Wayfair, every style, every home. Hello everyone, and thank you so much for joining me on another episode of Canny Crystals, the podcast. So this week, if you've been following along, I was supposed to have been joined by Kirstie Gallagher, the award-winning author of Crystals for Self-Care and Lunar Living, but unfortunately she cancelled the night before the recording took place. Ah! So I've had to quickly come up with an idea for an episode and run with it. So major apologies if you find this episode a little bit shit, but I just wanted to say a massive get well soon to Kirstie as well, and hopefully we'll arrange something for the very near future. So yeah, here we are practically into the middle of December. I can't believe there's only 3 weeks until the end of the month. Where has this year gone? I just don't get it. Anyway, it's absolutely crazy as well when I look at my vision board because I created this on the 1st of January this year, and I think, let me count, there's 13 things on there, and I'm looking at right now, there's 13 things on there, and 11 of those 13 things they've actually come to fruition and they've happened. So I'm definitely going to revisit that in the new year and update. And also, speaking of the year flying by, can you believe that it's next weekend that I take me mam and her sisters to see ABBA for her 60th birthday? I just feel like it was only 2 minutes ago that I booked it. And I think this will be when I give her, you know, the Canny Crystals contract as well, and I'm going to retire her. So if you've listened to the last few episodes, you'll know all about this. So yeah, I'm very, very excited about this for next weekend. So anyway, because this is a bit of an emergency episode, I was going to give you all a quick update and pretty much a shout out as well to Z at Z to Zen, because if you've been listening along recently, you'll know that a few weeks ago I interviewed her for the pod and she offered me a private reading to say thanks. And oh my God, let's get into this, because while the reading took place, I I had goosebumps, I had tears in me eyes, I was shaking, you know, the lot. There were some things that she told me that had literally just happened that very morning that I hadn't even told people about. Let me tell you, it was wild. But I'm here for it all, I'm down for it. I was a believer anyway, but even if I wasn't, the things that she told is— they would have made me believe, do you know what I mean? So Like, I knew that she was good, but I guess I just had to experience it for myself. So anyway, cut to like 15 minutes before I jumped on the call with her. I was doing my tapping routine like I do most mornings, and in it I say something along the lines of, you know, it's part of the scripting. I say, I'm open to new possibilities of income and money. I'm open and aligned to new money-making opportunities and collaborations with other like-minded individuals and businesses. And literally, as I took me deep breath at the end, I remember looking up and for some reason me eyes just caught the bookshelf on the wall opposite where my desk faces. Now on this bookshelf, these are my personal books, okay? So I've got everything from autobiographies of people like, you know, Sarah Davies from Dragon's Den, Vicky Patterson's The Secret to Happy, uh, what else is up there? Fearne Cotton's Bigger Than Us, you know, all the way to self-help spiritual books like The 4-Hour Workweek, Gabrielle Bernstein's Super Attractor, Amanda Francis's Rich as Fuck. You get the drift. And something that I noticed as I just finished my tapping was that all of the spiritual type books have the same logo on the side, and it's the Hay House logo. So you might have heard of Hay House before, but they're a book publisher. They were founded by Louise Hay. She died just a few years ago, rest her soul. And suddenly I had this thought of, you know, wouldn't it be amazing if I could take all of this, all of this knowledge, what I blab to you lot about on the pod, and share it with the world in a book? And that just came to me as like a kind of off-the-cuff, you know, thought at the end of my tapping. Now, I don't know if this was because of the tapping from me saying about being open to, you know, new money-making ideas and opportunities or what, but I just opened up my web browser on my computer and I started Googling something along the lines of Hey House Book Submissions. That's all it was. And there was a whole webpage about submitting a synopsis for a book, and it was quite in-depth, don't get me wrong. The synopsis had to be around 500 words, there had to be, you know, a working title for the book, etc., etc. So I started eagerly bashing away and typing what I wanted the book to be about, and I wrote a really brief and abridged version of what I'd want it to be around, basically. And I think ultimately it would be around, you know, my journey into spirituality, but and also touching on different practices to help with manifestation, what I've found to be useful along the way, such as, you know, crystals, tapping, meditation, gratitude, vision boards, all that jazz in one book. I just think it would be a really bloody good book, to be honest. Don't know if I'm blowing my own trumpet, but hey-ho. So anyway, 15 minutes later, there I am. I'm sharply approaching my 500-word limit, and as I did, I finished the last word and I looked down and it said zero words remaining. It was literally dot on 500 words. So I hit submit and I got an email to say that they'll let you know within a month whether or not they'll pursue the idea. Job's a good'un, you know. So how do you think I felt when I jumped on the call with Z 15 minutes later and one of the first things out of her mouth is, are you trying to get a book deal with Hay House? Honestly, I've got fucking goosebumps again, like right now. Oh my God, I've got tears in my eyes. How did she know? There is literally nowhere on this earth that she could have known. I had literally just had the confirmation email 15 minutes before. I hadn't told anyone. I hadn't been on the phone to anyone. I'd literally sat in my office and used that 15 minutes, you know, to make a cup of tea, to, um, set my microphone up, put my headphones on, to get onto the platform where I was going to be like speaking to her and stuff. I honestly don't know how she did it. I literally just had the confirmation email, hadn't told anyone. It was just a total off-the-cuff idea that I had. And I think the thing that blew my mind the most, and I tried to get my head around this, was did that idea of applying for the book come to me because I knew through intuition what Z was going to ask me, or on the flip side, did she pick up on that because of my action of submitting the book? And it's kind of the chicken and egg, what came first scenario, isn't it? I love to think about stuff like that. It's such a headfuck, and it's like something that we'll never ever know the— basically like the ins and outs of, do you know what I mean? Like, was that me picking up on her going to ask it and that's what made me come up with the idea, or was it the tapping where the idea came from? We'll never know. Anyway, she said that she could see my name on this book that the book was a kind of bluey-green turquoise color, and she could see the Hay House logo. And this wasn't a conventional book on spirituality. She said that I would kind of, you know, inverted commas, break the mold, so to speak, with the way that I describe things, how I do certain rituals, how I use crystals, all that jazz. And she said it would ultimately usher in a new clientele for me and bring in a new wave of people and a new wave of spirituality. So I think from the second she said all that, I was like, you know what, this girl is fire. How could she have possibly known that I'd submitted that book synopsis? And what's more, I'm going to have a book, y'all. So yeah, she went on to tell me other things that I've not discussed with anyone outside me house. For example, the fact that we're going to move house in the next couple of years, and the reason for this is to do with the fact that the schools around us are Pardon my French, shit. Um, and that's not just me being a snob, but to raise a kid, you want the best for them, right? And we live on this new build estate in the middle of Benwell in Newcastle. If you know the area, you'll know it well. And the surrounding area, to be put frankly, it's a bit of a fucking dump. Um, a 14-year-old boy, for example, got stabbed and died in a park by our estate a couple of months ago. Yeah, so no disrespect to the people of Benwell, but Jesus Christ. Um, so yeah, me and Johnny had this conversation last weekend when I was in Northern Ireland with him, and we were talking about the adoption process because we're starting that in January. And he said, not to be snobby, but I don't want to bring up a kid on our estate. And I said, no, I agree. And Z picked up on that. She said, you're going to move house based on a school that you want to send your kid to. Isn't that crazy? Like, we had just had that conversation last weekend, and we had that in his dad's house. In Northern Ireland around nobody else. And then just to blow my mind, she also dropped the bombshell that this kid is coming in September 2023, which will fit in right if we start the adoption process in January, if we go through, you know, all our examinations and our house visits and, you know, things like that. And she also mentioned that his little brother is coming 2 years later, and that made me cry as well. I'm getting quite emotional just talking about this, actually, like I'm 35. I always said at school I wanted a wife, a house, and the kids by the time I was 21, you know, the UK dream. Um, then obviously being gay and, you know, the lack of a vagina and a womb, that really stunted that dream and put that on the back burner. But I've got 8, uh, nieces and nephews. They're not really my nieces and nephews, they're my cousin's children's. Um, but I love them all, and I just think that this time is right for me. But isn't that weird that she said that I was going to move based on a school, and we just had that conversation that we don't want to bring up a kid around there. I just think this is all fascinating. Anyway, she also told me that she could see our house being built, and it wasn't in a gated community as such, but it had that feel about it. There were nice cars on the drive of the neighbors' houses, and they were all detached houses as well. And funnily enough, I keep looking at this one house online. I've even put it in the middle of my dream board, like my vision board. It's literally in the center of my vision board. It's one of the, like, the two things that hasn't actually come up yet. And it's weird, it's beautiful, but it's way out of my current price point. Like, I think it's something like 4 times what we paid for the house that we're in right now. So although it's not achievable to me right now at this moment in time, what's to stop me dreaming? And that's why I've got it on my vision board. I could win the lottery tomorrow. And then that would change everything. We honestly don't know what the future holds for any of us. I think anything is possible because anything can happen. Yeah, life is short, anything can happen at all. So what else did she tell me? Oh, she knew about the Connie Crystals Academy. Shameless plug there. She said that I was going to start kind of an online membership program where people could basically come online and learn, and that would be my main focus in 2023 because it was grown gonna grow basically exponentially. And then another weird thing that she said is, why haven't you started on your subscription boxes? Aren't things ready to go? And this really touched a bit of a nerve with me because about 4 or 5 months ago, um, I bought everything I needed to start up a subscription crystal box service. And I bought everything to put in the first box, and that was going to be based around wealth and prosperity. So, you know, I bought crystals for wealth and prosperity. I bought little like lucky cat tokens and like green candles. And you know, every month after that I was going to change the theme. However, I got that sidetracked with my new website and, you know, my podcast going to number 1, orders literally coming out me ears, that I just basically had no choice but to park that idea of the subscription boxes. So when I moved into this office and out of my home office, obviously I brought all of these items with us and I just popped them all in a box and I put them all on the bottom shelf of me gigantic shelving unit in me office. And I thought, I'll revisit that when I get time, maybe in the new year. And that's all just sat there right now. Like, I'm looking at it right now and it's a huge bloody box. It's got so much stock in it. It's probably got like £3,000 worth of stock inside of it and it's just sat there. It's doing nothing. That idea has just been parked. Yeah. So Z brought that up and she asked why it was all just sitting there. And I was kind of just sat there all gobsmacked, like, how did she know all of this? It was so intense. And then she said to me, and this is the really interesting part, "You're going to get someone close to you involved to help out on this." And then she paused for ages and went, "It's your mum." Well, let me tell you, every bloody hair on my body stood on end. Me nipples could have cut glass. Like, I don't understand where this came from. She said that this would be my mum's role. And at first I was like, you know, nah, there's no way my mom would get involved with packing orders. I just wanted to be able to return.

Hire and clean me house or clean me office, and you know, like when the kid comes, take the kid for a day and like, you know, have some grandma time and stuff. So I thought there was no way that my mom would get involved with packing orders because I know fine well she'd be too scared to in case she packed the wrong thing. And this is weird because a few weeks ago I dropped into conversation, I was like, you never know, this time next year you might be working for me, to my mom, because she was saying about how much— how stressed she was at work and stuff like that. And she specifically turned around to me and went, well, what do I know about crystals? I could never help you in that respect. But Z said that's why it's perfect for her. If you think about it, I can literally get everything sorted of what's going into each box, put them into individual tubs, and then all she has to do is wrap them up, wrap one of each tub, pop them in a box, stick the label on for whoever's bought it, put, you know, the incense and the care cards and stuff in, and that's it. Because every single box will be uniform. 'Every single box will be the same for each customer that month.' And I suddenly thought to myself, this is an epiphany. Me being the control freak that I am, why have I never ever thought of it like this before? That's honestly the perfect task for me to, you know, hand over to me little mam to do. And I just think it would really help me out in the process as well. And then Z went on to also say that my listeners— well, a lot of my listeners are USA-based, which is rightly so. So when I look at the stats, you know, week on week, there are more and more US listeners every single week. Big hi to you all. And she said because of the cost of post and things like that, the US listeners are a bigger market that are more likely to do the digital stuff. So for example, the academy I'm about to launch, the Crystals Masterclass, the Manifesting Money Masterclass, all of that. And she said they're more likely to do that because obviously they don't have to pay for postage or anything like that. And again, This just seemed so obvious to me, and it was just like, why have I never seen it from this perspective? Honestly, I'm shook at all of this. I feel like I should have just had this bloody reading live on here, actually, shouldn't I? And then you could have heard it all raw from the horse's mouth. You wouldn't have had to listen from me. Anyway, one last thing that I do want to mention about it all though is that I'm so excited about this because again, I haven't even had chance to talk to anyone about this. But she said to me that early next year, I'm really going to capitalise on wellness. Okay? Capitalise on wellness. About an hour, and get this, about an hour after we got off that call, I got a call from Vogue. Yes, you heard that right. Vogue. You know, as in, come on Vogue, let your body move to the music. Yes. Vogue. Vogue contacted little old me, and at first I thought it was a bit of a scam, as you do, you know. I get bloody phone calls all the time from people like in different countries saying that my Amazon's been hacked and stuff. I just thought this was a scam, and I'm like, oh, this is a new one, Vogue. But you know, why would Vogue be contacting me? Anyway, turns out it wasn't a scam, so I've been emailing them loads. I just said to her, can you email us the details? She must have thought, what an arrogant prick. Um, but yeah, she emailed the details over. It actually checks out, she's one of the editors at Vogue, and I've been emailing them loads this last week back and forth. And I can now exclusively reveal— well, not exclusively because you might have seen it on my new website homepage because I just can't hold me water, I'm too excited— but Cany Crystals is going to be featured in the February, March, and April issues. That's 3 issues of Vogue magazine as part of their health and wellness campaign. Can you believe that? Little old me got my bloody products in Vogue magazine. Now I'm sure I'll be sharing the shit out of this once it gets printed and once I see it on their website. But yes, if that's not capitalizing on wellness, then I don't know what is. So yeah, let me see, what else do I have to update you on? So that was my That was my kind of, um, psychic reading with Z. Um, if you go to the Z episode and check out the, um, the show notes, you'll be able to find all of her social links and stuff there if you want to read them for yourself. She's fantastic, honestly. Big shout out to Z if you're listening as well. Um, but yeah, what else have I got to update you on? Let me just quickly check my notes that I scrolled down before hitting record on this. Oh, shall I mention this? Oh, actually, yes. Couple of quick things. So all these podcast episodes, you know, where I've got guests on them, like Z, guess what? I'm putting these on YouTube. Why not, right? Why not? So all the ones that I've recorded on this new platform, I think it's pretty much from Francesca Amber's interview onwards, minus a couple where the videos actually didn't record, but I'm now putting them onto YouTube. I think there's only a couple on there right now because I didn't realize how bloody long it takes to upload YouTube videos it's taken like 2 hours at a time because of how big they are. But yeah, these videos are going to be totally raw in all their glory. And when I say raw, believe me, these are raw. I'm not editing them at all, okay? So you'll see me fuck up my questions so many times, forget what I'm trying to say over and over again. Sometimes, I mean, there was one I think where I just sat there and I was like, I've totally forgot what I was going to ask her. And we sat there for about 30 seconds and she's trying to remind us and Yeah, I just thought it'd be funny. I thought it would be a fun thing to do to let you actually watch the pod interviews. And going forward, as I record them, I'm going to livestream them on YouTube, and then they'll all be on YouTube forever. I just think it's a really canny idea, isn't it? So if you head to YouTube, just type Canny Crystals, you'll see my profile. Give me a subscribe. Is it called that, subscribe on YouTube? A subscribe, a follow, whatever it's called. Because come January, I'm also going to be doing on YouTube a 31-day gratitude video for every single day in January. Now, these will be short, sharp 5-minute videos, but they'll just help you to live in the moment. They'll help you to, you know, just show gratitude, appreciate for what you have, uh, make space to manifest more. You know it, you got it. So yes, they will start on January 1st, which is just 3 weeks away, and I've still yet to record a single bloody video. Fun times. But yeah, I'm putting that out there because if I don't put it out there, I'm not putting it out to the universe, and January 1st will come and I'll be like, oh well, I'll do it next year instead. But now that I've committed to it, I've said it to yous, I'm just gonna get on and do it. Nobody can ever say to me that I don't bloody work hard, you know. I'm like one of those friggin donkeys on Blackpool Beach, Anna. And anyway, just before you go, if you haven't heard or you haven't seen it already, My new website has launched. Yes, it's finally here. I'm back on the platform that I love. I've designed my website all on me own, and it really now feels like an extension of me rather than just some tech company that threw something together. And personally, I love it. So go check it out if you haven't already. Let me know what you think. I think personally it runs a lot smoother, the checkout process is a lot easier, and it just generally looks sexier, I think. So yes, you know what to do. CannyCrystals.co.uk is the website. Go check it out. And for those of you that are still waiting on Moldavite, you know, I get messages all the time off people like, "Do you think it's my time for Moldavite?" People are still eager to know if it's their time to buy. Tonight, Friday the 9th of December, 7:30 PM, I'm releasing a whole new load of it from just £27, okay? Where else can you get genuine certified Moldavite for that price? Sign up to the mailing list at the bottom of my website homepage if you haven't already. You'll receive an email reminder about 5 minutes before, okay? So you'll also be notified about discounts, sales, and all that special stuff directly to your inbox every Friday night. And if you sign up now as well, you'll also be receiving a hugely discounted offer when I do launch the Canny Crystals Manifestation Academy, which is bloody exciting, exciting, exciting in itself. And just another quick thing, if anyone has a Peloton, you know, one of those bikes that you cycle on and you do spinning on, if anyone has a Peloton, please add me. I've got no friends on Peloton. I'm @mart_tweedy. Um, but yeah, I bought myself a Peloton about a week ago and it came the very next day. I got it in the Black Friday sale. I got about £700 off and I'm just paying for it monthly. And I'm thinking about even canceling my gym membership because I love it so much. It's just, I was paying for a gym membership and I'm going to the gym and I was going to the gym 3, 4 times a week and all I'm doing is spinning and swimming. And I feel like I've kind of just said to myself, well, if I have a spinning bike at home, then I don't really need to leave the house. But anyway, I've had this Peloton for 7 days now. I've done 10 workouts on it. I'm absolutely amazed what you can do on it. You can do meditation, you can do yoga, you can do stretches, you can do, um, you know, like weight exercises and stuff with the weights that they provide. Um, but yeah, spinning is my ultimate favorite. So if you have a Peloton, @mart_tweedy. I got it for £50 a month for 2 years. I think that's a really really freaking good deal. So yeah, I'm on Peloton all the bloody time at the minute. And the only last thing that I do have to update is Royal Mail strikes. Now, if you go to the delivery and returns page of my website, you'll be able to see all of the details. And if you wanted to go onto a product page, for example, and you scroll down to where it says add to cart, just underneath there, there's a little thing that says delivery and returns. You can click that and you can read all of the Royal Mail, you know, strike information. They are striking again next week, and I think that's the last time that they'll be striking before Christmas. Hopefully everything will then catch up. I know they've got a massive backlog, um, but yeah, Christmas mail is usually a nightmare as it is. But yeah, Royal Mail strikes, oh my God, what a headache that's causing me. Anyway, I'm gonna shut up now. I hope you've all enjoyed this episode that's been a bit thrown together at the last minute. I still haven't done any Christmas shopping yet, can you believe? The tree got put up last weekend, and usually it's brimming underneath with presents for the farm But I'm just going to have to kind of bite the bullet. And you know, it's going to be a busy slog for me over the next 2 weeks. But don't be a Mart Tweedyedy. Get organized if you haven't already. But yeah, please go and leave this podcast a review on whichever platform you listen from. Just hit the star rating. It's usually at the top of the podcast page. Just hit how many stars that you'd like to leave and press submit. It's that easy. Honestly, I'm not lying to you. You literally click 1 to 5 stars, press submit. That's all it takes, it's that easy, and it really super duperly helps me out. So yeah, have a lush weekend everyone, and I'll hopefully see you all next Friday for another episode of Candy Crystals the podcast. Bye!
