This content is a verbatim transcription of the live performance of the song “The Fear” by the musical act Amistat, recorded during the Saint Stephen’s Day Celebrations 2021 in Budapest. The piece is delivered in a call‑and‑response format between two vocalists (Speaker A and Speaker B) and consists of repetitive, poetic verses that dwell on themes of anxiety, mortality, loss, and the pervasive presence of fear in everyday life. The lyrics repeatedly ask the listener to express feelings, reference a “Mama” figure, and use imagery such as “black gold,” “luster of your bones,” and “dark shadow on the hill” to convey a sense of looming uncertainty. The performance invites the audience to dance despite the heavy emotional content, juxtaposing movement with introspection. The overall tone is melancholic yet urgent, reflecting a personal and collective grappling with fear and the desire to find agency within it.

Don't leave me. Look after yourselves. This one's called The Fear. If you want to dance, this is your chance to dance. Move your hips, ladies and gentlemen. Mama called her, did she?
Tell me how you feel. Just stop playing this game. The gases spoken to the wheel. Hey, my black gold, I did shout. Tell me where it's all going. Oh, the luster of your bones, those arms that held you strong. I've been worried that my time is a little unclear. I've been worried. That I'm losing the ones I hold dear. I've been worried. And we all live our lives in the confines of fear. Mama called her dead shot. Tell me how you feel. Just a rain in the morning, a dark shadow on the hill. Mama called her dead shot. Tell me where it all falls. Tell me where it all falls. Oh, this apathy you feel, blind fool of a soul. I've been worrying that my time is a little unclear. I've been worrying that I'm losing the ones I hold dear. I've been worrying that we all live our lives in the confines of fear. Will become what I deserve. I've been worrying, I've been worrying my time isn't enough here. I've been worrying, I've been worrying that I'm losing the ones I hold dear. I've been worrying, I've been worrying that we all live our lives so in a confined sphere.
