A short motivational YouTube monologue by Mark Hamilton defining the concept of "Friday night essence": the productive activity you would happily do on a Friday night. The speaker argues that finding such work indicates your true life's ambition—the activity your younger self would have loved—and invites listeners to reflect and share with the community.

Friday Night Essence Being Friday, I want us all to take a few minutes to reflect on our lives and to recall my writings about finding our Friday night essence. Your Friday night essence is the productive activity that you would actually enjoy doing on a Friday night, which is typically the night our minds would be furthest away from productive activities beginning way back in childhood. During our school years, studies and homework were the furthest things from our thoughts on Friday nights. Friday nights were our turn off and tune out nights that carried on in adulthood with Friday nights as the start of the recreational weekend. So on Friday nights we typically kick back and take a break from our productivity, from school and from work. Now, I'm not saying we shouldn't celebrate Friday nights in such a way indeed that value, reflection time is good and valuable. What I am saying is once you find productive work you love so much that you could happily spend your Friday night doing it and loving it, well, then you've found something special. You've found a productive path that you would love doing for the rest of your life. You have found your individual essence and once you have found your Friday night essence, you have found your life's ambition. The life the child of the past would love living. Yes, the life you were meant to live. Let's spend some time today and this evening pondering, perhaps searching for your Friday night essence. And please share your thoughts with our community, our soulmates on this journey. Thank you and have a happy weekend. My ascenders.
