In this video, we're going to walk through how to submit reimbursements in Emma, the Education Market Assistance system used by Step Up for Students. Our goal is to make this process clear, simple, and stress-free so you can confidently submit reimbursement requests for your student. Once you are signed into your Emma account, look at the left-hand menu on your dashboard. Click on Reimbursements to get started. On the Reimbursements page, select New to begin a reimbursement request. From the dropdown menu, select the student for whom you are requesting reimbursement. After selecting the student, click Continue to Receipt/Invoice Upload. Next, upload the receipt or invoice for the item you purchased. You can either drag and drop the file or browse your device to upload it. Please keep these important notes in mind. Submit one reimbursement per receipt or invoice. Files must be uploaded as PNG, JPG, JPEG, or PDF. You will see a preview of your uploaded receipt or invoice. Take a moment to ensure it is clear and easy to read. If the document is unclear, you will be asked to upload a better copy. When everything looks good, click Continue. Now you'll choose which items on the receipt you want reimbursed. You can select individual items or click Select All if you're requesting reimbursement for everything on the receipt. Once selected, click Continue to Item Service Details. Complete the required information for each item listed. If your receipt includes more than one item, select Add Item and enter the details for each one. When finished, click Continue to Additional Documents. If required, you may upload additional documents such as proof of payment if it does not appear on the receipt, or provider credentials if the provider is not already listed in EMA. If you don't need to upload anything additional, click Continue to Summary. Carefully review all the details of your reimbursement request. If everything is correct, click Submit for approval. Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation message and a reimbursement number for your records. From here, you can choose to request another reimbursement or check the status of an existing reimbursement. Thank you for watching. If you need additional help, support is available Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time.
