Mark Hamilton tells college students to skip traditional paths and build an audience around what they love instead. Mr. Hamilton, what advice would you give to college students?
Get out of college. Okay, that's going to be my advice. Now I'm going to give you a little background as to why I'm telling you this. College is no longer what it used to be, a college education. And therefore, your jobs just aren't as good getting out of college. In fact, they're not good at all, to be quite honest with you. The reason for this is that today we no longer become an expert in our major or our field. Instead, we become an expert at finding the answers we need for our essays, our homework, our tests, using AI, using Chegg ChatGPT. You get the picture. So you don't really become an expert in your field of knowledge. You become good at technology and answering what you need to answer. So when you get out of college, the good jobs are just not there for us. Most of the time, kids don't even get any job that relates to their major. So get out of college. Now, I'm going to give you a way to get out of college. In fact, I'm going to throw it out there. I'm going to call it the College Challenge. The College Challenge.
