Welcome to this week's In Rotation. I'm Jim Foster. I've spent my entire career in the studio as a producer, engineer, and/or filming content for amazing artists for a long time. This week we're going to check out a band called Who on Earth, and the song is called Good Man Down. Let's go! My first impression is This mix jumps out of the speakers. This is good metal and this is kind of right up my alley. So my first impression is, yeah, mix slams. There's not much I can say that's negative about the mix. So one thing I'm noticing and I got to give mad props, it looks like the singer's an older cat. Also looks like he's a bad motherfucker. He's like just ripping, absolutely ripping. I don't know what level of production they did on tuning and stuff, but the way his voice sounds to me is probably was like, fuck Auto-Tune. I'm That's my opinion. That's what he sounds like. I know dudes that sound like that, and they're always like that. Get rid of that auto tune. Get rid of it. Part of first impressions would be the intro of the song just comes in kicking. I know what kind of song it's going to be immediately. I actually like that. I like that I know what kind of song it's going to be, and it's just like good heavy metal. But it's not, it's not absurd. It's not, it's not that shit. Now I just want to check out their branding. Let's see what's up. So they look like older cats that, you know, to be honest, don't give a fuck. Let this be a lesson to other bands out there. They still pull it together. So if that's the case, no younger bands have any excuse. Anybody can do it. You just gotta do it. All right, deep dive is done. These guys crush. They crush. I think this band's worth looking into, uh, if you're into metal. Yeah, definitely check it. 20,000-ish Instagram followers, 27,000-ish Facebook followers. Dope music. Everybody in the band is super confident. The mix is great. So the verdict is this definitely, most definitely is getting in the new Rockin' Rotation playlist because it kills. It's absolutely killer. Yeah. So if you want to get your stuff in the new Rockin' Rotation playlist, follow Make Our Music on Instagram and DM us the link to the song, not your artist page, the song you want us to critique, review, praise, uh, whatever. And again, you know, I can't say this enough, it's just a— it's just an opinion. Don't listen to me even if I tell you you're awesome. Who cares, honestly? Whatever.
