Foreign.
Welcome to the Clarity Corner, where you'll discover how to unlock and express the most authentic version of you and realize.
That this is exactly what you were looking for the entire time.
I'm your host and your coach, Megan Siemens. Now let's make some magic happen.
Welcome back, my friend. I'm so glad you're here. Cozy on up. We've got a good one today. They're all good. They really, really are. Today we're really exploring harmony. Harmony in life, harmony in business, harmony in work. And really, we don't land on this theme until about partway through, but when I really consider when this theme started, it was in the last session. And Jessica really takes us through how, tuning into her response as a generator pulled through so much action in ways that she totally didn't even expect. And I think that's such a great reminder for us all that sometimes we're like, what's the action step? What's the action step? What's the action step? Like, what's the next thing I can do to, you know, make more money or to create more time in my calendar or to to make more things happen in my life more and more, more, more, more. And instead it's like, what if we just came back to ourselves? What if we did less and that.
Actually created more result?
And I feel like we meet that beautiful harmony in the beginning of this session, then we move into actually creating some work life harmony between Jessica, navigating, being a mama, and also a business owner. I give you some practices along the way that can help you find your center point and your harmony, no matter what it is you're balancing in your life.
And then at the end of the.
Session, we really just tune into where to next. And that's the beautiful thing about coming.
Back to you and creating harmony in.
Your life is you create a clear pathway to see what's in front of you. I always say, I've probably said it before on the podcast, I will probably say it again, that clarity is not an empty mind. It is simply the space to see.
What'S in front of you.
And that is exactly what happens when you give yourself the space, you give yourself the support, and you allow yourself to come right back to you, to your energy, remembering that you have all of the answers within. All of the sudden, the action becomes easeful. So enjoy the episode and as always, I would love to hear from you after you listen. I have been loving hearing what perspectives you've taken out of these sessions and how it's landed in your own life. So please do share either on email or you can find me over on the Instagram and send me a message. Okay. Enjoy today's session.
Hello, my lovely. Welcome to our session. How are you today?
I was so excited. You just bring out the excitement in me. That's really what it is.
I accept that. I received that. I mean, there's a lot to be excited about. Like, I'm truly mind blown. The amount of work that you do in a week.
Thank you.
I received that. I wanted to say something about receiving and then you complimented me. So I'm going to.
I'm going to receive that and love that.
I mean, this past week of what you've gotten done though, it's been incredible. Like, there's actually been some really big forward motion. So is there anything you want to voice that's happened over the last week?
Oh my gosh.
So much so, like, I didn't. It's funny because our session was around human design and not like action steps. I mean, it was action steps, but it was like different types of action steps.
Not.
Action, action steps.
What an interesting exploration in itself. And I want to see where you're going with this, but like, just considering, like, what is the type of action I'm taking and then what is the result it's producing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, like, my homework was to pay attention to my receipt, my responding. And that was a fun challenge because it was more challenging than I expected it to be.
Yeah.
And it's something I want to continue doing because I didn't, like, I. I caught pieces of it.
Yeah.
And I. There's. There's more to be found.
Yeah.
In that if you could voice like.
One thing that you learned in the.
Exploration, like what comes up for you.
How not aware I am.
Which is like crazy to me because I feel that I'm a very aware person. Interesting. That was a fun challenge for myself.
Because I would describe myself as a very self aware person.
So to have.
An experience, I'm not aware. I'm like, oh.
I mean, there's always something. Like, there's always a layer deeper. We get to like expand and grow.
And be better of a human being.
Or my fit, like be closer to.
My favorite person that I could be.
So.
Yeah.
I'm curious if we can even reframe that though, because I don't know that it's you not being aware. I think you're just discovering your blind spots. Does that feel true?
So how is that different than awareness?
Well, tell me more.
Come on.
You knew that was going to come. When you say how not aware I am, like how are you defining that?
Like I just, I just, I guess intentional. Like I'm not intentionally responding to things and when I think of a blind spot, I think of driving and like in driver's ed we're told you look for your blind spots. So like we're, we're, we're showing our.
Blind spots in driving from day one. Not in life though.
Yeah. But even though you're shown blind spots and driving on day one, you still have to keep looking for them. It's like if you get a different car, if you get a rental car, the blind spots are like a little bit different. If I get in the car and Andrew's adjusted the mirrors then I'm like where am I? Like the blind spots are totally different. So yes. We learn our blind spots on day one and we have to continue actively looking for them.
Yes, correct.
And I feel like, I mean like you just said they're different in different things. So like this is a human design responding specifically human design. So blind spot.
Yeah.
I'm sure there's other blind spots I'll Yeah.
Learn.
Yeah.
As we go.
And I mean I think it's what it comes down to too. Is it, is you presenting that you're feeling a lack of awareness. Does that feel supportive for you?
No, I feel like there's. I mean yes and no. But it's more leaning towards the no because I feel like they're self beat.
Up on like yeah, yeah.
I'm not aware of this. Like I want to be.
Yeah.
So that's where I'll invite the reframe in of like you actually are incredibly aware and maybe it's not the blind spot that's like vibing with you for the reframe but you're actually an incredibly aware person. You're just discovering like where, where needs some attention. Like where does the focus go? Where does the energy go right now? And in turn what is going to support your ultimate vision right now?
I really liked. Speaking of. Right.
Our notes in last night's call.
Yeah.
For the, the back to you. You. For the zooming in. What stood out the most was what is most urgent right now in this moment.
Yeah.
Like that really helped me like come.
Back to the this present moment.
I really liked and I'm, I'm wondering how I can incorporate that with like the responding like maybe maybe just like random check ins on like how am.
I responding in this?
Because we're constantly responding. Like I'm all Day, every day, I'm responding just like I'm choosing.
Yep. Yeah.
Every action is a choice.
Yep. Yeah, that.
Maybe that's it. Maybe. Maybe it's that simple.
Which.
Duh. I mean, but like. But, like, maybe choice is response. Yeah, they equal the same thing. And I wasn't having them equal the same thing. But, like, I am very aware of my choices, but because I wasn't making those two words mean the same thing, I was like, okay, well, how am.
I responding to this choice?
Yeah, but maybe the choice is the response.
Totally 100. And that's kind of what we were talking about in the flow as well. From a human design lens or perspective, there's the response. You get to choose in that response choice.
Right.
And then if it's a big decision, you can bring in that authority and you can sleep on it a little bit more, but the response has already happened. And so now it seems like you're bringing that layer deeper of intention and awareness and shining the spotlight on. Okay, are the choices that I'm making actually ultimately supporting the vision that I'm walking towards? Which is why you started this conversation with. Well, my homework this week was just to, like, tune into my response. But then we saw, like, some of the most immense action happen in this past week towards your coping in color community being built and expanding.
Yeah, a lot of clarity happened this week.
So the practice that Jessica was talking about was in our back to you quarterly workshop that we did on moving from feeling scattered into focus. And something that I feel like can support you if you're feeling a little bit scattered and you want to bring yourself into focus. We talked about the zoom in meets the zoom out. And I talk about this concept in a lot of things that we do, but I particularly think it's one of the best ways to bring yourself from scattered or overwhelmed back into focused and clear. And what it is, is I had them think about it in the workshop. Like a camera lens, you can change the zoom. You can zoom in, you can zoom out to find the focal point that you want. And even if you're zooming in or zooming out, the thing that's in your camera lens viewfinder isn't necessarily changing. It's just changing the way you're seeing it. And so often we typically lean into one of these and not the other, but we actually need both. Both to live a clear and purposeful life. And so with Jessica, she was so zoomed out. The camera lens was, like, on max zoom, just, like, seeing the big picture, the big Vision that she was missing the response in her body, which happens in the present moment, therefore taking a bunch of scattered action to try and catch up to that end vision goal and missing the present response that was.
Right in front of her.
And so if that's you, if you're constantly in the big vision, you can zoom yourself in, find that present moment. If you're a generator, tune into that body gut feeling. If you're a projector, notice where your energy wants to flow. If you're a reflector, notice what mission or cause you're drawn towards, or if that doesn't resonate with you, notice just what you feel like you want to amplify. If you're a manifester, noticing if you're in your call for rest or your call for motion, and if you're a manifesting generator, also tuning into that gut feeling and noticing if anything in your life has expired. Now, if you're one of my friends that is constantly zoomed in and you're just here in the present and you're never giving yourself space to be in that big vision, so you're so zeroed in, you're like kind of maybe caught in the details a lot. If you're super zoomed in or you're just kind of like, I always just have to live in the present, but you're missing that big vision, zoom yourself out and spend time connecting with the big vision. I often find that my friends who maybe you're listening or just are in this space, in this community, I often find my friends who have navigated grief often get really stuck in the present because there's nothing more precious than the present. And there's also this feeling of if I'm. If I zoom out, I know that I actually don't ultimately have control over all of that. And so we don't even let ourselves go there. And I say we because I fell in this pattern really hard as well within my grief. And so I'm just giving you the invitation to zoom yourself out if you feel like you're constantly in the in and you can hear the wonderfully potent action that this gave Jessica permission to tune into by finding that counterbalance between the zoom in and the zoom out.
Yeah, like a lot. A lot.
Yeah.
Yeah.
A great week.
Yeah.
And so. So, yeah, go ahead.
Speaking on that, I was having a conversation yesterday about, like, work life balance and how there's like such a to it, because, like, when I think of work life balance, it's like 50 50, but like, realistically, life is a Lot more than just life. Like, it's, it's friends and family and self and all the different, like, so, like, life is, is more than just.
One thing versus work is just one.
One piece. So we were talking about, like, work.
Life, harmony, which feels really aligned.
And I really like that. And very, like, describes, like, one of the things I've talked about is, like, having the course where, like, I launch one big thing once a year, and then I have the other six months to just be whatever that looks like. And maybe that's one on one clients. Like, so maybe work, maybe I don't.
I don't know.
But that feels like very harmonized versus, like, not necessarily balanced because then I feel like I'm not working during that time. So I guess my question is, like, this week I felt, I felt so good and I felt like I took a lot of really great action and I don't feel I was, like, super harmonized on the sense of, like, when I was with Corbin, like, I just wanted to work and like, and I felt like, like I want to, I want to be like. So that's what I really loved about your question. Like, what is most urgent right now in this moment? Because, like, when Corbin's awake, the most urgent and important thing is Corbin, not me, thinking about writing an email. And that is most urgent in a.
Different time when he's napping.
So, like, how can I find that, that harmonized harmonization.
Is that a word?
It is now.
Yeah.
How can I find that harmonization when I'm, like, when I'm Especially as a generator? Because, like, I can work for 14 hours and not eat or get up to go to the bathroom. So I found a lot of, like, surrendering as a mom. So, like, when Corbin wakes up and you know, it's not 14 hour nap, it's only an hour or two hour nap.
I'm.
I'm 90% good at just, like, shifting and being like, back on mommy mode. Not so much this week. And I think it's because I'm so passionate and excited about everything we've been.
Talking about and creating, which is great.
Yeah.
And yeah, yeah, yeah.
I love this conversation. And that is so much of the generator energy. Like, the flow does not like to be interrupted once you're in it. Like, once you're really in it and you've found, like, the excitement, the passion, the spark, the satisfaction, like, you can feel the difference between, oh, I'm just doing something just to do it versus I'm in my flow. And so, yeah, having Something like a nine month old little in your life who doesn't go with the flow the same way you go with the flow. Absolutely. Can break that up a little bit. So I mean, I'm curious.
Have you.
Felt like you've navigated this in the past with him?
So I don't think so. Like, I feel pretty.
Confident in like I hear him crying outside.
Speaking of him.
I feel confident in being able to surrender and just, just be present with him in the past. So fun little story if we have space for that.
Of course.
When he was born, he came. So we travel full time by pet sitting. And when he, he came, we were renting a room. He came the day before we like left our pet sit, which was early, way earlier than like weeks before we expected him. So then while I was in labor, we got a text from the room that we were renting saying that they had Covid. So we had to, we got to stay and it was definitely a blessing. We got to stay in a hotel for a week. So within his first week of his life, he moved three times, which, you know, welcome to our lifestyle. And I learned surrender very hardcore because I gave birth at 3. We were home by 7pm Kelsey had to pack up the house till 2am and then we left at noon the next day. So like I, and I am the packer. So I had to surrender and just let things be and like be okay. That he packs a lemon with a sweatshirt and a fan. Like, just like the most, the craziest bags I've ever seen. And I, I joke with him all the time about it because that's how he packs and he's just like, well, it's a bag and this things needs to be packed. And to me like, everything has a home. So the point is like I, I learned surrender from literally day one. Like, like full on. Like, I think it was the most I've ever surrendered in my life. Was. We call it Labor Day. So I feel like I've been able to continuously step into that surrender state with him. And then this week challenged me.
Yeah, it sounds like it challenged you in a different way.
Yeah, it was, it was a good challenge for sure.
Yeah. Yeah.
Because before it was kind of like surrender. I kind of just have no choice and everything's a little chaotic right now. And now is like surrender and it feels like I might have to sacrifice something that's going really well.
Yeah.
So the cool thing about harmony is harmony to me is like a beautiful melody. So it's all of the pieces coming Together in a really lovely, nourishing way. And so I feel like the key piece here is just figuring out how you can settle your system as your flow is interrupted. So what is the piece you need to put in place when it's time to shift from work? I love doing to mom mode. That I also love doing.
I. I did some tapping, which helped, and lots of breathing, like, grounding myself.
And that helps.
But I. That wasn't, like, the answer.
What would the answer be? If you could tell me, like, here's the perfect answer. What would it be?
It would be to be grounded, like, fully grounded, so I could be present in the moment with Corbin.
Yeah.
So you want just, like, your brain to, like, erase, reset, and, like. All right, mom mode's on. We're just doing it.
Great.
Awesome. Unfortunately, not 100%. How our human brains work sucks.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think.
I think that's just, like, part of the reality right here. I don't think this means there's not going to be any harmony. It's just. Can we be willing to make harmony look a little different?
You gave me an idea when you said that, so maybe. So, like, I really don't like being, like, having screen time in front of him. Like, I don't want to be on my phone. I don't want to be on my computer. Of course I am human, and it happens occasionally, but, like, I go by the 8020 rule, so as long as 80% is not. So, like, I gave myself space when I felt called. And with that said, maybe I have, like, a notebook.
Yeah.
And a pen. So, like, if I have a thought, I can write it down.
Yeah.
And then come back to that.
When he's napping.
But at least I can, like, brain dump as.
Yeah.
Needed. I love that. And then to come back to him.
Yeah.
And it feels like it really honors, like, a value that you have here as well. Like, the less screen time, so it feels like it honors the value. Whereas before, it might be like, I need to write this down. Oh, do I get the notes app on my phone? Okay. Now I'm looking at the screen. Is that really worth it? And all of a sudden, there's, like, more scatteredness in the mix of it all.
Yeah.
I love that idea. I also just have to, like, say, I pulled out a brand new notebook for our session today. It feels connected. I don't know. Just felt like I had to voice it. So finding your notebook, that feels really grounded to create a little harmony. May I offer something to add on to that?
Even yes, please.
Cool. I wonder if you can. Maybe it's in the notebook or maybe it's something else, but I wonder if you can create some kind of, like, I'm gonna call it a completion practice, but it's really a reminder that, like, even though my flow is breaking right now, I get to come back to this. And so maybe in your notebook, you write, like, the last thing you were working on and what you're gonna pick up next. Or maybe it's just that mental note of, like, this is what I'm ending on and this is what I'm gonna come back to, but it's that reminder that, like, my flow is being interrupted, but it's being interrupted for something I love and, like, one of the most beautiful parts of your life, but it's that reminder to your internal system that, like, we're coming back. How does that feel?
Yeah, that feels really good. Definitely writing it down, though, versus mental.
Because there's a lot of mental things happening.
Yeah.
Another thing that I thought of that's very supportive where I'm kind of, like.
Killing two birds with one stone.
I really like that saying. Sorry, this is really random. I really like that saying, but I feel like it's kind of negative. So every time I say it, I'm like.
Feels good. And I like killing birds.
So. So we've talked about, like, part of what I'm creating. We don't know fully what it looks like, but, like, activities with children that are around self. Self discovery and coping skills and doing that. Like. Like, as I. As I create these activities, like, practicing these with Corbin, which is something I would do anyway, and it feels extra exciting that I'm. I'm able to be in flow for both. And we talked about this on a coaching session when. After I gave birth.
Or was it before?
I don't know, but we talked about, like, the roles.
Do you remember that?
Like, the mom role versus the.
Yeah, yeah.
Jessica. Like, who am I? Like, I was very.
I didn't want to lose myself.
So I think that's kind of what it reminds me of.
Like, we came to the conclusion of, like, what did we call it?
It was like, I don't know, but pretty much I could do multiple things at once. So like practicing a fun. Like the breathing exercises with Corbin, which I kind of do.
Yeah.
Maybe just, like, being more intentional with it or making. Not even being intentional because I am intentional. So I do give myself credit there being more.
Like, making it more of a priority.
Yeah.
Yeah. So, I mean, talk about harmony, like, you're blending what really lights you up and satisfies you and that you feel really excited about, and you're blending that with your love of spending active present time with Corbin.
And he's learning great tools.
Yeah.
To be his favorite self.
Yeah.
Yeah. Okay, so how does harmony feel now?
So good.
Oh, my gosh.
By saying, like, the last thing I said, like, to give him the tools to be his favorite self, like, everything inside of me was just, like, full of happiness. Like. Like, there's, like, happy tears there. Like, it's. That's, like, the best thing ever is to be able to give him that.
Yeah.
Even that feels like the root of the community you're building right now.
Yeah.
Like, every piece that's kind of come together over the last week of starting to play in the possibility of a course and playing with the possibility of all the other pieces that allow that course to be sustainable in the rest of the year and keeping the focus on the books, like, all of it feels like it comes back to giving people, children, families the tools to be their favorite self. Whether it's your self concepts or your coping skills, all of it comes back.
To that, which was that this week that.
I don't know, weeks anymore. But, like, we came up with that really fun.
Like, we call it a success formula.
Like, it was like, I'm trying to.
Scroll and find it, but pretty much.
It'S like, coping skills plus self concepts.
Or self discovery, however we're going to.
Word that equals favorite self. I think that's. That feels.
There it is.
Yeah.
Which.
That's funny. I didn't even write favorite self on there, but I like.
I like favorite self. That's super.
We can add it on there, right?
Yeah.
It feels like it's, like, igniting that spark.
Yeah.
Yeah. So good.
Okay. So when it comes to coping in color, community being built and expanding, what feels like the focus right now?
So we're starting with the coloring challenge.
Yep.
Which I'm very excited about.
And we. The coloring challenge all started with me talking to you and you saying, how.
Many books do you have?
And then I said, four, and you're.
Like, I didn't even realize that.
And it's because I quietly published the fourth one because I was two weeks postpartum.
So.
It'S empowerment poses in color.
So we're calling it the Epic Party.
And I'm super excited about this.
Yeah.
Like, very, very exciting. It's gonna be fun.
Do all of the pieces feel like they are together for it? As far as, like, the Actual, tangible, Like your landing page. Like the setup you need. Have you locked in the date for the epic party?
Yes and no.
Okay.
We did log in the dates, but I don't remember what that date is.
I know.
August.
Yeah, maybe.
Maybe one step is. I mean, we're. You're pretty organized in your doc, but maybe since that piece feels so, like, important and powerful, just getting that piece of the puzzle organized, just making sure you have all the pieces you need to get that launch so that you feel really grounded before you put it out there.
Yeah. Yeah.
The calendar feels good and, like, helpful, which is in the doc, and. But the only thing that's not in.
The doc in the calendar is, like, specific.
So it's like, this week and next week. And next week is the breakdown versus, like, August 1st.
The calling challenge starts.
August 14th is the deadline. And then what day is, like, the epic party workshop?
Whatever. We're calling it all the same thing.
That'S just, like, simple and fun, where.
We practice breathing and whatever.
Whatever.
The coping skills are probably a little bit from everything.
Yeah.
Why not?
Yeah.
I love it.
Yeah.
So organizing a bit more of a calendar for the actual challenge itself so that you feel really grounded in that because that excitement buzz is there. So, like, keeping the momentum.
It.
Momentum likes a foundation, sometimes structure to create the flow.
Yeah.
And I love being organized. Yes.
That Virgo energy coming through.
I know it's strong. And then the other thing is, like, we talked a lot about, like, reels.
And stuff, so I want to.
Well, like, my favorite thing that we talked about is, like, what is the one person who needs a book today need to hear?
This is one of my favorite questions to get you out of your head. If you. You're either new in your business or you're. But you've been around in your business for a while, but you feel like.
You'Re having a little bit of a block around showing up or what content.
To create, or even if you're not a business owner at all and you're going into an important meeting and you're feeling really stressed about it or something that is just going to. That has you in some kind of.
Block getting caught up in, like, all of the people that you have to serve. It's tuning yourself into. What does the one person that needs my message need to hear today? I find myself often coming back to this question if I'm feeling really blocked in my content. And so just use this question in a way that feels supportive for you, but it's one that can really get you out of your head and out.
Of any visibility blocks.
And I think that's another, like, check in for me every day. I don't know fully what that looks.
Like yet.
Or, like, how to remind myself of that.
That feels like such a statement that creates harmony. Like, just tying this back to the whole theme of today. Like, I wonder if even when you find your notebook, you're going to use, I wonder if you just take a few moments to write that question at the top of, I don't know, 10, 20, 30 pages, so that every time you open a new page, it comes back to that. And whether you start on a new page every day or it's just that anchoring reminder in there you mentioned earlier. Right now it feels better to not have everything living up here in your headspace. So, like, putting it on paper and actually seeing that physical reminder might be helpful.
Yeah, I like that.
Yeah.
Sounds like a lot of work to write it 30 times. But with that said, I could write on a post it note and then.
Move the post it note to each page. That's true.
So thank you for that idea.
Yeah.
Because when you said 2040, I was.
Like.
And I love that idea because I need that visual reminder.
Yeah.
And then with that said, I want to kind of like, pre create reels because we have a lot of really fun ideas.
Yep.
And I'm not a real.
Necessarily a real person.
I'm. I'm a real person.
I'm not.
I was gonna clarify the same thing. We're talking to Instagram reels here, people.
Not an Instagram R E E L person.
Yeah.
If that's how you spell it.
Totally.
So that's time consuming. So I think I want to play with that and see if it feels.
Aligned to make those reels.
Yeah.
Or not.
Yeah. Yeah.
I'm curious how you're feeling showing up in all this, because I think it was last week you were like, I'm feeling some feels about, like, putting myself out there. And I'm curious with now being super aligned with the vision, feeling really excited about the coloring challenge and the epic party and the things that are unfolding. I'm just taking, like, a temperature check on how it feels showing up now.
So a lot of things have happened.
This week as well around being seen.
That I've worked on, and that's helped. So, like, I feel very confident in.
The being seen piece, which is very.
Fun and being heard as well. So, like, a little example is I.
I talk quietly, I guess.
I don't think I do but my boyfriend says, I do. And he's constantly like, I want to hear you. You're like, you deserve to be heard. So as I'm, like, whispering to him, he's like, what? Can you repeat that you deserve to be heard? And, like, constantly reminds me.
So that helps me feel the need to.
And I think that's also a confident piece. Like, speaking. Mm.
Not necessarily louder maybe, but, like, I don't know.
Loud.
I don't.
I think of loud as, like, someone screaming obnoxiously.
Like, that's not necessarily me. But, yeah, being heard.
There is the.
Fear still with nobody doing it.
Or, like, one person. And then it's like, well, obviously, you.
Win.
Which is fine. And, you know, I don't know. That just doesn't feel like a party. It can be a party.
Yeah.
I. I love your positivity coming in here. You're like, I'll have a party with one person. Like, I will. And, like, we can let that support the fear of, like, we can have a party with one person. And I. And I'm gonna allow space for them to be heard and seen and party and all the things. And I totally hear you on this.
And it's.
I think I just want to say it's so normal when you're, like, getting ready to put something out there to be like, okay, what if no one joins? Like, that's just such a normal human thought. And I think sometimes we just need to remember that, because it can be so easy to get caught up in, like, all these people around me probably don't think this way. This is just a me thing. So just that reminder of, like, we're not alone in that thought. And my question to you is, what if 20 people show up.
All happy, cry. That's a lot.
Like, that'd be so cool. Yeah.
There's, like, also the piece of, like. Like, the normal piece of starting something, and you just, like, reach out to everyone, you know, like, hey, will you do this? But then it's like, I don't want people to, like, pity, like, be a part of it.
Does that have to be true?
I guess it depends who I ask.
Well, I think that's an important curiosity of just, like, how intentional am I being with the people I'm asking and. And feels like something that can keep you really grounded in the beginning stages of this. Like, can I know that I have people that love me and support me and will show up for things? And can that be some evidence that gets the ball rolling? So I get the ball rolling? Because I know there's some people here that love me and support me and will show up. And at the same time, can I be really intentional with who I am inviting from that space?
Yeah. Yeah.
I think that's the biggest piece is.
Just being intentional because, like, I can.
Invite my mom, but, like, she's not, and she's great and she'll. She'll participate, show up, and, you know, her daughter is already a part of it. So.
We love that. We love a supportive mom. I'm curious, does it feel aligned for you to invite her this time? Not to uninvite her or, like, be like, you're not allowed here, but does it feel like that's the of highest intention for what you're doing right now?
No, it doesn't.
But then, like, one of my really.
Good friends who has two children does.
Feel aligned and like, so, like, people are coming to mind as you're saying it, like, that I can totally invite.
Yeah.
That do feel aligned.
Yeah. So maybe you start there making that.
Really intentional list with the first invite.
So to support the evidence that people are joining, it's going to be a party of many. And then starting to use that question that feels like it creates a lot of harmony. What is the one person that needs one of my books today need to hear to start building the new people coming in?
Yeah.
How does that feel?
What if I don't know the answer to that question?
And let's cross that question when we get there.
Okay.
Let's just. Let's take a moment with the question right now, though. Let's see what comes up today.
Okay.
So just take a breath. Take a beat. If you want to close your eyes to tune in, you may. But if it feels better to leave your eyes open to stay connected, that works as well. What does the one person that needs one of my books today need to hear?
So the first thing that comes to mind is just take a breath, which is the breathing book.
Because that's what I need.
Yeah.
And. And maybe that is the answer.
Maybe the one person can be me.
That needs my book today so often.
Yeah.
I mean, that's why I do this. Just because I needed this.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I still do. Yeah.
I love that. And look how easy that was.
Yeah.
It was.
Releasing that expectation or like, I don't know if that's the right word, but like, I was releasing something.
It's coming back to you.
Yeah.
Brain's like, what if I don't. Brain's like, what if I don't have the answer? What if we don't know where to go? And it's like, well, we always know where to go. Just take a moment and I mean, let's bring reality in. There might be some days where you do that and you're like, ah, crap. I just don't know. And what if that was completely okay too? What if I don't know meant I'm gonna ask myself at another time or in a different way, maybe today, asking myself the question isn't working. So I'm gonna reach out to Megan and say, can you ask me our guiding question? Or I'm gonna ask Kelton to ask it to me. And so just honoring, like, if you don't know the answer, what if that doesn't mean anything? It just means you get to choose again. We come back to choice.
Yeah, there was a really cool moment this week too that you asked me.
A question and I responded, yeah.
And then you were like, you just respond. And I was like, oh, cool.
Yeah, yeah.
It can be so supportive for the generator to hear the question that they're trying to navigate so that you can.
Tap into the response. Whereas if you're asking yourself the question.
It can feel a little. You can feel. I'm going to use the word harder. I feel like there's probably a better word. But it can feel a little harder to like find the response because you're already in like mind. So you're like trying to ask the question and the mind's like, well, I can help answer the question. Whereas if it comes external, it's like you can feel that response.
So speaking on that something I'm working on is like self accountability and to. And I'm a big hand holder. So like, this is a big fun.
Thing for me to work on.
Would it be supportive if it was like if I recorded my voice like myself asking the question and. Or I had you or Kelton or someone record their voice and then I just played the recording to myself.
So I didn't actually need someone to show up in that moment.
I would say try it, see how it lands. Right. So sure, we can put that into place. You can have your post it note and then you can first try to like tune into the question yourself. And then maybe you have the recording and then maybe it feels true to connect with another person and maybe it feels true to like, just give it some space and ask yourself again. But I think the curiosity or the experiment here is what if I always knew the answer? It's just, it's not always going to come in the same way every time.
Yeah. Yeah, that feels good.
Good.
So much good stuff today as we're coming to a space of completion. Is there anything else you want to voice to feel like you really want to tune into this week or stay focused on?
I feel like we talked about a.
Lot of good stuff and I didn't.
Take much notes on homework. So my question for you is, what's my homework?
One of these calls, I'm going to be like, your homework is to have no homework, but we did have some homework today. The shock and awe. So one is to. To get your calendar a little more organized for the. For the coloring challenge and the epic part party.
Setting yourself up with that question that.
Feels like it creates some harmony. So what is the one person that needs one of my books today need to hear? So putting that on the post it note, maybe getting some of those recordings from people and just starting to really tune into that question.
And honoring the.
Answer that comes through. And you know, so I so often the answer to that question when we're in the service kind of industry or space is the thing that I need today. And so honoring when that comes up as well and then starting to make a really intentional list of who you might want to invite to start creating some. Some evidence on that coloring challenge and create cultivating a space that's going to feel really supportive for you and also the other people that will be joining. So just a few things. I'll put it all in the doc.
Okay, perfect. Thank you.
But does it feel good for your system to hear that there's some. Some action to be taken? Okay, good, good, good. Okay, my lovely, you're doing such good work. I know I celebrate you like every single day of the week, but it truly is incredible to see how all of this is unfolding and I'm so grateful for you continuing to show up in this.
Yeah. Thank you. Oh, can I add one more thing? I got a little distracted with the doc.
The challenge. I wanted to like, voice and announce.
The challenge for extra accountability.
Selling 22 books in 22 days. So that was like what started the.
Whole domino effect of the coloring challenge to the epic party.
So.
Yeah.
So starting August.
Nope.
July 29th. Monday, Monday. NBD.
Yeah.
Yep.
I love it. I love that you're voicing it out loud and you're claiming it. It's going to be so fun to watch it unfold, especially with all the excitement that's already happened. 22 books in 22 days.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm really excited.
Yay.
And nervous and all things.
We love the intersection of nervousness and excitement. I feel like we ended our last call on the intersection of nervousness and excitement too.
I think you're right.
But look what created in one week by ending that way. So, like, cool, I'm down. Let's end this way.
We're here for it. Okay, well, we'll see you next week for I'm sure, just like an abundance of magic.
