Google Sheets/Excel + Spinify

Mia walks through connecting Google Sheets or Excel to Spinify competitions when your CRM doesn't have a direct integration. She shows how to set up spreadsheets, configure leaderboards, and manage competition settings in Spinify.
Hi, it's Mia from Spinify. Have you been looking into gamification solutions but haven't quite found one that integrates with your CRM or data app? Well, don't worry, because spinify have the perfect solution for you, so keep watching to find out more. So in today's video, I'm going to walk you through how you can set up your Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel workbooks to use in spinify competitions. This is particularly useful if you currently use a CRM or data app that Spinify doesn't directly integrate with. They can either be self managed by either yourself as a leader or your team, or you can automatically push data from your CRM to your Google Sheet or Excel workbook. But you may need to speak with your development team to set this up. Okie dory. So the first thing we're going to do is to jump into your Google Drive or your Microsoft OneDrive and then from there you're going to create a new Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel workbook. So there's two fields you absolutely have to have in your spreadsheet, and that is the email addresses and a field to keep score. Now, you can name these however you want to, as long as they contain the data that you need to integrate into your Spinify account. So the email addresses must match the same as what you have for your users in your Spinify account. So let's say email and sales. Then you type in the emails, and once you've got all your emails in, you can start putting in your scores. So they may be how many sales that your players are making, which is what I'm doing in this instance, or it may be how many calls they've made, how many emails they've sent, how many deals they've had, you know, how many meetings they've taken. Whatever it is that you're scoring, you can put into this spreadsheet and you can, as long as you have, you know, at least one score column. You can use this spreadsheet for multiple things. So you can put down sales and calls or meetings and emails, whatever it is that you want to track. And then you can use the same spreadsheet to track multiple things on multiple leaderboards in spinify. So once your scores and your emails all set up, you, you can save it as something that will be easily recognizable to you in your spinify instance. In this case, I'm just going to label it spinify. So once that's all set up and the Google Sheet is saved in your Google Drive or your Excel is saved in your OneDrive, you can now add it to your Spinify competitions. So if we jump into your My Spinify account now and then click on the competitions icon, then create competition, then just select the competition type that suits you and then select the design that sticks out to you. So may depend on what you're tracking as to what type of design you are looking for. In this case though, I'm going to go to standard leaderboard. So just give your leaderboard a name and a description and set your duration. Next, make sure you're on connected apps and then select your filter. So in this case you will want to make it Google Sheets, Data or Excel. Set your target, if applicable to the type of leaderboard you've chosen and then choose your sheet. So in this case we want Spinify and then you can set the tabs up as they are on the spreadsheet. So you want to choose email for emails and in this case sales for the score column and then click on Next. So now you can decide whether it's individual based or teams based. I'm going to just select individual. I'm going to add all of my players on and then you can change your permissions to player and spectator depending on how you want them to be involved with the competition. If you you want their score to, you know if you want them to be a participant in the competition or if you just want them to be able to view the competition. Now you can add them to the TV channels and set up your announcement settings. So I'm just going to leave mine as they are and same with gamification. And now you can set up your theme. So I'm going to just stick with what I've already got here. Click on Add Competition. So now that leaderboard is successfully created and we can go in and view it how it will look. And there we have it. So now you know how easy it is. There's no excuse really. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Plus jump over to spinify.com and book your free personalized demo today.
