Mark Roberge says don't send people straight to Spotify. Capture their contact info first so you own the relationship. Every marketing dollar should go to acquiring fans, not just driving streams on platforms you don't control.
It was— so there's a lot of strategies that try to point to drive streams over at Spotify and drive views on YouTube, but ultimately you want to capture that fan first, then get them there. And if you're driving them there, they're gone. And so that's my thing is every dollar needs to go into actual fan acquisition. That way you own that information. You can pick up the phone and call them, right?
