The video is a collaborative birthday tribute to Steve "Woz" Wozniak on his 70th birthday. It weaves together heartfelt speeches, personal anecdotes, and artistic performances from family, friends, celebrities, and youth participants. Central to the celebration is the promotion of the Jewel's Inspiring Children Foundation, with calls for donations instead of gifts. Speakers highlight Woz’s personal philosophy – his "happiness algorithm" (happiness = smiles minus frowns) – his disciplined, optimistic outlook, and his lifelong commitment to helping others. Numerous testimonials recount his engineering brilliance (Apple I/II, personal computer pioneer), his humility, generosity, and playful spirit. The tribute includes musical performances, magic acts, visual art, and messages from global figures such as Andy Grammer, Andrea Bocelli, Richard Branson, George Takei, Jay Leno, and many others, all expressing gratitude for his impact on technology, education, and humanity. The video culminates with a call to donate to the foundation, showcasing auction items and pledges, while celebrating Woz’s influence on countless lives.

We carry many such words as this from many lands, many worlds. These words and the words that follow were not written only for the Yangs, but for the Koms as well. Koms? They must apply to everyone or they mean nothing. Do you understand? Happy birthday, Woz! 70 years ago today you were born, and boy am I glad. You bring so much joy and meaning to my life. You make me laugh and smile every single day, and I look forward to every day with you. I know you don't like to celebrate your birthdays, but I also know how much you like helping other people. So for your 70th birthday, a lot of your friends have come together to honor you and to raise awareness and funds for Jewel's Inspiring Children Foundation. And to avoid me crying the whole night, our good friend Jewel has agreed to host this celebration. Hello, Waz, and welcome to your 70th birthday celebration. Your wife Janet, your amazing wife Janet, uh, contacted us a little while ago, maybe a month ago, and wanted the youth in our foundation to help plan a special Way to celebrate you for your 70th. I know you're not normally a big birthday guy, but Janet knew exactly the things that she thought you would like, which came to no— as no surprise to me because the things you like are helping other people. And so as part of this birthday celebration, in classic form for both of you, it's giving back. It's giving back to our youth foundation. It's helping raise money to transform and save the lives of children. And it's just such an honor to be able to be part of this because I feel really lucky that I get to know what a special human being you are. And I got to know you in a way, you know, a lot of people didn't perhaps. I wasn't as aware of who you were when we met. I knew that you loved music and I knew you were enthusiastic and had a childlike awe and wonder And getting to know you that way was incredible. My son got to know you this way. He still calls you the magician. I think what really impresses me about you is how you've chosen to live your life is like an algorithm. You've— you have your happiness algorithm: happiness equals smiles minus frowns. But very few people come up with an algorithm like that. And even fewer still stick to it, where they really choose to live by that. Do the things that make you smile, and you have to very consciously stay away from the things that make you upset, like disagreements. You can say, well, we just disagree. You don't have to get all bothered by it. If somebody hits your car, I remember you saying, well, somebody hit my car. It is what it is. Getting upset won't help. It's an incredible discipline, and for somebody who sees a world in gray tone, your ability to be so black and white about once you decide what your values are, living them, is incredible. It's, it's inspirational. Your humility, how you've gone about just constantly giving back and wanting to follow creativity and joy over profit and credit is something that we try to teach our kids in our youth foundation, and to have you as a role model is just Incredible. So I wanted to get together a bunch of people. There's all walks of life here today. There's actors, musicians, comedians, people that I just love and admire that I also know love and admire you. And so I want you to just sit back and relax and enjoy your 70th birthday party. Where happiness equals smiles minus frowns. Laughter is the most beautiful sound. What's the point if it isn't fun? Get nothing done without passion. Oh, that's the Wasp. He likes math tricks and gadgets and Raspberry Pi projects. He made a camera that detects hummingbirds. 3 kids and 7 grandkids. Oh, he loves taking road trips. He'd give you the shirt off his back, you just say the word. Ooh, well, he's got everything he could ever want, including honorary doctoral degree. So on his birthday, don't email. No gifts, please, as well. Please donate to his favorite charity. 'Cause happiness equals smiles minus frowns. Laughter is the most beautiful sound. What's the point if it isn't fun? Get nothing done without passion. Oh, that's the one. He invented the personal computer, pouring his heart into subroutines. Remember when he was on? Dancing with the Stars and on Big Bang Theory. And on Celebrity Watch Party, you can clearly see Woz's tender heart is on display. And he's proud of being a geek, and he feels so lucky 'cause Janet loves him every minute of every day. Ooh, never broken. He loves inspiring children to be the kindest, most passionate they can be. Ho ho ho! He's always got time for fans, so if you can lend a hand, please donate to his favorite charity. Because happiness equals smiles minus frowns, and laughter is the most beautiful sound What's the point if it isn't fun? You get nothing done without passion. Oh, that's the was. That's the was. Oh, oh, that's the was. That's the was. Oh, oh, that's the was. That's the was. When you guys think of— how do you guys think of each other? How do you describe your relationship? Janet, how do you describe Woz? 100% fun all the time. Wakes up happy every single day. Tells me jokes all the time. Takes me on the greatest road trips. Takes me to the best concerts. Takes me to the best magic shows. I mean, we just have fun all the time. I mean, he's the funnest person in the world as far as I'm concerned. And he's also the smartest person in the world that I know too. He literally is nice to every single person he meets. He— every single person. I've never met anybody that doesn't like him. And he's fun 100% of the time. He's always in a good mood. He's always happy, and he tries to make everybody else happy. He loves his dogs. He loves music. He loves magic. He loves— Our road trips together. Oh my gosh, yeah. We're on the road, we're listening to books. We take these road trips. We've been taking them during quarantine just for like a little drive for a couple hours or something. And we just talk the whole time. We listen to our favorite music. We sit and go through what concerts we've been to and what our favorite songs were at that concert. And we just, we like the same things. We like the same music. We like, we just, we have fun. And we just, I don't know. He's just like the best partner you could ever have in your life because he just makes your life 1,000% better than it ever could have been. You could ever even think it could be. Happy birthday, Steve! Happy birthday, Steve! Hey Steve, Elena here. Happy birthday. I just wanted to talk a little bit about you. And how you are the most incredible teacher in the entire world. I don't know if many people know this, but when I was in about 3rd grade, I was in school with Jesse, and I was struggling in school, and you decided to take the computer and tutor me, and you thought that maybe that would help me do better in school. And I think it's appropriate on your birthday to talk about gifts. And I think that to most people, the gift that you gave me in that situation, they would think is the computer. But really what you, what you gave, the gift was through teaching me the computer, through the eyes of the computer, you taught curiosity and the gift was imagination. and free thinking. You didn't just hand a computer over, you also gave that computer with a screwdriver. You taught us how to open it up and take it apart and put it back together. Through learning that, you know, the computer helped me, you then decided, I'm gonna help all of these other kids. And you started with this crew of mountain kids in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and you You taught us the computer, and it changed our lives because of all those other gifts that went along with it. You taught us how to do practical jokes and be mischievous and take everything and turn it upside down and see how it looked that way. And now that I'm older and I have kids of my own and they have teachers, that's what teachers should do. You are You are a teacher, and the next thing I knew, I was teaching kids how to use the computer. I went to college, and how did I earn money in college? At three in the morning, my phone would ring, and I became the computer expert and the printer expert. And most of the time, it was, "Oh, you're having trouble writing your paper or printing your paper? Why don't you restart your computer?" And that's how I fixed most people's problems. But You know, I charged him for it. You know, it was just—it's just really incredible. And I just really want to thank you and tell you that the lessons you taught and the gifts you gave, I'm giving to my children, and they will give to their children. And I think. Curiosity is the word that sticks out to me. And thank you. It was— it's been an incredible journey, and I just love you so much. And happy birthday. Thank you for being here to honor Woz. The guest I'm about to introduce really exemplifies resilience, starting at just 5 months old to when he eventually went blind at the age of 12. You can really hear his emotions in his voice—one of the most beautiful voices we've been blessed with in the history of voices, Andrea Bocelli. Da uno dei luoghi più suggestivi che il mio paese offre, dove mi trovo in questo momento, il nostro pensiero corre a lei, Steve. Con l'augurio che lei trascorra un fantastico compleanno. Tanti cari auguri. Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, dear Steve. Happy birthday to you. Hey, Woz. I'm excited to be part of your surprise birthday party and the events that surround it. I've already made a few donations, but you know the respect that I have for you and my heart For children, and the fact that all funds from this celebration will go to the Jules Inspiring Children Foundation, I would like to pledge a matching $50,000 donation. That means for every person that gives a dollar, I'll match it. $10, I'll match it, up to $50,000. So happy birthday, and Let's let's help the kids. I've been really blessed to meet incredible people in my life with such soul and such heart, and I really think this next guest exemplifies that. I got to meet him last year, but immediately felt like we were old soul brothers and sisters. Everything he does is to try and benefit and uplift and inspire humanity. Please enjoy performance from Andy Grammer. Was what up, man? Andy Grammer here. I was making the video and my daughter showed up. This is Louisiana. And we are going to sing you a song. Happy birthday! Happy 70th birthday! My God, you have done so much for the world. We appreciate you. This is a song called "Keep Your Head Up." You know your part? Okay. Whoa! Hey hey hey! Whoa! No no! I've been waiting on the sunset. Bills on my mind. I can't deny it. High, high at my ankle, ankles break wrong. I've been trying to survive. The glow that the sun gives right around sunset helps me realize this is just a journey. Drop your worries, you are gonna turn out fine. Oh, you turn out fine. She's out of it. I said fine. Oh, oh, you turn out fine. But you gotta keep your head up. Oh, oh, you can let your head down. Yeah, you gotta keep your head up. Oh, oh, you can let your head down. Hey, hey, I was sorry. Know it's hard to remember sometimes, but you gotta keep your head up. Oh, oh, you can let your head down. Yeah, got my hands in my pockets picking these rocks. It's kind of hard to But you gotta keep your head up. Oh, you can let your head down. Yeah, you gotta keep your head up. Oh, you can let your head down. Yeah, I was sorry. Though it's hard to remember sometimes, you gotta keep your head up. Oh, you can let your head down. Yeah, yeah, yeah, not only rainbows after rain, the sun will always Come again, and it's a circle, circle. Again, it comes around again. Is there only rainbows after rain? The sun will always come again, and it's a circle, circle. Again, it comes around, but you gotta keep your head up. Oh, oh, you can let your head down. Hey, hey, gotta keep your head up. Oh, oh, you can let your head down. Yeah, I don't Happy birthday! We love you! Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Dad Grandpa, happy birthday to you. Yay, happy birthday, Dad, Grandpa! Summer, blow a kiss. Can you say one kiss? Good! Hey, Waz, happy 70th birthday, mate. Hope you have a great day with your friends and family, and, uh, I'm just gonna sing a little song to show my appreciation for all your great work. So here we go. I'm stuck. Later, running down to the riptide, taking a wet to the dark side. I wanna be your left-hand man. I love you when you're singing that song, and I got a lump in my throat 'cause you're gonna sing the words wrong. It's just gonna be that I think you're like... This guy decides to quit his job and head to New York City. This cowboy is running from himself. She's been living on the highest shelf. Oh, oh, oh. They come unstuck later, running down to the riptide, taken away to the dark side on a I love you when you're singing that song, and I got a lump in my throat 'cause you're gonna sing the words wrong. I just wanna, I just wanna know if you're gonna, if you're gonna stay. I just gotta, I just gotta know. I can't have it, I can't have it any other way. I swear she's destined for the screen. Closest thing to Michelle Pfeiffer that you've ever seen. Later, running down to the riptide, taking a wet to the dark side on a As Woz was building the Apple I and Apple II computer by himself, by the way, which boggles me that one man could have invented this in his mind, been able to build the hardware and the software— just incredible engineering creativity and feats— he would watch a TV show, and it was Star Trek. So please enjoy this message from one of Woz's favorite actors, and live long and prosper. Woz, happy birthday. I hope everybody's all crowded around, nobody wearing masks, passing food to each other, feeding each other on your birthday, man. Or you're all alone with a mask. Hello, my name is Wozniak. Does anybody— nobody recognizes you, Woz. What a time to have a birthday. And with your wisdom and your intelligence, You're spreading information of what to buy and where to buy it. I know nothing. You haven't told me a thing. Now listen, I'm making this birthday greeting and saying happy birthday and many more years. You owe me. You owe me some financial advice. Tell me the stock that I should buy, and if it goes up, there'll be a little in it for you. Not much, but a little. Mostly you'll be able to say, I told this guy what to buy, he bought it, the stupid fool, and it went up. Happy birthday. It's a pleasure to talk to you. I look forward to our next dinner, which this time you pay for. Happy birthday. What is this, Mr. Sulu? Mr. Spock has orders to kill you, Captain. He will succeed. Apparently, you will also appear to have killed him after a fierce battle. Hey Steve, this is George Takei beaming down to wish you the happiest birthday in the galaxy. May you live long and prosper. Could we just continue with the evaluation? Will, remember who you're talking to. You are bothered, I can tell. Deanna, I'm sorry I intruded. When you're ready to work, why don't you give me a call? I will. Hello, Steve, it's Marina Sirtis. Hello. Well, our friend Gary Hassan informs me that your birthday is on August 1st. So a very happy birthday, you Leo person, you. Uh, just a heads up, we would get on great because I'm an Aries and that's a fire sign too, so we, we'd get on gangbusters. Anyway, my love, um, Gary, like all good friends, does not mention how old you are, and I'm not going to Google you to find out. That's just rude. And I hope he does the same for me. Actually, and that you don't Google me to find out how old I am. You'll faint. Anyway, a very happy birthday, Steve, and I do hope we get to meet in person one day. Okay, my love, enough about me. A very happy birthday and live long and prosper. Bye! Hey, Woz. Hey, happy birthday. Big 7-0. I beat you by a few months. Hey, It's great. We're an elite group. So listen, I wanted to tell you a little story. When we first met you, Leonard and I, Leonard Nimoy and I, flew up to meet you, and he was very, very impressed when you came out with your Spock ears. He got such a tickle out of that. And as you know, he spent, I think, a couple of hours just chit-chatting with you. And he was very impressed with you. And he always talked about that get-together with fondness. And I just wanted to let you know that he really appreciated spending time with you. And he loved those $2 bills that I think you sold him $6 worth of $2 bills for $4 or something. He said, boy, this is a generous man. Anyway, have a great, great birthday. Thank you. What a great job Janet has done. What a wife. Hey, Woz. Redfoo here. Oh my God, I would like to thank you for changing the world. You know, pioneering, founding the Apple, you know, what you did with the remote. Just, you're an incredible individual. When I was younger, you inspired me to get a computer, and I got an Apple, and I learned everything about the Apple, and I started teaching classes for a few extra bucks on the side. As a youngster, giving tutorials on the Apple to my community. Then I started selling banners to corporations, you know, veterinarians. They had a lot of animal stuff, and I made a lot of pet banners. And then I decided to become an unauthorized Apple reseller. Yes, all at 11 years old. And it was incredible. Business was booming. I even made Uh, an official commercial. An unofficial commercial. And this is what it all comes out to. My creation. A sign. Apple. Computer. The best computer a boy can have. I made a lot of dough as a young buck with that Apple. Ah, amazing. And now, obviously, with the LMFAO, all the production, all the Creativity was done on an Apple. So thanks to you, because you invented it. And actually, now I got something new or renew. Since collectibles are in, I restarted my unauthorized Apple business again, and I'm starting with this bad boy right here. And oh, actually, I got a customer coming in right now. Check this. Yeah, hi, I was interested in that old Apple computer. Oh yeah, old is one way to put it, but I like to say vintage. True. Classic. Oh, this baby's amazing. The startup sound is lovely to the ears, smooth screen, and it's also $500. Yeah, okay, well, uh, does it turn on? Does it turn on? Watch this. Oh, love that sound. Let's warm it up. Uh, grab my— Boom! Pay me! Well, we got the question mark here. Do you have the startup disk? The question mark! Woz, happy birthday! Love you, man. Um, can you send me the OS on a 3.5 floppy? I desperately need it. Hey! Can I interest you in a vintage remote? I don't— Wazzz! Octavia Spencer here. I am a huge fan, even though we've never met each other. I'm a fan of your work, and I was told it was your 70th birthday, and I would be remiss if I didn't send you Special birthday wish. You changed the world all those years ago when you invented the computer. Changed my life and and how I think we would be navigating this pandemic, how we interact with each other, with our families. So I hope that this day. You are surrounded by family, are enjoying a lot of laughter, a lot of love, and the best years are ahead. Happy birthday. God bless you. Hey Steve, it's Emmylou coming to you from Music City, USA, Nashville, Tennessee, and I'm just wanting to say I hope that this decade coming up for you is one of the best and happiest of your life. Happy birthday, Steve. Our next guest is somebody who Woz personally really admires, not only for his entrepreneurial skills and being such a visionary and a maverick, but also because the way he treats others. What he's known for really is that— his values. I first met Richard Branson gosh, many, many years ago, he asked me to go to the North Pole with him— or no, the Arctic. And we went up on dog sleds and had an amazing time filming to help raise awareness around global warming. And that's just exactly what Richard is, an adventurer for good, wanting to educate and excite people about the most important issues of our day. He also supports our youth foundation by hosting the Necker Tennis Cup. To learn more about our foundation, please go to wazbday.com and donate if you can. Hi Steve, happy birthday and have a wonderful, wonderful day. And obviously congratulations on everything you've achieved over the last 70 years. I know the feeling, I was— I joined you last week. Anyway, cheers, good luck. Side feeds to Harrison, right hand. Oh, sent away! Congratulations, 1999-2000 NBA MVP Shaquille O'Neal. Was probably saying, why is Shaq sending me a video? Because I know you invented this. This is the savior. You can see I'm sitting on my couch chilling, watching this right here. But I know who you are, Woz. I know everything. It was a time when there was no remotes. It was a time where I couldn't even watch TV. It was a time remotes were not universal. You did that. I love you. But now I'm gonna change this into a microphone. Happy birthday, Woz Woz. Happy birthday, Woz Woz. Happy birthday, W-O-Z. Happy birthday, Woz, Woz. Love you, Woz. Hi, Woz. Hope you're doing well and staying safe. Thank you for everything you do to help America's children reach their full potential through the Inspiring Children Foundation. I simply want to take this time to join Janet, your loved ones, and friends in wishing you a very happy 70th birthday, and here's to many, many more to come. Hi, my name is Andy Hertzfeld. Woz has been my hero, role model, and friend for over 40 years now, and it's a privilege to be able to laud him like this on the occasion of his 70th birthday. It's not very often that you get to meet your heroes, let alone work alongside them. Woz was my hero before I ever met him by virtue of his work on the Apple II. His endless ingenuity set the bar of greatness that I aspired to. I never could have done what I did at Apple without the example and standards that he set. I first met Woz through his work when I purchased an early Apple II in January 1978. I was immediately blown away by its extraordinary design, which was overflowing with crazy audacious tricks everywhere. But when I met him in person at a user group meeting a few months later, he by far exceeded my high expectations. I was already aware of his design genius and engineering brilliance, But I didn't expect his remarkable sense of humor, his kindness, honesty, generosity, and integrity, and his impeccable ethics and values. He was a perfect role model for everything I aspired to become. For me, the most inspirational aspect of Woz was his soulful approach to his work. I really shouldn't even call it work because he approached it so playfully. He was never motivated by making money or wielding power. In fact, he refused to start Apple unless he could always remain an ordinary engineer. He established the basic formula for Apple's success, which was to create products that you wanted for yourself more than anything else in the world. His work was always a labor of love, full of passion and straight from the heart, fulfilling his lifelong ambition to own his own computer. He blurred the distinction between work and play, always prioritizing fun over any deadline or business goal. The passion and enthusiasm that he poured into his designs was reflected back in the products he created. His example showed me that if you put enough of yourself into them, products can have a soul. The unique spirit of the Apple II inspired the Macintosh team, and we tried to instill a similar spirit into the Mac. I sometimes say that the Mac team ported the spirit of the Apple II to the 68000 microprocessor. Apple built the Apple II, but in a way, the Apple II also built Apple. Woz's amazing work shone like a beacon, drawing other brilliant engineers and designers to Apple to develop the subsequent generations of products. To this day, his playful personality, spirit, and values are one of the cornerstones of Apple's transcendent success. And there's much more to Woz than his engineering brilliance. He is generous to a fault, always helping worthy individuals and causes, even giving away millions of dollars worth of his own Apple stock to early employees who deserved more than they received. Among other things, he is likely the best Tetris player this world has ever seen, And he is probably one of the world's most creative and prolific pranksters as well. But it would take hours to describe even a fraction of his best pranks, so I'll stop here. Happy birthday, Woz! You're the greatest! Hey, Woz. I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to say happy birthday and play you a tune and, um, tell you that, uh, I'm really, really happy that you and me and Janet have become friends. And I hope to see you soon, buddy. Have a great day. Here's a here's my song called "Here Right Now." I've seen much more than most, much less than some. Took a while to give up the ghost. Thought. But it never come. There were times blood on my hands and I tried to wash away. Outside the lines I couldn't stand without a soft voice to say that I'm here right now. Not lost, but found. And everything I have done has brought me to you. I got a scar. I don't try to hide it. It's forever mine. Got a heart so. It took me so long to find it, can't remember why. You'll never know what you can be till you come to realize. In the rearview, all that has hurt you, it's just a passerby. 'Cause you're here. I'm here. Right now, not lost but found. And everything I have done has brought me to you. And I hold my head high. You can see it in my eyes. I won't turn Away. If the darkness comes, I'll stay. I'll stay 'cause I'm here right now. Not lost but found. And everything I have done has brought me to you. I'm here right now, not lost, but I'm found. And everything I have done has brought me to you. Yeah, everything I've done has brought Happy birthday, buddy. Hi, Steve. You have no idea who I am, but I know who you are, and I really am thankful that I get a chance to send a little birthday wish and also a little film, a little animation that I've done. My entry into Your world happened around the beginning, the middle of the '80s, working with Alan Kay, doing illustrations for him as he was trying to describe what a laptop would look like, what the internet could be like. And your world is the most fascinating, amazing, creative thing that I, I ever could have imagined then, and continue to be amazed at what you and your wonderful world have created for all of us. But it really has a message about the beauty of love. And somebody who loves you, I know, is Janet. We all appreciate what you've done for us. Wishing you a very happy birthday. I hope you enjoy Duet. You know, you know what I love about that video? Like when the girl is dancing around, to me that's me working at Apple because I loved my work there and I. I worked in that field of education, and it was like my life's passion. And then when they're sitting up in a tree and they make eye contact and they fall in love, to me, that's when Woz did a little magic trick for me. And when he did this magic trick for me, I just instantly fell in love with him because I just thought, oh my gosh, this guy is just a wonderful human being. What would you like to What would you like people to know about how to make a successful relationship? Well, be similar. Don't look at yin and yang. Oh, she makes up for what I don't. Have similar values in life and similar interpretations of books and movies, and you can talk about them and agree a lot and not, you know, get into fights. Find someone with similar personalities. You know, Janet was very pro-geekiness, pro-technology, pro-Apple, and She'd been a teacher, and I, my whole life, wanted to be a teacher, and I did a teaching stint. So those similarities make it easy. But the thing is, everything that comes up, don't be afraid. You can talk to each other about it and make your decisions. So making decisions together and sort of like as one company. Everywhere we go, people wind up saying, I can't believe your marriage. You're like so friendly, you're so together. Hi, my name is Jane and I'm one of the youths at the Inspiring Children Foundation. And one of the big things that they helped me in my life is being more open and talking about my feelings more. I still don't like to talk about my feelings pretty much, but through the Foundation they've helped me step by step throughout the process and I'm getting better each day and I'm growing, so that's the important part. So without further ado, I will introduce our next artist. So Yane is known as the Justin Timberlake of Colombia. After becoming an international star with the group Peso 21, his solo career took off, and now he's performing his newest hit single, Como Antes. Hi Steve, happy birthday! I'm so grateful for that you have created Because of you, I have been able to create music, my greatest passion. My second greatest passion is love, and from what I hear about the love that you share with your wife Janet, it reminds me of the song that I wrote inspired by my parents, about a special kind of love that you don't find today, you know, as much as you used to. This song is called Como Antes, and it means the way it used to be. And it talks about the fact that I want to love you the way people used to love. I want to open the door. I want to do this. I want to do that. So this is my gift to you and your beautiful wife, Janet. It's called Como Antes. Enjoy. Janet told me that one of your favorite songs was is my song Foolish Games, so I'm gonna sing that for you. See if my voice does it. We'll see. I grew up loving. Leonard Cohen, and I listened to his song, the famous Blue Raincoat, over and over and over. And I wanted to try and write a song, I don't know, that evoked that kind of visual imagery and those emotions. And so when I was 18, I sat down to, uh, do my best to rip off Leonard Cohen, and this is it. You took. You caught up. And you stood in the rain. You're always crazy like that. And I watched from my window. Always felt like I was outside looking in on you. You were always the mysterious one with dark eyes and careless hair. You were Fashionably sensitive, but too cool to care. You stood in my doorway with nothing to say besides some comment on the weather. Well, in case you failed to notice, in case you failed to see, this is my heart bleeding before you. This is me down on my knees. And these foolish games. Are tearing me apart. Your thoughtless words are breaking my heart. You're breaking my. Hi. You're always brilliant in the morning, smoking your cigarettes, talking over coffee. Philosophies on arts broke moved you, and you loved Mozart, and you'd speak of your loved ones as I clumsily strum my guitar. Well, excuse me, 'cause I've mistaken you for somebody else. Somebody who gave a damn. Somebody More like myself. These foolish games are tearing me apart, tearing me apart, tearing me apart. And your thoughts Your loveless words are breaking my heart. You're breaking my heart. Ooh. Cold off, you stood in the rain. You're always crazy like that. Oh, hey Steve. Christy Yamaguchi here. Wait, let me take my AirPods out. Juanes is a world-renowned Colombian artist who sold millions of records around the world. and earned a staggering 25 Grammys, including the Academy's top honor, Person of the Year. Okay, I hope you like it, man, and enjoy it. Happy birthday, ciao. Happy birthday, Waz. Big number seven zero. Well, I'm three ahead of you. Be seventy-three. But between both of us. We've had a blessed life of about 150 years. There are so many stories that I could share based on our friendship and relationship over the years, but probably the most challenging, if you can remember this, was when you had 5 puppies and you chose puppy number 2. And we offered my mom, and she chose puppy number 1. Named him Wazzy, showed all her friends the picture. But Janet offered to train little Wazzy since my mom is going to be 93. But as you remember, you fell in love with Wazzy and didn't want to give him up, and sent me a very long email letter with a very. Sad Steve Wozniak. Obviously, it was a challenge for me since it put me between my best friend and my mom, but things worked out all right. You got Wozzie, and my mom got a young puppy by the name of Jewel, and everybody's happy today. To celebrate our, our friendship, I have created a Special bottle of wine called Waz Chardonnay, which is your favorite varietal. And this will be released in February of next year. Limited production. I refer to it as my hero production. And on the back, I've written Waz and I go way back, both as colleagues and as friends. A lot has changed since we first met. Technology, business, personal computing, and the speed of innovation. But a lot hasn't changed. Woz is still a tinkerer, a problem solver, and a brilliant engineer. This wine is a personal tribute to my friend, Steve Wozniak. Chardonnay is his favorite varietal, and this version reminds me of him— playful, grounded, and finely tuned. Woz, happy birthday. Woz, I think the last time I sang in California, you were there at the winery. I have so many wonderful and happy memories of you and Janet being in the audience at different shows. So I thought I'd play some songs that I think I know you like. A song called Hands. 'Cause this song makes me think of you. The power of what we can do with just our hands. How much we can give, how much we can invent and create. And how much that has to do with giving back. If I could tell the world just one thing, it would be that we're all okay. And not to worry, 'cause worry is wasteful and it's useless in times like these. I won't be made useless. I won't be made idle with despair. I'll gather myself around my faith, for light does the darkness Most fear. My hands are small, I know, but they're not yours; they are my own. But they're not yours; they are my own. And we are never broken. Poverty stole your golden shoes, but it did not steal love. Heartache came to visit me, but I knew it was not ever after. And we will fight, but it's not out of spite. It's just 'cause someone must stand up for what's right. 'Cause where there's a man who has no voice, there I will shall go singing. So I will get down on my knees, and I will pray. I will get down on my knees, and I will pray. I will get down on my knees and pray. 'Cause my hands are small, I know, but they're not yours. They are my own, but they're not yours. They are my own. And we are never broken. No, no. We are never broken. Happy birthday, Woz. Hi, Steve Jobs. Ruby here. I wanted to thank you for co-founding Apple. When I was in college, I worked at Computerland of Ithaca repairing Apple IIs, and then years later, as you know, I joined the turnaround team. Been a great experience. So I wanted to thank you for, for co-founding Apple and enabling that experience for me, and I hope you have a great birthday. I'm excited to introduce our next guest who hosted The Tonight Show for over 50 years. I got to sing on this show so many times, have incredible memories. Jay is one of the most welcoming and generous people that I know. He always says yes when we need his help. So please enjoy a message from comedian and host Jay Leno. Hi Steve, Jay Leno here wishing you a happy 80th birthday. You know, it's hard What? He's only 70? I'm 70. He looks like my father. Really? We're the same. We can edit this out, right? He'll never see this part, right? Right. Okay. Steve, happy 70th birthday! Very excited for you. Hey, listen, if you want to come down and do Jay Leno's Garage, we'd love to have you, and we can show you all the latest stuff from 1937. So yeah, new tech. So anyway, happy birthday, my friend. And actually, you look great. You look healthy. And come on down to Jay's Garage. We'd love to have you. Thanks a lot. Bye-bye. So the other day, Jay Leno called me and he invited us to come see his cars. And he also invited us to auction that off. So if an auction winner at the charity auction will get to go with Woz and I and Jay Leno and tour his garage, which is just unbelievable. And all the money from the auction will go to benefit the foundation. And that's just— it's a win-win-win all the way around. Thank you, Janet, for coming up with this incredible idea. And thank you, Woz, for allowing this to be the gift that gives to others as well. In lieu of birthday presents, Janet and Steve asked that all presents be turned into donations to the Inspiring Children Foundation. This is a foundation that we founded 18 years ago. It saves at-risk youth, and we help transform their lives by teaching them skills. We don't give them anything other than the investment of teaching them entrepreneurial skills, teaching them psychology and mindfulness skills to help transmute their stories their very adverse stories into rocket fuel to launch them into a future that's waiting for them. Hey, Jewel, Janet, and Waz. My name is Clarissa, and I'm a youth intern, a part of the Inspiring Children Foundation. I wanted to thank you for your support because without it, I honestly don't know where I'd be in life. In short, I grew up in a house with domestic violence where my mother was the abuser. As time went on, she was incarcerated and I was left alone. My siblings left and I felt that I had no one. As I grew up, I had to face the murder of my brother, the death of my mother due to her drug addiction, and almost my own death due to a suicide attempt. I felt like there was no hope for me. for me until I met Cheryl Odell, another youth a part of the Inspiring Children Foundation. It was through meeting her and being introduced to everyone here that I felt like I was finally able to find some peace in my life. So I wanted to share a poem with you that I feel really encaptures my journey and the forgiveness for myself and for my situation. It's called A Letter to Her, and it's dedicated to my mother who lost her life in 2018. Do you remember when goodbye left your lips as I walked away, then looked behind? Mommy, I could see it in your eyes, how much you wish you could have held me like life should have let happen before fentanyl met you at your front door and took advantage of your weak As you slipped away into its arms and not mine. If only then had I told you it wasn't too late to change. Dear Mommy, I hated you. Carried your sins and made them mine. Was lost in rage, and every time you called, I screamed, stop calling, 'cause I ain't got no time. But now it's a 2 AM, replay your voicemails, and hate myself kind of night. Wish I would have held you, forgiven you, or loved you kind of night. But I can't help but wonder, what does it feel like to be dead and finally free? Because trust me, I tried to be there, end it all when I was just 17, just so I could feel a false sense of peace. And trust me, Mom, when I woke up in the hospital bed and felt that I could still breathe, rage, anger, and hopelessness began to manifest itself inside of me. Knees laid on the concrete where only the skies could hear my screams, and I caught myself making the sign of the cross. Only religious when it's convenient, only believed in God when I desperately needed Because from 8 to 18, I was forced to carry yours and my brother's sins and dysfunctional hearts in both of my palms. And I begged you both to stop doing wrong until I started to fall into your footsteps. The same ones I swore I'd never follow. The same ones I knew had a dead end to hollow. But Mommy, this is the pill that I'm finally choosing to swallow. My life. My life is precious. My trauma is not a death sentence. And I made my brother a promise that I'd be the greatest, and I'm here to show him that I meant it. I'm gonna live my life even if my mind wants to force me to resent it. So forgive me for all the times that I hated you, for when I cried at night And felt lonely waiting for you. Because even though you never made it through, I see who you truly are in me every time I choose to live right and make it through. From your death, Mom, it's ironic that I've chosen to live. But it's not just you, and it's not just my brother Mario, but it's finally me. I forgive. Woz, happy birthday. And please just know that even though we've never personally met, your support of the Foundation has allowed me to open my heart to heal all the trauma that I've endured, to be able to write something as beautiful as that. Thank you. Thank you. Hi Steve, this is Passenger here. I just wanted to wish you a very happy birthday. I hope you have a lovely day and I hope you enjoy this song. Cheers. When you're missing home, only know you love her when you let her go. You let her go. Staring out the porch and move your glass, hoping. Maybe one day you'll make a dream last. Dreams come slow, go so fast. See you when you close your eyes. Maybe one day you'll understand why everything you touch surely dies. But you only need the light when it's burning low. Only miss the sun when it starts to snow. Only know you love her when you let her go. Only know you've been high when you're feeling low. Only hit the road when you're missing home. Only know you love her when you let her go. Looking at the ceiling in the dark, same old empty feeling in your heart. Love comes slow and it goes so fast. Well, you see her when you fall asleep, but never to touch and never to keep, 'cause you loved her too much and you dived too deep. You only need the light when it's burning low. Only miss the sun when it starts to snow. Only know you love her when you let her go. Only know you've been high when you're feeling low. Only hit the road when you're missing home. Only know you love her when you let her go. You only need the light when it's burning low. Only miss her sound when it starts to snow. Only know you love her when you let her go. You know you've been high when you're feeling low. Only hate the road when you're missing home. Only know you love her when you let her go. Have a great day. Cheers. Hey Steve, what's going on? It's Bernsie here. We've been playing hockey, trying to get back in shape so we're ready to go when the Sharks get back. I just want to say happy birthday. Hope you had a good one, and hopefully we get back to normal here and we get back to some good Sharks hockey. All the best, man. Hi, Woz. Here is Thomas Hertel. I want to wish you a happy birthday. Thanks for supporting us, and hopefully see you in Shark Tanks. Enjoy your party, and happy birthday again. The art was filled with color and light and happiness and hope and love, because the art is really a reflection of you. It is happy. It is hopeful. It is bright and colorful, and for some of you that would like to bring some of these one-of-a-kind pieces home, you can. The auction begins tomorrow at wazbday.com, and it's going to continue for weeks. And I hope that this art touches your soul and everyone who sees it. And now. We're going to hear from the artists who would like to share their love with you on your birthday. We love you, Woz! No, you know who it is, no? You know? Woz, forever. We love you. Hey, Woz. Peter Tunney. Happy birthday. All I've got to say to you, brother, is tempus fugit. Time flies. Who could believe it? I want to wish you a happy birthday. I want to thank you for creating a world full of color. That inspired humanity and especially me. The music is all around us. All you have to do is listen. Thank you so much for bringing color into the world. It has inspired me in my career, and, uh, you know, I just— I hope you have an amazing birthday. Happy 70th birthday, Woz. Thank you for being a pioneer in the desktop publishing revolution that has empowered me to create In efficient ways that have just made my life so much better. It's such a tool of self-liberation, and you were a big part in giving me the tools that allow me to do that. So thank you. Happy birthday, Wise! Hey, I'm Sam, and I'm Tootie, and together we are friends with you. We make art that makes the world a happier and cuter place, and we're so happy to celebrate. Thank you so much for inviting us. Yeah, we're so happy to be here. Have a great birthday. Thank you. Happy birthday. Bye. Happy birthday, Waz. Happy birthday. I want to celebrate your birthday creating 2 beautiful portraits of yours, and, and I was inspired by your geniusness and your kindness, your interest in humankind, in nature, in children, and the world in general, and trying to elevate the quality of life of everyone with happiness. So it's a gift from Romero Prieto, from me. I created in my studio just for you. Enjoy! Happy birthday, Waz! Thank you for sharing your happiness with all of us. You've always known that that's what it's all about. That's why I've created this piece. I hope you like it. Enjoy your night. You deserve it all. Blessings. It's an honor to create a digital portrait of my dear friend Waz on his 70th birthday. I love drawing the details such as the label and zippers, which bring a hyperrealism to the work. So I just wanted to wish you an amazing birthday, and if it wasn't for you, I don't know what I would be doing with my life. So thank you, and, um, many more happy birthdays to you. Jimmy Mulligan here, James C. Mulligan. Um, I am absolutely thrilled and honored to be presenting this original oil painting that I did of none other than the fella that is responsible for Apple Computer, in my opinion, Steve Wozniak. This is the song that started my career as a songwriter, and, you know, Woz, when I was reading your book, the thing I was so impressed with was what an artist you are. Listening to you talk about engineering is like listening to an artist talk about songwriting. The type of inventor you are is an artist, and this is for you. People living their lives for you on TV. They say they're better than you, and you agree. Shit says all my calls from behind those cold brick walls says, come here, boy, there's nothing for free. Another burger, another hot dog, some fries. You wish in the well, hope your health don't go to hell. Well, another doctor's bill, a lawyer's bill, another cute cheap thrill. You know you love 'em if you put 'em in your will. Who will save your soul? When it comes to the flower, no, yo, hey, he will save your soul after all those lies you told, boy. Who will save your soul if you won't save your own? Won't lie, added love with it. I know. We tried to hustle him, tried to bustle him, tried to cuss him, and the cops want someone to bust down on Orleans Avenue. Oh, another day, another dollar, another war, another tower went up where the homeless had their homes. So we prayed to his manna, their Different gods as there are flowers, but we call religion our friend. We are so worried about saving our souls, afraid that God will take his toll, that we forget to begin. But who will save your soul when it comes to the flowers? No way. Who will save your soul after all those lies you told, boy? Who will save your soul if you won't save your own? Some are walking, some are talking, some are stalking their kill. You got so-called Social Security, but that don't pay your bills. There's addictions to feed and their mouths to pay. So you bargain with the devil, say you're okay today, say that you love them, take their money and run. Say it's been swell, sweetheart, but it was just one of those. Those things, those strings, those flings, those strings, those flings, those strings, those flings, those strings, those flings, those strings, those flings, those strings, those flings, those strings, those flings, those things you gotta cut. So get on the streets, go right now and bust all your butts. Who will save your soul when it comes to the memories? Oh, hey, hey, hey. Who will save your soul? After all those lies that you told, boy, who will save, save ya? Who will save, save ya? So all of you won't see your own way, own way, own way, own way, own way, own way, own way, own way. And finally. Because I know you want it, a birthday yodel. I learned to yodel when I was 5. If people watching don't know I yodel, it's okay to laugh. I'm up on a mountain so gay and so free. There is a young man and he's waiting there for me. And out on the lake we'll drift with the tide and hear those chime bells ring. Oh, chime bells are ringing. Making birds a-singing. Yodel-ay yodel-ay tee. Hush, little lover. Yodel-ay tee. Upon a summer's eve. Yodel-ay o-tea. Yodel-ay o-tea. Yodel-ay ay-tea. Yodel-ay yodel-ay tee. Yodel-ay o-tea. Yodel-ay yodel-ay tee. Yodel-ay tee yodel-ay tee. From surgery to success, Sloane Stephens is the US Open champion. Hi, Woes, it's Sloane Stephens here. Um, and, uh, yeah, I'm glad we got a little chance to visit then, and the fact that we've kept in touch has been really special to me. So I want to just say happy, happy birthday. Happy 70th, and I look forward to seeing you soon and wishing you only the best. Lots of love. Hey Wuzzles, it's Piff the Magic Dragon! And it's time for Piff's Magic Box! That's right, for your birthday, me, Piff the Magic Dragon, Jade Simone, and Francis Esquire are gonna perform for you 2 minutes of birthday magic trick. All I need is a coin. That's right, we're gonna put the coin over here in Piff's Magic Box. All right, let's see what wonder we have brought you today. Oh, Francis! Yeah? Look, look, I got Steve, this lovely little egg over here. Jade, would you take that and give that to Steve? Hey Francis, would you like an egg? Oh son, that's right! Just made two eggs appear when there was one eggs. Hey Francis, Francis, look, look! I got a delicious Oreo cookie over here. Oh, hang on a minute. I just remembered I'm gluten intolerant. Oh what? What? That is a biblical. That is! That's like when Jesus turned all that water into wine. Yeah, yeah, except diabetes. Hey, hey, Francis, did you lose a yellow knife? Sure, why not? Really? Because I heard Steve lost a red knife. That's right, I just turned a yellow knife into— that's— that actually just happened right there, Steve. How does he do it? Hey, hey, Steve, look, I got a Mr. Pebbles Finger Monster over here. Where did it go? Now it's back again. It vanished again, and now it's back. I paid somebody $400 to carve that. Never going to see a return on that investment, am I? No, you will not. Hey, Francis, look! Oh! Blow it. Oh, careful with that one, Jade. That cost $500. That's crazy. Oh, I'm just gonna clean this regular glass. Oh, good. Just cleaning this regular glass, Steve, with a— with this totally regular napkin. Just cleaning a glass with napkin, Steve. Nothing to see here. Or is there, Steve? Or is there? That's right, Steve. Look at this. Look at this, Steve. Guess what I'm doing? It's napkin to bird. What? Yeah, you don't see Shin Lim doing that shit, do you? No, probably for a good reason. But that's not the— look, the TSA left this in my luggage once. That's it. I don't have a bit with that. I'm just showing you a thing that I had. Nice. Yeah, learnt that, so might as well do it. Uh, hey, Francis, Francis, Francis, just give me a clap. Oh! Come on! Explain that with your technology, Steve! Yeah, can an iPhone do that? Yeah, there goes science out the window, doesn't it? There is an app that you can operate your whole house. Okay, can you not talk about apps while we're doing this, Francis? We've got a lot to get through. I'm just going to take a quick break. Okay. Oh yeah, you got to get your vitamin D. Mmm, piflicious! That's right! Put some cake with that milk, Steve! And I'm lactose intolerant, so that's not gonna be pretty. No, that's— Hey, who ordered a large fish? Nobody. No, that's why— I don't know why it was in there, actually. Oh, oh, Francis. Yeah, I got 2 regular playing cards over here. Oh, that's nice. Yeah, I won't show you the other sides. Just assume they are. Look, we're gonna take it and we— oh, oh, oh, I'm sawing the playing card in half. This is— how is that even— how do you even explain that Christmas miracle over there? How do you even explain that? And they vanish. Oh, I'm just gonna wipe my brow with this stripy napkin here. Take a break. Hey, did somebody say no? They wanted to see not again. Yeah, yeah, not again. Did somebody say they wanted to see? Oh, napkins are zebra. Wow, zebra Steve. These are endangered. We say zebra. Isn't that crazy? Hey Francis, watch, you're gonna make the spoon bend. Okay, making a spoon bend. Guys, make it— yeah, I can kind of see. This is more difficult than it looks. Never mind, I make a fork pen! Oh, what the fork? Look at— what the fork? Oh, Jade, look, I got a single Mr. Piffles bill, right? And this little ink pad that I got from Walgreens. A magic store? Oh, Walgreens. Okay, yeah, sure. Yeah, I'm just gonna— just gonna— I think I think it's gonna— Nice. Yep, just gonna— What? What? What? Oh! Yeah, look at that! Look at that! Look at that! Look! What? What? Yeah, look at that! You're printing money! No, it's not real, otherwise— no, I'm not gonna be in a garage in 150 degrees if I could actually do this shit, am I? Yeah, no, that's true. That's true. Hey Francis! What? Uh, would you like to see my impressions of a baby ghost, Francis? Oh, definitely! Yeah, but we gotta hurry up because I've still gotta wish Steve happy birthday, and I'm gonna run out of time soon. Okay. So here we go. First impression, regular baby ghost. Oh, very cute! Second impression, sleepy baby ghost. Oh man. Third impression, naked baby ghost. Oh, that is not for kids, ladies and gentlemen. Fourth impression, a teenage spirit. Oh, come on, pass that over here so I can, uh, cheers. I gotta say happy birthday to Steve. No, give me that and then we'll all cheers it. Well, I just don't have much time. Oh well, this will take just a second. Okay, take it. All right, I'm coming for it. Okay, just give that to Francis. I'm coming. Hold on, Steve. Okay, just try and reach through the, uh, the Skynet. Reach through it. You can't rush brilliance. No, that's it. You're— there you go. You, you got it. I'm coming. Yeah, just piercing the veil. Just draw back the curtain. Yep. Oh, interdimensional Mike's Hard Lemonade. Sorority girls have been drinking Mike's Hard Lemonade for years. I'm pretty sure we substituted it with the ginger ale for cost purposes. Oh well, that's fine. Hey Jade, can you hook me up? Can you just give Francis a beer? Yeah, come on guys, we gotta be really quick because I've got to say happy birthday to Wazzles. All right, before we run out of time on this, stretch out. Emily said we only had like 2 minutes and It's fine. This is like another, just another like 14 or 15 minutes and— No, no, it'll be fine. Yeah, it's important we see this bit through, Francis. Yeah, Steve, you can go to the bathroom right now. Don't go to the bathroom. I'm about to wish Happy Birthday. Well, I mean, right where he is. Don't— just hang on a second, Steve. We're almost there. Yeah. We should have enough time. Can you, can you— Hey Steve, I, uh, really just wanna Wish you a happy. Can you just? Can you just pick up the drink, please? Yeah, it's. All right, just come on. Yeah, let's. Where are you going? All right, sorry. All right. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, almost. Yeah, yeah. You're still coming up. Ah, it's it's it's. He gets it. Hey, Steve, I just wanted to say a very sincere. Happy— Mr. Wozniak, I just want to say happy birthday and thank you so much for creating a place like WozU where technology-driven companies and technology-minded people can come together and increase their knowledge base and improve everyone's lives. My life has been changed because of this opportunity, and it wouldn't have happened without you. So thank you, sir, and again, happy birthday. This message is for Steve Wozniak. Steve, we just want to tell you happy birthday. Thank you for creating WISEU, because through WISEU I did have the opportunity to further my IT career. So for that, I am very grateful, and On your birthday today, I wish you the best and wish you many more. God bless. We graduated our first class on the 25th of October of this year at Coddington University, and for their final project, Dr. Brown requested that this class build a web application to automate the entrance examination process for Curtin University. And to see our graduates build a fully functional web application, which is in use right now at Curtin University, was just amazing. These guys put in a lot of work. Ken and his students put in countless hours, day in and day out. It helped me to apply to the program After that, I believe that now within myself I can build a website, which I knew I couldn't do before. Hi Steve, my name is Michael and I just wanted to say thank you for the Wazoo Apprenticeship Program and also wish you a happy birthday. It's all about finding a good flock, a good flock of people that are there to support you and help you that you can support and you can help. And Wazoo has been absolutely the flock that I was looking for, and they helped me get through this program, and I'm eternally grateful for that. And thank you. Hi, Mr. Wozniak. My name is Ashley. I am one of your participants in the Wazoo Apprenticeship program, and I'd like to take some time to give you a special thank you for, uh, what you have done here with this program. It has absolutely changed my life, and I would like to take this time also to wish you a happy birthday. Thank you. Hey, Woz, it's Tony Robbins. Happy birthday, brother. 70 years, 7 decades on this planet. I don't know anybody who's crammed more into 7 decades than you have. Listen, I only got to meet you briefly, but I wanted to just add my voice to the chorus of millions of people that want to thank you for all that you've done. I met you at the TED conference in 2008, and you were talking about innovation, and there's nobody on the planet that's better at it than you. But I just, I'm just one of the hundreds of millions or billions whose lives you've touched. And I just think at this time especially, I hope you take in this special birthday because you've done just— you didn't just bring technology to us, you brought technology and humanity together. You know, so many people get in their head and they forget the human experience, and you've never forgotten that. And it's shown up in the way you lived your life, it's shown up in your technology, it's just showed up in your philanthropy. And at this time during the pandemic especially, so many people are staying connected because of tools that you created, brother. So happy, happy 70th birthday. We all send you our love and our deepest thanks and wish for you as many more decades as you desire in the most healthy and fulfilled way possible. Keep growing, brother. Keep giving, because we're all out here to receive and give back our love and appreciation to you. Happy birthday. Action! Hi, I'm Lance Burton. I'm standing in the middle of the Nevada desert. We're just outside Las Vegas, the magic capital of the world. On a clear day, you can see for 100 miles in every direction. And when you're in a magical place like this, it's a good idea to keep your eyes open at all times. You never know what's gonna happen. Come on, let's get started. Hey, Woz, it's your old buddy Lance Burton, master magician in Las Vegas. Just wanted to wish you a happy birthday. Oh, I'm sorry, and look who stopped by to say hi. It's Elvis. Not, not the real Elvis, that's just the little bird's name. Elvis has a trick he'd like to show you. He calls this Going South. Oh, I'm sorry, uh, he refuses to do the trick unless the The cage is covered so you can't see him. He's not very smart. No, Elvis, they can't see you. Oh, I'm sorry, Elvis says he wants to see the birthday boy one more time. Say good night, Elvis. Elvis has left the building. Happy birthday, pal. Hey Steve, happy birthday! Thank you so much, Janet, for reaching out to us. We're really super proud to be a part of this celebration. The first time we kind of crossed paths was actually— we didn't really actually meet because someone from your team said you were gonna be at the show in San Francisco, and we were like, yeah right. And then there was a tweet with one of our fans with you at the show. So we were like, oh shoot, my bad, our bad. So the next time we came through San Francisco, you guys came around again and we said hello. And it's just been so surreal to be doing music and to meet the people that we get to meet. And we're so thankful that this song and our performance of the song has meant enough that we get to be a part of your 70th birthday surprise. Thank you, Janet, for Excuse me, I had a lot of wings. Thank you, Janet, for including us. I'm here in Los Angeles, California, and you're getting Daniel and Sally in Daegu, South Korea. So here's Mr. Brightside by The Killers by Run River North. Coming out of my cage, doing just fine. Gotta, gotta be down. Want it all. It started out with a kiss. Did it end up like this? Only a kiss. It was only a kiss. But now Shit! It was so good! I'm gonna do this. Uh, we'll just cut to, um, I'll just start playing it. Oh. Yeah, yeah. Having a drag. I'm coming out of my cage, doing just fine. Gotta, gotta be down. Want it all. It started out with a kiss. How did it end up like this? It was only a kiss. Only a kiss. Now I'm falling asleep. She's calling a cab while he's having a smoke. She's taking a drag and they're going to bed. My stomach is sick. It's all in my head. But she's touching his chest now. He takes off her dress now. Let me Jealousy. Oh no, I just can't look. It's killing me and it's taking control. Jealousy. It's turning saints into the sea, swimming through sick lullabies, choking on your alibis. But it's just the price I pay. Destiny, it's calling me, open up my eager eyes. I'm Mr. Brightside tonight. Oh, I never, I never. I never, I never, oh, I never. Oh, I never. Wish I never. Oh, I never. Hi, I'm Jade, a youth in the Inspire and Tune In Foundation. I'd say through my mentors, the atmosphere, and the like-minded peers that strive for greatness each and every day, the foundation has taught me how to heal and grow relationships with myself, my family, and those that I hold dear to my heart. Without further ado, I'd like to formally introduce Alejandro, a world-renowned Spanish artist who sold over 25 million records globally and earned a staggering 28 Grammys, including the Academy's highest honor, the Person of the Year. Now introducing Alejandro Sanz. Hola, my name is Alejandro Sanz. I'm a Spanish songwriter, 28 times Grammy winner, 4 times father. I would like to wish you a happy birthday, but more than that, I want to say thank you for everything you did. You are an extraordinary Human being, and for that, I'm I'm just here saying thank you. I have this song for you, and happy birthday, my friend. Alma. What up, Woz? I just want to say happy, happy, happy birthday. Just remember who your Dancing with the Stars pal was, who gave you all the insight that led to you being successful on the dance floor and off. Enjoy your big day, Steve. Take care. Hey, Woz, Larry the Cable Guy. Happy birthday, brother. Happy birthday! But I think the most important thing that we need to let the people know right now is that the University of Nebraska, as Janet knows, area code 402, is the greatest college football team that ever lived. So your birthday, even though I am happy to celebrate it with you, holds no candle to the statement that the University of Nebraska is the greatest college football team that ever lived. greatest college football team that ever lived. All right, have a happy birthday, but just remember, the American people really care more about this Red End than your birthday. But I am celebrating your birthday just because I love you, and Janet's a Husker. Go Big Red! Oh, and happy birthday. Hope you have an amazing day, Woz. Happy birthday. Wish I could be there, but you'll have a great day with your family and friends, and we'll see you next time you're in Australia for a big hike and hopefully a couple of gigs. It's been a real pleasure hanging out with you over the years. Lots of love. Hello, Waz. My name is Adam Chayer. I am co-founder of Siri. We've met a couple times. I think the last time was in, uh, Kiev where we were both doing a talk. I just wanted to reach out And wish you a magical birthday. And it says, Happy BD Waz. Hi, my name is Case. It's an honor to be here, and I picked this song because I thought it was appropriate. How many roses How many roads must a man walk down before you can call him a man? Yes, and how many seas must a white dove sail before she sleeps in the sand? How many times must the cannon How many balls can a pinball fly before they are forever pinned? The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind. The answer is blowing in the wind. How many years can a mountain exist before Before it is washed to the sea? Guessing how many years can some people exist before they're allowed to be free? How many times can a man turn his head and pretend that he just doesn't see? The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind. The answer is blowing in the wind. How many times must a man look up before he can see the sky? Yes, and how many How many ears must one man have before he can hear people cry? How many deaths will it take till he knows that too many people have died? The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind. The answer is blowing in the wind. One of the favorite things for me about my job is mentoring other singer-songwriters. I've always had singer-songwriters that weren't discovered yet or hadn't broke yet opening for me. Jason Mraz, I think I was actually one of the first tours that he did. So he opened for me years ago, and this next artist opened for me. She actually got her start on YouTube before getting on American Idol, and now she's a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter. Tori Kelly. Hey, Waz, it's Tori, and I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday. Thank you for all that you do, and thank you also to your lovely wife Janet for reaching out and asking me to do this. I heard that this might be a song that you like, so I want to dedicate this To you both, and again, happy birthday. Dangerous plan, just this time. A stranger's hand clutched in mine. I'll take this chance. So call me blind. I've been waiting all my life. Please don't scar this young heart. Just take my hand. I was made for loving you. Even though we may be hopeless hearts just passing through. Every bone screaming, I don't know what we should do. All I know is, darling, I was made for loving you. Hold me close through the night. Don't let me go. I'll feel All right. Touch my soul and hold it tight. I've been waiting all my life. And I won't scar your young heart. Just take my hand. I was made for loving you, even though we may be hopeless hearts just passing through. Every bone screaming, I don't know what we should do. All I know is, darling, I was made for loving you. Oh, please don't go. I've been waiting so long. Oh, you're done. You don't even know me at all, but I was made for loving you. I was made for loving you. Even though we may be hopeless hearts just passing through, every bone screaming, I don't know what Hey, Waz, it's Bill. Just reaching out to say wow, congratulations, thanks, and happy birthday! 70 years young. Who would have ever thought? The days that used to be and all that went down and you being able to turn it back up. We're so happy and proud as we celebrate everything you. Please, Woz, know that we are eternally grateful for all the things and all the stuff, yes, but mostly we're grateful for you. Please realize and accept how much We appreciate your everlasting honor, your values, character, integrity, sacrifice, and discipline. Yes, and please know, accept, and embrace the love that we all have for you. Thanks, Wallace. Thanks for thinking, for dreaming, and for coming up with so many ideas. Thanks for creating things out of nothing more than just a thought. Thanks for being smarter than the rest of us. And so curious about life. Thanks for being willing to experiment and explore. Thanks, Woz, for your ethical choices and for standing tall when things weren't clear or going well. Thanks for your vision, even when the rest of us couldn't see. Thanks for hearing the cries of the children and those in need. Thanks for your kindness, your compassion, and sense of dignity, humanity, and— Humanity. And class. Thanks, Woz, for your standards of excellence and for your relentless search of perfection. Thanks for understanding our frailties and limitations. Thanks for your resiliency, your perseverance, and your persistence, and for illuminating our path forward and for shepherding us through the darkness. Thanks, Woz. For doing what's never been done before. Thanks for your patience and your capacity to forgive. Thanks for the US Festival. Thanks for the fun, the joy, the optimism, the hope and cheer of a full life well lived. Thank you, Oz, for allowing us to come along on your ride of a lifetime. Thank you for your life. Which has given us ours. And one last big, all-encompassing thank you, Woz, for all the things I haven't mentioned already. 70. Wow. Seems like you're just getting started. May you always find favorable winds and the peace of mind that comes with the self-satisfaction of knowing how much you mean to all of us. And how all of this is because of you. We love you, Woz. May you stay forever young. Happy birthday. Happy everything forever. Nothing tops tonight doing this special piece in honor of Steve Wozniak, aka Woz. He's brought in so much creativity, so much innovation to the world through color and through computers and through Apple. This one's for you, brother. Peace. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Jon Boogs to add a little bit of color to his piece, because this is exactly what Woz does for me every day. Every day he brightens me up with his smiles, his jokes, his magic tricks, and his kind, gentle nature. Thanks, Woz, for the color you have brought into my life. Met you, Woz, you were, uh, at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco, and you and Janet had been writing your, um, segues around the festival grounds. And, um, I was talking to somebody. I thought— oh, I think it was, um, uh, some of the— another musician there in the back. And, um, and you were standing there for a minute and you interjected a couple of things, and then all of a sudden it dawned on me, oh my God, this is Steve Wozniak. Oh, my God. And we traded information and started talking. And the emails that I've gotten from you where you go on at length about different stuff, your fears about artificial intelligence, your thoughts about, I don't know, just like the most random things. I love the way your brain works. I love your excitement for life and music specifically. I think you've got fantastic taste. So to that end, this— you've told me that this is your favorite of all my songs, and that's very sweet. Thank you. And I'm so glad that I get to be a tiny part of the birthday celebration for you. Thank you. So happy birthday, Woz. This one is for you. Oh, the skate skinny and the terrible twos. How can you have everything and nothing to lose? You and nobody see eye to eye. You're gonna wake up with a ghost instead Instead of a guard, pull a town board on the wall of a church. Soaking up a city from a top step perch. Gonna break down on a midnight date. Curse this town and you're gonna run late. You're pretty as a penny, roller skates skinny. You're pretty as a penny, oh. Do you wanna meet up at the Pickwood Bowl? Knock 9 down and leave 1 in the hole. Wouldn't be here if the Athenia hadn't sunk, if dear old Dad hadn't got so drunk. Every other day is a kick in the shins. Every other day, it's like the day just wins. Make 'em alright, make 'em okay, make me smile. I'm sorry, Dad. I'm sorta glad that I waited till today. You're pretty as a penny, roller skates skinny. You're pretty as a penny, oh, roller skates skinny. Roller skates skinny on the terrible twos. 2 years in and it's time to choose. Oh, feels good when it sits right down, puts his feet up on a table and sends a bowl around. Nobody's gonna see eye to eye with a girl who's only gonna stand collarbone high. Rain's gonna come in fair-sized drips. We're gonna go to heaven wearing paper hat ships. You're pretty as a penny, roller skates skinny. You're pretty as a penny hole, roller skates skinny. I believe in you. I believe in love, but it don't believe in me. I believe in love, but it don't believe in me. No, it don't believe in me. Happy birthday, Waz! Hi, Steve! Ciao, Steve! We wanted to wish you a happy birthday for your 70s. And we would like to see meet you again very soon in person again, as soon as this will be possible. In the meantime, your team here at F4 is working hard to make a significant change, and we wanted to thank you once more to believe in us, for believing in us, and to want at seventy to still make a change in this world. Happy birthday! Happy birthday, Steve! Happy birthday! Hello, John McPhee from the Doobie Brothers here, wishing you a happy birthday, Mr. Wozniak. Thank you for bringing great things into the world. Hey Woz, it's David Copperfield wishing you a happy birthday. It's your birthday, but I need your help. I can't get my Apple Music to work with my computer. Can you send me the correct cables, please? Woz, John Andrasik from Five for Fighting, your favorite hockey buddy. You shark fan, you. We're here to celebrate your 70th birthday. Happy birthday. And I know there's gonna be a lot of people that say a lot of great things about you because you're such a fascinating entrepreneur. You're the wizard. You gave us a new world that we access every day. But my favorite thing about you, Woz, is that I could be in some random obscure town Playing a gig for 200 people, and I'll look out in the audience and there you'll be. I'll have no idea you were coming, and you're out there sitting by yourself enjoying music, my shows, and hundreds of other musicians, because you do have a passion for music, and we love you for that. So what song should I play for your birthday? Happy birthday, Waz! You only got 100 years to live. Go Kings! Hey, Waz, it's me, Drew Carey. Drew Carey from The Price is Right. Yeah. Yeah, that's me. I have a beard. I haven't shaved in a while because, uh, I hear people with beards are kinder and smarter and more, and, uh, you know, more sociable, funnier, better lovers. Everything's better when you have a beard, I found out. So there's that. And I haven't had a haircut. I'm kind of in disguise because COVID, you know, I owe a lot of people money. Hey, they wanted me to tell like a funny story about us or something like that. And there's more like funny moments. Like I can't imagine, I can't remember a time that I was with you since I've known you, which hasn't been that long compared to everybody else, but I, I can't remember a time being with you that I did not have laughs, a good time, walk away knowing something that I didn't know before. It's just like every time, and even friends that I've brought along to have dinner with you and hang out, they're always like, man, that was like the best dinner. He was the nicest guy. And I don't know if you know this, but behind your Back, people never talk about the computer stuff much. Not people that I know that know you. Like, nobody talks behind your back and says, oh, that guy is so computer smart and everything, which you already know about yourself. But what they do say behind your back is what a great guy you are. Everybody just says he's the nicest, he's the chillest, he's Fun, care, like the sweetest. Like you get so many compliments just about how nice you are. And I don't know what you think your legacy is going to be, but I think that's going to be it. You know, a lot of people, they talk about people that changed the world and did something cool. They go, yeah, he was this cool, but And there's always a but, you know, but, you know, he did this heinous thing or that heinous thing. And, you know, there's no buts with you. There's only ands. He did this cool thing, cool inventions, and he also did this other cool thing, and he's also a super nice guy. So I'm just proud to know you, man. You're just like, you really are one of the coolest. People I've ever known. I mean, it's just insane. And you're so freaking nice; it's crazy. You gotta quit being well. No, don't quit being so nice. And don't tell many about the beard. Don't tell anybody about the beard because I'm still trying to be undercover. So this whole thing blows over. I love you, man. Happy birthday. Hi, Waz. Happy birthday. Happy birthday, Waz. Happy birthday. Happy birthday to you! Sorry we can't be there to share this moment with you, but, uh, and I know that you're both looking forward to getting out to some concerts, as so are we. Um, so anyway, I put a few friends together here and we figured we'd bring the concert to you. So I want you to enjoy this piece that we put together, and you have a great day, and happy birthday to you! Lots of love! Seems I've got to have a change of scene. Every night, have the strangest dreams. Puzzling by the way it reminds me of a dream. Left here on my own, a sort of sea lamp. I've got to leave before it starts to scream. Someone locked the door and took the key. Feeling all right? Oh yeah. Hey, hey! And I feel that you could myself. Baby, I'm feeling all right right now. Hey, not feeling too good myself. Hey, oh yes, boy, you sure took me for one big ride. And every now and then I, I wonder why. When I think of you, I stop myself to cry. I can't waste my time. I must get dry. Stop believing in all your lies. Too much to do before I die. I'm feeling all right. All right, yeah. Uh huh. I ain't feeling. Feeling too good myself, too good myself. Oh, feeling all right now. Hey, uh-huh. And I'm feeling too good myself. Woo! Yeah! All I say, though at the time my rent fell that way, but that was a little night alone yesterday. I can't get straight, so I guess I'm used to it. Till someone come along and take my place with a different Seems I've got to have a change of scene. Every night I have the strangest dreams. Tempted by the way it might have been. I'm off to Rome, I know, before we see. I've gotta leave for that sad street. Well, someone locked the door and took the key. Hey, feeling all right, feeling all right. Well, I'm not feeling too good myself though. Well, can't see, baby. Feeling all right, feeling all right. Hey, and I feel too good myself. Hey, Woz, this is Pat. Wanted to wish you happy birthday. I thought I'd make a present for you right here. Watch this. See? It's the, um, It's the Apple logo for you, except it's not white. It's not, not lined up right, but happy birthday anyways. Hey Steve, how you doing? Steve Fishel here in Nashville. I wanted to wish you a very happy birthday, and I just want to remind you, uh, what a soulful, heartfelt spirit you are and how much inspiration you've brought to all of us. Yes. You're really an artistic genius and you inspire musicians and artists everywhere to be better at what they do. You know, I've often said that you could be a great A&R person because— and A&R, by the way, that stands for alcohol and restaurants— you know more about what's going on in the music scene than most executives at record labels. You always know about new artists like Lana Del Rey or Airborne Toxic Event or Ariana Gillis, or— and you're always listening to great stuff like John Prine, and you have such great taste. And this just speaks to your, your, your heart and your soul as an artist. So I just, I'm grateful to you for everything you've done in terms of education for young people. And everything that you do is a kind soul for others. You're always thinking about other people first, and you're one of the most selfless and generous and caring people that I know. So I hope you have a great today, great day today, and just really have a great time wherever you are. And I want to send you out with these famous words From the great John Bryan. I wish you love and happiness. Yes, I wish. Happy birthday, Steve! Happy 70th birthday, Woz! I'm thrilled that Diane and I can join you at the surprise 70th birthday party that Janet has put together. It's going to be a great celebration. I remember back in 1986 when I attended your graduation at UC Berkeley, and the dean of the engineering school stood up and he said, I'm introducing the valedictorian, but normally they aren't famous before they graduated. And of course you were because you had invented the Apple I and then later the Apple II, and they really ignited the social revolution that became the digital age. Back in 1978 though, I saw my first Apple II computer when a student after my talk at Harvard Business School on the Pepsi Challenge, asked me to come look at it. And we went into a room and there was this Apple II, 1978, no disk drive, just a tape recorder and a small television screen connected to it. And as he booted it up, I said, well, what is it? He said, well, I call it a spreadsheet. And this was an electronic spreadsheet. And that was Dan Bricklin. And a year later, he formed a company with Bob Frankston and Dan Feilstra that was called VisiCorp. And this was VisiCalc. The first commercial electronic spreadsheet. It could only run on the Apple II because the Apple II had enough memory, and it was one of the insights you had of an open architecture for personal computers so you could have slots. And when I joined Apple in 1983, I had as my highest priority— because Steve Jobs was building the Macintosh— was to focus on rejuvenating the growth of the Apple II. The Apple II group was over in the Triangle Building, about 2.5 miles from the Banley Drive campus, just about the time you were coming back from your recovery of the terrible airplane crash you had. And so we were both— you and I were in the Triangle Building with the Apple II group, and we got to know each other. And that was really the beginning of our friendship. And what was exciting to me was the insights that you had in designing the Apple II was an open architecture so that when we came out with the Apple IIe in 1983, we could put a CP/M card that was a step up from AppleDOS, and that made the Apple IIe an incredibly successful product. So successful, in fact, that between the Apple IIe and the Apple IIc that followed, we were able to get 4 years of positive cash flow, making Apple profitable. And that was you, Woz. if you had not invented those products and been part of that, uh, Apple never could have made it through the early 1980s because the Macintosh was still a year away from introduction, Lisa was going to be many years before it would make a profit, and the Apple III had failed. So the engineers looked at you, Woz, and this included in the Macintosh division as well, as someone who could come up with really simple solutions to challenging problems. And not only simple solutions, but elegant solutions. So you set a very high bar for all of the technical communities. People knew that you were the world's greatest engineer because you were so capable of doing this elegant work and solving complex problems with simple solutions. But besides being an engineer, you're just an amazing personality. And I can recall when you and I were invited with our families to come to the filming of the Steve Jobs movie up in San Francisco one day, and I brought my 2 grandchildren. Of course, you always show up with a pack of cards and puzzles and all kinds of jokes. And so you entertained my 2 grandchildren by saying, look, here are 16 squares on a diagram. Pick numbers that are 2 digits. And put them in each of the 4 corners. And then the kids did that, and then you filled in the other 12 squares with numbers that would add up to the same sum no matter whether you were looking at it horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Now, for you it took only about a minute. For even a math whiz, it would have taken probably the better part of a day, which just shows how incredibly brilliant you are, but how much fun you have at the same time. Because making other people happy is what your life has always been about. And I believe it's because you only think good thoughts. So as you make the rest of us happy, it reinforces your happiness, and it's like this flywheel that keeps going around. It's like a perpetual motion experience. And that's what makes you such an amazing person, Woz. Not just your brilliance, but your devotion to making other people happy and giving to other people and your enjoyment in life. So it's a real pleasure to be able to tell a few stories of the many stories I could have told. Waz, congratulations on your 70th birthday from Diane and me. Hey, my name is Archie Williams. I was just incarcerated for 37 years for a crime someone else committed. I was freed through DNA testing. Thanks to the Innocence Project and fingerprint analysis exonerated me after 2 or 3 hours. I'm on America's Got Talent right now, and I was touched and moved when I heard the story about Steve Wozniak was touched by my performance. So I just want to wish him a very happy birthday and that God be with him and his family. Forever. I can't lie. No more of your darkness. All my pictures seem to fade to black and white. I'm grown tired and time stands still before me. Frozen here on the ladders of my mind. Yeah, it's too late to save myself from fall. I took a chance and changed your way of life, but you misread my meaning when I. Close the door and left me blind by the light. Don't let the sun go down on me. Although I'll search myself, it's always someone else I see. Or just another fragment of your life to wander free by losing everything. Is like the sun going down on me. I can't find all the right romantic. But see me once and see the way I feel. Don't discard me, just be Because you think I'm in your heart, 'cause I don't. But these cuts I have, oh, they need love to help them heal. Don't let the sun go down You know me. Although I'll search myself, it's always someone else I see. I'm just another fragment of your life to wander free, free. You might lose it every Everything is like the sun going down on me. Don't let the sun go down on me. Although I'll search myself, it's always someone else I see. It's just another fragment of your life to wander free, free. But losing everything is like the We wish you a happy birthday, we wish you a happy birthday, we wish you a happy birthday and another great year. Happy birthday, Woz. It's an honor to call you a friend. And here's hoping that you live to 111 years old. 'Cause I know how much you love your repeating digits. Woz loves music. He actually credits music for helping him form his values in his life. He often talks about how he listened to Bob Dylan, for instance, when they were in the garage as kids and he was working on the very first computers. He's continued to love music. He put on a music festival called the US Festival, one of the first giant large-scale festivals to be done since Woodstock. This was in the '80s. He's a massive supporter of songwriters. He loves lyrics, and you can tell what good taste he has because he loves this next musician. He's one of Woz's favorites, and he's one of my favorites I met Steve Poltz when I was 18 working in a coffee shop. He was singing in that coffee shop, and he helped me get my start in San Diego. He's been a longtime friend. He's toured all over the world with me, played in almost every band I've had. The amazing Steve Poltz. Hey Steve, it's your old pal Steve Poltz wishing you a happy birthday. Steve Wozniak ain't no quack, he's got the hack attack. He's gonna buy a shack with a bottle of cognac. Oh, Wozniak could hack an almanac and double back to the dental plaque of the Zodiac, 'cause he's an insomniac and a paranoiac about his telephone jack, having a panic attack. Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack, ack. 'Cause Woz is a lumberjack with a lumberjack's Luggage rack tied to his ballsack while destroying an electric Cadillac to turn back the wolf pack from the smokestack. Throwback like the Outback, shooting Kodak snapshot with the Bric-a-Brac Six-Flash Plaque Jack. Flapjack flashback, man, Wozniak ain't no megalomaniac. He's a stone cold Himalayan lilac trying to remember he is an amnesiac. Making loans like Freddie Mac in the pitch-black playback Prozac racetrack on the private jet tarmac because he's Steve Wozniak. He ain't no yellowjack towel rack stock buyback biofeedback maniac plumber's crack fishing stack running back power pack making a comeback free rack air attack ice pack Amtrak smoke rack crack whack whack. Quack, quack, quack, yackity yack, I don't talk back. E. Steve Wozniak, and 70 is the new 80, and Sharon and I want to wish you a happy birthday because we love you. Woz, happy birthday. I wish you all the best because, uh, what you've done to this world, it's to make it more beautiful. And I wish you to continue doing what you're doing, helping many people and giving happiness to everyone, because that's what you do. You make life beautiful. So Woz, happy birthday to you. Woz, happy birthday Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Thank you for everything, we love you. Wuz forever! Hello, Steve. I certainly never thought I would get the opportunity to Interact with you, much less have the pleasure and honor of wishing you a very, very happy birthday. You know, now that I'm faced with the opportunity to interact with someone who has impacted my life and the lives of this entire planet, I don't really know what to say. I heard that you like Big Bang Theory. That's awesome. We like. Thank you very much, and happy birthday! I'm really, um, just thrilled and honored to celebrate with you. Um, and thank you for all the good work that you do. I know it feels like an understatement, but happy birthday! This is amazing to get to say that to you. Happy birthday, Woz. Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, dear Steve. Happy birthday to you. This is Olivia Newton-John wishing you a happy, happy 70th and welcome to the club. It all gets better from here. Hello, Waz. This is Alan from Cirque du Soleil, now competing at America's Got Talent Season 15. I was literally just hanging around the house and I just found out that it's your birthday today, so I just want to do this video to wish you a happy birthday. Hope you're having an amazing day today. Wish you nothing but the best and a big hug from me. Enjoy your day and happy birthday. Helping those that you're able to help is the most important thing ever. It is something that has meant a lot to me my whole life. There are millions of other people that do a lot of good things, put in a lot of effort, and don't get the recognition as easily as some of us. So I'd like to introduce you to Ryan. Ryan, you're going to learn, has spent his whole life doing one good thing after another. Well, it all started with tennis. What we set out to do, because there was a huge need, was to teach children not only how to hit a tennis ball, but how to master their relationships with themselves, with their diet, with their sleep, but more importantly, with their parents, with their friends, with their emotions. People that are at a disadvantage don't want to be given free things. They want to be given tools so they can feel empowered. The Inspiring Children Foundation is the only charity I've ever run across in my entire life that looks at a foundation from that perspective. The only things the foundation gives the children is a psychology for life, an ability to be mindful and be aware of your thoughts, and an entrepreneurial skill set so that they can understand how to be an architect of a life. I just wanted to create everything that I wish I had as a kid. They teach you math and science, but they don't teach you about how to master your inner self. We set out to create the ultimate education and youth development program possible. Through Ryan and the Foundation, my father found gainful employment as a tennis coach, my mother has become involved in the program, and I was able to earn a scholarship to Villanova University. An absolute blessing in my life and the life of countless others. From flunking out of school, on the verge of suicide, to graduating with a 4.6 GPA and getting a full scholarship to college and being happier than I could have ever imagined. If I didn't join the Foundation, I would be a high school dropout. I mean, I never thought I would graduate from high school alone. I remember graduating from high school, my father came up to me and said, you know, we didn't think you would graduate from high school. You know, and I'm driving down the street and I got my college acceptance letter and I'm like, I'm going to school, right? I graduated high school, I'm going to school, I'm going to college and I'm going to graduate college. I'm going to do something that my family's never done. If not for the foundation, it would have never happened. This organization is giving youth the tools to really become the best they can be in every area of life. The Inspiring Children Foundation created an algorithm that learned to invest in what people call at-risk Youth to help them become incredibly meaningful contributors to society. The numbers do not lie. This program had triple-digit scholarships for these kids to Ivy Leagues, to Stanford. I've met them, I've been to Vegas. Each one of these kids is humble, is grateful, is positive, is hardworking. More importantly than the college placement, which I'd say is one of our greatest achievements, is a sense of confidence. We spent 15 years trying to create the ultimate environment for youth development and for child education, and our hope is that we can revolutionize the way that children are educated. So not only can they heal whatever trauma or conflict they're in, but they can become anything that they want to be. And most important, we emphasize the importance of community. We're a community. That, that anything isn't something just material, but that it incorporates a peace of mind and a happiness that will be with them deep down inside for the rest of their lives. Thank you. Thanks was for making. The world's brighter through things you're creating that we need but never knew. Yeah. You know, it is in every day. Someone will show us all the way. Shining a light on cloudy days. We somehow find what has blown our minds. We somehow find what has blown our minds. Waz has blown our minds. Happy birthday, Waz. Hey, Steve, Marty Stuart here coming to you from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. Hear it's your birthday, man. Happy birthday. I hope you have a wonderful day. Hope everything is shining in your world. I'm sure it is. Well, I hear you're a fan of the song Three Chiefs from the Badlands record. They wanted me to do it. Jewel asked me to do it for you, but Man, it's 10 minutes and 22 seconds I take up out of your party. I'll come see you and sing it in person sometimes. Meanwhile, have a great day from all of us here in Nashville. We love you and we thank you for everything you do. God bless you, my friend. Hey Steve, Buddy Miller here wishing you happy birthday. The day we met at a lunch with Steve Fishel, you shared your contact page with me with your Huge phone number collection. 516-666-6666. I don't know what it was. 212-222-2222. I was so impressed with that. Someone collected phone numbers. But many years later, I was more impressed. I had a heart attack on the road when I was out with Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin, Sean Colvin. And a triple bypass when I was out of town, and a care package came from you to me and my wife. One of the things, I still have them, of course, 2 pairs, not one, of TV spectacles. There's a picture of me using them in bed on there, which is what I— as a matter of fact, I can't go anywhere without them. They are indispensable. If I walk in a really strange position, all I can see is my feet. We still wear them, and, and you sent me 2 tablets of $2 bills. I still have some of one left. You said they'd be helpful in the hospital as tips for the nurses. You were correct, but I've stopped giving them out. I'm just scared of getting arrested. I still don't understand this. I know you've explained it to me many times. I'm sorry, Mario. Many times. You are a kind-hearted genius. Love you. Happy birthday. This is a Tom T. Hall song I've been singing for over 50 years. It's kind of about following your heart, which you have no problem doing. If you love somebody enough, you follow them wherever they go. That's how I got to Memphis. That's how I got to Memphis. And if you love somebody enough, then you go where your heart needs to go. That's how I got to Memphis. That's how I got to Memphis. I know if you'd seen her, you'd tell me 'cause you are my friend. I gotta find her and find out the trouble she's in. If you tell me That she isn't here. I followed by the trail of her tears. That's how I got to Memphis. That's how I got to Memphis. Oh, that's how I got to Memphis. That's how I got to Memphis. Happy birthday, Steve. Oh, Mr. Wozniak, Saida Garrett here. I'm wishing you a very happy 70th birthday. You know, my song Man in the Mirror has inspired countless people to make this world a better place simply by starting to make a change within themselves. You, my dear, are a true man in the mirror. You've been so kind and humble and generous, and you bring happiness to so many. And that really is the hope of the song, to inspire others to do just that, to be a man in the mirror just like you, Steve. So I'm a songwriter. My gift is song. Allow me to give you a little gift. I'm starting with the man in the mirror. I'm asking him to change his ways. And no message could have been any clearer. If you wanna make the world a better place, so take a look at yourself and then make a change. Happy birthday, Steve! Thank you again to Janet for coming up with this incredible idea. And in the Inspiring Children Foundation, we do an unusual school model where they do online curriculum for probably 8 hours a week, and all the rest is project-driven learning where they learn to do things. They build businesses, they do all the cleaning, they do the video editing for the foundation, they do making the posters. And so Janet really wanted our kids We wanted our kids to be the ones that organized this concert, so everything you're seeing was done by our kids. Cheryl's just a really special person. I'll probably cry because, you know, some people are very lucky. Cheryl hasn't been the luckiest person in the world, but she has just— she's pushed through everything and she just does the right thing every day no matter what. I mean, she's gone through things that I've And she has just persevered and didn't give up. And I just think, you know, a lot of people would just give up. It's important that people don't give up. And to me, you know, when she got— when she got her Stanford scholarship, I was so proud of her. I started really crying. Like worse than I am today. You and Woz are two of like the most special people that I have ever met, and I feel like everything that you said articulated it so well. You both are just filled with like so much love and joy and kindness, and above all else, you guys just love to do the right thing. And just to be a part of your life and to have you you involved in my life has been such a gift to be able to, I think, share in that joy and magic of life with you. This project has been really cool for me because honestly, more than, oh, a fundraiser for the foundation, it's been for me an opportunity to share like the love that I have for both you and Woz and everything that you guys represent. and stand for in my life and in so many other people's lives. I love my husband at a completely different level. I love everything about him, and he brings so much joy to my life that I want to do this party for other people to see, you know, how much joy he brings to the world. And I know the things he loves. He loves magic, he loves music, he loves Comedy, and so we just tried to weave those parts through this. And like if I think in his mind he has no idea what who all is going to be there. He knows there's going to be some event, and he knows Jewel's involved in it. So he probably thinks, you know, oh my gosh, we're going to get to go to a Jewel concert. He has no idea who's going to come and who's going to talk to him, and he I he's going to cry more than I will. cry because these are all his friends. Hey, Mr. Computer Man, design a chip for me. Make it one instead of needing 33. Hey, Mr. Computer Man, design a chip for me. Make it big and color so my old eyes can see. Hey, Mr. Computer Man, design a chip for me. Make it big and color so my old eyes can see. To close this evening where we celebrate Waz, we put together a video that exemplifies his contributions and his spirit. When you are in the state that I'm talking about. What from the former point of view would have appeared to be nothing more than ordinary everyday life is suddenly seen to be a magical process. I mean, it's all there— infinity in the grain of sand and everything. That's it. A lot of people think, is it destiny? Are you born a certain way? Was I born creative? Was I born an engineer? And I say no. I think it's just little influences, accidental things you bump through in your life. I stumbled into a journal about digital computer topics. I told myself, I don't know what a computer is, but I know this is This is what leads to it, and this is going to be my passion for life. It's going to be the most interesting thing I do. It wasn't sort of like—it wasn't like an intelligence that can lead you towards the right path. It was just being very free. I was—I had the freedom because I was only doing it for myself. Right over here, we've got the very first computer we ever built. And eventually Steve Jobs came into town and he saw it and he said, let's start a company. The booth was just a little tiny table, Apple I, and a little brochure we'd done, a little ad we'd done for it. Introducing Apple II, the easy-to-operate home computer. Just hook it up to your TV to create dazzling color displays. It's called Apple II, the personal computer. The Apple computer, and led to a quarter billion How does it feel? Ah, how does it feel to be on your own with no direction? Oh, like a complete unknown. This is number a million of the Apple IIs, and that'll probably seem small in a couple years. He got me invested in some kind of fruit company, and so then I got a call from him saying we don't have to worry about money no more, and I said, that's good. There were about 5 people identified in that category that just hadn't been compensated, and they were such a key part to what had happened. And each of them, I think I gave them a large amount of stock. I don't know, it's like if I deserved to be this successful financially, then so did they. They were a part of it. This will be the stage right here. This is the stage right here. Originally, the idea was just do a major rock country-oriented concert somewhere in the western states. But from that, the idea of, hey, we can show people how computers and technology are bringing people closer together. I think it's going to be the most exciting concert I've ever been to. You can go your own way, go your own way. You can call it another lonely day. Something you know I'll remember all my life. You've all been a part of history tonight. We want to thank you for making this a great, great, great evening. So I'm going to put the ring up here, and sometimes when I get excited, I forget to put a hand underneath to catch it. In those cases, it's not your big ego and your big will that is the strong thing here. It's your slobbiness, it's your weakness, it's your foolish side that is your strong suit here. Imaginative people show their consciousness of it because they're not ordinary. They have imagination. And they're not hiding under an attempt to conform to the ideal of being ordinary. You can go your own way. You know, where you can go into the deep, most trivial everyday affairs as containing the entire secret of the universe because they have an atmosphere of magic. Thank you for creating an atmosphere of humility, gratitude, kindness, and love, and we are so grateful for you And your beautiful life. I love you deeply. We all love you, and thank you for sharing your magic with us. Where happiness equals smiles minus frowns, laughter is the most beautiful sound. What's the point if it isn't fun? Get nothing done without passion. Oh, that's the Watts. He likes math tricks and gadgets, Raspberry Pi projects. He made a camera that detects hummingbirds. 3 kids and 7 grandkids. Oh, he loves taking road trips. He'd give you the shirt off his back, you just say the word. Who was his dad? Everything he could ever want, including honorary doctoral degree. So on his birthday, don't email. No gifts, please, as well. Please donate to his favorite charity, 'cause happiness equals smiles minus tears. Laughter is the most beautiful sound. What's the point if it isn't fun? Get nothing done without passion. Oh, that's the Woz. He invented the personal computer, pouring his Remember when he was on Dancing with the Stars? And on Big Bang Theory? And on Celebrity Watch Party? You can clearly see Woz's tender heart is on display. And he's proud of being a geek. And he feels so lucky to be a geek. 'Cause Janet loves him every minute of every day. Ooh, never broken. He loves inspiring children to be the kindest, most passionate they can be. He's always got time for fans, so if you can lend a hand, please donate to his favorite charity. Because happiness equals smiles minus frowns, and laughter is the most beautiful sound. What's the point if it isn't fun? You get nothing done without passion. Oh, that's the one. Oh, that's the worst. That's the worst. Oh, oh, that's the worst. That's the worst.
