And so next, there are some spots in our Mentor Collective Mastermind. If you are someone who is not making consistent money this month, if you are someone who's not been making consistent money on your product, if you're someone who has a product, you have a business, you have an idea, but you are ready to If you feel like your funnels need to be dialed in, if you feel like your social isn't dialed in, if you feel like your message is not quite hitting, like what we want to create is to make your brand and your messaging that instant place where people read it and they are so magnetized by you and they feel so seen that they can't help but buy your offer immediately. This is what we want to create with you guys. And so many people are really far off because you have not. Had the money to invest in a team. And what's so cool about Mentor Collective Mastermind is that we have that team for you that you get to borrow. So if you're having trouble building out your funnel, you get to chat with our funnels expert. If you have trouble with marketing, you get to chat with our marketing expert. If you are somebody who wants to literally talk to me about podcasting, you get to be on Q&A calls where we get to go deep and figure out your problem and how to market your podcast and what that should look like, how to get guests on there. You guys, this is the most complete mastermind. mastermind that you will ever, ever experience. So the coolest part is that when you come into Mentor Collective Mastermind, you get a call with some people on our team who literally get to find out what your goals are and analyze where you should start first, and then send you into those different rooms with those different mentors to tell you what to do and what to ask. So you guys, just DM me, just let me know if this is what you're interested in. Be like, Lori, I would love to chat about this. I'd love to get on a sales call. I really wanna dive deep. Like, this is the year for me that I am so sick of waking up and going, if I don't do something 6 months from today, I'm gonna freak the fuck out. Like, that's literally how I felt, like, all the time. And that is your sign that you need some help. You need people who have been there because you can't live like that. And if you have a big dream like I do, like huge dreams, you absolutely need to start taking action or you're gonna be a crazy person. You're gonna be like me where you actually start sabotaging your life. Mm-hmm. And you start waking up every day and you're just so frustrated that you're starting to push people away and you get so overwhelmed by what you do that you just feel like you wanna throw your phone at the wall. If this is you, I understand you, I get you. You are a visionary. You are somebody who needs help around you because you have the ideas and we need to get them flushed out and out into the world in a way that people can understand. And so you might even be really good at helping a ton of other people. You might actually crush it when people come into your program. Your program might be the best thing on earth, but for some reason it is not clicking for you on how to get that program out to the world and get your message out there. You don't have your funnels right, you don't have your ManyChat set up. Maybe you don't have a podcast sales flow that you can do. You have no idea what you are doing to get this program out and get people to see it. And we can help with that. So just DM me, let me know. I'll start a quick conversation with you. We can go back and forth on voice notes, and I would love to work with you. It'd be amazing to have you in my atmosphere. So let's get into the podcast. I wanna talk about how humble is keeping your business a secret. It is not cute to be humble in 2026. It's not cute to be humble at all. Now, some of you might be like, oh my God, that is like, that is triggering me right now. Cuz maybe you grew up religious like I did. Maybe Proverbs 27:2 came to your head where it says, let someone else praise you and not your own mouth. But Can you tell I'm like Bible religious girly, how I grew up here? And it was true programming. It was like, you do not brag on yourself. That is an ugly quality that goes against the Bible. Like that is not what we wanna see. It's like, see, but don't be heard. Like don't talk too much about yourself. Make sure that you bend over backwards for people. People please, people please, people please at the cost of yourself, at the cost of betraying yourself. Staying in these groups with friends of people who literally you have to, like, you feel awful afterward because you just feel like you can't even say anything about yourself. And you also just can't be yourself around those people. And that is the definition of insanity and feeling super suppressed, which will not work out well for you guys anymore. It's probably showing up in a whole lot of ways where you are sabotaging your relationships, or maybe it's showing up in your body where you truly are not feeling well. Maybe it's autoimmune stuff. Maybe it's showing up with a lot of resentment. Maybe it's showing up with how you treat your body, what you say to yourself. Maybe it's showing up with extra weight on. Maybe it's showing up with just feeling awful inside your body, which is not what we want. And you guys, we are not meant to keep things to ourselves in terms of who we are and what we have done. So I wanna really get into this. Because humble is not a good thing if you are growing a business, and even if you want to network, and even if you want to get friends. So I want you to think right now, before we get into this, where am I confusing humble with bragging? Because humble and bragging are two different things. Like, yes, you can be humble and you can be a nice person. You could have done all the things in the world, right? You could be a You can be a 3-time gold medal Olympian winner and be humble about it and not lead with that everywhere you go and demean people and make them feel bad and less than. That's what bragging is, right? But a lot of times we confuse bragging with humble. And so what I want to get clear to you guys is that your version of humble right now is what is keeping you small because you are thinking it's bragging. And those are two different things. You can be a loving, generous, amazing person who doesn't lead with, look at me and you're less then, and you're not as good as me, and you don't belong here if you didn't do these things. Two completely different things, but that is what you are confusing that is keeping you small. So where are you shrinking? Where are you going into a room and you are literally not sharing something that could help someone? Huge accolades that you have done, people that you could connect people with. You're holding yourself back, which also means you're withholding things that could change the game for other people. So I really wanna talk about this. Okay.
Okay.
So one of the first moments I really had this realization is when I went to a program. I had joined a program, um, you've probably heard me talk about this. I did something called Train the Trainer. It was $25,000. It was put on by Jack Canfield. I did not have that money. I'm telling you, I was like, can we put it on a credit card? And it's like, even though I may have had the money at the time, I'd never spent that type of money. So it's like, I don't even want to see this cash outgo, like literally go out of our bank account right cause that was like, felt traumatic to me, but it also was something that I knew I needed. So I was like, I wanna put on live events. I wanna be a big personal brand. I wanna know how to run events. And that's exactly what they did here. They trained trainers one week at a time for 3 weeks throughout the year. Super intensives, like 7 in the morning till 11 at night. Sometimes you'd leave the room at 6 or 7 and then you'd go and have dinner and then you'd have homework and then you have to meet up with someone to finish your homework. It was— It was insane and one of the best things that I've actually ever done because it got me stretched so far outside of my comfort zone that it proved to me that I could do some really crazy, incredible things outside of what I thought I was capable of. Now, I digress because at this Train the Trainer, for the first 2 weeks, I just kind of like sat pretty quietly. I did the exercises with people and a few people really started to get to know me, but it was a very small group. There were 70 people in this room. And I did not say anything about being a 3-time Fitness World Champion. I did not say anything about hitting millionaire in our network marketing company and making millions of dollars. I did not say anything about what I had accomplished. I did not say anything about the fact that I knew how to grow a social following, that I had a great website, that I had an online fitness program that had thousands of women in it. I said nothing. Nothing. So they just thought I was some very quiet girl who this was just something that I wanted to do. And by week 3, I ended up, I believe it was on stage, and I had to, you know, say some things that I had done. And people were like, "What the hell? You waited 3 weeks, this entire program, to tell us one of the most important things that we could use your story, know who you are, know who to connect you to, know how to help you." and I could help them with all of the things that they needed help with as well. You guys, it blew my mind that they were actually mad at me for not sharing. They're like, are you kidding me? When you are in a valuable room of people, lead with your value. And that was a moment I just literally could have kicked my own ass because it was like, what connections and conversations would I have had if I would've actually led with the things that I had done? and with who they knew they were working with, because some of the top people in there, some of the people who could have really gotten me incredible connections, why would they pay attention to me if they don't even know if I'm someone who follows through? Clearly, with a resume like that, I am someone who follows through. And so credibility isn't bragging, it's context, you guys. It literally tells people how they can help you. Mm-hmm. If they can trust you, how fast they can trust you. And you guys, this will move so quickly when they know these things about you. So stating facts is not bragging. There's an actual difference. So bragging is making it about status, it's needing validation, it's talking about people and making yourself look better, making them look less than, you know. Stating facts is giving people the information that they need to know how to help you. And no one is annoyed in a room when a doctor says they're a doctor because they're like, sweet, you could help me if I get sick. Like, I could ask you all these questions that I can't normally ask. I want you to think about that. Like, the fact that I was like, yeah, I, I'm a, you know, Fitness World champion. I help all these people get in shape. People are like, what the hell? You could have literally been like helping me. And I have this program I want to get online and you're doing it right now. Like, this would have been so valuable to the room, but you just fucking stayed quiet and then like you couldn't help anyone. That's, that's not adding value to the room, you guys. You actually have to lead with that. So it was like I was waiting to be discovered and humble people are waiting to be discovered. And I hate to tell you, that is not how this works. So the more that you can share what you do, the more discovering you is easier. So if someone can't Google you, how could they know what you've built? Yeah. You literally need to tell them, like, if it's not apparent, you have to lead with it. So here's a couple ways that you can turn any conversation into an opportunity without being weird about it. So you never wanna lead with yourself. You can open with genuine curiosity. So I always try to ask first, and some of the best openers that really light people up and open them up is one that I talk about all the time. What are you most excited about? What are you working on right now? What brought you here today? If you're at an event. So I love what's exciting because it really bypasses a lot of small talk and it gets people asking or talking about what lights them up. Like what truly is like out of everything in their life, this is really what I'm focusing on and what I wish I could be focusing on. So then and only then. They'll probably follow up with, what's exciting for you? And this is a place where you can say, you know, well, here's what I'm working on because I have a podcast, you know, I've been working on getting this guest, so I'm super excited. I just landed this guest for my Earn Your Happy podcast. They'll be like, oh my God, that's so cool. Tell me more about that. And so you guys, there's little ways that you can start putting out there in every social interaction. You can say a bit about what you do because guess what? The more people you meet, the more of a network that you open up and you just never know when you're gonna meet someone. So the best networkers in the world who literally have these pathways to all of these different people, which just means more answers and more opportunities. That's what I want you to get about networking, you guys. More answers and more opportunities is that at any given time you can go and ask somebody. for something that you need because you've added so much value. And people also know exactly who you are and that you've added value to their lives. So I also wanna share that your intro is your greatest networking asset, and a lot of people waste it. So let's think about how you introduce yourself because a lot of people undershare or they dump their entire resume on them. So it's one or the other. Mm-hmm. So the formula is what you do, who you do it for, and one unexpected fact that can create curiosity. So for example, let's just use me. Could say something fast like, hey, I host a top 25 Apple podcast. I run a mastermind for entrepreneurs who are tired of inconsistent sales. And before all of this, I was a 3-time fitness world champion and 11-time cover model. I was in the fitness world. That was like my main thing. So I pivoted quite a bit into what I do now. And so people might be like, oh my God, that's crazy. Like all of those different things and ask more questions, right? The unexpected fact at the end is kind of everything. It kind of says, whoa, that's the type of person you are. They're probably gonna remember you by it. This could be something, anything from your past. This could be a fun fact. This could be something that just makes them stop and go, oh my gosh, that's so unique. Like that's different than what most people say. So your intro should make someone really— want to say, hey, I wanna know a little bit more about you. Like maybe they ask more questions and this is the key.

If you start doing this and they ask more questions, you are doing it right. If not, keep switching it up, keep playing with it. And so I wanna go back into the bragging versus humble because this is the same idea as being interesting versus interested. So I always tell people, lead with being interested in the room and you'll be the most interesting person. However, you also have to make sure that you are getting your intro in there. So this is really how the most magnetic people work a room. So in any room, they lead with curiosity, not their credentials first. And being interested is what is gonna earn you the right to be interesting, right? To get that question back. So the formula for, for this one is one great question. Mm-hmm. Really, really listening. And then your intro when they ask, because they will. And what happens is when you lead with interest, lead with one great question, and then I honestly recommend one or two more great questions after that, because then the conversation is going to go to you and they're gonna do the same thing. So when you lead with interest, they feel connected to you. They actually feel like you really do care, and you do. Yeah. You're doing this with a genuine caring. Please don't do this in a way that you're just waiting for them to ask you the question, cuz they will feel that. Energy is everything in connections, you guys, in life and in relationships. So be genuinely interested no matter what, no matter if there's 20 more interesting people in the room that you would rather be talking to. You don't know that this one person might be cousins with someone that you need to get to know, right? Like that is how these things work. A lot of times you walk into these big rooms and you're like, ah, I need to talk to the host. Oh, I need to talk to this. This, you know, famous person or this big entrepreneur. A lot of times they're not the ones with the answers for you. A lot of times it's the people in the room who you need to sit with, be patient with, and also get to know. And that's where the magic is. So the goal isn't just collecting contacts, you guys. It's really making people feel like they are the most interested person in the room. And if you've ever read the book Go-Giver by Bob Burg, you're gonna know that all value is determined by how much you give. But you can't give if no one knows what you have. You guys, truly, they need to be able to go, oh my God, you were a fitness competitor? That's something I really wanna do. Oh my gosh, you have an online program? I would love to take one of my programs online. You have to tell them, and then all of a sudden you have value in the room. So if you really wanna know how to work a room, the follow-up is where most people drop the ball. So a same-day voice note, a text in a couple days, reminders for yourself to DM, to email, to connect them to that person. Like, make sure you follow up because this is one of the most important keys. You're just gonna leave that room and it's not going to matter at all. So my challenge for you is to start walking into every room and really think about what it would look like to feel fully seen and to add value because shrinking is what is keeping you small. And your network can literally only move as fast as the information that you are willing to give the people that you meet. So you guys, I'm sending you so much love. I'm so grateful for you. I would love to work with you. I would love to help absolutely make your brand totally magnetic and make people want to work with you the second that they hear that you understand their problems. You've understood how to package it online. You've understood how to package it in your funnels, and immediately you become a magnetized brand. We would love to work with you in Mentor Collective Mastermind. Like I said, this is like no other program where you literally get to work with our team. So a lot of times what the bottleneck is for a lot of people at years 1 through 5 is they just don't have the money to hire a team. And I'll tell you that being able to borrow ours is a game changer. So DM me, let me know. I'd love to get on a sales call with you and I will see you guys next week. Bye everyone. Bye.
