A short excerpt from a YouTube video in which Louis Massaro advises business owners to shift focus from continually fixing problems to identifying what is already working and deliberately expanding it. He notes a common pattern of treating improvements as 'done' too quickly (e.g., new processes, marketing, or hires) instead of scaling them to their full potential.

Tend to focus so much on the challenges, on the problems. But really the secret to growing your business is to think about what's working and how do you expand upon that, how do you build upon that? You know, I learned this years ago because it was always like, okay, what's the problem? What's the challenge? Fix it. That's done. Move on to the next thing. That's done. Move on to the next thing. And what I realized is that oftentimes what done is isn't necessarily to its full capabilities, right? We implement the new process, but we don't really train everybody, right? We do a marketing strategy, we get it going, but we don't then expand it to the rest of the market. When we realize that it's working, right, we hire some help, like, oh, we got the relief. They're making me money. But we don't continue to hire more people because we're automatically trying to get off the checklist to the next problem and the next thing.
