Only 1 workout per week, here’s why:

Lucas Hedenbäck maintained his body composition training just once a week: two sets of dips, two sets of pull-ups. He treats stress as one shared budget across training, life, and health. When his puppy arrived, he cut workouts to protect sleep and recovery instead.

For the last six months, I've literally trained one time per week. Two sets of dips, two sets of pull-ups. That's all I've been doing. That's literally my whole, my entire week of training, and I'm still able to keep this body composition and look like this whilst whilst doing this. And I'm gonna explain exactly how and why in this video. And also, like, I'm I didn't do this, or I didn't stop training more because I'm ignorant or or whatever, right? I have a purpose for, or there's a reason for it. I got a puppy this year, so. 6 months ago I got a puppy, and obviously that takes a lot of time. It's a big stressor. And because your body doesn't separate, like training, deadlifts, deadlines, and a puppy waking you up at 5 AM, it all hits the same system and it all eats on the same budget, which is your stress budget. So this is where a lot of people get it wrong. They think like, oh, you always need to be disciplined. But the thing is like, your life changes every day. Your budget changes every day. How much you're gonna allocate towards one category will also change every day. So you shouldn't execute based on a script when it comes to training and all these things. You should always execute based on your stress budget in mind. If you have one day where it's a lot more to do work-wise, mental-wise, then obviously that's not the day where you should absolutely push super, super hard in the gym and go absolutely bananas on the physical activities on top of that as well. No, that's absolutely stupid because what that is gonna do is it's gonna mean that you're spending a lot more than you have. So this is the sole reason why, right? I've been taking the stress budget that I was allocating towards gym and putting it towards raising a good puppy because that's the priority for me right now because there's also seasons for everything in life, right? My season in the gym right now is just to maintain what I have and I'm able to do that by focusing on the most leveraged things which are gut health, sleep, and stress management. If I were trying to fit in 6 workouts like I used to do back in the days right now, I would be absolutely fried. I would, I would look shit. I would look inflamed, bloated. But I'm able to hold a very good, good body composition, look lean, feel amazing, be energized because I'm allocating or because I'm strategic with my stress budget. And this is literally the key. And when you understand this and when you understand that sleep, stress, and Gut health are your most leveraged things. You will be surprised how much results you can get out of your whole life by by not just being obsessed about the training and nutrition part because it's literally a fraction of the equation, right? That is not where the results are created. It's in the recovery that that happens, and that is sleep, stress, gut. So change your mind and thank me later.
