This is how I got to where I am. This is literally the real sequence, and this is the blueprint. I'm going to tell you the exact truth. I'm going to give you price tags of the things that I did. This is no shortcuts. This is not a magic moment. This is not overnight success. This is the real sequence that put me on the map. This is going to be what it takes in order to get yourself out there. Hey, everyone, welcome back to the podcast. It's time for another quickie, because there's always time to fit an inspiration. This is probably going to be one of my favorite quickies that I do for a while because it is all about the four things that put me on the fucking map. And it's the exact blueprint of how I built my brand. And what is so cool about this is that this is 100% duplicatable for you. You can follow the exact same map. And in fact, I even have something for you at the end if you're wanting to do the exact same thing that I'm very excited about. And before we get into this podcast, I want to let you know that we have put out a special offer for Glosi. If you don't know what Glosi is, it is my product. It is a skin routine that you can drink. I'm telling you, it's. You're gonna need to replace your afternoon coffee with this. And your skin and gut and bloat and glow is all gonna. Thank you. And that special offer for you is literally 40% off. First time customers, we decided that we want to make sure that all of you who are sitting on the fence actually get to try it. Because one thing we've learned with this company is when people try it, they are hooked for life. So that is our goal, is get more people to try Glosi. Head on over to Glosi. Use code Happy and get off. First time customers. Oh, you guys, I can't wait to hear what you think, because I was not even a watermelon fan and somehow I created my new favorite flavor, which is watermelon. And strawberry hibiscus is a close second. Lemon, I love you so much. I love to mix you in strawberry, but there's just new kids in town and I'm obsessed with them and can't stop drinking it. And thank God, because I need to drink more water. And for so many of you, I know that you do too. Okay, let's get into the podcast because this one is like lighting me up when I was writing this at the coffee shop. I could not get home fast enough to sit in front of my computer, in front of my microphone with nobody in this room and start freaking out for you. Because I know that you can follow this map as well. So let's get into it. The four things that put me on the map, this is the blueprint that you can follow as well. So if you've ever wondered how I got to where I am today, and that's probably the most asked question I have ever gotten in my inbox, can you tell me exactly how you built your career? I'm like, oh, good God. Like, this is going to take me some time. And today I wrote it out and we're going to see if we can fit this into the bite size quickie so that you don't have to waste your time and you can just follow the map. So this is how I built credibility. This is how I became someone people actually recognize in the industry. And I never believed that I would be able to do this. So for anyone who is new to me, maybe you got sent this podcast. I did not graduate high school. I'm from a really small town in upper Michigan, Marquette, Michigan, and I was homeschooled through high school. I was raised in a more restrictive religion. I was raised Jehovah's Witness. I went door to door, I talked about the Bible, I tried to recruit people. I recruited zero people in the 18 years that I was in the religion. It's just not a religion for me and for where I want to go with my life. My family is still in it. But with that said, I ended up homeschooling through high school, which led to me never finishing high school and not graduating. So I had a big story in my life, that I wasn't smart enough, I'd never amount to anything. And I carried this into my mid-20s until 2008 when I married my husband earlier. Sorry, married him in 2005. But in 2008 we ended up going through the recession, losing our home, losing our cars, and me being forced to start making money somehow. I'd always wanted to be a personal trainer, so I got into personal training. I failed my first test and ended up going into one on one personal training at a lifetime fitness or not a lifetime fitness. Sorry, at A la Fitness. Therehere we go. Making $6 per 30 minute session. Had the realization we would never pay off our debt with making $6 per 30 minute session. By the time I was 80 years old, potentially. And I decided to go into one on one training lower level of a chiropractic center that I was invited into from a client of mine from LA Fitness, started training there to quickly go off and start my own business. So from that kind of just got into this major world of network marketing, then really quickly entrepreneurship. And here's where everything changed for me. This is the real sequence after that. So this is the episode where I'm going to tell you the exact truth. I'm going to give you price tags of the things that I did. This is no shortcuts. This is not a magic moment. This is not overnight success. This is the real sequence that put me on the map. And the truth is that every major milestone in my career came after joining the right mastermind at the right time. So today I'm going to walk you through this exact order after what I just told you, and after training and starting my own small gym, I went mastermind to events, starting events, to another mastermind, to starting a podcast, to another mastermind, to writing a book, to then starting our own masterminds because of the sequence of events that my life fucking changed. Okay, event number one, the first mastermind. This was Jack Canfield. This was before anyone knew my name. I went in that room. I was scared shitless. Part of my story is that I have had massive anxiety panic attacks. And I showed up in there like a fucking wallflower. It's like I sat in the back. I hardly participated. I'd raise my hand and want to throw up. This was before the podcast, before any events, before the book. I joined Jack Canfield's Mastermind. This was $25,000 and it was three weeks long spread throughout the year. And it was from like 8 in the morning until it ended around 6. But we had homework that we had to go do with different people in, which kept us up until 10 or 11 at night. So it was like full all day of learning and doing homework. This was the first place that I built credibility. It was the first time people looked at me and thought, okay, who is she? Because towards the second and third event, I finally started getting more comfortable. And it wasn't actually until the third event that people in the room started going, wait a minute, you're doing fitness competitions and you have a gym and you're actually speaking up and, oh, you want to do events now? And you're showing up in the room and you're, you're raising your hand and you're, you're like speaking in these groups? Like, I finally started showing up in the mastermind that was the first mastermind that I did, and that was the first mastermind that I chose to actually show up because the price tag was so big that I was like, if you don't fucking use this, your husband is going to kill you. Like, Chris was going to kill me If I spent 25 grand when we did not have it, put it on credit cards and did not use this and make it happen. So this mastermind was called Train the Trainer, and it specifically taught me how to be a leader, how to run an event, how to curate a room, how to hold space, how a transformational event actually works. I learned all of the exercises on how to transform people within that room. We went through the exercises. We actually had to do them live in these groups for the three weeks. I've never been so uncomfortable in my life. And I'll tell you that a lot of the things that I teach in the mastermind rooms now, and anytime you're with me in person, you're gonna be changed because I'm gonna make you do some that you will not be able to ig ignore, and it will transform you at a core level, because that's what it did for me. And I know that if you can hide in my rooms, you're screwed. Like, you wasted your money if you can come and hide inside of our room. So we absolutely don't allow it, because it's gonna fucking transform you when you come in to our masterminds, that was foundational, and it led me directly to my first major step. This was events. This was building my own stage. Because of what I learned in that mastermind, I realized no one's inviting me on their stage. Nobody. I was trying to get on stages. I was asking to be a speaker, and I was like, fudge this noise. I'm literally going to build my own stage if you mother truckers do not invite me on yours. It was like nobody was listening. Nobody wanted me on their stage. And I get it. I had no credibility. I had nothing to prove. I didn't even have, like, reels of me speaking. I was pretty much a nervous Nelly going, can you please invite me on your stage so I can be seen and I can be this big person like Gabby Bernstein and Danielle laporte and all of these different people. No, I had no credibility. I had nothing that proved that I could bring value, value to their stage that they were paying a ton of money for. Why would they invite me if they spent all this money and they have this audience that they've been curating of course they wouldn't. So I was like, okay, I'm going to take the risk on me. I created events that eventually hit 500 people, sold out rooms. And these events gave me instant credibility. I positioned myself as a leader before anyone handed me that role. I anointed myself. I was like, if you guys aren't going to anoint me as good enough to be on your stage, I will anoint myself as the leader of this whole room. And I built massive relationship capital by inviting other people onto that stage that I created. That's really where it was like I was doing such a solid for people and allowing them, I was even allowing them at the time to sell from my stage. So a lot of times it's so funny. In the beginning, I didn't even make a bunch of money from my stage, which I wish I would go back. I wish I could go back and like, like teach myself the lessons that I all know now on how to really monetize the out of that room. Because I just had so much more to teach those people that I could have led them into deeper trainings with me. And instead I invited people on the stage and let them do it. Now I actually don't regret it because this is where I made most of my relationship capital is not only by inviting them on the stage in front of this die hard audience that I had created, but they also got to get paid. Like, I had a couple coaches who coached on the stage who literally got booked for the whole year from my stage multiple years in a row. Now that's some fucking relationship capital, let me just tell you. And I got to use some of those people later for letters of recommendation about my book that changed the game. So these are the things that I don't want you to forget about. I wasn't only building that stage for me and obviously to serve the people, and because I had this burning desire, I was building it for other people too. Like put some people on your stage and let them shine and help them grow their brands and their visibility. And that's going to change your life life. Because that is relationship capital that is going to pay off. So this was the first public moment where people saw me online and truly took me seriously. It was the moment that people were like, wait a minute, who is that girl having big events? What is that room? Who is she? Okay, maybe she could speak on my stage. Okay, maybe she could come on my podcast. But I also wanted to build a powerful personal brand. So I found the next. Can you guess it? I Found the next mastermind because the first one changed my life so much. There's reasons why they change your life. It's because you are immersed in a room of people who make you nervous, who are probably doing better than you, or at least better than you in some areas, and you're doing better than them in other areas. And there's so much value in that room and you guys have all paid the price to be there that you're taking it really serious. So I found the next room. In that next room was Lewis Howes, Mastermind. Lewis Howes, if you've heard of him, School of Greatness. At the time, he had a podcast I ran six miles, three times a week, and I would put his podcast in my ears and listen the whole time. I was always up to date on his podcast. I binged him. So the second he said he had a podcast, I DM'd him and said, I want to be a part of this. And he DM me back. He said, you'd be a great fit. And I was like, went home to Chris. I'm like, we need to join this mastermind because he right now is crushing building his personal brand. And this podcast is exactly, exactly what I want to do. So we got the price tag. The first year was 50k for a couple. So Chris and I joined. And then the year, I believe after that, or two years after that, because Chris was a part of it for three years, I was a part of it, like two, two and a half years, it was 40k a person. So as you can see, we were making money, but then also consistently investing money back into specifically learning exactly what we wanted to do from the people who were crushing it. Not short term, crushing it long term, actually crushing it. Not just online or saying that they are, but truly having the brand and the business to back it up. So did the investment, Like I said, stayed a part of this for a few years. And I knew I wanted to build a brand like that, and I wanted to launch a podcast that could potentially get to his level. Inside that Mastermind, everything accelerated. I met people like Jenna Kutcher, who is a friend. She's an investor in Glocee, she's a mentor, she's an incredible businesswoman. I am obsessed with the fact that I get to voice note someone who's so brilliant and such a lovely human being and sends me beautiful check in voice notes that I'm like, how this is so amazing. Like this many years later, we're still in each other's lives. Then Jasmine Star, who obviously is one of the most brilliant online marketers and also lives near me and is a great friend who's also in another mastermind that we now curate together, just a group of us. It's jasmine star, it's Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, it's Jamie Kern Lima, it's Lindsay Schwartz, it's Amy Porterfield, Jen Gottlieb, and we all just get together to support each other, to talk, to talk business, to talk life, to talk all the things. And that is literally because I met Jasmine at that Mastermind. Next person that I met at this Mastermind was Bill Glaser, who still helps advise on Gloce and help me learn how to raise money. Without Bill, I would have never started any of these companies. Then we met Jay Shetty, who I think you've heard of him, potentially. Not sure. I literally was just at Joe in the Juice, and if you don't know what it is, it's like this. I think it's from. I think it's a Dutch coffee company, but I am obsessed with it. And he has some thing on the menu. It's like a Jay Shetty smoothie or something. And I'm like, I just never thought back in the day meeting Jay Shetty at Lewis Howe's Mastermind, when he came to speak at our Mastermind, that I'd be ordering up a menu with a Jay Shetty shake or juice or whatever the hell it is. I'm like, this is insane. Just the access that you get in long term play that Masterminds have, have. And then I also met Rory Baden, who is a speaker there, which Jay Shetty was a speaker at at Lewis's Mastermind as well. And because it's a small room in close quarters, you get to meet people, take photos, like really drop in with them, which was crazy. Like, that's the bonus of Mastermind. So Rory Baden, who sends me guests for my podcast, like really big name guests all of the time. And I did a bunch of affiliate podcasts where he came on the podcast and I shared what he does for a living. And those podcasts still pay me affiliate revenue every single month to this day, even though it's been years and years and years. It's probably been like six years since I did my first one, maybe more. And so I even started writing my first book during this Mastermind. I didn't have a ton of clarity on it yet or knew what it was, but it was all because I learned here. My life changed. I learned so much from his Mastermind. It was mind blowing. I mean, being in there the two and a half years was just like next next level for me. So from that I launched the earn your happy podcast and it became a full blown platform. Listen to me. It became top 25 Apple iTunes entrepreneurship podcast pretty much from the get go. It is still a top 25 entrepreneurship podcast. You guys. I just looked on my phone and pinned a comment from Stephen Bartlett, diary of a CEO who's congratulating me on being a top 25 podcast for the past nine years. Like what? I dabble in and out of it for the past nine years. Is it there every single day? No. Is it there every couple of weeks? Absolutely. And to me, that kind of longevity to still be up there organically. By the way, a lot of you don't know this, but there are people who pay to stay in top 25 and unfortunately it's a lot of spots. Dots. I'm just saying, I think that's important to know when you're trying to get in top 25 and you do it organically. It's not a small lift. You're also up against that. So I am not paying for it because number one, I'm not spending the 5 to 10k a month just to stay in there. Number two, I want to know where I'm organically at and I have over 65 million downloads. Unfortunately, I don't know my exact number above and beyond that, it could be 20 million more, it could be 50 million more because I had to switch platforms mid podcast and I lost all of my first information. So I get to be more than that. But here we are at 65 million downloads. I don't think that's anything to sneeze at. So it is a major networking magnet for me. It helped me get investors for my company. It has become the network builder of my entire life, getting some of my favorite people, some of my best friends in my world. It's become such a fucking confidence builder to be able to turn this microphone on and just start talking with no one in the room and be able to do exactly what I'm doing right now. Where if you go back and compare this to my first episode, you guys, I highly recommend doing that. You're going to feel so good about yourself because it sucks. Love her, but come on, we all started somewhere and we all have to start somewhere. And so this also became a multi six figure affiliate vehicle where I've launched other people's stuff on here and gotten paid that this has become such an incredible money Making machine for me with people booking to come on the podcast and paying for spots. And also people are also ads, great partnerships and getting multiple six figures a year from this platform. So fucking grateful for that. And truly it's the center of my entire ecosystem. So this podcast is one of the biggest things that put me on the fucking map. And that started from Lewis Howes and Lewis Howes Mastermind. But when it came time to write my book, I knew that I needed, needed deeper personal and spiritual work. Like I felt like I needed to get so grounded because I, you know, coming from a totally different religion, I think speaking up about fully how I felt, just, you know, wanting to talk about God and spirituality and you know, money and all the things that are big triggers, I knew I needed to get rooted and have somebody help me with that. Enter Gabby Bernstein. Someone gave me her book Spirit Junkie. And I binged that book so hard. I was like, I have to work with this woman and I want a career just like hers. I want to write books, I want to be doing these masterminds that she's doing, you know, these different group classes as well, these different little events that she has. And I ended up, she ended up in the beginning, this was earlier in her career, her Spirit Junkie days. She opened up like two coaching spots. The second I got this email, I jumped on it. If I remember correctly, I think it was 8K and I think it was like two or three coaching sessions for like an hour. And this girl cracked me wide open, called me out, called me up and that first investment in her changed my life. From there on out, I invested in every course she had, which I believe they were anywhere from 3 to 8k. I think they were around the 2 to 3 grand price spirit Junkie masterclass. She had some book writing things that I totally binged. And I ended up working with her like I said, one on one and then through all of her courses. And I did Spirit Junkie masterclass in person. The first one she did in New York City, I flew to New York City, did the masterclass that ended up changing my life more than I can tell you. And I started affiliating for her, meaning I started selling that course whenever she would launch. I did two years of back to back six figure launches where I got paid six figures for launching it to my audience. But then I also made her multiple six figures for launching it to my audience, if that makes sense. So affiliating. So we ended up having a very beautifully abundant relationship, launching something that changed My life. I couldn't shut up about it. I was the walking, talking billboard of how it was bringing me more confidence, more money, more connection. It like magnetized the fuck out of my life. So with Gabby, I did a lot of identity work. Message clarity, like, like emotional and spiritual mastery. I wouldn't say mastery because I'm never mastered at either of those things. But it truly just got me into such a rooted place, you guys. I started to feel so aligned with my message and that also outside of Lewis and Jack, but I started to really understand the true meaning of the long game and what relationship capital look like. Because I became that six figure affiliate for her for a couple years. Because every time she had a book, I shared her launches on my platform. Like with links. I would talk about them multiple times. I bought people books. Like I would always be giving people spirit junkie. I'd always be giving them the universe has your back. Like I would be promoting her stuff whenever I saw it. If she had a book launch in Los Angeles, I would bring five to 10 friends every single time and I would just sing her praises. I would send links to everybody. I would try to fill them as much as as possible. I ran giveaways on my podcast for her book. Every book that she had out, I would have her on my podcast. I invested in our relationship without asking anything in return. And because of that, when I did write my book, the moment that I wrote it, I knew who I wanted to do the forward. I wasn't attached, but I asked Gabby and she said yes. This was huge for me because of all of that time and energy invested and obviously I got that everything out of that as well. But because I gave back, it was an instant yes for her. She wrote my forward, has my or has her name on the front of my book. That was huge for me. It helped me book a lot of podcasts. But not only that, she gave a recommendation to my publisher. And I fully believe that because of her and a couple other people, I fully believe that this hat helped me land over a six figure book deal for a first time author. You guys, people were telling me I'd be lucky If I got 10, 10 to 15 grand, you guys. I got 125 grand for my first book deal because I had people who vouched for me like this. That is mind blowing for a first time book deal. Some people have gotten more, but back in the day, you guys, that was mega, mega. That was huge. So. And when the book launched, my masterminds that I had Started that I started from this, supported it, it, my events, validated it. My podcast had the numbers to help amplify it and help get me on other podcasts. My relationships, promoted it. You guys, this is where it kind of all came together. This is the moment where my credibility literally became undeniable to people. I had so many people in my corner from investing in their stuff that when you invest in people's stuff, they're willing to invest in you because that is a down payment that says I, I'm serious and I want to learn from you, I want to be in your space. So this is how I got to where I am. This is literally the real sequence and this is the blueprint Mastermind to events. So it was Jack Canfield to my own event, that big 25k scary ass investment that I didn't have the money for, to hosting my own investment, which was a whole other investment in itself. But because I had calculated risks, I understood it. I learned from people who guided me the whole time. It didn't feel that that risky because it was a lot more calculated. Then I did another mastermind. I did Lewis. How's Mastermind? Then I started my podcast and started writing a book. Then from there I did gabby stuff essentially like masterminds. Then that really helped me write the book, get the book deal, do all the things that put me on the map. You know how much sleep affects everything from your mood, your energy, and you hear me talk about this with skin all the time. But let's be really honest, unwinding at night night for entrepreneurs and anyone who's listening to this podcast is probably pretty challenging because we love to replay the day and think of our big goals and all of the things that we want and need to be doing the next day. That's why my nighttime routine has become a non negotiable. It's become super sacred to me and I've been using OSEA products and their dream collection has completely up leveled how I wind down at night. Their Dream Night Serum and their Dream Dream Night Cream are clinically tested formulas powered by bioretinol and they're designed to reduce the visible effects of stress on your skin while you sleep, which I really need right now. I wake up feeling like my skin actually got to rest. It feels softer, it feels smoother, and it feels really nourished. And as someone who struggles with really dry skin, I love how rich and creamy these feel without being heavy. So my nightly wind down ritual isn't just about skincare. It's about creating a sense of serenity at the end of the day. So it's choosing products that work while you sleep and this helps me slow down, settle in and take care of myself because skincare really is self care and I am also obsessed with the scent of these and I'm excited to share that OSEA just launched their newest product in the Dream collection, the Dream Bioretinol Body Serum which is a full body overnight treatment that visibly de stresses the skin skin with a blend of bioretinol, red seaweed, magnesium and lavender which is why I love the smell. It helps reduce visible dryness and dullness, improves elasticity and leaves your skin feeling softer and smoother by the morning. If you are 500k and below, we have mentor collective Mastermind, which is one of my favorite things that I get to do. We get to go in that group every other week for 90 minutes and answer questions live. I know your face, I know your name, I know your business. And then on the other times that we are not in there, we have coaches who are coaching for the other two weeks. Not to mention we do have all of the coaches in there for every area of your business. This with on demand questions answered. So 24 to 48 hours, you will get every single question you have answered in the Circle app. And it is the most incredible group of people. You guys need to go and check that out. You can click the other link below or you can comment mentor on any post or message me mentor in my Instagram.
