Hi everyone, it's Mia here from Spinify and today I'm going to walk you through our messages feature. Messages are an excellent way to keep your team updated, informed, inspired and have a bit of fun. So let's dive in and show you how it's done. Okie dokie, artichoke. So obviously the first step will be to log into your MySpinify account. You'll land on your dashboard page here. So you want to jump over into the announcements icon and then click on Messages. From there you just click on Create message to create a new one. So we've got quite a few message types. As you can see they're pretty self explanatory as to what they're about. So you just go ahead and select whichever one speaks to you. In this particular case we are going to set up an announcement. So to do that we just jump over, hover over the announcement message type and click Create. So for announcement message types and also Countdown message types, you will be able to utilize Sidekick. So you select the category to help you create your message and then Sidekick will get to work, which I'll show you in a minute. All other message types will bring you straight to this section where you can enter in your title and your message. So here we'll utilize Psychic. So we'll say that we want an inspirational message. And once you select your message category, you'll see here that it gets to work creating the message for you. So you can either go with this, you can make up your own, you can click Try again to see what else it can conjure up for you. Or if you're happy with what it has said here, then you just go down and continue setting up your additional settings. So we can set a color theme, an entrance animation, you can say if you want it sent from someone in particular, or it can be anonymous or who it should focus on, whether a user or a team. Or if you don't want it to focus on anyone, want to keep it generic. And now you can set up your customizations so you can choose a TV background. So quite a few here. I'm going to go for baby animals because those are always cute. Little love a hedgehog. That's super cute. Click on Save and then you can choose your desktop background. This is essentially the layout of the message. Or you can click on don't show notification on desktop if you just want to keep it to the tv. So desktop background, we'll go with this one here and click Save. Here is where you decide how long you want the message to be displayed. So you can either display it straight away or at a different time of your choosing. How long you want it displayed till so you select whatever works for you. How long? The message should be shown on the screen each time it plays, so it will automatically be 45 seconds. So you can make it more or less time than that depending on how long you would like it on the screen. So you can choose a sound file if you'd like one to play. So we have a list here that you can choose from. You can also upload your own custom sound or you can select none. And now you can select the channel you would like to add it to. So you can add it to all channels if you like, or you can select channels one by one from the list here. So once you're happy with how your message looks, you just jump up to the top and click on Create message. And here's our new message here. So if I jump over into our TV channel, so it was our messages channel that we added it to. I'm just going to click on the TV icon which will launch the channel into my desktop. And here is our message here on the TV channel. So that's how it looks. So you can have a look through. We have a couple of different message types already on this channel as well. So this is a motivational quote. We've got a countdown here, we've got our weather report and we've got a meme. So there you have a super easy way to keep your team motivated, inspired and updated.
