Let me just say, get ready to go deep today. Our guest is a master energy and embodiment coach, the creator of the Shakti Bomb method. She's also a trained actress and spokesmodel, which I just think is amazing. Truly a full embodiment of wild feminine energy. Currently just, like, dancing around in bubbles and beautiful, controlled chaos.
That could be right? I mean, you have just described my life, and what I've come to accept about myself is, like, this really is. This is it. This is me. Why? Why apologize now? Too late now. I'm 44. No going back. Can't go back in the womb.
I love this so much. And, like, see, we're already getting into all the good.
I know. I'm so naughty. I'm like, whatever, screw the intro. Let's just talk about funny stuff. Let's go.
It's kind of like part of.
They don't even know my name. Say my name yet. Did you?
Yeah, we'll do. Welcome to the Clarity corner, Katie Kozlowski.
Okay, now I feel. Okay, now I'm here. I've arrived.
Yeah. I mean, we enter into things out of order. I kind of feel like that is, like, what you help people with, too, like, breaking the rules, doing things your own way. And I'm just, like, so genuinely curious where this conversation is going to go today. I feel like it could go in so many directions, and I'm so excited for it.
Oh, yes. And. And. And, like, why not have fun with that? You know, it's like the fear of the unknown. Like, what. What. What if someone asks me a question I don't know the answer to? And I. I said to somebody the other day, because we did. We did an interview, and then we did an interview to talk about the interview. And that went on for an hour. And there were guests and people were talking, we were interacting, and all of a sudden, an hour had gone by, and I said, okay, okay, let's just, like, let's just be honest here. I'm really good at talking. I could talk forever. If I hosted a talkathon, I would definitely win. And I could talk for, like, you know, probably three days straight and never shut up and never run out of things to talk about and be like, oh, wait, but let me tell you this one. Wait, there's more. And it just go and go and go and go and go. So I just kind of had to laugh. I said, well, that's me. I. I just like to share. I talk a lot. I never run out of idea. I'll never run out of ideas and be like, but you know what if you don't have an answer to something like, what is that? What is that?
Yeah, I love that so much as also someone who is a talker and got in trouble for that a lot when I was little. It's so permission giving to hear, like, no, we can just, like, have a talkathon.
Oh, we can. We could have a talkathon, and it would be inspiring. It's interesting you're saying that. See, it's like I always have all these random experiences that fit into the conversations we're having, which is why I think it's super fun also. But I teach different types of transformational classes, workshops. Some of them are more movement based. Some of them are more, you know, energetic based. But I was teaching one last night, and I had a group of four people, and we were talking and I was telling them stories, and that was sort of how we started. And I started telling them about this hilarious thing that happened yesterday with my niece, because my niece loves. She loves, like, this one scary song about Halloween costumes. So, okay, Siri, play. Play the costume song. And then it turned into this, like, spooky song. And I wasn't really paying attention, but I, you know, I could hear, like, in the background, and then these words stood out at me. That was basically like, that's how you know you're dead. And I'm like, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Siri, stop, stop, stop. No, we can't. No, this is terrible. So I looked it up, and I was laughing because it's called the Hearse of Song, and apparently it's like a. Everyone knows it. It's from the stories you tell in the dark or whatever. Like, it's a legit thing. But I was laughing. And so I started class telling them that, and we were just all just, like, laughing our asses off because the lyrics are so funny that we were, like, having a great time. And I said, listen, I promise you, there's actually. There is a point to this. Like, we will find a way to tie this into this deep, transformational work we're doing tonight. And then it. It transitioned into something else. And then next thing I know, I'm telling them stories and we're talking about these different things. And then sure enough, after we all talked, the thing I said to them is, I Said, listen, this is called embody. We're here to embody, you know, use embodiment work to help us create transformation, release, relief, connection with ourselves. And I said, nobody ever said that talking isn't a part of transformation and healing. So if we're talking right now, that doesn't mean we're not doing what we came here to do. We're just expressing it verbally instead of mentally or silently. And sometimes that's the thing you need to do, because if you're not saying the thing you need to say and you're not expressing yourself openly, that could be part of what's got you stuck. So it was fascinating the way it all went down because everybody talked, everybody shared. And then I said, okay, now we know what everybody's dealing with. And now we take this conversation, and now I turn it into this super bomb ass, incredible embodied meditation practice, weaving in everybody's experiences and, like, dropping words and, you know, symbols into the practice. And at the end of it, I said to one of the people that were there, I said, isn't it amazing that we can have a verbal discussion and then use that information to create something? And she said, that is so amazing. Why doesn't anybody talk about this? And I said, because nobody really knows that it's available. No one understands.
Yeah.
Oh, my gosh, I love all of that so much. So many things to double tap on that. And I feel like one of the first times you and I connected on coming on the podcast, one of the things you. First of all, one of the things I love about you in general is how bold you are, just, like, claiming, like, this is what I'm here for, and like, this is what we're all here for in the present moment, even in that story, like, this is what we're here for today. We're verbally processing things. And one thing you said in one of our first conversations is, like, all of these embodiment practices, you bring in, all of the work that you do, all of your story that's led you up to where you are today is why you're so good at helping people process trauma. And it sounds like that's even what you were supporting people with in your embodiment workshop that you're doing. Tell us a little bit more about, like, how you help people process through the trauma.
Yeah, so again, it's, It's. There's all of these different tools. So the way I've designed the system so shot the Shaky bomb transformational system, the Shakti bomb method, I basically Built a system that facilitates the transformation in an embodied way. So we have different. Different tools, different practices. There's three sort of key elements to it. One of them is the mental. So there's your meditation, there's your processing. There's what you're thinking. That's your negative self talk. That's the neuroplasticity, like those stories in your head type stuff. That's one aspect of it. There's a movement aspect of it, which is more of the somatic aspect. So releasing cellular healing, you know, really working with the body. And then there's the. I call it the manifestation aspect, which is the spirit soul aspect, which is basically, what are you going to do with all these, like, with all this incredible energy that you have access to. So when you work in a way that actually allows you to use all of the parts of yourself, you're this, like, supersonic, absolute, turbocharged, powerhouse human. I do it naturally, but I taught people how to do it also. So it's like one of those things where at this point, I do. I built the system for that. That means that inside of it, those are the three core pillars. And there's sort of two vibes that we have. One of them I call compassionate integration. So there's your shadow work. There's the trauma healing. There's the, like, rippings in goddess speak. There's your, like, you know, like, chewing up stuff and spitting it out. There's your, like, Kali Ma destruction, like, really, really moving through intense stuff, integrating, using that power to transform. There's your compassionate integration. That's also your inner child work, your inner teenager, all of that. So creating wholeness. And then the other aspect is what I call the radical creation, which is the, like, wild, weird. And by weird, I just mean, like, unboxed. I call it like the Mad Witch, which is. To me, it's like my inner Cyndi Lauper, you know, like, that lady is bananas, everybody. She's bananas in the best way. Like, you know, her music, her style, her vibe, her joy. She is that embodiment of that. And so that. That radical creation, right? The ability to, like, wildly transform your life like wildflowers. That's the other aspect of it. And that's the. The other day I said it's like Jackson Pollock, like flicking painted and canvas being like, I don't know what it's going to look like, but I'm gonna have a really good time doing it. And that's the other piece of it. So I think that's why the system, the Method works as well as it does because in my experience, having worked with hundreds and hundreds of people now, one thing will always be true, and that is the subconscious is basically a six year old, which means you have to communicate with it like a child. How do you get a kid to do something? Well, you use, you know, creativity, wonder, magic, curiosity, you know, the invitation to have fun, all of that. So you've got this six year old also. When you communicate in a way that's encouraging and warm and inspiring, it's a really weird thing, but the subconscious just opens up on its own. Like, there's no need to, like, I need to go into my subconscious. Guess what, friends? Like, if you actually treat yourself like, like, like a, you know, a child, like that child, like, wonder. You ask yourself the right questions, you come at it from this angle, you. It's an amazing thing that happens. But. But the subconscious literally is like, well, what do you need to know? Right? Like, hey, friend, I'm not threatened by you. And so it eliminates the resistance, that eliminates the thread. It eliminates like, you know, all of that. So this system is really good for. That's why I'm so good at it. And I also think, well, naturally I'm playful and warm and bubbly and also compassionate. And I've been traumatized. So when I see somebody traumatized or dealing with trauma, I'm like, oh, hey, I totally get how this person feels. So I'm not like out there being like, let me diagnose this person. Like, do you have mother issues? I'm like, hey, guess what? Yeah, it. It super hurts when, you know, you feel like your mom doesn't love you. Right. Okay, so what do you want to do about it? You know, same type of process. So I think that it just basically allows me to get inside the same energy as people that I'm working with. So it's this really weird thing that happens. And by weird, I just mean it. What? It surprises me sometimes, but it's just that it's like this uninhibited capacity to work with emotion in an unadulterated way. Completely innocent. Like a child.
Yeah.
And I just so happen to, you know, have an acting degree, which is basically like, what. What did I do in college? Well, a lot of time I rolled around on the floor. I did a monologue as a squirrel. I turned a painting. This is weird. A painting of like a big chair and a little chair into like, you know, some dramatic scene. And I became like the big chair. And yeah, I did all this weird shit. So I just have learned that when you use your body and your senses, your emotions, you play, you have a good time. It just so happens that it facilitates incredible healing at lightning speed. Because it's a judgment free zone.
Oh, yes, yes and yes.
And I have to say I recently took a beginner's level acting class. And I think everyone should do that in life at least once. I feel like there's so many lessons in imagination and creativity and letting yourself play. And there's also this, like, beautiful way to express confidence. And it's not out of force. It's out of that place of play. It's out of that place of creativity. I feel like everyone needs to take an acting class at some point in their life for absolutely no reason at all.
Yeah, I mean, well, you could take an acting class, you could take an improv class. Or at this point, this is why I think this is like why I love this Shakti Bomb method so much. Because you could take an acting class, you could take an improv class, or you could take one of my classes, which is basically an acting class for regular, everyday people. So it's the same thing, it's the same experience when you're in acting school or when you're training to be an actor. It really is interesting because they are like, they're teaching you how to basically, like, be yourself and not be yourself. So you become very aware of who you are, like how you are. You become ultra, ultra present of your body. And in order to be a good actor, right, you have to also learn how to listen and respond. You have to be able to be in the moment. Like, being in the moment. It basically. That's like Eckhart Tolle, the Power of Now. Like, yeah, just. That's a. That's a lesson 101 in acting. Be present, okay? Be present because you have to act with the person there. You have to interact with the person. You can't make that shit up, right? Like, you can't fake it. So it's the same thing with being a human. And I've just come to realize, and this has happened in the last few weeks and actually I had a realization this morning because I get a lot of people now especially who are like, I'm in chronic fight flight. Freeze my. You know, my nervous system is frozen. And it's all this jargon that people are starting to really, like, use these languages, which it's been around forever. We know we have a vagus nerve. We know that we're, you know, Basically designed to be relaxed and present and open. But stress causes us to, you know, freeze. And we have these trauma responses, and that's part of being human. Because again, like, we were animals in the woods and like, someone was coming with a gun, we would probably want to run away, you know, like, or we would want to, like, act dead already. Like it's a normal thing. But I'm saying this because, like, I personally have come to recognize that I think I've finally, my, my blood, my, my own mind has been, like, blown open because all of a sudden I understand where all my trauma has come from. All of it.
Yeah.
And why I've been so traumatized and where it's been living in my body and how to break free. And it's the strangest thing, but in the last week, I've had a lot of conflicts. Things that would normally trigger me. I don't even like the word trigger, but, like, you know, to me, trigger is like, hi, I'm a dog, have an electric fence collar, because I'm trying to keep myself safe, and if I get too close to the fence, the zapper goes off. Right. Like that to me is a trigger. It's just my nervous system being like, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Something's not right here. Slow down, pay attention. Because you might be putting yourself in danger, friend. Okay. You know, someone might be crossing a boundary. Just listen, right? Just, just pay attention. So now that I understand that, I'm starting to see all of the ways that my conditioning and also my inability to understand myself and what's happening in my body has caused me to panic because I feel everything. Like I'm super duper empathic. I, I, when you look at my chart, you know, you see I'm, I'm very defined, but I'm still very connected. And so I feel, I know I'm very tapped in. Like, I'm very aware of what's going on. But in the past, I would do stuff like, I wouldn't speak, I would, I wouldn't leave, I wouldn't run. Like, you know, all my sexual assaults. And I say assaults because I, lucky me, I had a, had a, I had a nice, like a series of three, and they were all very similar, but it was like that thing, right? Like, oh, something's not right here. I could have spoken up and I could have gotten out of there, but I didn't.
Yeah.
Because I was like, I can't say anything because, like, X, Y and Z might happen.
Yeah.
So all of a Sudden I've gone, okay, like, eureka. I get it. I wouldn't be such a highly traumatized, stressed out person. Like, I wouldn't need to spend so much time releasing the stress in my body if I really understood what I need to be afraid of. And most of the shit that I'm afraid of, like rejection, people not liking me, people judging me, people yelling at me, like, none of that matters. So if I just stop sort of letting all that have power over me, my body is always relaxed and I know what to do. Like, if I have a conflict. I've been doing this thing I said, somebody yesterday said, it's so funny. But, like, something weird happens. You, like, get like a text message and it's like, well, I don't know, are they mad? Are they this or they that? Like, I just pick up the phone and I'm like, hey, I'm sending a voice note because I just want you to hear my voice and I want you to know what my intention was. But be sure everything's cool. And they're like, you know, you didn't have to do that. I go, yeah, but I kind of did have to do that because I'd much rather say it and be sure that you understand. So we're good. So we really are good.
Yeah.
Instead of live in fear of what you might think of me, can we just talk about it? Right? Like, done, free. Voila. Over. Game over.
Yeah. Yeah.
That's such a beautiful expression of. And you mentioned your chart, like, it's such a beautiful expression of the open throat center. Whereas when you are living in the shadow of the open throat center, there can be that fear of rejection. And now coming to the space of I'm gonna voice note the thing, so I don't even have to live in that fear. Like, I just live in that space of alignment. And that just feels really good. And yes, they're telling me, like, they might not need that, but that's actually just what feels really good for me right now in the moment.
Yeah, well, and also I think that they don't think they need it, but they actually also kind of need it too, because it's clarity, right? It's like.
Yeah.
It doesn't leave this, like, foggy ambiguity. I also had a light bulb moment the other day, which I think is fascinating. I was doing. I was reading about rejection because I realized, like, okay, so obviously the root of all my fear and insecurity is rejection, because I don't like it. Okay? Like, I don't like us being actress I was rejected all the time. People rejected me all the time. A lot of times for, like, no reason at all. I never knew why they rejected me. They loved me. This is my love life, by the way. Like, oh, you're the best. Like, I love you so much. And then, poof. One day, gone. Vanish. Like, ghost. The most magnificent ghost ever. And I'm like, wait a minute. Like, yesterday, we were doing X, Y and Z. Now you're gone. Like, why? Why did you just disappear on me? Why did you just leave? Like, you're not telling me the answer. So I feel rejected. The brain. This is, like, to me, like, whoa stuff. The brain processes rejection the same way it processes physical pain.
Yeah.
So inside the brain, the same aspects of the brain light up, which means your brain is like, okay, ouch. Yeah, you do feel an ouch. Like, you. Your brain feels ouch, thinks ouch. So all these people who are like, oh. It's like, just all in your head. And I'm like, yeah, exactly. My brain doesn't know the difference. So I have to help my body understand. Listen, nobody physically hurt you. Nobody hit you, right? You are okay. You're here in your body. You're safe. You can process this and move on. Otherwise, what happens is. It's so easy to understand. It's like when you let emotional pain hurt you, it's worse because you're basically waiting. Like, you're just, like, waiting for the fist to hit your face.
Yeah.
You know, but the fist never actually does hit your face, which means you're, like, waiting for your whole life for that bang to happen. Now, I got hit by a car.
Yeah.
That was a cosmic bang, right? That was a big bang. The big bang. That was my big bang. Big Bang theory. Katie K. Here she goes. But it was that, like. Like, I had physical pain. And this is sad stuff, but when I was a little girl, I used to actually punch myself. Right? I used to hit myself. And I'm not the only person who does this, who or who did this. People cut themselves, all this stuff. And now I understand why. Because you can't. You don't understand why you think you're in pain, but you're not. So you actually physically hurt yourself. So you feel it. So your body can process it and move on. Otherwise, you live in purgatory your whole life. You're waiting to be rejected. Which is why, up until now, I haven't been able to move forward in my life, because I've been hurt a lot. I've been rejected a lot. I'VE been bullied, humiliated, laughed at, whatever, abandoned by people I thought loved me, like, over and over and over again. So I'm like, okay, I clearly can't do anything ever again. Like, I can't breathe. If I exist on this planet, like, something's gonna hurt me. So I think I'll just, like, hang out here in. In. In breeze land.
Yeah.
Do you know what I mean? And now all of a sudden, I'm like, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Like, if I actually process what happened and understand that this is why I always felt the way I felt about myself and why I was so scared of people hurting me, I don't actually have to be scared anymore. And I can, like, come out of my little. My little, like, cage cave shell place that I've been hiding in and go live my life and be free. Which is why I'm like, now, like, oh, because now I understand.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know it. I always thought about the phrase that I was told constantly when I was younger, which is like, the sticks and stones break your bones, but words will never hurt you. Constantly teaching.
Yeah.
Eye roll. Constantly teaching my subconscious, like, well, you're not getting hit. You're not. There's no physical pain. Like, it's fine. Just let it roll.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which is basically like, if someone's like, emotionally abusing you, it's okay. Yeah. Not really pain. What the bleep and bleepity bleep is that? That's bananas bullshit and bad stuff that needs to be changed. Like now, now.
Yes, it so is. And I feel like you're really one interesting thing. I feel like, you know, connecting to your human design a bit. And I think we're going to talk about some more advanced human design concepts in this. So if you're like, what are we talking about? It's all energy. That's it. It's all it is.
Like my fork and my knife. I'm like, yes.
Like, tell me the things you don't. You actually don't need to know, like, what your human design chart is because you know it, like, in your. Your being. You know it in your body. But what I feel like is so fascinating. And what you're talking about and what you're all about and what you kind of touched on a moment ago is that you're very defined in your chart from, like, neck to down. So like, your only undefined centers are throat, mind, head, neck, down. Very defined, very. In your body. And so I'm curious what that almost like, maybe you can describe it better than me, but I feel like there was almost like a blockage in the drain that was moving, like head, third eye, throat, down into rest of body. Does that resonate with you at all? Or like, what was that unlocking that allowed you to really connect subconscious mind stories, words with the body elements that you're obviously very in tune with.
Right. Well, you know what, so here's the interesting thing. I. I've always felt very separate. Like, I've always felt like there were two versions of me. So there was the inner me and the outer me, right?
Yeah.
And I. And. And there was the person that everybody saw in the world, right. So there was like the external body, Katie K. Like the pretty bubbly girl from Connecticut that everyone. Blah, blah, blah, Right. And then there was this like inner tortured, like really, really traumatized person. Seriously, like badly. And I've written about this over and over again. I called it the princess and the prisoner type thing. Like I was the princess who was imprisoned in my own body. So it was like this weird thing where I kept. It almost felt like wild horses pulling me in two directions. Right. So this part, the heart to the head, was like, no, no, no. Like, I know how to get out of here. Like, I know the way to the higher realms. Like, I'm getting the frig out of here. So like this half of me was like, no, no, no, we go this way, right? Up and out, right? Raise your vibration. The other part of me was like, no, no, no, we go down, right? We go deeper. You need to go deeper, Deeper, deeper. And it was like literally like. It just felt like I was like being stretched, pulled apart by wild horses, being dismembered, literally. Which is a weird thing because dismemberment is actually not bad. You just have to put yourself back together. Yeah. So what I was basically doing was ripping myself apart consistently because I am who I am. And I was like, you know, and my. My self talk was bad. It was like, you're so stupid. Like you're the dumbest person. Like, I can't believe that you did. Like, it was really, really, really, really, really vicious and gnarly. It was not nice.
Yeah.
And I was really hard on myself and I like basically hated myself. It was terrible. But I also really loved myself. And so it was just this like battle, this. Like, I don't get it. Because how can these two pieces be so separate, right? Because this is all it was. It's not mixed for me. It's very clear cut. Like either I'm one cohesive unit. I'm like, I'm like a set of, like, Legos or something. Right. Like, either you take me apart or you put me back together. And so that was how it felt. And then I started to realize when I started doing this work more. Oh, okay. So this is why I feel so pulled apart like that.
Yeah.
Because there's this half that is going this way, this half's going this way. So what's the solution to that? I need to put myself back together. So it's a wholeness, it's a completion, and all it really was. I often talk to people about this because there are a lot of people in this world that feel like they don't fit. Doesn't make sense. Stems.
Yeah.
And part of this interesting thing that happens, like, with Shakti Bomb, is that, you know, it's like you just end up, like, turning the piece around and it fits, you know, it's like, no, no, no. Like, you just got the, the, like the way you're, the place, the direction you're looking is wrong.
Yeah.
So, you know, shift your perspective. So I had to kind of change the perspective. And when I did that, it, it, it allowed me to come back into myself. So basically I had to reconnect my two pieces. And when I did that, I also came to understand that there are goddesses out there. They're called Dakini. They're really cool. They're Tibetan goddesses, and they are goddesses of duality, and they are sky dancers, and they are basically death dwellers. So there's two things they do really well. Passionate integration and radical creation. So they know how to take, they know how to play in the heavens. They also know how to get down and dirty with the darkness. And that was my, my realization for me was like, oh, wow, that is me. That's what I am. I really am that person who's like, one foot on earth and one foot in heaven. Like, I, I, I'm designed to do that. I'm designed to have just as an actress. When I was a singer, they'd be like, are you a soprano or an alto? And I was like, I don't know. I have like a five octave range. Like, what do you need? What do you want? No, no, no. You can't be all those things. You have to pick. You know, we can't market you this way. And so I just think it was until I understood the value of having that much range and width and depth. And depth. Really, more than anything, it's the Depth because that's what allows me to go so deep, you know? And it's like I also so funny. But I watched like I had a lot of different experiences that have changed my life and one of them is I watched my octopus teacher.
I've heard amazing, oh my God about this.
I loved it so much. But watching her, watching this octopus, I was like, that is my spirit animal. Like that's what I am. I'm an octopus. Because she, like, she's so smart. This, this octopus is so smart and she can like change herself into whatever she needs to be to like blend in. And like, she can like outsmart a shark by like turning herself into a rock. Then she can like ride on his back like, like, you know, like, like Valkor in the Never Ending Story and be like, hahaha, like you thought you were gonna get me and now I'm riding you. Like it just, it really allowed me to see myself in other ways and fall in love with the fact that I am unboxable. I am, I am that like magic that you can't catch, you can't understand. You're not supposed to. That's the point. So then my body was like, oh wow, look at that. And then the energy was able to flow because I wasn't like this piece and this piece I just plugged in. But the pipe got put back in. You know, it just was disconnected. So you plug the pipe back in, that energy, which is also known as Kundalini, flows. Right?
Yeah.
So okay, besides everyone's homework now being to watch my, My octopus teacher.
My octopus teacher. Oh my gosh.
Right, yeah.
Watch it and then report back to me, everybody, and tell me if you cried like I did. Huh?
I'm gonna. I. It's been on my list for a while and so I'm gonna, I'm gonna up up it on the list because this is like the second time I've heard it in a few days. So everyone's homework is to watch that and to, to message Katie and, and let's let her know how it was for you outside of that, because that's going to be some homework. What is like one thing you feel like someone could do or be if they are feeling that disconnect, if they are, because I know a lot of people in this space do feel like, I always say they've dropped some pieces of themselves.
That's a great question. So if you're feeling disconnected, the first thing you want to do is become aware of it. Right? So you, you like I didn't the way I learned this for myself was. And this is one of my. One of my stories is, you know, I was living in New York City. I left New York City. I was like, really? Really? I. First of all, I was in an incredible amount of debt. It was like $85,000 in debt. I was really struggling in a lot of different ways. And so when I moved home, I was. I was just feeling emotionally down. Just lots of different things weren't quite working for me. And I had a conversation with somebody who was my mentor, and she was like, listen, you spent so much time outside of yourself because of the amount of trauma that you've been through that you're not in your body. Okay. You're not really present in your body. And surprise, surprise. That's why you're so good at manifesting spiritual lessons, like healing, all this stuff. But unless you actually get in your body, you can't manifest anything in the physical, which means you will not be able to actually, like, you know, make that money or manifest or whatever, the things that you want. So we need to get you in your body.
Yeah.
Right. So if you're noticing stuff, like, you know, disassociation is kind of like when you start to pay attention. Like, if you're going through life, like, one time in acting class, I remember my teacher basically being, like, literally coming up to me being like, hello. Like. Like a hand in front of my face. And I was like, hi. Like, I was Barbie. And I was very, like, present but not present. You know, like, there was no one in there. And it's easy to start to notice that for yourself, because if you have a hard time being present, like, if you have a hard time being vulnerable, if you have a hard time being relaxed in your body, if you have a hard time honestly expressing yourself, if you have a hard time manifesting, if you have a hard time trusting, you know, all these things we struggle with, I would say 99.9% of them is because of a trauma that's caused you to disassociate.
Yeah.
And disassociation side twist. A lot of people think disassociation means you pop out of your body. Not necessarily so. So you might leave your body, but there are other ways to do it. I call it the popple effect. So, like, I was a popple, and if you remember popples. But popples were these like. Like stuffed animals that you could fold in on themselves.
Yeah.
You could be like, I'm in the world. I'm not in the world. I'm in the world. I'm not in the world. And so I would be able, like, duck and cover type thing, which also. Octopods, octopi, octopus friends. I'm good at that, right? This is what I need. And I was like, oh, my God, I'm an octopus. I need to become a rock. Acting as well. Right? You know, protect yourself. You are now a turtle.
Yeah, yeah.
Now you're swan, you know, but it was very. It's very disjointed. So if you start to feel kind of like clunky or. Or uncomfortable in your body like that, that's how you know. Okay. So understanding that you're disassociated from yourself in some way, shape or form is the first step. Then what you do is you begin to reconnect with yourself. And I teach that in a lot of. I have that. My free gift. Move, groove and meditate. That's like the first thing that I teach people is how to reconnect with themselves in their body. Five minutes a day, you call your soul back in. Because you're absolutely right. What happens is during trauma, any sort of traumatic experience, like, a little piece of you will chip off. So you'll lose little fragments. It's like just little bits of yourself. Go here, go there, and then you have to gather them all back. So this idea of calling all your pieces back, calling your soul back, being present in your body is like, where it's at. Like, that's what we need. Once you have that, then you're present, you're reconnected, you're in your body. Then you start feeling your feelings. Then you know what needs to happen. Like, a lot of people just, they. They want to go from 0 to 100. So, yeah, jump the hurdle and they start doing therapy and they start doing this and they start doing that, and it's like, hey, guess what? If you're not present in your body, you can talk all you want. It's not actually going to manifest in. In the form that you need to allow you to take action or believe in yourself or open up. Like, I have a lot of people say, I get it here, right? I've done, like, I get it here, but I don't get it here. It's like, oh, well, that's because we have to. We. We have to kind of one, help you get back in your body. And two, take those ideas that you. We have to take those beliefs that you now have because you do understand it. And we have to, like, it's like if you've ever injected a watermelon with, you know, vodka. How dare I say that? Or something like that. If you've, like, you know, used a plunger to, like, push something, something, anything. Yeah, you have to push it down. Like, you have to actually push it through your system.
Yeah, yeah.
Drop it down and all the way in.
Yeah.
I love that. I, I. There is so much importance with connecting to your body. Like, we have little brains all over our body, and so I love that tip of just, like, getting back into your body. Definitely linking up your beautiful meditation gift for everyone to check out as well. And I feel like there is so much magic in, like, watching things. Like, my octopus teacher, for me, I don't know if you've seen fantastic fungi.
No, I haven't seen that one yet. Now I have homework.
Yep, now you have homework. But watching these, like, it's things that you're like, that's not. That's not self help. That's not spiritual work. But, like, it's similar to, like, I recently got back into reading fiction and, like, reactivating your imagination. Kind of like you were talking about at the beginning and how.
Right.
Powerful those exercises can be. I love this conversation.
Yeah. You know, I, I watched the Bear recently. Like, if you're talking just, like, watching things, like, I watched all seasons of the Bear.
Yeah.
And my mind, I mean, it, like, my mind exploded because I was like, oh, my. Yeah, I grew up around that. I grew up around a lot of alcoholics and just, like, chaos and anger and, like, you know, fighting. And, you know, I saw it on tv.
I go, oh, my gosh.
I am more. I. I resonated with the main. With the main guy, Carmi, in so many ways. And also, he's a chef, and he, like, cooks, and he's super creative and, like, passionate. And basically the way I do things is very like, you know, like, I. It. What My energy is like, chef energy. Like, wild chef in the kitchen with knives being like, we chop up the. Chop up the onions at the broccoli, and we throw it in the thing and we mix it up and, like, you know, like a dollop of micro greens at the top. A lot of times when I talk to people now about the. The practices, I go, they're like, you know, blah, blah, blah. And I go, oh. When the chef's kisses, like, the piece. The resistance is the, you know, this aspect or whatever. And I talk like a chef. I'm not a chef, but I'm. I am. I'm a. I'm a. I'm a. I'm a home chef. I'm not a professional chef, but I know how to cook and I can like, cook out recipes and all this stuff. But it's so interesting because I got massive, massive healing from watching my octopus teacher, from watching poor things. That movie to me was like a master class in like, you know, mind control and liberation and all this stuff. And yeah, I mean, it's amazing, but it's like if you. When I was a little girl, I loved watching very intense dramas on tv. Like, I was weird. I loved. It all makes sense now. Like, I loved like the miniseries north and South. My mom used to watch all this stuff. And so I was very like, yes, look at, like humanity. Look at all this. And. And when I was in fifth grade, my, my friend's mother took us to the bookstore and she was like, everybody, you know, well, you can buy a book. I'll buy you a book. And I, for some reason, I had just seen Schindler's List. I don't know why I was watching that at in fifth grade, but I watched it. And so I went to the shelf and I picked up night like the book about the Holocaust and being in a concentration camp. And I was like, this is the book I need. They're like, why would you. You're in fifth grade. Like, why do you want to read this? I was like, I have to read. I read it in fifth grade. I was into. Did something for me. So reading, watching tv, living life, exercising. Like, I'm a big fan of fitness. Yeah, I'm a fan of moving your body, using your body energy, what you eat. Do you know what I mean? Like, anything can be a spiritual experience. Meditating is just one way to do it. But anything could be a meditation.
Yeah.
Yeah, I love that so much. And I couldn't agree more. I feel like, you know, humans sometimes like to box things and put labels on things, but there's actually so much more when we expand it and open up to what our imagination is craving and what our body is craving. And that's where I feel like the real dynamic shifts can come in. I want to talk about at least one of your channels, maybe two. Because I feel like a lot of times when I explore channels with people, our channels are just our innate strengths. They're just like what very naturally comes easy for us. And a lot of times when I talk about chant their people's channels with them, they're kind of like, yep, that's me. But you give voice to some of your innate strengths. In your human design charts. So. So just, like, deliciously, I feel like that's the word that comes up. And also it makes all of this. Oh, yes, chef's kiss.
Right. That's why I do it. That's why. See, because everything is, like. Because it's sensual, right? It's like.
Yeah, yeah. And your strength and your. They do get to be, like. That's a way that we often think about, like, our strengths and our innate gifts. Like, they're so essential. They're beautiful. They're delicious. And the more we, like, lean into them and amplify them, it's just, like, such a gift to the world. So I know one channel that you have that you have some really unique viewpoints on that I'm excited to share is the 659, which is the channel of mating. This is very much a gift in, like, cultivating intimacy with others people just feeling, like, immediately cozy in your presence. And I love how you talk about sensuality being an intellectual gift. I also love that we went into talking about channels with a lens of sensuality. It's just. It's all in flow.
Yeah.
Tell me the things. Tell me about.
Yeah.
Sensuality and being an intellectual.
Well, yeah. So, I mean, it's. Again, it's like, a very interesting thing because obviously, I happen to have a very, like, sensual way about me.
Yeah.
Not on purpose. Yeah. And I. That's why it's really interesting, because I have never tried to be overtly sexual. Right. Like, I was never, like, I'm going to be sexy. Look at me. It's just like. It just. It comes out like it's just a part of me. And it's not just my body. I happen to be curvy. Right. Like, I happen to have the kind of body that's like, ooh, look at that. Like, your typical goddess. Like, ooh, hourglass. Yum. Voluptuousness, like, scrumptious body, which I hated, by the way. I was like, no, let me be a. Let me be built like a boy. Thank you. But that didn't happen. Even when I tried to starve myself, I was like, God damn it. I'm still, like, curvy and sensual. Like, it's nothing you can do about that. So that was a. That was sort of like a painful thing in some ways, and I really didn't like it. But it's not just that, because it's the. It's my personality. It's my. My, like, warm nature. It's like my bubbly playfulness. It's who I am. And I. I think it's kind of funny because it's always been very, very hard for people to wrap their minds around because they're like, I don't really get you because you're like. Like from the outside. Like, I look at you and you look like. You know, like, you look like this set, like, sensual, like, sexy playboy bunny. Like, when I was younger, people be like, you should do Playboy or Playmate. Like, you'd be a really good playmate. I was like, how dare you? But also, I probably could and I didn't. But, you know, so there was that aspect of it. And then at the same time, this, like, innocence, this childlike ability to play. And that's sensual in a different way. Like little kids, like my niece, right? You taste food and she's like, this is good. You know, she's like, playing and expressing herself and her body and dancing in, like, strange ways. Just feel in herself, right? She's learned. That's what kids do. So I think that it's an interesting thing because in one way, I am the, like, sensual. Like, people think sensual means sexual. It doesn't. Sensual means using all your senses. And that's actually that in manifestation terms.
Yeah.
That's actually how you. It's. It's weird. But you use your senses to activate a part of your brain that allows you to magnetize what you want from the center of your brain, like inside the center. The Egyptians knew this. That is how you do it. And you do it by using all your senses, like the reticular activating system. All this stuff going on. So I think it's just a matter of me understanding now that sensual and sort of expressive you. That. That has to do with, like, how you feel when you smell roses. You know what I mean? It doesn't mean you like to. Yeah, you might, like, have sex. But, you know, I think it just. It was a. It was again. I fought for a really long time because everybody was like, no one will take you seriously. And. No one. And even if you do, you're like the sex goddess or whatever. And I'm like, no, no, no, not at all. I'm the goddess of ingenuity. Like, I'm the one who tricked you into thinking that's what I was so that you would listen to me. Then you get to know me. You're like, oh, snap. Yeah, that girl knows what she's talking about. Yeah, right? Like, yeah. Do you know what I mean? So it's this, like. It's a weird trickster y thing. It's. It's just part of. And I have trickster. I have that sort of trick story. I. It's one of my. It's in my. My. My cross, my incarnation. There's an aspect of that playful, like, sort of twist, which, again, is the octopus, because. Yeah, she can be anything she wants.
Yeah.
Turn herself into anything that's sensual. She's very sensual. The octopus.
Yeah.
I love this, like, redefinition that. It's not a redefinition. It is the definition, but it's a redefinition of what we've been taught, whether it was just, like, in society or the messages we heard from whatever TV movies. It is a redefinition in itself that I feel like everyone needs to hear.
Yeah.
And it's just so beautifully expressed by you, who has this natural innate gift. And I love hearing how you give it.
Boy, so well.
Thank you. I express it the way I. It's a. It's a strange thing because it just. It does. It comes through. But that's the thing is I've stopped trying to touch it and I stopped trying to control it and I stopped trying to label it and put it because I tried to put myself in a box, like, oh, I'm the sexy one. Right. But I didn't want to be the sexy one. One of my favorite people in the world is Jennifer Coolidge. And now she's, like, really, like, come into her power. But that's why I feel very. She and I are very similar. We actually. I think she has the same channel as I do. Do you know what I mean? Actually, yeah, he has this one. This is one we share.
Yeah.
She and I the exact same channel. She's got the same thing I do because, like, you love her and, like, you're like, she's, like, sexy but funny. But, like, what is she like? How would you even describe her? Like, I don't even know. She's this extraordinary woman who is completely, like, wildly herself and hilarious and brilliant and beautiful, but also, like, sometimes weird. And she is the embodiment of the same thing that I have, which is why people when I was younger compared me to her. And Marilyn Monroe has it too, actually.
Yeah, I.
That is. I know that one for sure because I've seen Marilyn Monroe's chart before, but.
Yes, I love that. And Jennifer Coolidge.
Yeah.
And when I was in New York and I was acting, because they love to typecast you, that was what I got. That was what I got pegged as Marilyn Monroe. You're a Marilyn Monroe type.
Yeah. Yeah.
Fascinating. Because they did the same thing to her that they did to me. Oh, sexy lady. You're the sexy lady. And I'm like, no, I'm the, like, super smart. Just like, she was brilliant person who is getting trapped in an identity that she doesn't want to be trapped in. Thank you.
Yes. Yes. That's such a reminder, too, of, like, the people we resonate with. Like, we resonate with them for a reason. And there is, like, there are these deeper connections and there's so many lessons to be learned. And, you know, I love the other channel in your chart that, like, really popped out to me. And everything that you do and everything that you share is the channel of transformation and ambition. Right. And it is. Is what you're talking about. It is like, yes, I have this sensuality. I have this depth. I have this embodiment of the feminine energy. And I'm actually so driven. I'm actually so resourceful. I actually know how to create things and put them in. To motion. And I love that that is exactly what you're expressing.
Yeah. And that, you know, what's interesting is that's a little bit more masculine, Right. It's like, that's why it's interesting, because the sensuality is feminine in people's minds, Right. They're like, well, well, women are. The. Women are the. This is very God and goddess, mind you, right? Women, God, goddesses are sex and fertility. Like, we could break this down into Hathor and Horus really easily. Once upon a time, Hathor and Horus, these are the Egyptian goddesses. God and goddess, like, they were equal. They were bff, they were friends, they were pals, they were the same. Then one day they were like, wait a minute, wait a minute. This goddess is getting too much power. I know what we'll do. We'll take. We'll take Horus, make him, you know, the God of all this amazing stuff. And we'll take Hathor. We'll leave her here on earth. She's responsible for sex, and that's it. By motherhood. Woman, like all this mating and stuff. And then this is the man aspect, the God got to do all the power stuff. And that's why it's. That cy. For me, it was like I couldn't put the pieces together because, like, it was backwards. Because I think it's backwards because the feminine is smart. She's driven. She's who grows the. The. The. The flowers in spring. The feminine, right. Who's responsible for creation of earth, growth, food, babies. Like, who does that? The feminine does that. So the feminine knows how to get shit done. It's just that it was like this very like. No, no, no, you, you make babies. That's it. That's it. We do the rest.
Man does the rest.
Goddess, you are just here to make babies. Stay there, Stay. And now you're starting to see this change in power. And I really do feel that. Like, I feel that in my body because I am very driven. I've always been very driven people. Like, you're a type A, aren't you? And I'm like, well, no, I'm just a really smart woman who knows who she, who she is, who understands her values. And at this point I'm getting more and more direct. Like, I'm basically like, hey, this is me. If you're interested in doing X, Y and Z, let's have a conversation about it. If you're not, that's cool, just say no and I'll move on. Because I have a healthy self esteem and self worth. I don't need your validation or your love. I'm just, I want to talk about an opportunity. It's very businessy. It's very interesting because in the last few days I've really seen, seen the like CEO in me and I'm like, oh, like, this is a woman who means business. This is a woman who's like, don't with me. Don't with other women either because I've got my eye on you and I know who I am and you can't take advantage of me. But I know what, what the value is that I bring to this world. And I don't need you, Mr. Man. I'm that. And I don't mean that. Listen, I have a wonderful relationship with a boyfriend who, who I absolutely adore. So this isn't a man hating thing. It's the man, right? Very Barbie. It's the patriarchy. Like, I don't need you to tell me who I am or sell me. Right? You know me. You're not in charge of my career or my destiny. You don't get to say if I succeed or not. I do. Mic drop.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I feel like we have fireworks going off over here. Just visualize fireworks. Sparkler.
I'm sorry, you guys just heard my like, inner monologue, like, happening in real time, being like. And don't tell me who I am. And it was, that was my America Ferrera monologue from Barbie.
Yeah.
Tell us in your own words why you Hate the patriarchy.
Another exercise for everyone to. To bring to your journals after this episode. In your own words, what's your monologue.
So suck at patriarchy speech?
I. I think this is such a. A wonderful bow on the entire conversation we've had today, though, because I feel like there is this undercurrent reminder of, like, you get to be both. And, like, we started this conversation in imagination, in playfulness, and we're ending in this space of, like, mic drop, like a big fu. You know, this is who I am. This is who I'm standing for. This is what I'm standing for. I am here. And you get to be both. There doesn't have to be a dis. Disconnect. And so I love that you took us there.
Yeah. And I mean. And I think that's the beauty of my chart. And it's very much. If you look at the goddesses of the past, like, this isn't a. Like, look at me, I'm so amazing because I'm a goddess conversation. Right. It's. That's not what it's about. But if anybody's human design chart was like, this is the. This is the makeup of a goddess. Like, it really is that. All those. All those goddesses, the Egyptian goddesses especially, but even the Tibetan ones, they're like. They're like human from here, and then they're like beast on top, right. Sekhmet was a woman with a lion's head. From her heart, Lioness heart, to the top of her head, she was a lion. So, like, I think that I have the courtesy of being the one who is here designed to actually teach people how to do this for themselves. Because we all are here to be an embodiment of heaven and earth. We're all here to be an equal balance of masculine and feminine. We're all here to love ourselves compassionately and fiercely create what we want. You don't have to choose. You can be both or, And. Or whatever you want. Like, and this is even bigger than, like, at the end of the day, when I look at this now, I'm starting to see, like, this isn't even, like, man, woman thing. This is. This is for humanity. Because we're coming to a place where there's, you know, there's gender, there's race, there's all of these things that up until now have been very like, well, you're you, you're this and you're that, and this is okay, and that's not okay. And this is like a big fu to all of that. Because every single person on this planet. I don't care who you are. Has the same ability to be an incredible person here. We're important people. We're valuable. It's not even about, like, your. Your sex or your this or, you know, it's not about that. It's about the fact that when you're fully present with yourself, you're so connected to who you are that you are available, and all that stuff can stop. Like, we don't have to be mean or judge or do bullshit. We can actually love ourselves and love other people. Like, to me, that's the greatest. The greatest love of all, in the words of Whitney Houston. That's the point, I think.
Yeah.
Because then we don't have to fight with each other. We're like, I'm rad. You're rad. We're all rad together. Let's all be rad together. Stop all this bullshit.
Yeah. Yeah.
For each other.
Yeah.
Like, double tap on that. Maximize it. You're rad. I'm rad. Let's be rad together.
Yes. I mean that, though. I mean, I really feel that. And that's the thing is, like, you know, in my. When I was a kid, like, I was friends with everybody because I deserve. I loved everybody.
Yeah.
And it was like, you can't do that. You know, blah, blah. And I'm like, you know what? No, actually, that is who I am. I do love everybody, and I want everybody to succeed and be happy. Don't stop telling me who I am and who I can be and not be again. In your face. The end. I'm very spicy today.
We're here for it.
It's like. It's like a thing that, like. It's. It's the, like, fire that, like, starts in the base of. It's both Kundalini. But it's like that, like, fire in your belly that makes me want to just, like. Just, like, run through the streets with a banner that's like, yeah, let's go. It's the French Revolution in my body. It's. It's Les Miserables on the barricades waving my flag. It's hilarious because I. I've always been like this, but I've never really, like, allowed myself to fully be this. And now I am. So.
Yeah.
Whoops. You're stuck with me.
Yeah.
And how. And how freeing it is. How freeing it is.
Yeah. Yeah.
It's so fun. It's like, jump out the airplane. I said once to somebody and they said, well, how do you like, how do you want your life to feel? And I was like, I don't know. I want to feel like, like I'm jumping out of the airplane without a bra, and I'm just like, whoa, flapping in the wind. No shame. Just here having a great time. It's fun. We're supposed to have fun. We should love ourselves.
Yeah.
We are supposed to have fun.
Ants and ants in your pants, you know, have a great time. So, yeah, all that. All that.
Yeah. Yeah.
Oh, my goodness. This has been the best conversation. No surprise. I, I, I was so curious where it would go, and I'm so happy with how it unfolded and also very much not surprised by that at all. I might have to leave everyone on a cliffhanger here, because I know you have a magical, like, energetic forecast that I wanted to dive into, but I'm just gonna say we, we need to, like, do an Instagram live or, like, something where you get to, like, express that out in the world. Because you were sharing some bits and pieces of me before recording, and I was like, this is magical. So everyone on, like, a bit of a cliffhanger here, and that'll be, like, coming soon.
Yeah, well, we'll find ways to. Well, and I have some stuff that I'm also in the process of creating, so we'll find ways to sort of, like, continue, because, Because I, I think it's, it is. And I, I, in a way, it is kind of like season, like, this is the end of season one, right? Like, you're like, cliffhanger. You're like, oh, my God, it ended, and he's in the meat locker or whatever, and it's like, yep, sorry, friends, gotta come back for more.
Yeah. Yeah.
It's so true. It's so true. Oh, thank you so much for the conversation today. We'll have your magical meditation linked up in the show notes. Is there anywhere else you love for people to come chat with you or hang out with you on the corners of the Internet?
I mean, Instagram is always a great place to find me. So my handle is at. I am Katie Kozlowski. You can come over there, connect, join the party, shoot me a dm. Also, like, if you're inspired or you want to ask me something or if you're interested in any of my programs, stuff like that. I have a super cool program called Metamorphosis, which is probably not a surprise. So lots of things. I'm always, I'm always putting fun stuff out there. So, you know, the IG is another you know. Call me.
And let her know. If you watched my octopus teacher.
Yes. And also when you watched my octopus teacher, tell me if you are an octopus, too. And if you resonate with being an underwater goddess that changes color and is in love with a man. It's weird.
Oh, so good. So good. Okay, we'll see you next time. Friends.
