What's up, guys? So I'm over here at the Point Hilton Tapatio Cliffs. Just had a meeting to get everything set up for moving sales Academy live. Have another meeting here in a few, waiting on some staff members to get here and just kind of run through everything. So I figured, let me go live with you for today. Give you a nice, beautiful scenery. I know it's snowing in a lot of places in the country and. Yeah, figured I'd bring you outside with me here. It's beautiful. It's probably, I don't know, 70 degrees. They say, Chris, 70 degrees, 72. And yeah, I want to talk to you today about. I plan on talking about this later, but I was like, you know what? Let's give him some scenery, let's give him some sunshine, bring it in for the day and talk to you about, you know, your role, right. So as a moving company owner, how you view yourself, what your role is in the business. And, you know, something that I realized, you know, a lot of years ago was that, you know, you're not just a moving company owner. You know, a lot of moving company owners want to say, hey, I'm a moving company owner. That's what I do. You know, that's. That's. I should be focused on trucks, I should be focused on movers. But, you know, the reality is where we are in 2019, in this modern day of the moving business is, is that you really have to start looking at yourself as a marketer. You really have to start looking at yourself as a salesperson. And what that means is not necessarily that you have to be a salesperson, but that you have to initiate those processes within your business. Because we all know that if you don't have the leads coming in, and we all know if you don't have the sales coming in, that it's hard to sustain a business. Right. I mean, we're coming out of the slower part of the year. And so I talked to a lot of moving company owners and I've talked to companies that, you know, have their sales process on point, they've got their marketing on point, they've got things diversified, they know their numbers, they've got leads coming into a system that they're able to send them through and feel confident that the follow up's being done, feel confident that, you know, the sales scripts are on point. Right. That they have their sales process. So the point today is that, you know, you've got to start viewing yourself not just as a moving company owner. Okay. Because that's all that is is the product that you fulfill, right? You fulfill a service for people, and your product is moving people. But if you don't know how to market that product, if you don't know how to sell that product, it's kind of useless, right? And I say this not to sit here and tell you what I think you need to do. I say this because at a real concern for people out there that I know have amazing companies that provide amazing service, but yet they. Thank you. But yet, you know, they're struggling to get that additional business. They're struggling to bring in, you know, those additional moves. I want to see more good companies, more people that I know have great movers, I know have, you know, that intention to go out there and provide quality service to your customers. I want to see you with more moves, right? I don't want to see you struggling through the wintertime. I don't want to see you praying for March to come around. I want to see you sustainably having more business all year round. And that really first starts with you. It first starts with saying, you know what? I have to view myself as a marketer. I have to view myself as a salesperson, as somebody to not only just even if you're not the closer. And I know a lot of people say, louis, I'm not a salesman. I don't like talking to people. And I get that, right? Like, I get that you want to come to your office and just kind of go lock yourself in the door. You don't want to follow up with people. You don't want to do this stuff. However, if you're going to build a business that requires marketing and requires sales, you have to know how to do this stuff, and you have to know how to hire the people, train the people, get them on your phones to book more moves. Just think about it right now. Think about if you had a solid sales team, okay? And what that means for you. It might mean one person for you, right? You might need to hire five people right now. You might need to hire 10 people right now. I don't know how big your company is, but the principles are all the same. But it all starts with you accepting that, you know what? Lewis is right? Like, I need to be a marketer, right? I need to be a salesperson, even if that means I'm not the person selling, right? And realize that if I don't have these sales processes, if I don't have these things set up in my business, it's going to be very hard to sustain My mission, and if your mission is to build a successful moving company, it all starts with the marketing and the sales, right? Listen, you know, you guys hear me talk a lot about marketing and sales. I, you know, not to brag. I ran six companies, companies across the country doing $20 million a year. I know the entire business from start to finish. It's not just sales and marketing. However, I know most of you know the entire business also, right? You know how to get your movers out there. You know how to go out and move furniture. You know how to handle the day to day operations. What I want you to have is more of those day to day operations to handle, more moves to handle. Right? And that's why we're talking about coming out to moving sales academy. All right. By the way, if you're not already signed up, I'm here. We're pretty much at capacity. We got a few seats left. Go to movingseminar.com if, if you're watching this on a replay and there's no tickets left, you know, check with us for the next dates that are coming up the next time we do this. But I'm here at the hotel right now. I had a meeting with the staff. Look how beautiful it is here, by the way. Like, this is like trying to work this new thing I got. For those of you that saw my other one fall in the car the other day, got a new one. But you know the, the ballroom over there, there's a whole group in there. I'd take you and show you the ballroom, but the point today, and I was going to do this from the office, but again, I know you guys are dealing with some, with some snow and some cold weather in the country. So I said, you know, let me bring them outside today. Let's talk to him today. Get some. I'm actually overdressed. A little warm here today. Sorry to get a little sweat going. But you, you've got to build your, you've got to focus on your market. You got to focus on your sales, period, period. You can't just wait for summer to come around and hope that things are going to get busier, right? It just, it doesn't work that way and I want to do that for you. So make sure you go to movingseminar.com come check me out. All right? But again, let's get back to the point. The point here today is not to sell you tickets to moving sales academy. All right? I'm going to be fine whether you come or not. It's not about that, right? I'm here to provide service. I'm here to provide value. I'm here to take what I know and share it with you so that you can take your company to the next level. I did it already. Right? So today I just want to, you know, get you in that mindset of saying, you know what? I do need to make sales a priority. I do need to make marketing a priority and understand that it doesn't have to be so difficult. What's difficult is that we don't know how to do something right? But when someone shows you the steps of exactly what to do, all of a sudden it's not a mystery anymore. Right? And that's what this seminar is all about. I mean, yes, it's an amazing networking opportunity. There's going to be moving companies from all over the world. You know, you're going to meet some amazing people here, some future connections. I mean, I know that businesses have already been formed and established from alumni in the past that met each other here, and now they're, you know, partners in some new amazing venture. But it's more about what you'll be able to learn and the confidence that it's going to give you to set up these processes for yourself. All right? But it all starts again with saying, you know what? I am a marketer. I am a salesperson, and these things are required for me to have a moving company. And otherwise, I'm, you know, kind of just sitting around waiting for things to fall in my lap. And if that's where you've been so far, that's okay. I get it. I understand. But you know what? We're all. We're all here for only so long, right? And if you're gonna go spend your precious hours at your business every day, it's time to, you know, start looking at it with a different perspective. And that perspective needs to be, hey, it is my role, it is my responsibility, and it is my duty to make sure that I have enough business coming in here, right? Not to only to take care of my. My staff and keep my guys busy, right? Keep my employees busy, but to be able to take care of my family, right? Not just our basic needs, but you know what? Live your life in a way that that's enjoyable. That's fun. I mean, there's people here. I'm walking around. There's people, you know, right now just kind of like on vacation, hanging out. There's a whole water park back there. There's kids playing in the pool. You know, that's that's really what it's all about, right? I mean, sitting and, and, and, you know, being in the office is cool, right? But when you're there, make it count. Make it count so that you could go enjoy your life, right? Whatever it is you want to do, whatever it is, you know, whatever's fun, whatever your kids have been wanting to do, whatever your wife or husband has been wanting to do, that's what it's about, right? This is just a means to get there, right? I mean, your purpose in life, I don't know what that is for you, but it may or may not be to build a great moving company. However, whatever it is you want to do, money will help you do it. And if you're in the moving business, that's what we're talking about. We're talking about getting money in the moving business, right? You want to give back. You want to build schools in Africa. You want to take care of your family, extended family. You want to be able to retire your parents. You need to start thinking about making more money and stop accepting the limited barriers of what you think is possible in the moving business. If all I ever do for you in these videos is show you what is possible, I've done my job, right? Because if we don't think that we can get to a certain level with the things that we do, then we're just not going to make the effort, right? Let's see. Yeah, Robert, that's it, man. Get money, right? Katz from London, what's going on? You need to be here for this weather, cats. So listen, guys, again, the message today, it's Monday. The message is start looking at it and saying to yourself, yes, I own a moving company, but with that, I have many roles, and two very important roles are to be an excellent marketer, okay? Which is what I want to teach you here over these three days. And to be an excellent salesperson. Because if you have a great product and a great service, but nobody knows about it, you're not doing anyone any favors, right? The more customers that you can get through sales and marketing, the more you could do a good job. The more repeat and referral business you could get, the more money you get, right? And again, we're here. I see some people just joining us. It's not just about money. It's about freedom, right? It's not about money to just go, you know, make it rain or whatever you want to do with the money. Be flashy with it. It's about the freedom, right? I mean, I'm here I'm working today. I'm here. I'm working. This is. We're at the. Where we're having the event, but there's tons of people here on vacation. Kids at the water park over there having fun. People going to spring training games, like, following their passions, doing fun things. Why? Because they have the ability to do it right. And that's what it is to thrive in life, right? You got a profit in business, and you've got to thrive in life. But on this Monday, the message I want to give you is start viewing yourself as a salesperson. Start viewing yourself as a marketer and realizing that it is a crucial skill in this modern day and age of the moving business. If you've been doing this 20 years and you're like, hey, you know what? I've been doing just fine. Let me ask you a question. Is your business going up, is it going down, or is it plateauing? All right, because you've got to learn to adapt with the times. You got to learn what's working today. And guess what? It's not that hard once you know the steps, really, right? It's not complicated. Everything seems hard when you, you know, when you're doing it for the first time. You should have seen me trying to figure out this contraption here that I'm holding the phone on, right? You guys that are watching me. The other day, I was. I was in my car live, and the thing I had there fell down, right? You know what? I don't want things to fall down for you. I don't want you to have to spend half a morning trying to figure out how to use stuff. I want to show you the step by step of how to get there. All right? Come join me. Unless you have some major reason why you can't come spend three days. You need to go to movingseminar.com. you need to get your ticket. Think about what you did last weekend, right? Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. That's all we're talking about here. What did you do last weekend? Could you have spared those three days? And then now on Monday, you're armed and equipped with the tools and the resources and the information and the step by step blueprint of exactly what to do to really, like, hit the ground running. Imagine what that would have been like because you went and spent the weekend, like, somewhere beautiful. I mean, come on, I'm not asking you to, you know, come join me in some, like, awful place. Anyways, I see you guys there. I see who's coming. And again, the message today. View yourself as a marketer. View yourself as a salesperson and start focusing on what you could take home from the business. Service your customers correctly. Build a. Build a business that's sustainable over the long term so they could take care of you, your family, your employees over the long term and be able to have systems and processes in place so that you could walk away and step away and take a trip and take a vacation and enjoy life. Because that's what it's all about. Listen, it's Monday. Go crush it between today and Friday. And then make sure you thrive and enjoy your weekend. And next weekend, come join me here. All right? Come join me in Phoenix. I'd love to see you. Let me know who's coming and I'll see you guys next time. And I'll see those of you that are coming out here in Phoenix. Go out there today and every single day. Profit in your business. Thrive in your life. I'll see you later.
