EP 215: If Your Vision Doesn't Scare You, It's Too Small
22 Jun 2026 · 31 min
Mark Evans hosted 25 high-performers at his farm outside Cleveland and argues most people aren't limited by work ethic but by a vision problem. He pushes listeners to set audacious goals like impacting billions of children, kill their old self-identity, and rebuild purpose-driven visions that scale from personal wealth to global impact.

Welcome to the making of a DM. Oh, if you don't have what you want, it's not because it doesn't exist, it's because of something you're not doing because you're afraid. I'm gonna explain it in great detail today. So with that said, let's get started. What I know and how I did it to discover freedom. There ain't no question Mark Evans when he step in the door, he's closing deals. Time to tell them what the DM stand for. I'm a dealmaker, a dealmaker, but I'm not just a dealmaker, I'm a dreammaker. Hey there, it's your boy Mark Evans DM. That's right. You are the dealmaker dreammaker of your life. As I sit here in beautiful outside of Cleveland, Ohio, in the treehouse. You may hear some birds chirping, some leaves rumbling around here. We've got some deer, turkey, and squirrels running around like crazy today. It's a beautiful, beautiful morning. I have a big show to share with you today. I'm just coming off of 2-day private event at my farm outside of Cleveland, Ohio. We had 25 people come in from all over the country. So many different types of business models, from people that have 9-figure trucking companies to individuals that have hundreds of thousands of followers on social media trying to figure out how to maximize and monetize at the next level, make impact, to an individual has a Pokémon, uh, fund with over $10 million, to another individual raising capital for real estate. To another individual that has a large multi-million dollar chiropractic firm. Not only that, has an amazing system to scale and grow any type of chiropractic firm and everything else in between. First off, before I get started and dive into this, this will be about a 30-minute show or so, I'm guessing. But I just want to say, keep going, keep going. If you're going through that time where it's hard and it's struggling, and if you're not, I'm worried about that as well. But if it doesn't challenge you, remember, it doesn't change you. Not only that, thank you to everyone that's messaging me all the time, like, yo, when's the next show coming out? Hey man, I appreciate a 5-star review. Sharing it, tagging me. Thank you so much. It means a lot. There's— obviously I have no advertisements here. We talk about the DealMaker Alliance and DealMaker family once in a while. If I have a private event, you know, those tickets are expensive. They're $5,000, and that's going to go up. I've only— that's the first one I've done in the last 3 years. And the value in the room and the conversations are worth way more than that. I mean, shit, I spent recently $20,000 to go to a room for 8 hours, met 15, 16 other people. It was epic. Made multiple, multiple conversations. And more importantly, learned a lot. As I sit in that room with 25 individuals the last couple days, I can't help to think that we don't have a hardworking problem. You're a hard worker. You do the work. You're not afraid of the work. It's a vision problem. Many people have a vision problem. If I asked you, what's the number one thing you want to accomplish in the next 5 years? What is the answer? If I ask you what your days look like to accomplish that, are they aligned with that big vision? It reminds me back in 1996, my big ginormous vision was how do I make $100,000 a year? That was my vision. Therefore, I found the path and I was willing to do the work. But yet there's millions, tens of millions, hundreds of millions, and billions of dollar paths all around me. Have you ever asked yourself Where did your crazy vision come from even? Have you ever thought that you actually suppress truly the information that you know in your brain that you want to do, but you're embarrassed to share it out loud? You talk down to yourself. You say negative things to yourself. You don't share it with positive people. If you ever share your vision with a negative person, you know exactly what I mean. Even if it's someone closest to you, but your vision is in— it's literally implanted in your brain and made up. Have you ever thought everything you have at this very moment, right now, good or bad, and everything in between. The cars you wanted, the houses you wanted, the life you've wanted, the kids you've wanted, the family you want, all this stuff, your health, everything. Do you know there's one common denominator in every single thing that I just mentioned? It's you. What's your big vision for your health? What's your big vision for your business? What's your big vision for your personal life? Being a dad, a husband, a wife, a brother, a sister, a cousin, an uncle, a giver to the community, giver to the world. What is your big vision? How much is in your bank account? What is your net worth? What does your giving muscle look like? How big is it? Every single person listening to my voice right now. My vision for you is that whatever your big grand vision of getting is, that ultimately becomes your giving. If you want to make $100 million, my vision— because I want to give billions of dollars, not just with my money but with others like you— that you make so much more. You get a way bigger vision that you ultimately— your vision that you're sitting right now with becomes what you give on the journey of life to charity organizations and things you care about. Do you truly believe in abundance? As I sit in this room with 25 people that invested money and time to be in that room Some are doing very big numbers and some not so big numbers. At least $500,000 a year minimum, by the way. But that's not big. They've been doing it 10 years, grinding it out. Listen, when I started in 1996, to do that was definitely— it was a harder game. Why? We didn't have free marketing. We didn't have— literally, I could do one post today and it could go viral and I could get massive eyeballs. Create massive revenue quickly. Your vision— when I hear the pain that some of these individuals in that room were dealing with, it's made up. It's part of the process. What do I mean? Well, let's use health. Let's say a guy named John— making this up— he's 220 pounds, he wants to lose 10 pounds. It's hard for him to lose 10 pounds. But if John said, I want to lose 40 pounds and I want to add 10 pounds of muscle and I want to look like this, I want to reshape my body, What he's dealing with that's hard to lose 10 now becomes part of the process to lose 40. It's easier. All this stuff we do to ourself is self-inflicted. Your abundance muscle is not so abundant when you sketch out these visions. You know what you want to write on that piece of paper. You know what you want to say out loud, but you're so afraid to say it because you might get made fun of. You might not think it's possible. You don't know how to do it. But isn't that the point? If you knew how to do it, you would already be doing it. People I work with, it's okay to say this: set unrealistic expectations and visions and goals. The average person, I can't tell that. Why? Well, they just don't care about this stuff, that's why. And that's the majority, unfortunately. I'm not knocking it, it's the reality. I'm a small town, from a 650-person town outside of Columbus, Ohio, in a township where I never met anybody made more than $100,000 in my entire life up to that point at 18, ever. If you had something nice, you were bad. If you talked a big game, you're a liar. My parents, my uncles, my people in my circle, they weren't doing that to hurt people. That's just what they did. They didn't know better. As I started getting around these individuals that are crushing life financially, physically, personally, all these things, I start realizing these are some good people. Damn, they work different. They work hard just like my mom and dad, but they work hard and smart. Listen, at the end of the day, you're going to work hard no matter what. Why not work on hard on something massive? Speaking of massive, the first on paper that people know about— by the way, there's multiple people this way— but the first person we know about has— is worth a trillion dollars. That whole SpaceX thing just came about. Elon Musk now over a trillion dollars. Do you understand what that means? I think like, what, a million— put it in dollars, like seconds. A million seconds is like 3.5 days. $100 million is like— I, I forget the number. It's like something crazy. But a trillion dollars It's like 33,000 years or something crazy like that. You can't fathom it. And as I went to bed last night hearing the news, obviously I've been thinking about it because I'm in that little circle of people that's known about this for a long, long time. You think Elon Musk is celebrating? You think he went out partying with his buddies? Because he hit a trillion dollars? I would bet you he did not. He's probably said, now it's time to get to work. Now we know that's possible. What's next? And as I sit in that room with these 25 individuals talking about big vision, big vision, I see some that grasp it. And I see some that don't, and I used to be the don't one. I was scared to say it out loud. And then I start wondering, okay, well, that's, that's the surface level stuff. I see the surface level. What is the root cause of this? You know what it is? We have to kill the old version of ourself. Like I said, we're the common denominator of everything we have. Every relationship that's good or bad, that's us. Every financial decision, good or bad, that's us. The way we look in the mirror, that's us. Humans are pattern-driven. We, we fall in patterns all the time. There was an individual in there, an amazing person, a female, and she said, I don't care about my hair and nails. And I called bullshit. I've never met a female that doesn't care about their hair and nails. I've met many people that lie and say they don't care because they've given up on themselves. They've lied to themselves so much that they actually believe the lie. Who in their right mind doesn't care about looking good, feeling good, and presenting themselves better? Who? No one. It's a lie. And I'm not going to say you have to get your nails done every day and your hair done every day and be dolled up 24/7. I'm not saying that. But to say something like that out loud is absolutely absurd. But it shows me with who— again, she's investing. You realize all the time you're 100% up with yourself, 100% of the time. You can't get away from you and the way you talk to yourself, the stories you create to yourself. You could say whatever you want, but I could look at you and hear you of what you talk about, how you talk, what you look like, what you stand for, and what you're doing to know exactly who you are. And I'm not the only one that knows that. There's many people that do. And that's not judging it, it's genuinely understanding. If someone wants to grow but they're constantly 10 years deep in the same situation, same story, same problem, Same issues, same financial— everything's the same, but it's 10 years later. It's not the thing, it's the story that you've created in your mind that constantly pulls you to or from this— to or from the situation. Now, I could write down goals all day. I want to be a billionaire, I want to be a billionaire, but all my actions, all my conversations, all my investing decisions— I want to have the biggest, best body, I want to look good, I want to be healthy, but all the decisions, I'm at the bar, I'm drinking beer, I'm eating tacos, whatever I'm eating, the story, the actions don't align with the thing I'm saying I want. Who doesn't want a better body? Who doesn't want more money? We all do. So why doesn't everyone have it? I always got that all the time in real estate. Dude, if it's so easy, why isn't everyone rich? Bitch, it takes work. It takes a lot of deprogramming. To go out there and make an offer on a million-dollar property with no money down, with your owner financing at 3% interest, to take over a dog that has a lot of fleas, to get in there and ground pound the property to get it up to par, 7 months of your life, you know, a lot of hard work, and then refinance out and then extract your cash and redo it over. The average person's not willing to do that. But you're not average, so let's stop having average results, average outcomes, average conversations. If you truly have that big vision, you've killed the old self. Now we got to build on purpose. Stop out here willy-nilling, dicking around. I did this for 15 years. I wish someone told me what I'm telling you. Oh, so do I wish. People around me were like, dude, you're crushing it. Huh? In my mind, I'm like, I want to do more. Wait, maybe I am crushing it. Is that my ego? As my boy Bobby always says, your ego is not your amigo. Where would I be if someone told me, Mark, what you're doing is great with where you're at, but it will never get you to where you want to go? Your investing philosophy, your decision-making process, your execution manner, who you're doing it with, and most importantly, why Are you doing it just for the money? Really? For the impact, for the growth, for yourself, for your team? Why? Yeah, man, I want to leave a legacy for my kids. You don't even have kids yet. And if you do, your kids don't care about your legacy. You care more about it than they do. They want their dad. They want their mom. Different season, different vision. Bigger. Be on purpose. Kill your old self. Kill it. When you're building this stuff, there's different levels to the game, right? Am I building this to feed myself and that's it? Cool. Am I building this to feed myself and my family? Cool, cool. Am I building this to feed myself, my family, my community? Okay, now we're getting somewhere. Am I building this to feed myself, family, community, maybe state? Now we're starting to talk. Am I feeding myself, feeding the family, feeding the community, feeding the state, feeding the country? Huh, now I got to really start thinking different. Take it one step further. Feed myself, feed my family, feed my community, feed the state, feed the country, and feed the world. You must become a different person in every one of those segments. The same person that's feeding yourself only can never feed the world or the community for that matter. You're too selfish. But I don't want to hire anybody. Selfish. Selfish. But I'm abundant. Bullshit. You're a talker. You like to say that out loud, but your actions, more importantly, your results 1,000% are not abundant in any way, shape, or form. But Mark, I'm all in. How are you all in when you have $200,000 in the bank, you have some production going on, and it's just you and your spouse doing all the work? You're a liar. You're not all in. You're pussyfooting around. You know it. I know it. What are you really scared of? Losing money? Well, I've lost money, you've lost money, we've all lost money. We're still here. We learn from it, we grow from it. If you want to just feed yourself, be selfish, don't do anything, do all the hard work, miss your kids' sporting events, do all this shit, think you're a big dog— you're not. You're hanging out, you're the king of the dipshits at that point. By the way, there's king of the dipshits in all these levels. Don't be one. Build a bigger vision. There was an individual in the room, an amazing 21-year-old individual, has 100— and call it 90,000 followers on social media. Speaks all across America, all across the world for that matter, at these schools, changing kids' lives, saving children from suicide and terrible things happening in their life. He's speaking positivity, love yourself, and do all these things. Like, there's nothing negative with this conversation. And we're like, what do you want to do? He said, I want to I want to impact 50,000 hearts. Almost fell out of my chair. I'm like, what are you talking about? 50,000? Not just me, everyone else thought the same thing. I'm like, dude, you're doing that already every week with your social media reach. He's like, yeah, but in person. I'm like, well, you know that there's stadiums that hold over 50,000 people where he could speak once and accomplish that goal. He's working hard. He's at 30,000 live attendees at his events so far, and it's first, first or second week of June, second or third week of June now. I'm not knocking it, but that's nothing on the grand scheme of things. My next question was, cool, how many children are there in the world? He's, I'm not sure. Well, let's start there. There's 2.4 billion. Billion kids that we can make an impact with because he wants to impact children. Obviously there's an age demographic thing there, but there's at least a billion, 4 billion and a half kids 12 and above, 12 to 18. He's working hard. He's dealing with big challenges in his brain, but they're small challenges if you go bigger. It's not a challenge, it's part of the process. We gave them a direct roadmap of how to generate, make $500,000 and get $500,000 in contributions, go around the country for 365 days, speak at 8 different locations per month, 96 different loc— excuse me, what is that, 12, 9, a lot of locations, 108 locations in the year minimum. And that's just manual work. That's the manual piece. But it gets better. Every local radio and TV station, he'll be interviewing on, speaking and talking, connecting with individuals. Not only that, he has this beautiful thing that I did not have when I was his age. It's called social media, i.e., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, all this shit. It's amazing. You could follow him along anywhere in the world. You could make Watch him, talk to him, listen to him, see him, be inspired by him, share him. He's going to impact millions, tens of millions, hundreds of millions, and the goal is 1.4 billion. When you start talking shit like that, you start getting big people to listen, big names listening, big money coming to you, big eyeballs. No one gets inspired like, I'm going to impact 50,000 lives. Cool, but that's a small vision for where you can go. There's no cap on this shit except in our mind. But he's sitting in the room And literally the light bulb went off. I promise you this, in the next 30 days this individual raised over $500,000 through a charitable structure. He didn't even know what a, what a charitable structure was. Boom, guy sitting right beside you, Alex, Alex, get with them. Boom, he's a lawyer, set it up. Boom, now you have that. Next, what's your next— he didn't even know it was a problem. Because it's not a problem. He didn't even know it existed. It's a stepping stone to get to the solution, to get to the result. Now he's going to have that step onto that stone. Now he can take them funds, tax donation, raise over $500,000. Why $500 grand? Because that's what it's going to take to get to the bus, to go to the locations, to be on road for 365 days with him and his father. They're going to change kids' lives. They already are, but I'm talking at scale. And I'm talking guys like me and guys and gals listening to my voice right now, like you, should be supporting this kind of shit. I don't care if it's $1 or $5 million. Why? Because they need our help. That's our duty. That's like driving by a lemonade stand and not stopping. If you do not stop by a lemonade stand and support that young entrepreneur, you will never ever be happy or successful, ever. And I don't care if you have money in the bank, that's not success. I'm talking true happiness. When you look at a child in the eye and say, listen, here's $100, keep up the great work, I love what you're doing, keep doing it, keep showing up. And when you don't want to, keep doing it, because that's what it takes. Are you willing to do that? If you're not, this is why you're not successful. Oh, it's $100, dude. It's $100, that's it. And if $100 is a lot, shame on you, because it's not a lot on the grand scheme of things. It's nothing. You're here for a very small moment in your life, and we got to start treating ourselves better. Start talking to ourselves better, start encouraging you to be more, do more, have more, get more, help more, accomplish more. You, my friend, are capable of any and everything you set your mind to. We told this individual, I'd rather have him shoot for a billion kids to connect with them, to incorporate people, bring on the A-players, bring on the big visionaries, bring on the big He will change his life just with one shift. If I'm standing on stage and saying, hey folks, I want to change 50,000 people's life, cool. And then the guy right next to me says, I'm going to change 1 billion people's lives and I need your help to accomplish that. Which one are you going with? I'm going with the billion. Why? If we fucking miss, we still do more than 50,000. Do you understand that? We didn't fail. And sometimes it takes longer. Actually, it always takes longer than we think. If you can't tell, I'm excited. Shit, I'm so excited I jumped out of my chair. I'm pacing my treehouse. I care so much about what you can accomplish, what I can accomplish, what we can accomplish as a unit. I'm shaking because it's there. It's now or never. If you don't do it now, when do you do it? There's two times to plant the tree: 25 years ago and right now. It's your time. You're not listening to this by accident. It's your time. Get in the game. More importantly, big vision game. No more Mickey Mouse. You want to hire A players? This is how you get them. You want to get big money behind you? This is how you get them with big conversations, big vision. I don't know how to do this shit. I need your help. Let's do it together. That's how you incorporate people in the game with you. That's how you get massive scale, massive buy-in, massive growth. I can't wait to share with you what we're building. It will impact millions of people's lives. Millions. Share this show. Connect with us. Me @MarkEvansDM on social media. Make sure you tag me when you share and let's go get this. It's your time. If not now, then when? Let me know how the show made an impact in your life today. Let me know how you're on track to do big shit. I'm in it with you. I'm right beside you. We all have problems. Do you want big problems or little problems? You are the common denominator. Let's kick butt. Make today count. Peace.
