This is a YouTube video titled "Extrinsic vs. Intrinsic Rewards: Which One Drives Performance?" containing a monologue or talk discussing the differences between extrinsic and intrinsic rewards in a workplace context, emphasizing the greater impact of intrinsic rewards tied to measurable achievements. The content appears to be a single speaker presentation without multiple participants.
Extrinsic versus intrinsic rewards. What's the difference? Well, imagine you've got some points that you give to someone and they can buy something in a shop that's extrinsic. It's not tied to anything particularly other than as a manager. You go here you have some points. Intrinsic, which I believe personally is far more powerful is tied to something like a leaderboard, something you actually did, a KPI that you actually hit and measured a big difference. Think about which one in your company using whether it's extrinsic or intrinsic and you can use both. But I believe personally that the intrinsic is far more powerful because as a person you got something because you did something, not just because a manager thought it was a good idea to give it to you, which sometimes they may have forgotten to give it to you as opposed to if it's a competition or leaderboard, you're always going to get it if you hit your target.
