Wayfair, every style, every home. Hi everyone and welcome to another episode of Can you crystals the podcast. I hope that you're all well and that you've had an amazing Christmas. I hope that you're all stuffed with turkey and pigs in blankets. Can you believe that 2023 is about to begin? It honestly doesn't seem like 2 bloody minutes since I was setting my 2022 goals, and what a year it's actually been. So I remember sitting there last year meditating in the first new moon of the year and I wrote, you know, a this time next year letter to meself. And I said in that letter that by the start of 2023, I would have left the NHS, I'd be working full-time on me business, I would have an office space, I would be turning over £30,000 a month, I would have made a start on our adoption journey, I would have developed meself even further spiritually, I would have launched an e-learning platform, I would have retired me mam, and I would have my new Range Rover. Believe it or not, the only thing I'm waiting on is the Range Rover, and that's purely because there's a shortage on them. Go back a few episodes, you'll know all about it. And so yeah, setting yourself goals and dreams for the next 12 months ahead is crucial, okay? But when you write them down, that's the absolute game changer. It's almost like you're setting them in stone by doing that, and you're putting them out into the universe saying, you know, this is what you're going to achieve this year. Just try and stop me. No one could have predicted what the last couple of years have thrown at us, and if you've made it through, like, the last 2 years, you know, physically and emotionally in almost one piece, know that first of all, you're amazing for doing that anyway. And even if you haven't, that's all right too. Just be kind and compassionate to yourself, okay? So as the year draws to a close, if you've had a good year despite the obvious, then I want you to celebrate your wins, but I want you to celebrate them with without guilt. And this is a bit of, well, it's a bit of an end of year ritual, but I've pinched this from Denise Duffield-Thomas because I find it so powerful. But she pinched it from Ho'oponopono anyway, so hey ho, we're all friends here, we're all sharing things. But yeah, I recommend that you do a bit of an end of year ritual to finish as well. So this is basically what I do most years, and I recommend this even if things didn't go to plan for you, especially if you faced challenges and hard times along the way. But just know this, okay, you have the power to completely change your entire experience. So you need to close out the year with this one really simple and powerful exercise. And I just want you to make a list of everything that you're proud of for achieving over the last 12 months. And it could be, I don't know, something like you've got a new job or you've got a promotion or you treat yourself to, I don't know, a new purse or a new bag Or you were a bit kinder to yourself and you, I don't know, developed yourself spiritually by listening to this podcast or enrolling in a course. Or you basically just developed yourself and spent some time investing in your health, your wellbeing, and your mind. Some people find things like this really beneficial to do with a friend. So you might wanna pick like a cheerleading buddy to amplify the success of this exercise because it's so important to have that accountability when you're doing things like this. Just basically so that you don't chicken out and get all like, you know, I guess I did some cool stuff, but just choose someone who gets you and someone who really sees the real you and your accomplishments, someone who will draw more out of you. So, you can take turns asking each other what you're proud of in life. What are you proud of that you've achieved in the last 12 months? So, you could use the sentence, I'm proud of... and then list your accomplishments. You can say, I dealt with X, Y, and Z. I put boundaries in place around X, Y, Z. I hit my... goals this year. You get what I'm saying? You could say, I maintained a strong relationship with my family and kids. My partner and I went on some amazing dates. But make your list as long as you can. Each little thing, put on a paper because it all mounts up and it might just be a little thing to you, but what's a little thing to you could be a massive thing to another person. So just list any achievements or successes that you want to acknowledge before this year is out. Don't be shy or modest, okay? That's the most important thing about this exercise. It's time to really shine a light on everything that you've done in the last 12 months. Now, most people will probably get stuck at about 5 things that you're proud of because, you know, if you're like me, you don't really like to brag. Okay, you discount your accomplishments, or you've basically just forgotten because like I say, you might think that they're really small thing and they're not worth mentioning. And that's why asking yourself, what else? over and over again is so important. Keep on asking yourself and don't give up. So when you've wrote down your 5 things, think, what else? Write down the 6th thing, then say to yourself, what else? Keep on asking yourself over and over again. When you acknowledge all your wins, whether they be big or small, that is great for manifesting more success. So when you do that exercise, you can attract even more good luck and more fine abundance into your life. You just need to work on a mix of business and personal, so long as you get maybe 30 to 50 good things wrote down of what's happened to you in this last 12 months. So if you're doing this exercise by yourself, imagine me saying to you, "What else?" every time you get stuck, because that might even help you there. Get everything you can wrote down. The next step once you've done all of this is to forgive any mistakes. So any missed opportunities or anything else that had basically sabotaged your progress this year. You can do forgiveness work on yourself, on your circumstances, and forgiveness work on anyone else that you feel has helped you or hindered you and your results this year. Now you may have heard of me talking about this in past episodes, but the best way to do this forgiveness work is via something, like I mentioned earlier, called Ho'oponopono. Okay, just Google it, just say to Siri or say to Alexa Ho'oponopono, because when I eventually launch the Manifesting Magic Academy, there's going to be a whole module on this because it is honestly so, so powerful. This one affirmation can really set you free more than anything else, and it's I forgive you. Okay, the forgiveness exercise will clear about 80 to 90% of your stuff guaranteed, and the beauty of this exercise is that you don't have to physically connect with that person. You don't have to call them. You don't have to meet up with them for a coffee and say, "I forgive you." This exercise isn't for them. This is about releasing you. You can do this via meditation. You can do this just lay there visualizing that person in front of you. You might have heard of cord cutting, for example, and if you go on YouTube, I'm sure there's thousands of cord cutting exercises that you can do. You don't physically have to be face to face with that person that's hindered you. So in Ho'oponopono, we don't just say the words, we really feel them. Okay, so get yourself comfy, take a few deep breaths somewhere you're not going to be disturbed, close your eyes, and allow that person or that circumstance to come into your head, visualizing it with all of your senses. Like I said, don't just see it, feel it, smell it, taste it. Where are you? Listen to it, hear it. Okay, and then you say I'm sorry, I forgive you, I love you. And they are the 3 phrases that you use in Ho'oponopono. But like I say, we don't just say the words, we really feel them. So it's I'm sorry, I forgive you, I love you. So make a physical list of every single person and event that you can think of connected with your last 12 months that hasn't gone the way that you wanted it to. Like I said, these can be big or small events. They can be specific or they can be general. But start with your parents or your partner because there's always fertile ground there for material, okay? Include things to forgive yourself for because this is a really important list because you'd be surprised how much you're beating yourself up for past mistakes. And then once you've said, "I'm sorry. I forgive you. I love you." Make sure you really feel those feelings and they're not just empty words. And that is basically it. You can spend a couple of seconds on each situation and then move on. Don't get caught up in the emotions. You're only saying the affirmation and releasing the memory. You might feel a slight overwhelm outpouring of sadness, but just continue the process. Trust me when I say this: I'm sorry, I forgive you, "I love you." It just evaporates the energy of any resentment that you hold towards them, but it also allows you to feel that compassion for their side of the story. The "I love you" part at the end really helps to just balance the energy as well. It sends love to the situation and it releases you from being the victim. Allow emotions to bubble up and tears to flow, but keep going until you've exhausted the list and yourself. And then afterwards, go and get yourself a nice glass of water. Drink a lot of water and rest. Give it a few days and then check in with yourself to see if there's any energetic charge remaining. And most of the time when I do this, you'll be surprised to find that you can't even recall certain stories, and if you do, there won't be any trace of embarrassment or anger. They are released. You've cut the cord with that person, that situation. And then just watch what happens next, because things will start to shift in your real world. You'll feel happier and lighter. There's no end to forgiveness, and after all, you get the really traumatic events out of the way, and then it is so fun and so freeing, and you can live your life the way that you want to. And then once you've got the slate cleaned, it's ready to set yourself those goals. When it comes to setting goals, it's really common to get blocked or feel like you're not doing it right. You might wonder, should I set a big stretch goal? Should I only write down realistic things and that I know I can achieve? Or will I put out mixed messages to the universe if I change it too often? And for some people, picking out goals can feel really, really hard. And for many people, people are scared to commit to them in case they get it wrong and in case they don't achieve them. But goal setting is free, and just remember that. You can do this as many times as you like. You can change your goals. You can change the goalposts as many times as you want, whenever you want. It doesn't cost you anything to set a goal. Don't procrastinate with the belief that you've only got one shot at this. That's perfectionism getting in the way, and it's the single biggest block to becoming a good goal setter. So why do you even need goals? Can you just wing it? Of course you can. However, setting a goal will focus you. It'll help you make decisions in your life. So when you're weighing up ideas, for example, you can look at your goal to help you decide which direction will best serve your overall goals, and that can save you a lot of time and wasted effort as well. Basically, just so that you don't go off on those random directions. Should your goal feel like a massive stretch? Yeah, for some people that's motivating. I personally like to set big goals and achieve them, but if that's going to freak you out, setting a more achievable goal for yourself will make more sense to you. The next thing to know is that there is no perfect way to set your goals. I wish I could tell you that there was one right way to set your goals. I'd like to make life a lot easier, and I think that would. But there's not, okay? The big secret is that your intention and your clarity are the two most important things, and a goal can change over time. A goal that changes is better than no goal at all. Just remember that. So grab yourself a pen and paper, write down numbers 1 to 10 down the side, and then for every single number, write down a specific goal of what you want to achieve in the next 12 months. Some people prefer to break these down into 3 steps to each one. For example, one of my top goals this year is to become a dad. Okay, so the 3 steps I could take towards that would be to formally register for adoption, to attend the adoption classes, and the third could be to start buying nursery items, for example, for the kid's bedroom. Yeah, whatever your goals are, break each one of them down into 3 achievable chunks that will put you on the right path to achieving that specific goal. And that really is all I have to say on the matter. I've done a previous episode on how to achieve your goals and vision boards. If you want to go a bit more in depth and go back to that, go and check those out. But ultimately, the power is in your hands. You control what you achieve each year by the energy that you're willing to put in to make it work. So on that note, I'm going to wrap up this episode. It has been a shorter episode like I mentioned, but I just want to wrap up this episode and just say a massive thank you from me personally to every single one of you that has supported this podcast from day one and all the way through 2022, now heading into 2023. It really does mean the world to us that each of you listen on a weekly basis and that you follow along with the exercises, you know, you buy things from the website and so much more. I am eternally grateful for every single one of you, and I wish you all nothing but peace, prosperity, abundance, happiness, and joy. And I honestly hope that 2023 is your year. Me personally, I'm heading down Newcastle Quayside to watch the fireworks, so if anyone's around, please come and say hi. And I see you all in the new year where we are all going to absolutely boss our goals and dreams for 2023. Have a wonderful New Year, everyone. Thank you so much for listening once again, and I'll see you all next year. Oh, that's such a current thing to say, isn't it? Thanks for listening, guys. Bye!
