Mart Tweedy breaks down how to use color for manifestation: pink and red for love, green and gold for money, yellow for confidence, black for protection, blue for healing, indigo and purple for intuition, orange for creativity. Incorporate color through clothes, home décor, candles, crystals, food, and visualization.

Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Cani Crystals the podcast. I hope that you're all having a gorgeous week and that life is treating you well, or at least not testing you too much, let's be honest. We're jumping straight in today because I'm going to talk about a topic— I'll hold my hands up, it isn't exactly my specialist subject, but it's something that I've seen popping up a lot lately on social media, and you know me, I love diving down a good little rabbit hole, so I thought, why not? Let's have a little explore together. So we are going to be talking about manifesting with color. Yes, you heard me right, colors. Now you might be thinking, Mart, what on earth do colors have to do with manifestation? Well, just hear me out, okay? Think about it. Color is literally everywhere, from the walls on your living room to your favorite little crystals, even down to what color socks you put on in the morning. Colors hold energy, they have meaning, they absolutely influence our mood, our thoughts, and how we show up in the world. Now, this first came about, oh, it was years ago. I just remember one of my friends, she got the keys to her very own little house. I think we were like 18, 19 years old at the time. She got the keys to her house, she went in, she painted her bedroom bright red, and I remember her mom coming in and being like, oh wow, that is too much fire energy. Far too much fire energy. There's going to be like passion and uproar and stuff like that. And I was like, what? What does that even mean? Just because she's painted her room red? And then I remember they had the biggest bust-ups. So when they would argue with each other, it would always be last thing at night when they would lay in bed, and she would always come crying to me. And I was always like, well, do you think that this is because you painted your room red and what your mom said? I honestly think that if you paint something red, you know, it's like, yeah, red is good for passion and creativity and stuff like that, but it's also the color of anger as well. So, you know, colors do have energy. So if you're trying to manifest big money moves, you might not want to sit around dressed head to toe in beige, for example. Nothing against beige, but you get what I mean. Color has a vibe, and there's actually a fair bit of research behind this as well. So I was just looking up about color psychology It's a massive thing. Brands actually spend millions, well, probably even billions, picking the right shades because they know that color makes people feel something. Red can make you feel passionate, powerful, a bit daring. Blue can help you feel calm, balanced, trusting. Green, well, green is all about growth, abundance, prosperity, you know, show me the money, that kind of energy. So today I want to chat about how you can use these colors to back up your manifestations. Like if you're trying to call in love, there are certain colors that can support that intention. If you're after success or confidence, or you just want to protect your energy from all those negative Nellies, there are colors for that as well. So I'm going to break them all down for you in a way that is super easy with zero gatekeeping, because let's be honest, half the time this spiritual stuff can sound like rocket science, and we're not about that here. We are not about that life. So whether you want to fill your wardrobe with money-making green, light a juicy pink candle to call in love, or maybe you're just a bit curious about why you keep being drawn to certain colors. This episode will hopefully spark a few ideas for you, and by the end of it, you'll hopefully be able to play around with color as another tool in your manifesting toolkit. Because let's face it, we'll take all the help that we can get, right? So get yourself comfy, we are going to dive into the world of manifesting with color. You might never look at your wardrobe in the same way again, ladies and gentlemen. Okay, so the first thing on my list is to get into the nitty-gritty of why color even matters when it comes to manifestation. Because, you know, some of you might be just sat there thinking, "God, something else, another woo-woo trend." And fair question. Like, honestly, color is way more powerful than any of us give it any credit for. Think about it, color is literally energy. It's wavelengths of light that vibrate at different frequencies, just like, you know, everything else in the world. And because we're all made up of energy as well, it makes sense that color would have an effect on That's why you often feel calmer in a blue room, or why you might suddenly get like a burst of energy when you see something bright orange. It's not magic, it's science. Plus, our brains are wired to associate colors with certain feelings as well. You know, marketing people have known this for years in shops and supermarkets and stuff. That's why sale signs are nearly always red, because it's a sense of urgency. It makes you pay attention. Whereas blue, on the other hand, that's used by banks and big companies. You know, if we think here in the UK, we've got, um, what's that bank? Barclays, for example. They've got a blue logo. Yeah, it gives off a sense of trust and reliability, and that's why you rarely see a bank covered in neon pink, you know. And beyond that, color can actually shift your own energy as well. So if you're trying to manifest confidence but you're wearing colors that are going to drain you, you might feel a bit meh before you've even started. But as soon as you throw on something bold and energizing, say a juicy yellow or a fiery red or something like that, you might notice that you suddenly feel a bit more ready to face the world. So when you think of manifestation as working with energy, which is basically what it is, color is just another layer that you can add in to align your vibes as well. So you can treat it like an extra booster shot for your intentions. You don't need to be an expert or do anything complicated either. I've just started doing this this week, but you can literally just look at what colours you already have around you and just ask yourself, does this support what I'm trying to bring in? So I'm going to use my living room as an example, because as I record this, I'm sitting in my living room. And as I look around, right, I've got a green plant in the corner. I've got— oh, what is it? There's loads of stuff in the corner like Jake's toys that are colourful. I've got a red candle on the table. Other than that, everything else in this room is fucking monochrome. Everything is grey, black, different shade of grey, different shade of black, and white. What does that say about this room? It's kind of saying that, yeah, it felt nice when we first did it and stuff, but we haven't decorated since we moved in. And now that I'm looking around this room, I'm like, oh my God, is this why I feel a bit drab whenever I come home? Because I'm like, I'm sick of this house, we really want to move. I've got me dream house on me dream board. Do I need to incorporate some colour in here for a bit more passion and stuff? Oh, I tell a lie, I've got a massive purple amethyst on me, um, on me dining table, but that's the only colour in my living room. That is the only, only colours there. So I just used that as a very, very quick example, but if you look around your room or, you know, wherever you are right now, what do the colours say about where you are right now? Like, if you're trying to manifest peace and calm in your life but your bedroom is painted neon green or red, like I was saying earlier, you might want to rethink that. I mean, I'd have a headache just even thinking about that, never mind trying to get a peaceful night's sleep in there. So in a nutshell, color is one of those simple, underestimated tools that can actually help you shift your mindset, your focus, and pretty much your whole vibe while we're on. And the best bit, it doesn't really cost a penny unless of course you decide to do a wardrobe overhaul or a huge makeover, which, you know, I won't judge, but it doesn't have to cost you much. All you have to do is switch a few things around in your house from different rooms, bring different colors in, and see what works for you. Okay, so I want to kind of dive a little bit deeper now because I know you'll be wondering, like, Mart, which color should I use exactly for what? So I'm going to break it all down together, intention by intention, because color can really act like a little shortcut for your brain and energy to lock in on what you're trying to attract.. So I'm going to run through some of the most common things that people try to manifest and the colors that can back you up. And the categories that I've chosen for this are the categories that are mainly looked at on cannycrystals.co.uk. So I can see exactly what people search for, I can see which pages are the most popular, you know. So I'm just going to go through some of those. So the first one is love and relationships, okay? So it's everyone's favorite topic, isn't it? When it comes to attracting love or deepening a relationship, or even boosting self-love, pink and red are going to be your go-to. So pink is all about gentle nurturing love. Think heart chakra, compassion, friendship, self-love, a sense of safety. It's a bit soft as well, isn't it? So it's the color of kindness, tenderness, and unconditional love. So if you're working on healing old relationship wounds or learning to love yourself more, pink is where it's at. Red, on the other hand, is more fiery. It's more about passion, desire, sexual attraction, confidence, courage. So if you want to spark things up or call in a passionate, exciting relationship, or maybe even get yourself out there dating again, then red can be your wingman. I don't mean painting your bedroom like I said earlier, just wearing something red. You could wear pink or red clothes, you could use a pink candle, you could visualize a warm pink or red glow around you while you set your intentions. Even painting your nails a juicy red, that can be a cheeky little energy shift, trust us. Now, the second thing is money and abundance. So green and gold here. When you're working on abundance, prosperity, or wealth, green really is the color. Green is connected with growth, expansion, prosperity. You know, it makes so much sense though, doesn't it? Like, nature grows in green. Money in many countries is green. It links straight to the heart chakra as well, which is about receiving.. And then you've got gold, the ultimate rich vibes color. Gold kind of represents wealth, luxury, royalty, and higher levels of abundance. If we think of like somewhere gold, like a house that's made of gold, you think of a palace like Buckingham Palace. It's got loads of gold there. It's all about royalty and, you know, higher levels of abundance, like I said. So it's about having a prosperous mindset and allowing yourself to think bigger beyond just enough and into overflow as well.. So if you're manifesting a pay rise, if you're trying to get new clients in your business, if you've got a big financial goal, you could wear green or gold, pop a green candle on your table, set your wallpaper to something gold and sparkly as a bit of a daily reminder. Third on my list is success and confidence. So here I'm going to talk about yellow. So yellow is the color of the solar plexus chakra, which is right around your belly button area. That is your personal power zone. So it's all about confidence, self-worth, motivation, and courage to take action as well. So if you're manifesting a big dream like starting a business, going for a promotion, launching a new project, yellow is going to help you stand in your power and feel unstoppable while you do it as well. It's bright, it's energizing, it's positive. It reminds you to shine and actually be seen in the world as well. I mean, who can feel miserable around yellow? It's like bottled sunshine, isn't it? The fourth thing on my list is protection and boundaries. Now, the color for this is black, and hear me out here because black sometimes gets a bad rap, but in spiritual work, it's actually a really protective color. Think of it like a shield. It's going to soak up negativity, it's going to create those boundaries, and it's going to keep you safe from other people's funky energies as well. So if you're manifesting more peace, or you're trying to protect yourself from energy drainers and psychic vampires— we all know one or two of those, don't we? Black is a brilliant color for you. Maybe you want to carry a black tourmaline crystal. Maybe you want to wear black clothes if you know that you're going to be around draining people. Maybe you just want to even visualize a black bubble of protection around you when setting your intentions. It's all going to add up and it's all going to help. Next on my list is healing and peace. Now, this is blue, and blue is like a big, deep, calm exhale. It's kind of like that, ah, that moment. Okay, so it's connected to the throat chakra because the throat chakra is blue. It supports clear communication, honesty, speaking your truth. But on a broader level, blue is just soothing. Think about the sky or the sea or the ocean. If you're manifesting healing or stress relief or just a more peaceful life, blue can help slow your energy down and just give you a sense of trust and flow. You could light a blue candle, you could wear yourself a blue scarf, you could even paint with blue tones. You know, that can be quite subtle but powerful signal to your energy that it's time to calm down and chill out. Next on the list is intuition and spiritual growth. Now the colors for these are purple and indigo. So when you want to get connected to your higher self or tap into your intuition or maybe even open up your psychic abilities, purple and indigo are the colors that you are going to need. So indigo links to the third eye chakra, which is right between your eyebrows. That helps with insight, clarity, and intuition, but it can also support you in trusting your gut, you know, or even noticing synchronicities, feeling more spiritually connected. And purple is linked to the crown chakra, which is right at the very top of your head. That's the doorway to the universe, basically. It's about spiritual connection or higher guidance and awakening. So if you're manifesting clarity or spiritual growth, or maybe you just want to connect with something that's bigger than yourself, purple and indigo are fab. Maybe get yourself a purple notebook for journaling, or meditate with a purple crystal like amethyst, or a purple candle, or even wear just a bit of purple jewelry to keep you tuned in. Okay, next on the list— well, this is last on the list as well— is creativity and joy. So this is orange, and orange is the color of the sacral chakra. So your sacral chakra is all about creativity, pleasure, joy, sensuality, and flow. So if you're manifesting a more joyful, creative, expressive life, orange is going to be your best mate. It's vibrant, it's playful, it helps you think outside the box. So if you're working on creative projects, if you're wanting to feel a bit more spontaneous, or simply get out of a rut, just bring in some more orange. You could light a candle, you could paint something orange, you could eat orange foods, you could wear orange clothes to spark up that creative energy. Lots of different ways that you can do this. Now, I don't want you to get stressed thinking that you have to choose only one color. You can absolutely combine them depending on what you're calling in, of course. Maybe you want love and confidence, so why not pink and yellow together? You know, maybe you're trying to manifest money with spiritual alignment— green and purple. There are no rules. No one's coming around to check if you've done it right. No one's going to knock on your door and be like, "Hi, I'm the color police, just here to check that you're doing this okay." You're in charge. It's all about what feels good to you. So think of these colors as another playful tool. Let them support your mindset, your mood, and your energy because honestly, the more you back up your intentions with these little reminders, you know, these visual cues like color, the more your subconscious gets on board with it. And that's where the magic is going to happen. So now we're going to get a little bit more spiritual because, you know, I love a bit of woo, let's be honest. I want to chat about how color links with the chakras. Okay, so you might have heard about the chakras before. I think I've done an episode about these many, many moons ago. I mean, we're nearly at episode 200 here. I can't think of what I've talked about and what I haven't, but basically the chakras are these spinning wheels of energy that run from the base of your spine right on up to the crown of your head, and there are 7 main ones. Every chakra is connected to different parts of your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. And guess what? Every chakra has a color linked to it. So when your chakras are in balance, energy flows freely. You're more in alignment, meaning you're a bit of a manifestation magnet. But if they're blocked, it can make it a lot harder to bring in what you want. So using color with your chakras can be a really powerful way to support your manifestation journey. So I'll quickly run through them. So we've got the root chakra, which is red. So the root chakra is all about survival, security, feeling grounded, basically your sense of safety and belonging in the world. And the color for that is red. So if you're trying to manifest stability, a secure home, or just feel a little less wobbly, red is where you want to focus. You could wear red socks, eat red foods like strawberries or tomatoes, or even visualize a glowing red light at the base of your spine rooting you into the earth. Next up is the sacral chakra. So this is found around your lower belly, like I've just said. This is your center for creativity and joy and pleasure. So it's about going with the flow and enjoying life. So if you're feeling creatively blocked or you're manifesting more fun, more confidence, or intimacy, or a bit of passion for life, orange is going to be your go-to. Think orange clothes, orange candles, even a cheeky glass of orange juice with intention. That would work. Next up is the solar plexus chakra, which is yellow. So that's just under your ribs. You've got the solar plexus chakra there. This is your personal power zone, so confidence, willpower, self-esteem. So the color is yellow, which is the color of sunshine and motivation. So if you're manifesting success bravery, or the confidence to speak up for yourself, yellow is going to give you that little extra boost. You could even think about like yellow flowers, meditate on a bright golden light in your solar plexus area, whatever you want to do. Then moving up, like I mentioned earlier, we have the heart chakra, which is green and pink. So this is probably my favorite because it's right in the center of the chest. It's all about love, compassion, connection, and forgiveness. So the traditional color is green, but like I said, pink works here beautifully as well. So if you're working on self-love, or if you're calling in a new relationship, or if you're healing old heartbreak, green or pink are going to really support you. So you could wear a rose quartz pendant, you could have a rose quartz crystal and just put it in between your boobs, even surround yourself with green plants to feel that gentle loving energy. So many different ways. Then we have the throat chakra. I just quickly mentioned this in the last bit as well, but This is all about the confidence to express yourself and clear boundaries and, you know, honesty in your relationship. And blue is your go-to color here. Third eye chakra, which is between your eyebrows. This is the seat of your intuition, your inner wisdom, your ability to see beyond the obvious. And its color is indigo, that deep, rich cosmic blue. So if you're manifesting more clarity, sharper intuition, even psychic gifts, working with indigo can really help you. Lapis Lazuli is an amazing crystal for this, okay? Like sodalite as well. Sodalite's another good one. Um, then we have your crown chakra, which is purple or white. That's right at the top of your head. It's your connection to the divine, the universe, higher consciousness, whatever you want to call it. Its color is purple, sometimes white as well. If you're manifesting spiritual growth, deeper connection, or you just want to even trust in the universe some more, you know, purple is perfect. So you can see how kind of color and chakras work hand in hand. If you ever feel like you're blocked or you're stuck in a certain area of your life, have a little check-in with what chakra relates to that issue, then bring in that color to help get that energy flowing again. It doesn't have to be complicated. You could keep it as simple as wearing a scarf in that color, lighting a candle, eating colorful foods. The idea is to just remind your subconscious of what you're working on. It's honestly such a fun way to supercharge your manifestation practice because it just gives you the energy and an extra nudge in the right direction. Plus, you'll feel like an absolute rainbow legend while you're doing it. What's not to love? Alright, so we've gone through all that. I'm just checking my list as to what is next. Oh yeah, so next I want to talk about how to actually use color in your daily life without overcomplicating it or feeling like you've got to transform into a walking rainbow fairy. Unless of course that's your vibe, in which case crack on. Now the beautiful thing about color is that it's everywhere. It's in nature, it's in our homes, it's on our skin. You can weave it into your manifestation practice in loads of simple, practical, and even fun ways. So I've already talked about clothing and accessories and candles, but crystals is an amazing way to bring in color. They are basically color energy and earth rolled into one. Rose Quartz has that soft pink energy for love. Citrine has that yellow confidence and abundance. Black Tourmaline has that protective black. Amethyst is spiritual purple. You know, you can choose your crystals not just by their properties but also by their colors as well, and keep them on you as a little color-coded reminder of your intention. And I briefly touched on this as well, but food and drink as well. You can absolutely eat with intention. If you're working on grounding and stability, Eat some earthy red foods like beetroot or tomatoes. If you want a creativity boost, think bright orange food like oranges or carrots. You can even charge up your water by putting it in a brightly colored glass or stirring in a few slices of brightly colored fruit. Honestly, you'll feel like a manifestation chef. I love it. And visualization as well, this is a big one. It costs nothing to do. So when you're doing your manifestation meditations or your affirmations, Just bring in color with your mind's eye. For example, if you're visualizing abundance, picture yourself surrounded by a warm, sparkly golden light. If you're trying to heal a relationship, imagine that soft pink glow filling the space around you instead. Your subconscious responds massively to color, so visualizing it is like putting your intention on steroids. You're literally bathing your manifestation in that energetic frequency. Now, if you're a journaler, which let's face it, I know a lot of you are, Use colored pens to match your intention. Write money goals in green, write your love goals in pink, write your confidence boosts in yellow. The same goes for your vision boards. Don't just grab random magazine cuttings or internet pictures, you know, choose colors that match with what you're calling in. So if you're trying to manifest a peaceful home, lean towards calm blues or greens in your images. These tiny little details are really going to help your subconscious stay locked onto your desire every time you see them. Another way we can do it is use phone backgrounds or laptop backgrounds. We all basically live on our phones these days, so why not use that to your advantage? Change your phone wallpaper to match your current manifestation focus. Pop a golden image on there if you're manifesting money, or a purple mandala or something if you're going through a spiritual growth phase. Then every time you look at your phone, which let's be honest is about 200-300 times a day, you're sending a little ping to your brain about your intention. It's sneaky, but it's powerful. And even just being aware of color as you move through the day, that can really shift your energy. Notice what you're drawn to. Maybe you've got a bit of a sudden urge to, you know, wear more blue. That might be a sign that your throat chakra wants some attention. Just tune into those nudges instead of ignoring them, because you'll be surprised how spot-on your intuition can be when you start listening. Now, I watched a TikTok— I'm gonna say this was maybe about a month ago— and it was this girl talking about how we should be mindful around color and set ourselves an affirmation so that every single time we see that color in day-to-day life, we repeat our affirmation about that color twice. And I thought, but you see color all day, every day, right? So I've just limited this to when I'm driving around. So when I'm driving around, if I see anything green, I repeat an affirmation of abundance. Does that make sense? So, I have noticed this so much when I'm out driving, or I'm like on my way down to the office, or on my way to a meeting, or something like that. If I notice anything green, obviously I don't count trees or grass because I just think bloody hell, I'd be on all day. I'd have no voice box left for the podcast. But if I see a green car, if I see a green billboard, if I see someone walk and pass with a green t-shirt, I just repeat my affirmation to myself, and I've found that I feel a lot more confident in those affirmations since I've been incorporating the, the color. And I probably say them a lot more as well, a lot more often, because I'm actually being reminded to say them by the color. So you can use that as well, you know. And like I said earlier, don't overcomplicate this. You don't have to make it some like complicated thing to do. There's no color police. Nobody's coming to check that you've got the right shade of blue or anything like that. It's more about playing, experimenting, and seeing what makes you feel good. Your subconscious loves these visual reminders. They're like little nudges throughout the day. They're just going to keep you focused on what you're calling in. And the more you keep your energy in alignment with your desire, the more magnetic you're going to become to it. So have a play, mix colors, layer them up, see what works. And if you fancy dressing like that rainbow, go for it! Life's too short not to have a bit of fun with it as well. So I'm going to bring all this together now with some affirmations, because you know I'm a huge believer that words plus energy plus intention that is the secret sauce of manifestation. So adding color to your affirmations, it's kind of like turning the volume up to 11. So think of it this way: when you combine a strong positive affirmation with the vibration of color, you're giving your subconscious a double whammy. It's a powerful message with a visual cue as well, and that makes it way harder for self-doubt to sneak in. So you can say these out loud. I've written these down. You can write them down as well if you want. You can even just repeat them in your mind while visualizing that color all around you. It's kind of like wrapping yourself up in a big fluffy high vibe blanket, but I'm going to go through just a few for each one, okay? So for love, visualize pink or red and say, "I am worthy of giving and receiving unconditional love." For money and abundance, think about green or gold and just repeat, "Everything I need to thrive is flowing to me now." For success and confidence, think about yellow and just say, "I step boldly into my success, shining like the sun." For protection and boundaries, which is black, "I honor my boundaries and stand firm in my power." If you want healing and peace, visualize blue and just say, "I trust in the flow of life and release what no longer serves me." For intuition and spiritual growth, think about indigo or purple and just say, 'I trust my intuition and follow its messages with confidence.' And then lastly, for creativity and joy, think about orange and just say, 'I feel vibrant, playful, and free to express myself.' So that's what I would do, okay? I would work these into me daily life without it feeling like an extra chore. I'd stick them on me mirror, the Post-it note with the color of that intention. I'd repeat them while I was brushing me teeth, you know, multitasking for the win. I could record a voice note of me saying them and playing it back in the car. I could pair them with a candle, a crystal, or a colored vision board. In fact, in my feng shui of my house, in every corner of my home and every area of my home, I have different crystals relating to that different feng shui area. I also have a written affirmation underneath just to back it up. You know, set them as your phone lock screen if you want. Why not? Honestly, you just do whatever feels the most natural to you because these affirmations are just there to remind you of who you are becoming, and the color is just there to boost that vibe. So keep it playful, keep it light. Don't put pressure on yourself to do it perfectly, because like I say, your subconscious responds best when you feel good. So if you're repeating these with a sense of excitement, imagining yourself absolutely thriving, glowing, magnetic in your chosen color, that is when the magic is going to happen. Okay, so that is the juicy lowdown on manifesting with color. I'd love to know what changes you make because of this. I'd love to hear how you get on with this as well. So if you try using colors this next week, DM me or tag me in your stories. I am @cannycrystals. I genuinely love seeing how you all put this stuff into practice as well.
