This is a YouTube video titled "Sales Competition Prizes: Cash vs. Bragging Rights 🏆" containing a monologue or talk discussing the importance of non-monetary rewards in sales competitions, emphasizing that bragging rights and recognition often matter more to salespeople than cash prizes. The speaker shares insights based on experience running over a million competitions worldwide with Spinify.
When creating competitions, how important is it to give money for those competitions? And we've ran well over a million competitions around the world in Spinify and I can tell you it just isn't so. There's things like points, badges, having a store where you can then get something with those. They're all important. But ultimately what matters to most salespeople apart from quotas and hitting things, but just the competitions that you run on TVs, it's all about just winning. It's about bragging rights that means so much more to a, to a rep, especially front of their peers than what it was for. Just here, have this. Now other things you can do in your organization is you can give them something like here, have this bottle of champagne, have this bag of chocolates. So there's many other different ways you can do it. It doesn't always just have to be about cash. Remember that sometimes it's just purely about bragging with salespeople.
