Go touch grass. You have probably heard this phrase. Maybe you have even said it. But beneath the sort of lighthearted nature of this meme is something very real and important. A growing sense that staying in touch with our humanity and being present in our bodies matters more than ever. In today's digital world. My name is Manoush Zomorodi, and I am taking over as host of TED Talks Daily this week to explore what technology is actually doing to your body and mind. In special interviews with scientists, doctors, parents, artists, and more, we're going to dig into your physical and mental health on tech. How we think about our bodies differently now, how we relate to new innovations that are amazing but also a little scary, and how we can live a healthier life in this high-tech era. Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Canny Crystals, the podcast. If this is your first time listening, welcome in. My name is Mart Tweedy, I'm your host, and I'm here to basically talk all things manifestation, mindset, and spirituality. So if you've been here with me for a long time, thank you so much for coming back once again. I truly appreciate you coming back week after week. And I want to start today's episode by letting you know first and foremost that it's only bloody Black Friday, isn't it? Get excited, because for one week only, everything— and I mean everything— at cannycrystals.co.uk is 3 for 2. I think I'm Boots. Yes, it's the perfect time for you all to stock up on spiritual goodies, grab yourself a nice little treat, or even get some Christmas shopping in. So, to be totally honest, I've never done this before, but I'm so excited to be able to pass some savings down to you all. So please do go by all means and fill your boots. There is no code needed. So from Friday the 21st of November until Friday the 28th of November at midnight UK time, if you add any 3 things to your basket, you'll get the cheapest one for free. Wild, I know. Obviously you don't just have to buy 3 things, you could buy 12 if you really wanted to, and then you're getting 4 things for free. You know the crack, you're not idiots. And also, I thought I can't leave the Academy out, so if you enter the code Black Friday at checkout at cannycrystalsacademy.co.uk, you'll also be able to get 40% off everything in there. 40%, 4-0, not 14, 40. Now, some people do get confused between the two websites, so here's a quick roundup. cannycrystals.co.uk is for all of my physical products like crystals, candles, books, gift set, digital downloads like subliminals, tarot readings, jewelry, etc., etc. You get the drift. Whereas cannycrystalsacademy.co.uk is all of my self-development e-learning courses and workshops and me membership. So basically lots of self-learning from videos, audio, workbooks, etc., etc. So physical products, no code needed, everything is 3 for 2. The academy, enter code BLACKFRIDAY without any spaces at checkout and you'll get 40% off anything that takes your fancy. So maybe you want to learn tarot. Maybe you want to challenge yourself to manifest something in just 10 days in the Limitless Manifestation Accelerator. Maybe you want to upgrade your money mindset. The choice really is yours. But happy Black Friday 2025, thank you very much. Right, anyway, what a couple of weeks it's been. I want to tell you about what's been going on. So how are you? Grab yourself a cuppa, we'll have a little natter. So a couple of weeks ago, I sat down and I had a chat with Kimberly Gallagher for the pod. I think actually it went out last Friday, didn't it? It was the episode that came last Friday. This chat was actually so inspirational for me because the second I came off that call with Kimberly, I just felt a pull to absolutely obliterate my house like never before. I really wish I could have just chucked a bomb in and done a runner, to be totally honest with you. Now, for perspective, I usually declutter my house maybe 3 to 4 times a year. No biggie. I just do it whenever it feels natural. Now, for me, that's usually when the seasons change. So, for example, if the weather starts to get warmer, I don't want me wardrobe taken over by big fleecy jumpers and knitted scarves. I want to be able to quickly go in there, grab a light t-shirt and me pair of shorts. So when I start grabbing stuff out me wardrobe every 3 months or so, I usually just continue that throughout me drawers, and before you know it, I've done the bedroom, I've decluttered me bathroom, I've worked me way through the entire house. Yeah. So something Kimberly said in that podcast episode really made me think about my decluttering process. Because if you've watched The Magic of Tidying Up on Netflix— is that what it's called? I think that's what it's called. Marie Kondo. If you've watched that, you'll know, like, she always says to grab an item, to look at it, to give thanks to it and gratitude for it, for serving you. So say if it's a, I don't know, a coat, like, thank you for keeping me warm, however, I release you. And then you give it to a charity shop or something. So usually I'd look at something and think, Am I going to use this anytime soon? Now, when I'm doing my wardrobe, to go back to that example, I'd usually lie to myself and I'd say, "Oh well, if I lose another 3 to 4 pounds, I'd probably fit back into that t-shirt by next summer." Spoiler alert: I never lose that 3 to 4 pounds, and so that t-shirt, or whatever it is, it ends up sitting in my wardrobe stagnant for all eternity. So what I did, inspired by Kimberly, was I started looking at things and asking myself a different question. I started asking myself, have I either used this object or this piece of clothing within the last year? Now, for me, this was a great indication of whether or not I actually need this object in me house, and is it serving a purpose for us, or is it literally just clutter? And I even started asking myself a second question, which was, if I was to move house tomorrow would this item come with us or would I bin it? And so I started that very night. Now I started with me living room and I thought, I am going to intentionally declutter my living room. Intentional being the key word here. Now I didn't think that I had a lot of things in me living room anyway because as I'm looking around it right now, I've got a TV, TV unit, a chair, a couch, a table, a few things on the wall, few things on shelves. That's basically it. I got the biggest shock ever. There was a light-up letterbox thing that I got years ago, you know, where you put these plastic letters in, you put batteries in, you turn it on, it's like a light box but you put letters on the front. Anyway, I had one of these that had been sat on me shelves with the words "positive vibes" on it. It's been broken for about 3 years. It doesn't turn on. It wasn't serving any purpose at all, so that went straight into a bin bag. There were candles that I'd used, but I loved the glass jars that they came in so much that I was using them as decoration. They served absolutely no purpose whatsoever. And Kimberly mentioned something in the podcast as well about things from past relationships. Well, these candles were what I got for free when I was looking after Amber's social media while she was on Love Island. And so I thought, I don't talk to her anymore. Subconsciously, every time I see these candles, I'm thinking of her, which in turn makes me think about that period in my life when I was working in the NHS and how unhappy I was with my life back then. So I just thought, you know what, I'm gonna get rid of them. I whacked them in the bin bag as well. I continued to go through me entire living room, me entire cupboard under the stairs, the downstairs bathroom, and the kitchen, and I got rid of— get ready for this— 9 bin bags of— how can I put this— shit, basically. Now, I declutter every 3 months, like I say. How could I possibly have 9 bin bags of shit? Now, when I started in the kitchen, I thought the kitchen was going to be easy, but I had herbs and spices in this one drawer that we had maybe opened, used once, and never used again. These were from years ago. Years ago. Okay, some of them had been out of date since like 2022. There were lots of pots, pans, dishes that we'd never used since we moved in 6 years ago. There was an alcohol cupboard with half-drank bottles of spirits in there. There was even a bottle of tequila in there. My tequila days are long gone. Okay, I don't really drink, to be honest, so they'll have been from some New Year's party, again, years ago. So I was just brutal. I started opening all the alcohol, pouring it down the sink. I can probably hear you lot screaming at me right now, like, "Don't do it!" I just got rid of everything. I decluttered me wealth corner as well, because if you listen to last week's episode, you'll have heard how cluttered it was. My wealth corner is basically the little bit of my hallway to the left when you first come in through my front door. It was so cluttered. The bay leaves in me wealth bowl were brown, just to put that into perspective, and it made me really see my space intentionally. So there we are, my bins are now full. I had to drive over to me local tip just to get rid of lots of crap. I went to the charity shop near me to donate some unused stuff. I sent lots of Jake's toys to his nursery that he no longer played with that other kids could still play with, and I lit a candle and I collapsed onto my couch after a whole weekend of decluttering. And honestly, I just thought to myself, wow, what a difference, right? Things look cleaner, the energy in the air felt lighter, if that's possible, and I just felt really content. I looked around the living room, I was sat there, I just had such a wave of contentment like wash over us, basically. It felt so, so good. Well, it did until I realized that I'd only done the bottom floor, hadn't I? Now, I live in a 3-story house, so I spent the next 2 or 3 days doing everything else up on the next 2 floors as well. It was a huge job. There were obviously loads of times where I thought, "I wish I'd never started this," but honestly, I felt so good doing it. Now, in Johnny's office on the middle floor, we have this IKEA Kallax unit, I think it's called. It's like a big wooden unit. It's got 16 spaces for 16 boxes. You hopefully know what I mean. And in 3 of those boxes were CDs, DVDs, old PlayStation games, Blu-rays. And so I went on to this website called Music Magpie— well, it was actually an app that I downloaded— I scanned them all in on my phone because you just scan the barcode. I got myself a big box, I sent them off, I got £142. Thank you very much. £142 for something that was just sat in my house that I've been saying to myself for years, we'll have a car boot sale one day, we'll go and we'll sell these to a charity shop one day. We'll go to that shop, what's it called, CEX I think it's called, where you take in your old CDs, DVDs, and they give you like a voucher so you can buy new ones. I just can't believe that I have just been sat on this for so long, that has just been dead stagnant energy in Johnny's office, and I got £142 for it. I probably wouldn't have got much more than that at a car boot sale, and to be honest, I didn't even have to leave the house. They sent a courier to collect it, it's gone. So I just thought I don't even have a CD player anymore. I listen to all my music online or on streaming or on YouTube or whatever. I don't have a DVD player anymore. Everything is on streaming apps. When would I ever need these again? If I was going to move house tomorrow, would they come with us? Chances I'd probably just chuck them in the bin. So I thought, take this opportunity, get rid of them now. And then the next day after that, my red ribbon came. So if you don't know, get to know. I went around the house, I tied red ribbon on all the waste pipes because Kimberly said the energy in the house, especially abundant energy, can be released and it can go down the drain pipe, in a sink, in a toilet, whatever else you've got going on for you in your house. So red represents fire. If you wrap a red ribbon around those waste pipes that are going down into the drain, that keeps all that abundant energy within your home. The fire literally holds it in your home. I thought, what have I got to lose? The ribbon itself cost £1.50. £1.50 for a whole roll. It's not breaking the bank or anything like that. Honestly, I'm not just saying this, right, but my house feels energetically matched with who I am right now. And I know that sounds odd or weird to say, but I feel like I would be down my office, I'd come home, and I'd be like, 'Ugh, this shithole.' But now it's almost like I walk in and I take a sigh of relief. So yeah, intentional decluttering for the win. And the thing is, it wasn't just about throwing stuff away either. It was just more about choosing what gets to stay in my energy field. I wasn't then keeping things out of guilt, or just in case, or because it reminded me of a past version of me. I was keeping the things that matched who I am now and who I'm becoming in the future. So every bag that I got rid of, it felt like something heavy lifting from my mind as well. My house wasn't cluttered because I was lazy, don't get us wrong. It was cluttered because I was actually growing faster than my space was. And when your outer space catches up with your inner growth, that's when things start to shift. So I honestly felt like I'd made space for new opportunities, new ideas, and a new chapter just by letting go of what was taking up space physically and mentally. So if you are feeling stuck, or you're heavy, or overwhelmed, just a bit bleh, You know, look at your environment. Your space is a mirror. When you clear that with intention, you're not just tidying, you're aligning yourself with it. Okay, whether it's a drawer, a wardrobe, a bedside table, just try asking yourself that one question: would I take this with me into my next chapter? If I was to move house tomorrow, would I take this with us? If the answer is no, thank it, bin it, donate it, let it go. You'll be amazed how much lighter you feel. Trust us, it's not about tidying our houses or anything like that. It's about tidying your energy. So off the back of that, something else happened. Okay, so that was that. A few days after I'd finished this, I attended a strategy away day— can we call it that?— with two lovely people who are going to be on stage at Manifest 2026. So Dr. Donna and Cheryl. Now, these two women, they've come into my life so much over the last couple of years, I'm going to say. And for one reason or another, I've unintentionally blanked them. I've unintentionally blanked them. So for perspective, they had messaged me because they wanted to speak at Manifest last year. They had messaged me because they wanted to come on the podcast. They'd messaged me to say that they had chosen my book Limitless as book of the month. I had not seen any of their messages. Now, for context, my inbox is filled with people trying to sell me bloody fake crystals from China. That's all I get, literally 20, 30 messages a day. Most of me messages then go to spam because I'm always like complaining in Instagram, so they now mark everything as spam. And that's part of the reason why I always advise people, you know, to email us about orders and the likes, because I just never see me messages. Anyway, at last year's event at Manifest, Susie Ashworth said to me, there's a couple of women who you'd love called Donna and Cheryl. They're from up here, they're from your neck of the woods. And guess what? I let that go over me head as well, thinking, who the hell are Donna and Cheryl? Then one of me friends had a baby about 6 months ago. She had a photo shoot with a photographer. They got talking about me and And guess what? She recommended Donna and Cheryl to her as well because she's their photographer. So there I am, feeling a little stagnant and in a bit of a slump a couple of weeks ago, business not exactly going the best it could. And I messaged my friend Julie and I said, "Are you going to any self-development seminars or workshops anytime soon? Because I've not been to a single one this year and I just feel like I need a day out of the office to learn from someone else." Guess what she texts back? She's going to an Aware Day here in Newcastle with Donna and Cheryl Horston. So straight away I go to message them to ask about how to get tickets and asking if I could go, and I see all of the above. I see all the messages that they've sent us, all the times they've tried to get in touch. I felt like crap. So to cut a very long story short, I went to their event, and what a transformational day it was. I'm getting them both on the podcast very shortly to talk all things manifestation and mindset because you lot need to meet them. They are so inspirational. But we did a lot of journaling, we did a lot of visualizing, a lot of introspective work, and suddenly it was like I had floodgates open in me mind. Just by doing this work, it was like everything opened in my mind and I got clarity for the first time this year. I was just saying how the price of crystals had shot up recently, and the price of postage, the price of packaging, how I'm being constantly hammered by the taxman for VAT, and the only viable thing for me in business right now is to maybe try and boost funds by upgrading my offering on the Academy, because on there I'm not having to post anything out, I'm not having to buy any stock. Yes, I'm obviously paying the website fees, the transaction fees, but what I'm not doing is having to buy £10,000-15,000 worth of stock every single month, wiping out me bank balance in the process, and then having to pay £10,000 VAT every 3 months to the taxman because of buying from mines abroad and not purchasing here in the UK. So off the back of this event, I went home. That night I had the most vivid dream. It was almost like I'd stepped into the future me of what I was doing the very next day. So surreal, I can't really explain it much better than that. I saw clear as day me creating an 11th of the 11th bundle, okay? I saw myself recording a subliminal for it. I saw myself creating little phone wallpapers. I saw myself creating a guided meditation, a workbook. It almost felt to me like the energy of being in my zone of genius. And so when I woke up, I immediately thought, "I need to action this." I wrote it straight down into the Notes app on me phone, and I basically got to work that morning. Within a couple of hours, I'd created a page on me website for it, I'd created an email to go out that night, and I made a start on the content. That night, after a long day, maybe, I don't know, 12 to 13 hours later, I sent out the email, I closed me laptop, and I went to bed. So imagine my delight when I wake up the next morning to see that 650 people had bought this bundle at £11.11. 650 of you. Six-five-zero. If you are one of those people, honestly, thank you so, so much from the bottom of my heart. Honestly, you have no idea how close I've been in the last— I'm gonna say 3 to 4 months for transparency— how close I've been to closing down Cani Crystals for not being able to afford to keep it running. This money paid my VAT bill with a day to spare. Honestly, money is so tight right now. I'm paying myself about £6 an hour with all I do in me business for total transparency as well. But this made me see what is possible. The vision I'd had in me dream helped me out all off the back of this event. So getting clear on where I wanted to go in life, which direction I was headed, how I wanted to help other people moving forward. Because I think it's one thing selling people crystals, isn't it? But then it's very rare that I ever hear anything back from them. Yes, they'll leave a review on the website being like, 'Oh, this is amazing, thank you so much,' but I don't hear about their transformation. Whereas in the Academy, I'm constantly conversing with everyone in there and hearing all these wins firsthand. So if someone is doing the Manifesting Money Masterclass, for example, they might leave a comment underneath one of the lessons, and I'll comment back to it, and we'll have a little conversation, and I can see what they've implemented and how it's helped them. On my members call, members are constantly telling me different things, and I'm giving them advice and stuff like that, and then they'll message me through the community. It all helps because I can physically see the start to the end of their transformation. So I thought This is the way forward for my business. The next day I had a tarot reading. This blew my mind. Guess what she told me? She told me my business is the most stagnant it's ever been and I'm not happy with it. She said that I've got so many ideas in my head but I'm not able to do anything about them because I feel stuck in an office packing boxes day in day out, not being able to be creative and how I help people, not being able to be creative in business. I didn't tell her a single thing about my business or about me before I went on the call. In fact, I even booked the tarot reading under a different name just so she wouldn't know. I've also got a burner account email that I use. Oi oi. So she then goes on to tell me that she could see me doing large-scale events, and I thought, hello, Manifest 2026, thank you very much. And then she said there's a huge opportunity on the horizon within the week or so for you to save money and still do what you love to do while helping people. Lo and behold, just 24 hours after that reading, my friend Julie sends us a voice note with an offer of an office space which is about 5 times bigger than what I have right now, and a staff member that she is currently already paying a wage to. She doesn't have a lot of work to give her, so she was like, you can have this staff member. That blew my mind. So I am seriously considering this offer because if I do this, not only will it help me out financially and help the business grow, but Julie is incredible. She's so full of ideas as well, and I often think that when you're around people like this, you're able to then bounce ideas around each other and be creatively free. So if you came to Manifest This Year, Julie is the blonde woman that would have checked you in when she first came in. She volunteered that day free of charge. I was so grateful to her. But yeah, what an opportunity. So that's potentially on the cards as well. And then just to top it all off, someone messaged us and they said, "Hey, hope you're okay. I can't afford £10 a month for Manifest with Mart Tweedy, but I would love to join at some point in the future. However, I do love to work every now and again around the full and new moons, so would you be willing to sell the live call, like the live recording of your membership, so I can still join in every now and again?" And I thought, you know what, I'll do one better. Because in Manifest with Mart, every 2 weeks we go live on a full or a new moon. We journal, we do a little meditation, a little activity, we have a question and answer session, we do an oracle card poll. But they also get community access when we're not on calls, and access to my resource library of like over 100 subliminals, meditations, past call recordings, EFT scripts. So I thought How can I help this woman and so many others that probably can't afford this £10 a month also? So I created a Manifest with the Moon bundle similar to the 11:11 bundle that I'd done, where people can just click it, download it, and do it in their own time. And you lot have been going mad for it. The feedback that I've had so far has been incredible. So I'm going to start and do these every full moon or every new moon, so every 2 weeks. So you basically get a workbook tarot pull, subliminal meditation, um, a phone wallpaper, and a ritual for you to do for just £6 whenever you want it. There's no subscription, it's just there whenever you want it. This is how I can help people. I don't always have to stick to the offers that I've got. I can customize it for certain people, I can break it down, I can reduce the cost. So when I've done a bit of reflection, I've looked back at these last couple of weeks I don't think that it was just about decluttering, creating a bundle, or even having like one successful idea. For me, it was more about recognizing the shift, a shift in how I want to run my business, how I want to show up, and how I want to help other people. Because in all honesty, this is why I started Canny Crystals. I wasn't in this for the monetary gain. I was still working in the NHS at the time. Yes, I was skint, 'Yes, the extra additional money was a bit nice, do you know what I mean? But it was more about helping people out of the depths of despair because I'd been there myself. I'm going to get back to those roots. I'm going to do whatever I can to show up and help other people.' And I realized when I said this to myself that I've been trying to grow while still clinging to structures and routines that belong to the old version of me. Now, sometimes the universe has to give you that nudge, or in my case, 9 bin bags of clutter and a dream at 3 AM just to help us see it. But what this whole experience has showed us is that clarity rarely arrives when life feels busy, chaotic, or cramped, physically or mentally. It arrives when we slow down, when we make space, and when we actually allow it in. So whether that's clearing a cupboard, whether it's journaling with intention, or maybe even sitting with those questions that we usually avoid, the clearer my house got, the clearer my thoughts got. The clearer my thoughts got, the more aligned action I could take. And that's when I stopped reacting and I started creating. Okay, so thank you again if you were one of those people who bought that 11:11 bundle or the Moon bundle, or you supported any of the recent offers. You didn't just help me keep my business alive, you really reminded me of why I do this. Why I do this. It's the feedback, the messages, the breakthroughs that you shared from doing the work, and it genuinely reignited something deep inside of us, and it made us realize that this isn't just about products or content, it's about impact, you know, transformation, community, being part of your journey, not just supplying you tools for it. And that's exactly what I want to focus on now, stepping more into guidance and teaching creating resources that help you go deeper, feel clearer, get better results. Obviously, I'm not going to get rid of crystals. I mean, how can I be Connie Crystals and not sell crystals?
Duh.
I still want to be able to offer tools like this for you all to use. I just think I maybe need to pass the handling of them to a staff member to help us out, and that will then ultimately give me the brain space of creating how to best serve you all, if that makes sense. So that's where I feel most lit up up, and I want to bring more of that into everything I create moving forward. So I want you to clear space for new ideas as we go into 2026. I really want you to do this. I want you to clear space for new ideas. I want you to follow these random nudges that you get. I want you to trust those visions, even if they come in a dream to you, just like mine did. But most importantly, I want you to remind yourself that when something feels aligned and joyful and expansive, that is the universe telling you to keep going. Okay, so one last thing from me is that just to quickly formally announce, we have just announced another main stage speaker this week. So the incredible Poppy Dellbridge has just been announced for Sunday the 14th of June 2026 at Manifest. Can you believe we are less than 7 months away from Manifest? Less than 7 months. It's absolutely wild. This is the point when the ticket sales absolutely boom as well. We're at 55 to 60% tickets sold so far, but I think last year it was January and February that all the tickets sold out. So if you do want tickets, go to mani-fest.uk. Click the link in the show notes if you can't type that in for any reason. Um, but yeah, Poppy Delbridge is joining us on Sunday the 14th of June. If you don't know Poppy already, go back and listen to her episode on the podcast. Poppy is an incredible EFT and tapping teacher. She is going to take us through an incredible transformation on the day, and she is going to be teaching us all how to do some rapid tapping and tap into that peace, clarity, and calm that we all want. So please do come and join us there. If you have enjoyed this episode, please leave a rating or a review. Don't forget to head to cannycrystals.co.uk for all your 3 for 2 for the next week for Black Friday, or cannycrystalsacademy.co.uk using the code Black Friday for 40% off all courses. ACAS powers the world's best podcasts. Here's a show that we recommend.
I'm Monica Reinagel, nutritionist, author, and host of the Nutrition Diva podcast. We dig into the questions that you are actually asking. If it's okay to drink coffee on an empty stomach, whether it's possible to retrain your sweet tooth, which ultra-processed foods you might actually want to include in your diet. We take a closer look at diet trends, Trends, fact-check sketchy claims, and track down the science so that you can feel more confident about what's on your plate. New episodes are released every Wednesday. Find Nutrition Diva on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you're listening, and be sure to follow or subscribe so you don't miss a single episode.
