Planning and Productivity for Moving Company Owners

Louis Massaro (Moving CEO series) teaches planning and productivity practices for moving-company owners to systematize work and prepare for scaling. Key advice: clarify your what/why/how, choose three big quarterly objectives and break them into milestones and action steps, do weekly planning tied to those objectives, use an idea→done capture/process workflow, and apply the triage "Eliminate / Automate / Delegate." He also recommends protecting deep-work time (a "focus fortress") and previewed upcoming episodes on systematizing sales, marketing, operations, customer service, and accounting.

You know, when people hear the word productivity, they feel like it's a very rigid thing. Right? But for me, planning and productivity equals peace. Right? When you're organized, when your business is organized, when your day is organized, when your life is organized, it allows your mind to rest. It allows your mind to be at ease and not feel like it has to constantly be figuring everything out. They say, you know, work, work smarter, not harder. There's real truth to that. But nobody really teaches you how to go about doing that. Right. Everybody's quick to say it, but what does that actually mean? Right? So I'm going to break that down for you here today. All right, what's up, guys? We are back for the moving CEO scaling series. We've been going strong now three days. This is the fourth day we're doing this here. Basically, this is a 14 day series that we're going through the process of taking your moving company to that next level by scaling it. And we started off by first stabilizing what is already there. Then today we're moving into systematizing. Then we're gonna be moving into scaling because, you know, as we're coming out of this busy moving season, it's really important to focus in for the next six months. If you're really looking to take your company to that next level, these are the months to do it. You know, summer might be moving season. October through March is scaling season. All right, so today I want to talk to you about something. It's perfect timing. It's Sunday, you know, and today's the type of day where I am not going to be doing any work. As soon as this is done here today, my phone goes away and it doesn't come out till later tonight, which I'll talk to you about in a minute. But in order to scale, in order to get to that next level, in order to remove yourself from the day to day, in order to set up a business that has people that are running it for you. Right? A business that has consistent cash flow, a business that runs smoothly. It can't always be reaction. Go, go. Task, task, task. There needs to be some planning and there needs to be some structure and some systems behind your productivity. So we're going to talk about that today because that's what I work on on Sundays. All right, Humbled one, I see there. I'm riding my bike right now. Be careful. All right, if you guys are with me today, leave me a comment down below. We are live. We're going through this, and we're going to Be talking about systematizing your planning and your productivity. All right? Sunday is the perfect time to be doing that. And we are going to be heading into this week with the rest of the moving CEO scaling series. We're going to be talking about systematizing your moving company's lead generation, your marketing, right? Your sales and your sales process, your operations, customer service, accounting. Then once we've kind of systematized all that, then we're going to get into scaling the process of taking what's working and duplicating it or taking what's working and increasing it, all right? Scaling your business. But today we're talking about planning and productivity. And the reason we're talking about that, you know, when people hear the word productivity, they feel like it's a very rigid thing, right? But for me, planning and productivity equals peace, right? When you're organized, when your business is organized, when your day is organized, when your life is organized, it allows your mind to rest. It allows your mind to be at ease and not feel like it has to constantly be figuring everything out, right? So, you know, we're building up to getting into scaling, all right? But I want you to scale to where you're scaling and you're not suffering. You know, there's a lot of people, myself included, when you open that second location or that third location, you think it's going to be just as easy as running that one location. And it's a whole different ball game. So we want to make sure that you're ready to go. We want to make sure you've got all this other stuff dialed in. We've stabilized some few, a few things in the first few days now. We're going to systematize, then we'll talk about scaling so that you do it the right way, right? Long term, sustainable success in the moving business. That's what we're talking about. And so, you know, it's. They say, you know, work, work smarter, not harder. And there's. There's real truth to that, right? There's real truth to that. But nobody really teaches you how to go about doing that, right? Everybody's quick to say it, right? Everybody. You know, you're like, oh, yeah, planning well, work, work smarter, not harder. Everybody's quick to drop that line. But what does that actually mean, right? So I'm going to break that down for you here today so that we could strive to reach that next level in our business, in our moving company, whatever that may mean for you. It is really an unlimited business. I've been Saying it for years, this is as close to a recession proof business as you can get. And now we're seeing it's as close to, to a pandemic proof business as you can get. So I'm just really excited about this today. I want to get into this. So get your pen out, get some paper, take your notes, whatever. You take them on your phone, your computer, and let's get into systematizing your planning and your productivity. First thing is you've gotta ask yourself, what, why, how, what do I want? Why do I want it? How do I get it? Right? This right here will start off, set off a chain of events like you would not believe. The more you ask yourself this question, the more you'll get very, very clear on what you're after. Okay? Because most people don't know what they're after, right? And that's, it's just the reality of it. Because most people aren't taking the time to really dig deep and ask themselves, like, what do I, what do I want? You know, yeah, I'm going to work every day. Yeah, I'm building this business. But like, what am I trying to get? What's the ultimate goal? You know, not like, what's the short term goal? What's the ultimate goal? What do I want in my life? Why do I really want that? What's that going to bring me? Okay, now that I know, I feel good about that, it's a mission that's worthy of going after. How do I get it? How do I make it happen? Right? It all starts with this. And so make time to go through an exercise, all right, and just think about, okay, what do I want? What am I after? Can you could do this with your business too? What needs to be done right in the next six months of scaling season? Right? Moving seasons over. Most people, if it slows down a little bit, they get in a panic. Now is the time to implement the stuff that you haven't had time to do. We need these cycles, right? We need time where it's super busy and time where it's, you know, dips off a little bit. We need that in this business to really scale. And if we start looking at that, we'll stop panicking when things slow down and go, okay, no, no, no, this is scaling season. This is my time to really implement the things that I want to do to really get to that next level, right? So you start thinking, okay, what do I need to do over the next six months? What needs to happen to really get us where we need to go, okay, why is that important to the business? And why is it important now? Okay, and then how do we go about doing it? And how do you go about doing it? You just start brainstorming, right? Start coming up with different ideas on how you get there, whether you want to meet with your team, whether you just want to do a journaling session. You've got to think about those questions. I ask myself them all the time. I journal about them, right? And it just helps you get crystal, crystal clear. Because when you're crystal clear on everything that you're doing, it makes it so much easier if you have to ask yourself this every day, Every day. If you've got to do it at least once a week, you should be thinking about this. Pick a time where you think through the what, the why, the how. Okay? Once you've got that in mind. All right. Because if you're like most business owners, once you've got all this in mind, here's the trick, you know, and here's the dilemma. But it's something that you want to embrace. You know, when you start thinking about the what, the why, the how, it's very easy to get overwhelmed. Because as an entrepreneur, as a business owner, as someone who's the visionary of your business, you've got a lot of ideas, and you see a lot of different things that you want to do and a lot of different things that you want to implement, right? But we have to face facts with. We can't do them all at once. That will just lead to burnout and, you know, losing your sanity. So what we need to do is we need to have a system and a way to go, okay, here's the what, here's the why, here's the how. But how do I now break this down in a way that's going to be impactful, that will, you know, be impactful to getting me to where I want to go, right? So if you're like, I want to. I want to. I want to net. I want to personally make 600,000 or a million dollars or whatever it is, right? For the year. And you're like, okay, that. That's my what. Okay, your why is. You know, we talked about it in a previous episode, you know, figuring out what you want in life, right? When we talked about stabilizing your money, what you want in life and how much it's going to cost, well, you're like, hey, I need to make, you know, 600,000 a year. Why? Because I have got this lifestyle, this list of, you know how I want to live. And so. And the reason I want to live that way is because, you know, you could really get deep on it, too. You could really get in there and say, you know, I want that because I want my children to be able to experience the quality of life that I was never able to experience. I want to be able to retire my parents so that they don't have to work and do anything anymore. I want to be able to give back to this, you know, charity or to my church or to whatever it is, because I know they're really helping people out there, right? You could really get deep with your why. And then you start figuring out the how, right? So now the next step, what you want to do is you want to start creating quarterly objectives, okay? Quarterly objectives. We will completely stress ourselves out if we really start making a list of everything we want to accomplish and then have no real method to getting it done. So an objective. Think of an objective is like a mission that you're going to go on, okay? And what you want to do is you want to take a look at the quarter. So you've got the first quarter, right? January through March. Then you have second quarter, third quarter, and right now, October 1st starts the fourth quarter, right? October, November, December. And my suggestion is that you pick three big quarterly objectives every quarter. And so this way, and I'll give you an example of that in a minute. This way, instead of just working on like, little thing, little thing, little thing, little thing, you're like, okay, what are the three big, big needle movers that are going to take me to that? What then I'm after, okay? And really make an impact, right? If you need to boost sales, one of your quarterly objectives is increase sales by 30%. Then maybe you need to get your movers trained a little bit, right? They need some training. Design and implement mover training program. Okay, that's two. Maybe you need to get an updated or get into a moving CRM. Get CRM implemented and team trained, right? So, you know, you may look at that and go, well, that's. That's not really. That doesn't seem like a lot. But what we want to do is when you go on a mission, you want to go on a mission. You don't want to just scratch the surface on improving sales, right? You don't want to just scratch the surface on training your movers. You don't want to just try a software and not really set it up. You want to get in there and do it once, do it once, and for all and let it be done, right? Think about this for a minute. If you, that's, if you take three big objectives per quarter, right? The things that right now are gonna make the biggest impact, right? Just sit down and go, oh man, I've got this whole list of things that I want to do, okay? Now go back through and start prioritizing. You might have to do a few rounds until you come up with three. Once you come up with three, you start, you know, diving down, you start really drilling down into to planning it out. We'll talk about that in a minute. But think about this. You got three per quarters, four quarters per year. That's 12 big objectives per year, okay? This will transform your business in one year. All those things you've been wanting to do, all those things you've been wanting to get to, all those, you know, it's like you look back at, oh my God, I wanted to do that forever. I've been wanting to do that forever. And the reason that these big things don't get done is because we're distracted by too many small things. The fires that need to get put out, the day to day tasks and emails and checklists and all that. So you pick yourself three big objectives, right? Once you have an objective, you take the objective. You're like, okay, out of this objective, how do we get there? Okay, so what are some of the milestones we have to hit? What then? What are all the action steps? You literally just chunk it down, right? Just list all the steps that you need to take. This is where, this is where people get stuck. This is where people get overwhelmed. This is where I used to get stuck and I used to get overwhelmed is that we look at this big thing and we never get started. Just make a list of the steps, then you put the steps in order. Then you figure out who's going to do the steps. Then you figure out when those steps need to be done by in order to hit that target. And that's it. You know, you hit your three big objectives for the quarter. Okay, great, throw in another one, right? People take on too much, spread themselves too thin, don't dive deep enough and really get to the root of the problem or the opportunity and crush it, right? That's what you want to do. We're talking about scaling your business. We're talking about getting to the next level. I'm giving you guys the tools to get there. This is like the, this is the stuff, right? This is the stuff. Like when we're going to start tomorrow on Sales and marketing and operations, we're going to tomorrow, we're jumping into that. But I want to get you geared up. I want to get you ready. I want to turn you into a weapon, right? To where you can go and get the stuff you want to get done. Done. This is working smarter and not harder. This is the method, right? And it's not that hard. Right? We just think about what we want, you know, we simplify it. We grab three things every quarter and we go and we get them done. Right? Doesn't mean you're not still working the day to day, but you're working these three big objectives for three months while you're working the day to day, okay? Then the next thing for planning, once you've got that down, then you do weekly planning. Okay, weekly planning. This is taking, you know, an hour, maybe, maybe two every week. An hour will usually get it done. Once you're in a rhythm and planning out your upcoming week. Right? So for me, today's Sunday. This is why I did this today and on Sundays, I put the phone away, I put the computer away. This is my home office. I don't come in here, okay? But there's no work, there's no phone. There's none of that. Right? Today is a day for family and fun and relaxation and reflection. Family, fun, relaxation and reflection. Then tonight after dinner, okay, I will come in here or I'll go, you know, get the laptop. I'll go sit somewhere. We have a few places to sit throughout the house or outside if the weather's nice. And I will plan my upcoming week based upon my quarterly objectives, which are based upon what I'm after. See how it all comes together. We figure out what we want. We break it down quarter by quarter, right? You don't, by the way, you don't have to decide what you want, what's going to happen in every quarter moving forward, Right. I know a lot of big corporate companies will, you know, have. They need stuff like that for shareholders and all that. We don't need that. We just need to look at the upcoming quarter. If you want to maybe like, put some stuff like, okay, no, you know, if I got six things, I'll be like, okay, these three things, you know, the whiteboard behind me, I do have six months up there worth of stuff, right? Those are my objectives up there. So I could see them every day and focus on them and know what's important. Because otherwise, what happens? What happens? We all know the text message comes in, the phone call comes in, the emails don't stop the fire. Happens, you know, in the business. Not. Not fires. You know, that's. It's a whole nother sad thing that's happening. But, you know, you get interrupted, right? So you've got to be focused on what am I after, you know, quarterly, what you're working on, and then every week you plan it out. Right? We talked a couple days ago about block time, putting blocks on your calendar for the things that need to get done. Okay? One of the big blocks that you want to create on your calendar is for quarterly objectives. Your goal should be to have your calendar, right? And wherever you're at now, however you're spending your time, more time is spent on quarterly objectives and lifestyle, and less time is spent on all the other stuff, right? That's the goal. Like, as you get more aligned with where you're going, you get your team aligned, you've got your systems, you've got your processes, you got your process of being productive, right? Your days should be filled with. You don't even need your phone on, your head is down, and you're working on stuff that's really moving the needle, right? People say, I want to open locations throughout the U.S. okay, well, you're not going to do that by, you know, being reactive all day long. I want to franchise my business. You're not going to do that by react. I want to increase profitability by 40%. Right? You see where this is going? So you've got the quarterly objectives, then you plan your week, okay? And you don't have to plan every minute of every day, but what you want to have is you want to have good time blocks to get the stuff done that really matters, right? So for me, I'll take a look at my previous calendar for the week prior, I'll take a look at the upcoming calendar, then I'll take a look at the objectives. Right? Where I'm at with those, the steps are already listed. So now I just have to kind of say, okay, this week, what could I do to move these objectives forward? Right? It's powerful. How many Mondays have you showed up and just allowed yourself to get kind of hooked in? You know, like, I imagine these, like, almost like a charging station for like a Tesla or something. Like, they hook into you and like, your business is just like dragging you around here is a problem. Here's a phone call, and it's just. You're just like hooked up like a robot going in there. Monday, Monday, what do I do? I don't know. Let me open up my. My Computer and let me look at what emails are there. Okay, I'm in. I'm busy. I'm working. We need to move the needle. We need to make big impact things happen. And it's not that hard, right? Simple. Chunk it down, plan it out weekly, go execute. All right, so let's talk about. That was planning. Let's talk about productivity. Right? Productivity. Productivity basically means, like, how to get a lot of stuff done in a short period of time. You know, there's. There's a lot of productivity hacks, there's a lot of productivity apps, There's a lot of productivity methods. Right. And the thing that I just want to, you know, preface and kind of warn about is that, you know, I'm not a believer that an app will make you productive, but I do believe that if you have a system for being productive, then an app can help facilitate that and make it easier for you. You know, the same way that having QuickBooks will not get your books on point and make you profitable. Right. You need to have a system of accounting, and then the software just helps you run it more efficiently. Right? That's all it is. So a lot of people will say, I've got this app and I've got that app, but how you use it makes all the difference in the world, right? How you start to view your days and what I'm trying to get through, because I used to do this, and I see a lot of people struggle with it. It's how you view your days and how you view your work. And when you view your work, as I go in and I respond to emails, I go in and I put out fires. I go in and people are constantly coming in and saying, hey, you got a minute? You got a minute? And, you know, we book moves, we service moves, we book moves, we service moves. That's great. Like at the beginning, right? But you're here, you're on this scaling series. You're watching this because you want to scale. So we just got to rethink the way that we think about our productivity, right? So one of the first steps is creating a process for yourself on going from an idea to done, meaning you think of something, right? I know. You guys let me know in the chat if you guys are like me, where ideas are coming up constantly, right? You're driving, you're in a shower, you're on a walk, you're trying to go to sleep, right? And just ideas are coming up. And so, you know, it's like the gift and the curse, right? Like, you get all these ideas, and it's great, but what could happen is when they start to pile up, that's where the stress comes in. That's where the overwhelm comes in. That's where the feeling of, man, I got all, if I could only get more time, if I could only get more people, that could help me execute on this, right? I've been there. I'm sure a lot of you have been there too, or are there now? So this idea of going from idea to done is saying, okay, when those ideas come up, how do I have a little workflow that will allow me to capture that idea and get it done? Realizing that if I just stop to get it done right there, I'm basically like a squirrel, like, all over the place. Oh, I got an idea. Let me work on that idea. Here's another idea. Let me work on that idea. Oh, my God. I thought of this last night. So great idea tomorrow. That's what I'm working on. It's very rare. We feel as if the idea that we came up with last night is going to change everything, and we need to go implement it immediately tomorrow. But that's going to take us off track, right? We've got. Is it part of our big what? Right? Is it. Is it a how to the big what? It's very rare that a random idea is gonna be worth throwing off your quarterly objectives and your real mission. But we do it because it feels like I'm getting stuff done. Because there's no big mission, there's no big what, why, how quarterly objectives. We're not planning weekly, and we're just going, idea, I gotta get it done. Idea, I gotta get it done. And you know the personality type that makes great entrepreneurs, great business owners. The gift also has the curse of feeling like, oh, I got to get this done now. I've got to be on top of things. I need to just handle it, handle it, handle it. And that will only get you so far. It may get you far. It got me far. But then why can't I get further? Right? It's only gonna get you so far. There's gonna be a wall. So, you know, for me, this process is idea comes up, right? I've got an app on my phone. Doesn't again, don't ask me. The app doesn't. It doesn't that. Don't worry about that. It could be a notebook. Back in the day, it was a little black book in my pocket. Okay? I literally go in, I put it in in two seconds. Put my phone away. That's it. I don't think about it again. And the whole thing with having a process to go from idea to done is having a system that you trust. So I could throw it in my phone, right, and not worry about it. I could think about it, you know, Friday night, throw it in and not touch it again or even look at it again till Sunday night. But know that it's in a safe place. Know that I will be going to look at that list, right? And then when I look at that list, what is it I'm going to do with that information? What am I going to do with those ideas? And so we want to get in the habit. Think about that list of ideas is emails to yourself. You know, we are so quick to respond to everybody else's emails as priorities when really they're someone else's priorities that are just nicely organized in your inbox, right? Think about the list of ideas as your own personal inbox. You now need to go and process that inbox. Okay? Ideally, I would say you process it on a daily basis. You know, I process that inbox, that same app on my phone syncs to my computer. And so I'm able to go through it. And so I'll process that information like, okay, here's this idea. What am I going to do with it? To have it go from idea to done, right? And so we've got to be able to establish that system. Because not every idea is worth moving forward on now. Because if we move forward on every idea now, again, remember we talked about, we're gonna be like the squirrel chasing down every little nut. So, you know, you have, you kind of put it away, right? You put in little folders. Maybe that's a marketing idea for the future. So you put, okay, marketing idea. Maybe it's a task for a project that you're currently working on, one of your quarterly objectives, okay? You put it in there, you decide when you're gonna handle it, right? So idea to done. You gotta, you gotta think through this, okay? I'm gonna lay all this stuff out. Exact processes at the seminar. But and the sake of time here, you gotta think about how do I go from idea like, no more sticky note here, sticky note there. Random piece of paper, random note, randomness. You got it. Could, you could literally, if you wanted to carry around a stack of these. I mean, it doesn't have to be fancy. You just, you have to just define the process. When I get the idea, I put the idea there. Okay, what's the next step? I need to look at that idea and process that idea and decide what to do about it. Is it something that I do now? Is it something that I put off until a later date or I put on my calendar on a later date to work on? Is it something I could delegate to somebody else? Right. Getting that process from idea to done. I'm telling you, Will, it's not even a. Like when I told you I put everything in an app, right? That just comes to my mind. It's personal stuff, business stuff, it doesn't matter. The idea is to get it out of your head. Part of the stress level that business owners have, everybody really, is that we're trying to carry around and remember all this information. Listen, you want to work on your memory for long term purposes, cool. Play some memory games or do some memory exercises. Don't do it by trying to carry around all your ideas and all the things you need to know. Get it out of your head as quick as possible and put it somewhere where you trust it's there. I know it's there and I know when I'm going to go pick it back up again to decide what to do with it. Right? This will allow the ideas to keep flowing because when you get stressed and you get overwhelmed because there's a backup of ideas in your mind, they stop coming. And now you're just now the. Instead of ideas, it's stress, worry, stress, worry, stress, worry, stress, worry. There needs to be a flow to go from idea to done. Okay? So think about what that process is for you. And so part of that is as you get these ideas, you don't want to have to think about. Is this a fantastic idea? Is this, you know, you just want, just mark it down, deal with it later. Mark it down, deal with it later, right? And so, you know, I told you today's Sunday. I put my phone away for Sundays. I wear the Apple Watch on Sunday so that, you know, if I have an idea, I could talk it in to the, to the, to the watch that's connected to that other system, right. So that I don't worry about trying to remember it and I could get back to being present with whatever I'm doing with my family or having fun or relaxing or reflecting, right? And I'm not trying to hold on to it. So as you process these ideas, as you go through these ideas again, thinking about them as your personal emails to yourself, you know, some people email themselves as part of this, right? What you want to do as you come across each one of these is you want to ask yourself this question, these three questions, can I eliminate this? Can I automate this? Or can I delegate this? And so what that means is, you know, can I eliminate this? If you think about it this week, going into this week, keep this in your mind, Maybe put a reminder in your phone, right? Or put something. When this is really good, when you're checking your emails as well as stuff comes across your plate, you've got to ask, do I just keep doing and doing and doing with my head down and not really thinking because there's no vision and I'm not mocking anybody. This, this was me, right? Do I just, you know, keep doing and doing and plugging through emails and ask yourself like, is this even necessary? This email, do I even need to reply? If not, don't reply. You don't owe. And just cause someone emails you something doesn't mean you owe them a response. I mean, it may sound harsh, but the reality is like you don't have to respond to everybody that emails you, okay? Unless it's me. Just kidding. So, you know, as you're coming across your own ideas, maybe Friday night you're out, you know, you're having a drink, you have a great idea, you put it in your little system, right? Got a fact check that, right? You go to process it and you're like, ah, yeah, no, no, eliminate that, right? Or maybe there's something in your business that just, you've been doing it for so long, right? But it just has become such a habit. Can I eliminate that? Right? So just think, does this even need to get done? Don't do things for the sake of doing things. Don't be productive for the sake of just getting more stuff done. Remember, we want impact, we want needle movers. Then can I automate this? Right? That's the great. We talked about your time and your tech the other day. Stabilizing your time and your tech and turning your tech into like productivity weapons as opposed to distraction. And there's so much that can just be automated. If we take a minute step back and say, you know what? I respond, you know, maybe customer service, we respond to the same email, the same question all the time. We just make a template for it. So we just click, click, send, right? You know, we've got to take all of our accounting, all of our revenue from our CRM and we've got to now enter it into QuickBooks. Could we just automate that, right? Those of you that are, you know, co founder of smart moving software, it integrates directly with QuickBooks, like that's a huge automation, right? Like that completely transforms the amount of labor and administrative costs that you have to like enter all that information again into QuickBooks in order to get proper accounting, right? That's automating sales emails, right? You get leads, they come in. Can you have email automation that is being sent to people automatically without you having to do it? Follow up processes, right? All of these different things. Can they be automated? Right. And then delegate. Do I need to be the person to do this? Like, yes. No, it can't be eliminated. No, it can't be automated. Somebody has to do it. Okay, does it have to be me or can I delegate it out to somebody else? It's, it's too easy to be going through emails or our personal, you know, kind of idea and task list and just do, do, do, do, do. We've got to get you leverage. We've got to get all the little, a little bit here, a little bit there, a little bit here off your plate. If you're going to scale your business, if you're going to enjoy your life, you can't be stuck in the weeds, right? We've got to be thinking big picture, big objectives, big needle moving, you know, items that are going to help get it done, clearing up space in the mind and getting out all this. I'm thinking about this idea, I'm thinking about that idea. And then all the little stuff, get rid of it. Automate or delegate it out to somebody on your team. Hire yourself a virtual assistant, right? There's you. You could pretty much delegate everything. That, that's, that's your job, right? Like when we start talking about processes and creating processes, you know, you create processes so that you can delegate. You know, some people say, well, you know, they don't see the importance of processes because they just do everything themselves. So, like, I know how to do this. Why do I need to create a process? Well, if you want to step out of that and you want to stop doing it yourself and you want to get somebody else to do it, they need to know what to do and you need to feel confident that that person's doing what they're supposed to do and that if that person's not working out, that you could bring in somebody else to replace them and easily train them on how to do it. That's how you create consistency in your business. And almost everything can be delegated out except the stuff that really makes a big impact, the strategic thinking or things that you really enjoy to do. All right, so think, eliminate, Automate or Delegate. All right, last one here for you guys. So you're like, louis, this is great, but I need to, you know, I don't have any space to get this done. Like, I go to the office, people interrupted me. I'm at home. You know, I know a lot of you right now. I give a lot of you a lot of props because you've got kids at home right now that are in school and, you know, trying to manage your business, your life and be teachers. I mean, I see, you know, friends and clients doing that. And it's tough. Like, I'm grateful my daughter's, you know, 14 months and not in school right now. And, you know, so times are. Times are a little more challenging, right, to create this. But that's why when we talked about your time, stabilizing your time and your tech, I said you've got to fight to protect your space. You've got to stand guard in your focus fortress, like a warrior keeping people out of your kingdom, right? It's important. It's important that you have this space that you create yourself. A focus fortress. Maybe you can't get this focus fortress for the whole day, okay? But I bet you if you thought about it and you were more strategic about what you want, what it's going to take to get there, and you had a plan, I bet you could carve out an hour a day to be in your focus fortress, which may be, you know, maybe you don't have a home office, okay? Maybe you have a home office and kids are barging in every minute. Could you go sit in your car? Right? Could you go. You know, I don't know if you're going out anywhere. Let's just say you're not going. Let's just say restaurants are still closed. There's no coffee shop to go sit at. There's no, you know, extra office to go sit at. I realize that we're in different times right now, but you've got to create that time, that focus fortress to where you can work on those real important things. Listen, you could respond, respond and play ping pong with emails with people and put out fires on phone calls at the same time, while you're juggling kids in life might not feel the greatest, but you don't need that Fortress of Solitude to do that. But you do need this to work on the big needle movers that are going to take you to that next level and allow you to scale your business, scale your life, Create wealth, create freedom, right in this time. Remember we talked about, you want to have as many quarterly objective time blocks a few days ago. If you missed it, go watch stabilizing your time and your tech in this series. But you want to have as many time blocks on your calendar as possible to be working on quarterly objectives. And you also then want to be able to expand your free time right, in that week. But it starts with getting a focus fortress, right? Get yourself an hour. Get yourself an hour. Try to get yourself two hours. If you could spend three to four hours a day, ideally won't happen right away. You're not going to go from, like, not having any block time for objectives to, I got four hours. You're going to have to fight for it. You're going to have to work to get there. But if you've got three to four hours a day where you could work on, like, impactful stuff for your business, you're on your. You're on your way, right? You're on your way. Like, you've kind of cut the restraints and everything that's been, like, holding you back and you're off. You know, you could focus in the morning, manage your business in the afternoon, check in with your people, see what's going on, or vice versa, right? It's a whole nother thing of day stacking and figuring out what part of what day works well for you. This is. I mean, this is stuff right here that I've watched clients that had great businesses, They've been in the business a long time, they know what they're doing, but this was a major, major block for them. The planning, the productivity, the focus on where they're going and what's happening. And, I mean, the success stories of people that are able to take this and implement this and get to that next level in their life are endless. Endless. So take some time today, okay? Again, I do it. I do it at the end of. At the end of the day on Sundays. And I just. I plan the upcoming week, right? Just take a look. Just. Just start. You don't have to do it perfectly. It could be ugly. If you just, like, pull up your calendar and be like, okay, and make a list. Like, what. What are the stuff. What's the stuff that I need to be working on and figuring out what it's going to be. It'll change everything for you. All right, guys, plan your systematize, your planning, your productivity. Let's head into this week strong. Tomorrow. This whole week. We're going to. We're. We're now into systematizing, right? We touched on stabilizing we're now in the systematizing. We're gonna get into sales, marketing, how to generate more leads, how to book more moves, how to make that consistent throughout the entire year, how to get your operation running smoothly so you have happier customers, movers that are there, that are trained, that are qualified, that are doing a good job.
