Machi, help! I'm signing clients and they're joining my coaching program and they're quitting in the first 4 weeks and I don't know why. Well, maybe it's because you're a bad coach. Okay, so step number 1 is you need to fix your onboarding process. When somebody joins your coaching program, what are the first 3 things that happen? First thing, get them to sign the client agreement so they're locked in and committed. Second thing, send them a detailed questionnaire and tell them to get it back to you within 24 hours. Once they return it, tell them you'll have their custom program ready within a week. And third thing, book an onboarding call with that client. Once their program is ready, this is where you're gonna walk them through everything step by step and set clear expectations about what you need from them as a client. The truth is that the first 4 weeks of your client experience are make or break. Within those first 4 weeks, if the client isn't checking in regularly or following the program, you need to get on the phone and get them back on track immediately. Because if they're not taking action in month 1, they're definitely gonna quit before month 2. And if you want my exact onboarding email and questionnaire templates, comment "client" and I'll send it to you.
