That this is exactly what you were looking for the entire time.
I'm your host and your coach, Megan Siemens. Now let's make some magic happen. Hello, my friend. Welcome back to the show. Today I have my dear friend and colleague Linda Sidhu on the show for such a nourishing conversation all about connections. Linda is the creator of the mixer mind, which you have heard from a lot of my friends that I have met in the mixer mind this year right here on the show in your earwaves. I have met truly some of the most incredible humans who are so aligned with their gifts. And Linda brought all of that together. And she really speaks through the wisdom. And when I say wisdom, she also shares a story that I feel like so many of us can relate to and was incredibly painful for Linda to move through in order to get to the other side and find how to create these true communities, these true connections that really allow us to thrive. And Linda has a four in her human design profile, which I also do, which I have come to find that so many of the people I've met in the mixer mind also have a four in their human design profile. And the four tells us that community and connections, especially in our inner circle, are where our greatest opportunities are likely to come from. And this is, I think, just another way of showing us that even if we don't know our human design, if we're living aligned, AKA we're living in a way that feels good for us, we're just gonna find ourselves in spaces, in places, in opportunities that create more purpose for us in life. So we definitely talk through a lot about connections, a lot about how you can find your community, how how Linda came to create this mixer mind, which actually was birthed from a horrible diagnosis and really allowed her to be this bird on the perch. And she really shows us how space can actually create some of our best results, even when we feel like we're.
A really fast moving human.
Linda is a manifesting generator in human design. And I know we've had a few manifesting generator friends on the show. Linda really takes us through her journey of letting the path reveal itself, really showing us how freedom and movement have just informed her and allowed her to just say yes to some really incredible things. And then we also balance that out with navigating the nos in life as well, and really how those sacred yeses and those sacred nos can be not just serving for ourselves but actually serves everyone else around us in our space.
We talk about so many amazing things in this episode.

Welcome to the show. Linda Sidhu.
Hey, Megan. I'm so happy to be here.
I'm so glad you're here. We were just chatting before we hit record and I literally was like, we need to hit record right now. Like, there's so much magic coming out already. It's. It's going to be a fun conversation.
Yes. I am thrilled. This is a unique approach to podcasting and I think it's super fun and really in alignment with what you're doing. So I'm really excited to be here.
Thank you. I received that. So, you know, when I consider guests that are coming on the show, I really think about who's being so intentional with living a life aligned. And you are so aligned with your human design specifically. But I would love to hear from you just in general, what does a life aligned look like, feel like and mean for you?
Great question. I think I don't know if it's me being aligned.
Yeah.
And being present, knowing that. Or if it's also just making sure other things in my life's a priority and having better boundaries around that. But to your point, I think I prioritize my son, my family first. I love my dog. I make sure she gets at least two walks, big walks a day.
Yeah.
And because of that, there's not a ton of Time to, you know, be sucked into work. So what that looks like is sprint sessions. I'll do a sprint session in the morning. I'll do a sprint session in the afternoon. But baked on the before and after of these sprint sessions are really, you know, in the morning, the priority is to make breakfast, make lunch for Liam, get him to school, walk my dog, and get some time for movement for myself. And that really sets the tone for a good day. And then I start a sprint session where I get as much work done as I possibly can in 90 minutes. Then I eat lunch, and I'll do another sprint session, and then I stop and I start the transition of becoming a mom again. So I start by walking Dakota.
Yeah.
And then after I walk Dakota for her afternoon walk, I'll pick up Liam from school. And I've already had time to transition into mom mode.
Yeah.
And, you know, by then, it's making dinner, playing games, making sure homework is done. But it is. And, you know, if I look at my year too, it's not just I prioritize the time with my family. So we set up vacations.
Yeah.
And we have those on the calendars before I set anything up for work.
Yeah.
So it's always leading with, am I living a life with the people I want to be with and seeing the things that I want to see as a priority before work.
Yeah.
I love that. And. And I love that you broke that down in, like, such a tangible way for people who are listening as well. Uh, and I feel like every time I'm talking to you on like, a boxer note or something like that, you're like, yeah, I'm just, like, out walking my dog. Or I'm like, on the way to, like, pick up Liam. And I'm like, oh, I love that you're just, like, intentionally placing what's so important to you in your life into each and every day. It's just. It's so cool to witness. And it's so cool to hear, like, the process of all of it as well. And like a day to day and also, like, zoomed out as well. And like your yearly.
Yeah. Yeah.
And we're actually recording this in March. And the reason why I'm bringing this up is because this weekend.
Yeah.
Throughout the year, I also bake in time to have solo weekends away for myself.
I love that.
And if one of these solo weekends are actually coming up.
Yeah.
Be Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. And I'm actually leaving to go to Sancadia, which we talked about on boxing one time, which is about 90 minutes east of Seattle. It's beautiful. It's in between mountains and evergreen trees and I feel really safe there. But I love to go there and hike.
Yeah.
And the crazy thing that happens is because I don't have my family and I'm prioritizing myself, what happens is I'll do the things that I love. I'll wake up and I'll go, actually, I'll eat like an eggs Benedict. I love their eggs Benedict at that hotel. Then I take a big hike. And the funny thing is, is all of a sudden, like, all my creativity that's been bottlenecked explodes. And then I have a session where I can just like download everything. And then that really sets me up for the year. And the reason why I'm just. Because I'm working on a keynote speech and that keynote is going to be turned into a workshop and the workshop is going to be turned into, you know, a little mini offer. And the mini offer is going to be attached to my new quiz. So there's. It's just time. So it's really like a work cation in a way.
Yeah.
But I get to sleep in. I get. And so I prioritize time downtime for myself so I can allow those creativity bursts to happen.
Yeah. Yeah.
It sounds like you really just like fill yourself up. Which I feel like is one of the number one things we can do to operate in full flow. Because if we're operating from empty, it's hard for our energy to be in that really aligned place.
100. Like you can't serve from an empty cup. Right. I'm sure we've all heard that.
Yeah.
So it's the number one thing I prioritize as well in regards to energy is sleep. So I do do a couple things before I go to bed. I usually listen to Grace Space for a hypnosis session to really just say goodbye to the day and just set the tone for a good night's sleep.
Yeah.
And then even if I don't have a great night's sleep, I wake up and I tell myself I received enough sleep that I needed for the day. And then I'm ready. And I think even just like having that mindset of like, even though I might be tired or the time changes just happened this week as well. But just saying to myself, I received enough sleep, I'm good.
Yeah.
And then if I need to go to bed early that next night, I will or whatever. But I do prioritize sleep to make sure I have the energy for all the things.
Yeah, yeah.
Healthy and all that. All the things that come with and exercising, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Just really taking your care of your body on like a holistic level. This is probably so incredibly nourishing for your energy type in human design which is manifesting generator. Our manifesting generators are our fast movers. They are our multi passionate makers. They are just our creators. They go really fast through the process and just make things happen. And they're designed to hold as many yeses as possible all at once. Which recently I've connected you on a project that you brought to life really through your human design. But I want to like rewind the journey a little bit because I've recently found out that you were a yellow page rep, then you were in pharma sales, then you were a quiz creator, now you have the mixer mind. I heard you on another podcast where you were like, I kind of just like leapfrogged into pharma sales and like every step has just revealed the next step. And this fast motion, this pivoting is. And this holding of multiple projects is truly like textbook manifesting generator energy. So I'm curious, how do you prioritize those like leapfrog moments? Those prioritize the excitement kind of moments?
Yes. That's hilarious. That is so true. And I guess I attribute it to, you know, how your life changes almost every four years in school. It's like you've got. Yeah. So you go through these little seasons or phases in life and then you sort of just go on to the next phase. Right. And what I realized have started happening to me was I, when I go all in on something, I go 110% all in.
Yeah.
Like I am not good at just being like, you know, 50 50. If I'm not feeling in alignment, it's best I just let it go and focus on something that I feel really excited about to make sure I'm, you know, present and living to my highest good. Right. And so I have had many different Linda's in my life. I'm still the same Linda. I say I am like a tornado, where it's like I go fast and I like do something and then it's like, oh, that's enough. Goodbye now. And then I like go tornado to do something else. And so when I'm doing the tornado and really focusing on that current energy, it's something I'm extremely passionate about. And if it's because I've moved directions and no longer, you know, I'm known for something or let go of a job is because that doesn't light me up anymore. So I always focus my energy on where my energy is. And so that's probably what you see with manifesting generators or if you see in myself. And I think it's okay to do that. So if you're a manager and just know that that's how your life is and that's how it's going to be. I always joked around too, like, I was surprised that I actually got married and I'm continued to be married because I was like, how can I make a commitment for so long when everything else is a shorter commitment. Now it's totally different. Right. Marriage is like completely different ball game. And he is the person I love and I want to continue to be with. But when it comes to like business and things that excite me, I allow myself to be creative and have fun and explore options.
Yeah. Yeah.
That's so fascinating. Oh my gosh. Like the manifesting generator energy always like sparks. Me too. I'm like, always get so excited when I hear a manifesting generator talk. So I'm like, oh my gosh, what adventure are we doing next? Like, it's so fun. That's so interesting what you're talking about with the marriage piece as well. And I know you're a 46 profile too. And that 6 line is the one that operates in three different phases of life. So birth to 30 is the first phase, second phase is 30 up, and then third phase is 50 up. Did you by chance. This may be a personal question, but did you by chance get married before you were 30 or was it after?
It was after.
It was after. So fascinating. Okay, so I'll break that down a little bit more. Okay, so the six line, that first phase, so birth to 30 is designed to be just like super messy. And you're not really designed to settle into anything in that first phase of life. So like trying different jobs, like just like not letting yourself settle into a house, maybe traveling around a lot and like just not super designed to settle into the one thing that will hap. That will be locked in for the rest of your life, which I can imagine for a manifesting generator is also like so fast paced and leapfroggy. Does that feel resonant for you particularly?
It does. That's so funny. Like, I remember being in my 20s and even into my late 20s and thinking I didn't really care if I was dating anyone or met the one or anything like that. I was really focused on my career. I was enjoying the moment and of course, you know, I met Justin in my later 20s and.
Yeah.
Which ended up bringing me. I think I got married and when I was 31.
Yeah.
Okay. Funny tidbit here. I also got married when I was 31 and just really resonate with what you're sharing on this relationship piece of things. And I think it could probably be, like, so refreshing for people as well, because there is such a huge societal story that's like, oh, if you're not married by the time you're 30, like, that's. That's the checkbox. That's the thing that should happen. And I feel like this is just a very cool pattern I'm seeing play.
Out here that is so fun. I've never heard about this pattern, especially when it comes to marriage, so I love it. I think you're onto something here.
Yeah. Yeah.
We don't know what we'll do with that, but hopefully it'll be refreshing for someone listening. So I think, you know, staying on connections, maybe not romantic connections, but we've talked a little bit about the mixer mind. I've touched on that. Something I joined this year, and it's an amazing project you brought to life before. We kind of really go into it and go there. Can you just speak about it and maybe tell us a little about your mission with it?
Yeah. So it all kind of started when I did my online summit called Quiz to Cash Bash, and that was in the spring of 2021. And during the summit, I was highlighting other entrepreneurs, and I kept thinking, these entrepreneurs need to meet each other. So I started to do virtual mixers. And I did the very first mixer for the women that was on my summit. And they had fun. And they had so much fun that they were like, could we do this again? And so I started to do more virtual mixtures in 2021, and they were completely free, but I would reach out and personally invite somebody that I would want and then funn enough. Some of these people I didn't have a relationship with, but I would ask my peer, like, hey, I know you're good friends with so. And so can you invite that person to the mixer? Or I would just invite people that I personally wanted to meet that either was a mentor or somebody I looked up to. And I was like, I'll just invite them. And people kept saying yes. And I was like, this is like, crazy, because I really. It was like something people wanted to do. So there was a lot of really good energy there. And so I continued to do that throughout 2021. And Zafira Rajan, she is also in the mixer mind. Love her. She told me, just planting the seed, but I think you need to monetize this. I think you need to come up with some type of offer because it's pure magic. And to me, I was thinking, how do I monetize this? Like, this is so fun. This is so easy for me. And really, I started to uncover a little bit more about human design and understanding why it was so fun is because my. I guess the reason or the reason my soul signed up for this life. In regards to gen keys, also numerology, I've heard several people when I do readings, they all tell me that, you know, it's intimacy. So I. My soul craves intimacy with people. Not just like, you know, you know, with your romantic relationships, but with people in general. And, you know, there's a lot of probably things that go into why this happened, but basically, Zafiro planted the seed. And then I thought, well, maybe I'll just. You know, In January of 2022, I started to reach out to people and said, hey, do you want to join this thing?
Yeah.
And I. I called it like a beta group. And so we ended up getting about 30 individuals that joined. And I'm not kidding, Megan. I would send the invitation, people would purchase. I'm like, this is the easiest launch ever. Like, I'm not even, you know, I'm not sharing it on social media. I'm not sharing it on Facebook. I'm not even emailing my email list. I'm just personally inviting people saying, hey, do you want to connect and collaborate with other entrepreneurs? And people would say, yes. And so after we gathered with the initial group last year, it was sort of my beta group in the summertime. I realized after I had. I got diagnosed with thyroid cancer in March, actually March 13th. It was a year ago today.
Wow.
Yeah, it was March 13th. A year ago today, I found out that I had thyroid cancer.
Wow.
And so that shifted things in my business significantly because I'd already had surgery to remove half my thyroid and a nodule. That's. And then it went to go through pathology, got tested, it was revealed I had cancer. So I had to go back for a second surgery on April 19 last year and have a second surgery to remove the rest of the thyroid because they'd only taken half out at the time. But during that second surgery, I actually suffered a hematoma, which was a blood clot, and it collapsed in my throat about a week later. Now, that's not something Good. I don't recommend it. But luckily I was in stable condition and I ended up being okay. But there was a lot that happened after that. And so getting into that just a bit, I was really forced to, like, cancel everything on my calendar. And so it was in that moment.
Yeah.
That the mixer mind members, who was all women at the time, I call them my mixer mind sisters, they opted offered to help me with zoom calls that were list, you know, that were ready to go, so they would fill in for me so I could rest. They also gathered money and they sent me money to help me with grocery orders to get delivered to my door. Because I couldn't carry groceries. I couldn't go grocery shopping after this surgeries. They also helped me pay for Dakota to get a dog walker for somebody to walk Dakota. For me, it was literally, they weren't sending flowers. They were doing the things to help me, what I needed it most. And that was when I realized again, the two most things that were important in my life was am I spending time with people that matter most in business and in my personal life, and am I seeing the things that I want to see most before it's done, officially done before this life is over? And so it really became clear to me that although I was known for creating quizzes in the industry, I was ready to sort of pivot and really focus on building a community in that moment. But then came time where things stood still. So my manifesting energy, all the craziness, the energy that goes along with that, I actually had to sit it out for a while. I had to cancel four weeks of things that was on my calendar so I could rest.
Yeah.
And I really had to take care of myself for a little bit. And there was a lot of clarity that came from that. I always say it's like the breakdown before the breakthrough kind of thing.
Yeah. Yeah.
Wow. First of all, I love that you're like 10 out of 10. Don't recommend having a hematoma. Like, don't. Don't add that to your. Your bucket list. Wow. What a powerful story. I don't know that I knew all about the mixer mine at SA and how everyone stepped up for you so much. It was giving me, like full body goosebumps. Just the magic of your gift leading the way and just like creating this incredible, incredible space. So were you.
Was your.
How did your energy feel during that time? Like you said, I had to slow down. I had to, like, take a pause. I had to take a break. Did that feel nice? Did you feel ansi, like, take us through that a little bit.
Well, I felt like if I didn't have my health, I would have business. So even though the prognosis was good on the thyroid cancer, the complication was not good. And, you know, if you Google hematoma, thyroid people die. Like, and I was actually worried when I got to the hospital. Like, is this it? But I didn't want to ask the doctor because I didn't want to just. I was like, I'm not going to go there.
Yeah.
But after about two or three weeks. Two or three weeks, after everything I did Google, like, do people die from this? And sure enough, they do. Right. So in the moments after the hematoma and the emergency surgery that I had to have on April 25th.
Yeah.
I lost my voice. I couldn't talk for a few days. I. And then, not only that, I couldn't even sing until months later. It wasn't until June that I was at a dueling piano show where I actually could sing, because before that, I couldn't even sing. And I was wondering, is this. Is my voice ever going to come back? Like, and because of this, what happened with my energy? First of all, I knew that if I didn't have my health, I didn't have my business. So I had to clear my calendar and just ask for other people to support me in those moments if there was something on the calendar. And my. It was amazing. Like, I had people hosting Zoom calls for me. I would have already shared all the amazing things that was happening from my community. But I really felt like I was a bird on a perch watching the world around me, because I could. For a few days, I couldn't even talk.
Yeah.
And so it was really hard for me to watch other people, especially if they. I'm very sensitive at. People are doing similar things as me. And so it was a little triggering to see other entrepreneurs doing similar things, like hosting networking events or. You know what I mean? I was like, oh, my gosh. Like, and I can't do this right now, but I'm really happy I went through that experience of just the quietness.
Yeah.
Because what I think it did is it made me realize how much I wanted it.
Yeah.
Like, it really ingrained. Like, oh, gosh, this isn't just something I'm having fun with. This is something I meant to do, and I'm going to go all in, 1000% on this. So that is sort of what happened. And then it really gave me a different perspective in life. And then, you know, that that's kind of how I reacted. But come November, when I launched, it was a very powerful launch because I think of what happened, you know, after the surgery and all the things that happened where I had to sit still and be really quiet.
Yeah.
Because there was a lot of downloads that was happening. I also did a survey for the current members, and I'm really good at responding. That's a manage anything, too, is sending out a survey, understanding what their needs are and responding to that. So a lot of that. The evolution of the new mixer mine came after what happened last year.
I love that. Yeah, I love that you touched on the response piece, because I feel like. I feel like almost this entire project came out from you responding to life. And so what the response to life is for the manifesting generator is it's their strategy, and so it's how their energy is designed to operate with the most amount of ease. And so it's wait to respond. So waiting for life to give you something to respond to. And manifesting generators are always responding to life. Like, whether it's like, oh, it's time to go on the walk with Dakota, or, like, oh, you know, I'm getting response that these mixers are working out really well. Okay, what do I want to do with that? And then tuning into that energy. So I feel like almost this entire project came alive from responses, and then you've been able to, like, take it to the next level by continuing to respond. And I feel like even that spaciousness that. That season of rest gave you the opportunity to, like, create a really nourishing response to life. Like, no wonder that mixer mind is such a wonderful place because you truly have listened to that response. I'm curious, because I know this can also be very hard for people, especially manifesting generators, or people that just want to, like, go. Just, like, move. Just, like, make the thing happen. Do you have any, like, tips for people that want to maybe listen to.
That response a little more?
I think the difference is you have to attach emotion to it instead of just do something and see if it sticks. Right.
Yeah.
I think what I realized was this was the first offer. Now, don't get me wrong. I love creating quizzes. They're fun.
Yeah.
But emotionally, it wasn't something that I, like, loved. Right. Like, loved. And so I think that's the differentiator with the mixer mind is I attached an emotion to this new offer. And when you can have an offer that has such strong emotions, it's. You're gonna have success with it.
I love That I also love that.
Your authority in human design is emotional.
Which is that the decision making element of human design and decisions really come alive when there's no charge. But I love that you're talking about the element of the charge because you're bringing that awareness into it. All of, like, this is igniting me. Okay, now is it time to bring it to life? Yes or no? Okay, let's make it happen. Or let's not make it happen.
Yeah. Well, I was gonna say, like, something else. I think I do. That's really related to Manny, Jennifer, Jen.
Yeah.
Is preparing everything ahead of time and working.
I love that.
So even though it wasn't ready to launch, I. I didn't launch it until November of last year officially. And because during the summer and during the fall, I was doing all the things to prep for that launch. So when I got into launch mode, I felt present. I was. And I was actually doing some really cool things that were very personalized ways to market it. And because I'd worked so hard and it was ready to go, I was able to be very present with the launch too.
Yeah, I love that.
I feel like you've had so many yeses in your life, Linda. Do you ever have no's?
Oh, my gosh. All the time. All the time. Oh, okay. So should we talk about that?
Let's talk about the nose.
So. Okay. So I think community is so important to me because there's been a lot of times where I didn't have that. Right. So when I first moved to Seattle, we had a lot of things going on. It was a very stressful time. New city. We bought a new house. We had just got married and we were pregnant to have it and having a baby.
Yeah.
So a lot of things going on. We didn't have family at the time. So after I had Liam.
Yeah.
I joined, like, a Pepsi group. It's this thing in Seattle that they partner you with, like, different parents that have had kids around the same time.
Yeah.
And there was a group of girls that I was trying to fit in with. And, you know, whatever reason I did, they didn't want me at their table. Right. And so they would do things to me. Like, they would tell me that they weren't part. Their kids weren't part of this thing that, like, I don't know, it was like we would sign up the kids to do. I don't even know what it was. It was like a sports thing. On a certain day. It was like a Thursday, we would go to this gym and the kids would get to play different sports. Now they were just little kids. There was like tricycles and different things in the area. And then after that, we would take the kids on nature walks. The other thing that I would do around that time was I ended up being a Tinker garden leader. So I would get Liam and I outside, Outside, rain or shine in Seattle, it's imperative to do this. And I would go to a local park and we would make mud pies for. Actually, St. Patrick's Day is on Sunday this week. And so we would build traps for leprechauns. It was super fun. And this certain group of moms, what they would do to me is they would lie to me and say, okay, we're not going to do the nature walk or we're not going to do this Thursday thing. And so one time I showed up to just do the nature walk, and sure enough, they were all coming out together with their kids and they had lied to me. Same thing happened when I was a Tinker garden leader. They joined somebody else's group and they wouldn't join mine. Like, it was just like these little things. And I was brand new to a city. And I realized at that time, you know, nobody was giving me meal train after I had Liam. Nobody came to the hospital after I had Liam. I had no family. I had no friends. But then, if you fast forward to the moment when I had surgery, so many people showed up with me in a different way. And I want to say partly because I don't know what it is, but I struggled to connect with, like, stay at home moms. The energy just wasn't there. Talking about laundry and whatever. But what would fire me up is talking to other moms who had a business.
Yeah.
And so I realized eventually that, like, I want to launch a business. I'm an entrepreneur. I need to get with the right people.
Yeah.
When I finally found the right people that connected with me, it's effortless. It's easy.
Yeah.
It's better. Right. And so there's many moments I can share where I didn't fit in or I didn't have a seat at the table kind of thing. Even my two sisters, there's three of us, and they're best friends. They've gone through life. They've had kids around the same time. They live in Ohio. I live in Seattle. I always said I was like the black sheep. So even with my sisters, I feel like, you know, I don't necessarily fit in with them either.
Yeah. Yeah.
Wow. It's like, a amazing reminder to listen one to our energy of, like, this is a yes for me. This is a no for me. But also, like, how important Right. Relationships are. Like, it's not just about, like, grasping on for, like, any connection, but finding the right connection, which Linda has such a unique gift in, by the way. I don't know if it was you, like, dialing into what right. Connection means based on kind of some of these experiences you had. But when. When we talk about super connector, like, Linda is the super connector, it's truly such a gift. So based on human design, she has the four in her profile.
So there's four.
Six. We were talking about the six line earlier, but the four is the networker. The four is the connector. She has the 659 channel, which is intimacy, which you touched on a little bit earlier, and then also the 1222 channel, which is all about group empowerment. And Linda can literally meet someone, meet another person, find the thread, and create best friends. I say this because you've done this for me.
Yeah. Well, I guess there was another girl who said, linda, you connect the dots. Yeah. And so, yeah, it's all about connection. Right. And so what happens even when I'm inside the mixer mind and we're on, like, a group call together, if someone's speaking, I really listen to them, and in my head, I'm connecting them with somebody else that's gonna either align with them, there's some synergy, something going on. But I connect people, and I think it's really important because I don't think there's a lot of people out there that are advocating to connect you with people in your network.
Yeah.
And I kind of stand against that, probably because of all the things that's happened to me in the past where people, like, told me, you don't deserve a seat at this table or that kind of feeling. And I don't believe that to be true. I think there's power in numbers. I think that everybody deserves a seat at the table. And I think that the rising tide lifts all boats. And so I love connection. And so, yeah, it's almost connecting the dots. And so if I feel it's I, it like intuitional hits sometimes where I just know these two people should meet and then I'll connect them together. And oftentimes people do become, like, business besties after I connect them, which is really cool to see.
It's such a gift, and it's such a cool expression of the four as well, because I think there's A common misconception with fours. Fours aren't actually designed for strangers. Fours are designed to be in their network. And so you're literally creating that web not just for yourself, but for other people.
Yeah, yeah. Well, and I think it's interesting too that, like, personal wise, like, I really, really light up when it comes to business or entrepreneurs, women that own their own business, like, that is where I feel like that's where my energy is now. I love people in my, like, my best friend that I've had since, you know, I was 14, my neighbor down the street. I absolutely love her. So there's a small circle that I have an intimate, close relationship to. But when it comes to like the business world, it just lights me up. Like, I love strategizing, I love thinking about launching and having conversations about moving the needle in your business. Like, I know it's kind of crazy and maybe that's why I feel like I was the black sheep of my family, because I was the one that left corporate and I launched my own. And people, they don't really understand what I do. They don't know how to articulate it and they sort of laugh at me, like, what do you do? Like, I don't know how to explain that. And it's like, because they don't know how to explain it or they haven't had the time to like, get interested in it, they just like joke around about it or laugh at me. You know what I mean? It is. Yeah, we get it. We get each other inside the business, entrepreneurial world. Right?
Yeah.
Yeah. I. Oh my gosh. I think so many, especially online entrepreneurs can relate to that. Because even though it seems like everyone is running an online business and it seems like, I mean, I constantly am having conversations where people are like, oh, this niche is too saturated. It seems like everyone around you is doing it, but it's actually still fairly new that people are running these online businesses. And so I feel like so many people listening are like, yes, shaking their head. Like, I've had those conversations. I've had people laugh at me because they don't see. Because they simply don't understand it. And so I think it's so powerful just what you've created and what you're doing. I think it's safe to say that you think community is one of the most important things you can do for your business. Is that a fair assumption?
Oh, yeah. I don't see how you can do business without having some type of community, especially if you're a mom or a business I mean, these are all, like, very hard things that women are doing.
Yeah.
And we're the ones holding the space at home. We're the ones that's taking on the mental load of everything. And unless you don't have somebody that gets you and can support you and even just see you for who you are, it's so important because in our personal lives, I don't think that's happening as much just because we're sort of different than other people, Right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I think you're so spot on. And As a fellow 4 6, I definitely agree that it's one of the most important things you can do for your business. Linda. This has been such a nourishing conversation in so many ways. Shapes, forms and directions and true manifesting generator energy and essence. If people are excited to learn about the Mixer mind, which I don't know how they couldn't be after hearing this conversation, do you have any final words to share about it? And then also just what's next for.
The mixer mind, I would love to turn that back to you and see if you want to share about your experience inside the mixer mind. Then, of course, we'll share the wait list if people are interested in hearing about when we open again, which will be in the fall of this year. So, yeah, I'll let you. I'll put it back in your hands and you can tell your audience your experience and what you. What you think of it.
I love that. So I feel like it was this year that I finally came to the true understanding about how important Community is. Actually, end of last year, it still feels like it's 2023 right now, end of last year, that I really, truly zoned in on how vital Community has been in my business. And I feel like I've been in business since 2017, and I've spent a lot of time looking for the quote, unquote, right spaces. But what I was really looking for, underneath that were the answers. And it's community, it's network that's always created so much value in my business and in my personal life, honestly. And so joining the mixermind, I primarily joined it for connections.
I was.
That was like my pure intention entering into it. I was so excited that there was something like this out there in the world, because I've never heard of anything like it before. And I have truly, when I say I've made best friends, like, I have people that I now chat with on Boxer weekly, if not daily, and we're connecting not just on the business elements but on the personal elements, because if you're running a business online and life is happening at the same time, it's just so important to have connections on all levels. And yeah, it's just the opportunities that have opened up, the connections that have been created, it's been truly, truly incredible. And we're only like just barely three months into it all, so, like it's just beginning.
Yeah. And I think the one thing I really wanted to cultivate, which you hit on a little bit, was deeper cultivating deeper relationships, not just a quick collaboration. That's going to be a short term calculated thing. Like, I'll share this if you share this. You know, it's not necessarily about that. It's like, who do you align with? Who can you connect with? You know, whether it's a client, a peer or a mentor. But these are all people you can have deep relationships with and this is going to serve your business for the long term.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's such a great point because yes, I've made really cool connections with like business wise of like some speaking opportunities and podcast opportunities and. And the depth is what has just lit up my entire world. It feels like it's like filled a missing puzzle piece that I've been looking for for a while.
Aw. I love it. I'm so glad you are part of the mixer mind.
Yeah.
We knew each other before you joined, so it's so fun to sort of meet back together with this community. So thank you for being a part of it.
Yeah.
