I'm Jim Foster, producer and director with Make Our Music, and today we're going to talk about Shallowside's Filters.
We have our homie from Nonpoint in the video, Elias.
That was killer for a couple reasons. Shallowside's my boys. We've been working together for a decade, and it was great to see them actually get this killer song with Elias out because it popped pretty good for them. It was a great concept, a lot of their concept, but I put together a lot of the weird visuals and the trippy looks and all that. One of my partners on set saw a ghost, and then Another one saw a ghost. This place was haunted. I just got my ass whooped. Little side note, the building ended up burning down like a week later, pretty soon after. But this video was cool. Song is awesome. You know, they kind of just let me go for it. Meeting Elias the first time was super cool because I had seen him on like the Shiprock Cruise, and I thought, it's kind of weird that I never worked with this guy. We never met. I'm working on a documentary with them stemming from this, so, you know. Get out there and work. We had Jen Crew on set, and she's always with us anytime we're doing anything great. Edgar! I had my partners Mark Roberge producing, helping out with logistics, Johnny Roberge getting things set up for us, but he also was the diabolical doctor. We had our longtime makeup artist and actress Amanda on set as the nurse, this trippy kind of nurse. Aside from that, we just let the band go at it and get down, and the performance parts were just insane because the band was performing with Elias like they were a band. You know, they, they were, they were tight. It was super tight. They brought it. It was dope. And the song went on to do pretty good things for them. So, you know, hopefully the video helped out in that. But what a video and an incredible team. A lot of— we had some fans helping out too. It was just an incredible team. Everybody was just down with the teamwork. And when you're on set and everybody's kind of vibing, you can't fail. It just, it always works out.
And a great shoot. That's great vibe, great fruit.
So there you go. Shallow Sides, Filters, featuring Elias Soriano of Nonpoint. Got to check it out if you haven't seen it. Make our music.
