This is a YouTube video titled "🔄 The Evolving Role of AEs in SaaS: Embrace AI Automation! 🤖" created in August 2024. The content features a single speaker discussing how the Account Executive (AE) role in SaaS is evolving due to AI and automation, emphasizing a shift away from traditional BDR tasks towards a stronger focus on closing deals and understanding customer needs with AI support.
In sas, the AE role is now changing as the BDR role is now dead. Some small, tiny parts of that BDR role, more about just simple processes and checking things that the AI creates, is now the place for that ae. Stronger focus on closing, stronger focus on the deal process as that role continually changes with AI, automation and process. Helping the rep better understand the deal, looking at every single interaction that they've had with the client, understanding the pain, and really being able to talk to that customer and understand is that fit there or is it not there and help them clearly understand the value in using a product like Spinify. If you're doing the same old things that you were doing years ago in your AE role, I strongly suggest you start looking at AI and how you can automate that.
