In this video Mark Gillilan alerts retailers, clinics, acupuncture centers, pharmacies and wholesale partners that a new hemp regulation takes effect on December 11th, lowering the permissible THC limit from a percentage (<0.3%) to an absolute cap of 0.4 mg per container regardless of product size. He explains how this shift changes the way Certificates of Analysis (COAs) must be read—emphasizing total THC caps across all variants—and walks viewers through a calculator he posted on his site that automates the required math. Gillilan offers to review retailers’ product lines to ensure compliance and encourages anyone selling hemp products to reach out for assistance before the deadline.

Let's talk hemp products at retail today. It's a big one coming up soon with the changes. Wanted to just highlight something I just put together and published. If you're a retailer, you got a clinic, acupuncture clinic, pharmacy, any retail shop where you're selling hemp products, you definitely need to be aware of the change that's coming as of now on December 11th. So the rules changing from less than 0.3% Down to 0.4 milligrams per container. So it's a, a much lower threshold. Containers are different sizes, doesn't matter what size it is, doesn't matter how much product is in there. 0.4 milligrams per container is the new rule. I put together a new post on our site that has a calculator, runs through all of the numbers, all of the math. What's really changing with this is how you read a certificate of analysis. So I go into depth on how best to read a certificate of analysis with these new numbers, the different lines that now become a lot more important since it is a total cap, so all of the different variants. So things are changing in that regard, so you really need to familiarize yourself with how to read a COA now. And the new numbers, and I run through it all. Got a calculator built in. If you're a retailer that's selling hemp products, or you know anybody that is, send them our way. I'm going through all of our current wholesale partners right now with them just to talk through how to read a COA, just giving some education, because once that December 11th passes, it's going to be up to every retailer to make sure that the products that they have on their shelves are compliant. So if you want me to take a look at what you've got, just drop a comment below and I can help you out.
