232: Why you're not getting results...
27 Mar 2026 · 22 min
Mart Tweedy argues that people already know the tools for change—EFT tapping, journaling, subliminals—but lack consistency. His 14-day Abundance on Tap course shows rapid results because participants finally commit and repeat. One client, Francesca Amber, sold nearly £15,000 of subliminal audios by using them consistently.

Hello everyone, welcome back to another episode of Canny Crystals, the podcast. My name is Mart Tweedy, I'm your host, and this week I've had a little bit of a realization. And if I'm honest, it's one that's a little slightly frustrating actually, but not in a bad way, but kind of more like, you know, we've all been sat on something for years without realizing just how powerful it actually is. Because I've been running Abundance on Tap this week, which is my 14-day EFT tapping course for enhancing your money mindset. And we're literally on day 2 as I record this. Day 2, the second day, as in the number 2, and the messages that have been coming in on our little private members WhatsApp group are absolutely mental. People are getting random free things out of nowhere. Money is landing in their account at that exact moment that they thought about it. Opportunities have been opening up without them having to chase it. There's literally shifts happening almost instantly.. And I'm going to say this, right? It's not just one or two people that this is happening to. It's loads. And what it made me actually think about it was that none of this is new. There's nothing in this course that people haven't heard before. Not a great plug for the course, but you know what I'm trying to say? Like tapping, EFT, journaling, shifting your thoughts. These are things that most people have known about for years. Years. You've probably heard me talk about them before. You'll have seen other people do them online. You might have even tried them once or twice yourself. So the question for me really is, if the tools have been around this whole time, why are we only just starting to get results now? Why weren't those shifts happening 6 months ago or a year ago, 5 years ago when that person first heard about it? And the answer is actually really simple. But it's also the bit that people don't want to actually look at. Because it's not that you need more information in your life, it's just that you're not applying what you already know, what you already have in your head, in a way that actually creates change. Because for me personally, I think there's a big difference between knowing something and actually doing it. There's a big difference between, "Oh yeah, I've heard of Tap and Mart," and actually sitting down and doing it consistently, day in, day out, with accountability, even when you don't feel like it. There's a big difference between, "I know I should be thinking positively," but actually catching yourself in the moment and shifting your thoughts. And that's where most people get stuck. So when I'm running a course, I always think about accountability and how I can level that up. And I think that's pretty much what I've done with the last two courses that I've run. We've had little private members WhatsApp groups. Yes, they're raucous. Yes, they get a bit wild. Anyone that's inside them will tell you exactly that. But it holds everyone to account. And people keep looking for the next best thing, don't they? The next method or the next breakthrough, when actually, in reality, the thing that would change everything for them is already in their hands. They're just not using it. So in this episode, I want to talk about that properly, like why we do this, why we avoid the things that actually work, and what happens when you stop searching and instead you just start applying what you already know. Because What I've seen this week is proof that it doesn't need to take years. You can collapse timelines in days. In days. Things can shift rapidly and quickly, but it's only when you actually do the work and not just know about it. So what I'm here to say ultimately is you already know more than you think you do. Because after seeing all of this unfold for the last few days, the thing that really stood out to me wasn't just the results. It was how simple the tools were that created them. There was nothing new in what people were doing. There was no secret method that I'd put in the course. There was no hidden technique. I told everyone from the get-go it was tapping. There wasn't any like, this is the one thing that you've been missing your whole life, you know, when people sell you loads of shit basically to get you to buy a course. It was just things that they'd already heard before. So the main things that we've concentrated on in the first 2 days are tapping, journaling, paying attention to your thoughts, and letting yourself actually feel abundant in small real-life moments. Which is all stuff that, if I'm honest, most people don't take that seriously when they first come across it. So you might hear about EFT and tapping and think, "Yeah, I've seen that before." Or you might hear about affirmations and think, "I already know all that." You've probably journaled once or twice before in your life and then just not got around to completing like a full week and just left it. And then what happens? You move on. You assume because you've heard it, you've already done it. But there's a massive, massive difference of being aware of something and actually applying it in a way that creates change. Because what I've seen this week is people not just trying these new things, they're actually doing them properly. They're sitting with it. They're repeating it multiple times in the day. And they're sticking with it even when it might feel a bit uncomfortable or pointless at first. You know, we've already had tears. We're on day 2. It brings up a lot of raw emotion for people, but that's when things start to move. Not because the tools suddenly became more powerful, but because they actually used it and they used it repeatedly. And I think this is where a lot of people unintentionally hold themselves back in life. They are constantly looking for the next big thing, that better thing, or the more advanced thing, when really if they just went all in on what they already know, they'd probably start to see results much quicker than they'd expect. And it's almost like we've normalized known things without actually embodying them. So, you know, we'll collect information from the internet, but then we won't let it change us, and then we wonder why nothing's shifting in our lives. But when you actually apply something consistently, even something really fucking simple, that's when it stops just being a tool and it starts to become something that genuinely changes your reality. And that's exactly what I've been watching happen this week, because you don't get results from dabbling, you get results from repetition. And this is the part that people tend to skip over because it doesn't sound exciting, does it? But it's the part that actually makes the difference. So what I've noticed, not just this week but over the years of doing this— I'm coming into my 5th year of Can You Crystals next Monday— And what I've noticed is that people, well, most people don't fully apply something. They just dabble in it. So what I mean by that is they'll try tapping once, maybe twice at a push, but if they don't feel a huge shift straight away, they just think, "Oh, this isn't for me," and they move on. Or they'll journal when they feel like it, but not when it actually matters. Or they'll buy a crystal and they'll put it on their windowsill and then just expect it to work for the rest of eternity. Or they'll listen to an affirmation or a subliminal here and there, but there's no real consistency behind it. And then they just tell themselves that same old story: "It didn't really work for me." But it didn't not work, did it? It just wasn't done enough. Because these tools aren't designed to give you one big moment and everything changes overnight. It's not a magic pill. These tools work with repetition. They work by showing your mind a new way of thinking over and over and over again in a controlled environment until it stops feeling new and it starts feeling like the norm. And that's the bit that people underestimate, because it's not the intensity of what you do once, it's the consistency of what you do daily. So what I've seen inside this challenge that we've been doing the last 2 days is people actually committing to it. So they're not questioning it every 5 minutes, wondering why their manifestation hasn't shown up yet. They're not half-ass doing it. They're not stopping and starting. They are literally just doing the work each day and properly. And it's literally— I keep on telling them, it's 14 days for the rest of your life. If you can't sacrifice 10 minutes a day for 14 days, then you don't deserve your manifestations, if I'm totally honest with you. And because of that, their mind is starting to shift a lot quicker. So they're starting to notice things differently, they are reacting to situations differently, and they're allowing things into their that they probably would have blocked before. And then guess what? The results follow. It's not random, it's not luck, it's simply repetition creating that new baseline. And I think this is where a lot of people need to be really honest with themselves, because it's not that you don't know what to do, it's just that you haven't stayed the course long enough for it to actually work. You're not actually letting it work. That's all it comes down to. And this is a bit of a harder like problem to hear, isn't it? But it is important. A lot of people say that they're doing the work. I used to do it all the time. I'd be like, yeah, I teach this stuff every day. Yeah, well done, Mart, gold star. But are you actually applying this to your own life? And the answer for me was no. So a lot of people might say that they're doing the work, but at the same time they're quietly blocking it, not intentionally, but it's just how they've learned to operate. So they might do the tapping but then straight away after they'll go back into that state of worry. Or they'll journal about abundance, but then they'll spend the rest of the day focusing on what's missing. Or they might listen to affirmations, but internally they're still questioning whether any of this is real. So what happens is they never fully let that shift to land. If you think about it, right, it's like taking one big step forward and then pulling yourself back two spaces without realizing it. And this is why it can feel like nothing is changing for you, even though you're doing, in inverted commas, like, everything, because you're not actually allowing the new belief to settle. You might be testing it, you might be watching it online, you might be waiting to see if it works before you actually relax fully into it, but that's just going to keep you in the same place. So what I've noticed with the people who are getting results quickly is that they're not overthinking it. They're not constantly checking if it's working, and they're not analyzing every little thing. They're just letting themselves go with the flow. They're letting themselves feel a bit more abundant, even if it is small. We've had a few people today that have got like, I think it was 60 pence off their shopping or something. I said you need to celebrate every single small win, and people are noticing little wins instead of dismissing them. And the more that we start to notice something, The more we train our brain to look for those moments, and then straight away your RAS comes online and it starts thinking, okay, we're grateful for these small wins, show me some more evidence that there are small wins out there. Before you know it, it starts to snowball and the huge wins start coming. So people inside this course are allowing the shift instead of questioning it. And I think that changes everything because the moment that you stop resisting the new way of thinking, it actually has space to become your new normal. And once it becomes your new normal, your reality starts to reflect that back to you. So what I'm trying to say here ultimately really is that it's not always about doing more, more tools or techniques. Sometimes it's just about getting out of your own way and letting what you're already doing actually work for you. Because you're underestimating the tools that work quietly, if I'm honest. This is something that I see all the time, and like I say, I've been reminded of it again this week. People tend to value the things that feel active, the things where you feel like you're physically doing something. But for me personally, some of the most powerful shifts for me have come from the things that work in the background, like subliminals. They're a perfect example of that. They don't feel dramatic. You're not sat there having a big emotional breakthrough and crying your eyes out. You're not consciously thinking through anything, are you? So people just tend to dismiss them. They think, "Oh, that music's nice, it's calming, but it's not really doing much, is it?" When in reality, it's working on the part of your mind that actually runs everything. So I use subliminals every single night. I've got this sleep band that I got off Amazon. I'll pop the link in the show notes if anyone wants it. It's absolutely fucking amazing. But it's a sleep band and it's got built-in headphones. And I'll just put them on and I'll let them play while I sleep. Doesn't feel like you've got anything in your ears. Nobody else can hear it in the room other than me, and I can still hear me little boy if he cries through the night. It takes no effort. All I have to do is put it on over me head before I go to sleep and press play on me phone. There's no overthinking, there's no trying to get it right, it's just automatically working. And that consistency night after night, that's what creates the shift, because your subconscious doesn't need you to be trying harder, it just needs a bit of repetition. And I saw this so clearly last week while I've been working with Fran. You know Francesca Amber from Law of Attraction Changed My Life? So I've been working with Fran, helping her out with her website admin and all of that. So Fran hadn't changed anything major. She had no new strategy. There was no big launches. There was nothing different structurally. All she did was share honestly how her subliminals have been helping her by listening to them overnight. That's all she did. And guess what? She sold just under £15,000 worth of subliminal audios that last week. Now, those subliminals are £15 each to buy, so she sold just under 1,000 of those in a week. I think that's absolutely wild. And people weren't buying this because it was new. People were buying it because they were reminded just how powerful subliminals actually are when they're used properly. So it's like people forget things. People forget all these tools and techniques. They want something more complicated or more advanced, something that feels like a bigger shift. But the truth is, the simplest tools are often the ones that create the biggest change—when you actually stick with them, of course. And subliminals are one of those things. They don't demand your time. They don't require you to feel anything. They just work seamlessly in the background and consistently reshape the way that you think without you even realizing it. But only if you actually use them. Not once, not once a month, not occasionally, consistently. And I think that's the theme of this whole episode, really. It's not about you finding better tools. Everything— if you've been a long-term listener of this podcast, for example, I'll have talked through every single tool or technique that I've ever used in these episodes. I've given you the information for free. It's more about finally respecting and using the ones that you know work. And I think something else that stands in people's way is that they're waiting to feel ready before they do it properly. And what I mean by that is that people wait until they feel motivated or aligned or even in the right mood, and then they'll do the work properly. So they'll think, "I'll journal when I feel up to it," or, "I'll do the tapping when I've got the energy." "Or I'll listen to the subliminals when I've got a bit of time and I can focus on it." Now, on the surface, that sounds reasonable, doesn't it? But the problem is, the moments that you need those tools the most are the exact moments that you don't feel like doing them. So it could be when you're stressed, or when you're doubting everything that's going on, or when you feel a bit flat or disconnected. Because that's when the work actually matters. But instead, that's when most people tend to avoid it. So what happens is they only ever apply these tools when they already feel okay, which means that nothing really actually changes. So the shift comes when you start doing it regardless of how you feel, when you stop negotiating with yourself, and when you don't need to feel inspired to show up for it, and you just do it because you know that it works. And again, this is exactly what I've been seeing this week inside the challenge. People are doing the tapping even when they're not fully in it. They're doing the activities even when part of them is questioning it, but they're doing it anyway. And because of that, they are creating their consistency, and consistency creates safety in your mind, and it starts to learn, this is what we do now, this is just who we are. And once something becomes normal, it's going to stop feeling like effort because you're going to start building it into habit. So it's not about waiting until you feel ready. It's more about deciding that you're doing it and then letting the feelings catch up after. That's where the real shift is going to happen for you. But trust me when I say this, it's only going to work when you decide that this matters for you. Because something that I've really noticed this week is that the people that are getting the biggest shifts in the WhatsApp group, they aren't doing anything wildly different. They've just decided that this time this course matters. So they're not doing things half-assed. They're not treating it like something that they'll try and see how it goes and see how they feel by day 3. They're not already thinking about what they'll do next if this doesn't work. They've simply made a quiet decision that they're actually going to give this their full attention. And that changes everything. They are giving it their full attention. Because most people don't lack knowledge, like I said earlier, they just lack commitment. To what they already know, and they'll dip in and out. They'll do a bit and then they'll stop, or they'll start again and then question it, and the mind will never fully catch up because it's constantly being interrupted. But when you decide that something matters, your behavior shifts without you actually forcing it. So you'll start to show up differently. You might even start to listen properly, and you'll apply it instead of just consuming it. And your mind picks up on that. It starts to take it more seriously itself, and that's when the work starts to go deeper. So tapping will land more, subliminals will start to feel normal, then your thoughts will begin to shift without you having to constantly monitor them. So it's not that the tools suddenly became more powerful, it's that you did. You stopped treating them like optional extras and you started treating them like something that's actually part of your life. And from that place, change doesn't feel like something that you're chasing anymore. It feels like something that you're allowing. And that's why things can move so quickly when you finally decide that you're all in. Because I'm going to say this, but you don't need another breakthrough. You just need to go all in on what you already know. So if you take anything from this episode, Let it be that you don't need another tool or technique. You don't need another method. You don't need to keep searching for the thing that's finally going to make manifestation click for you. Because the chances are you've already come across the things that would change everything for you. You've heard about tapping. You've heard about affirmations. You've journaled before. You've listened to something that made you feel different, even if it was just for a moment. The difference isn't in discovering something new. It's in deciding the what you already know is enough, and actually giving it the attention that it deserves. Because what I've seen this week in my group, it's proven that people aren't getting results in this group because they've found some hidden secret. They are getting real results because they've stopped skimming the surface and they've started actually applying what's in front of them, like properly, consistently, and without constantly second-guessing it. And I think that when you do that, Things don't take as long as you think. Like I said earlier, you can collapse timelines in days. Shifts can happen super quickly, not because it's magic or witchcraft or anything like that, but because you finally created the conditions for it to work. So instead of asking yourself, "What else do I need this week?" I think a better question might be, "What do I already know that I'm not fully using yet?" Because that's usually where the answer is.. And I think if you're honest with yourself, you'll probably already know what that is. So I hope that this episode has landed for you. I hope it spoke to your soul.
