Ever heard the term micro competition? What it's about is creating sub competitions within a competition. And why is that important? Because you always have people at the top and you always have people at the bottom and that's just how it is. But moving the middle makes a difference. And when you create a competition with the middle in it, little tiny competitions which are called micro competitions happen where each person competes with the person just around them and and because they're competing with just those people around them, they're all shifting to fight to move. And ultimately what that does is move the entire pipeline. Many places use micro competitions. For example, on a PlayStation, when you're playing, it'll just show the score of the person above you and below you. And that's because they're just trying to make you move up that little bit. It's a great technique in gamification and it's an excellent thing to do. Create competitions.
