Mark Hamilton - Lengthening The Growth Cycles

Mark Hamilton argues for doubling the length of life's five growth cycles: childhood, apprenticeship, achievement, mentoring, and legacy. Longer cycles would mean more time to develop skills, parent deeply, and mentor others without needing to solve immortality.
Understanding about the growth cycles in our lives and.
How it would be to grow and develop and enjoy those cycles twice as long, just keeping it twice as long, starting in childhood and having twice as long to develop and to gain our education and learn to really set us up for success and happiness in life.
And your young adult years are sort of like your apprentice years, that growth cycle. And what if we could have twice as long in our apprentice years again, developing.
Our skills and our talents and our integrated thinking to build success puzzles. And then what about in our adult years, our accomplishment achievement years? If we had twice as long accomplishing and achieving, what could we do with twice that time? And then of course, our mature adult years, where we develop and we have all this wisdom and this ability to be a teacher, which is so extraordinarily rewarding and a mentor.
That growth, that growth period. What if we could double that growth period? And then of course, in old age, this other growth period where we learn really how sort of take a philanthropic look at life and how to help others and leave our legacy that's going to benefit mankind. Well, what if we could develop that? See, everyone really wants to experience all five of those growth cycles. So what I am saying is, what if we can experience all five? We won't cut any out, but what if we double the length of each of those? The perspective from you yourself would be, yes, indeed, I would love to double. It gets rid of the bigger, overwhelming question about living forever. And as a parent, you would also say, oh, yes, I would love that. I would love seeing my child to be best prepared for major success in life. I'd love to see him double his. His education time and his learning curve and his apprenticeship. I'd love to see that. I'd love to double my time with my child and the enjoyment that we have together. It goes by so fast. You blink and they're in high school, then they have their driver's license and then you don't see them much anymore, they're gone.
