Is the Park Inn by Radisson Danube Bratislava worth it?

A solo traveler spent three nights at the Park Inn by Radisson in Bratislava and loved it. The junior suite has Danube views, the breakfast is extensive, and there's a pool overlooking the castle. She recommends it as a solid base for exploring the city, with the Old Town and castle visible from the hotel.

Slovakia had been on my list, but I didn't really know what to expect from Bratislava. Everything I read online said you could spend one day there and that would be enough, but I wound up spending actually 3 full nights there, and I think that's how much you need. I wound up staying at the Park in Bratislava by Radisson. You look up one direction and there's the castle, and the other direction is the Old Town, which is where most of what you're seeing is going to be located. So I honestly could not recommend a better place to stay if you want centrally located, especially as it was across the street from the bus station. I got it Got to park in Bratislava by the afternoon, checked in, was taken to this amazing junior suite looking eastwards toward the Danube. That was a gorgeous view to have every morning. They had this super fun headboard that changed lights, so I got to pick different colors depending on my mood. They also had excellent shampoo and conditioner. I know it's totally weird to like kind of like nerd out on their shampoo and conditioner, but as somebody who's been traveling out of a suitcase and carry-on size, I have bars of shampoo and conditioner, so having like really nice shampoo and conditioner is like super luxury right now. Their breakfast, awesome. There was so many options. It spanned their entire restaurant on the bottom floor. I had everything from grilled vegetables to yogurt to croissants. Like I said, it is located next to Old Town, so there is literally attractions like the one block over. It's also super easy to get to the castle from there. It is a little bit of an uphill walk, but it is a castle on top of a hill. That's what you're gonna get. I got the Bratislava Card from the tourist center, which was about a half mile away, and then used that to basically cover most of the main attractions I wanted to see. There was also tons of restaurants in that area. Just across the street, I went to a sushi place that I really enjoyed. At the hotel, there's also a giant pool that oversees the castle. There are multiple types of saunas there. They have a massive gym, and there was one guy in there when I went in there, so you have your pick of the litter, whatever you want to be using, whether the punching bag, the weights, They also have an Italian restaurant. The only thing was, I think the times they have listed on the website might be incorrect because I was— got down there just before 8 and I was told they were closing at 8 and on the website it said 9. But I've addressed this with them. Still enjoyed my meal, but I will say that I did like my meals outside of that hotel dinner better. From there I was able to walk the Danube. I walked across the main bridge right next to the hotel and then looped back around on the other bridge and got a lovely view of the castle at night. It's gorgeous. You have like the lights reflecting off the Danube River. It's just a nice thing to do while you're there. As a solo female traveler, I also felt safe enough to do that. So if you are also by yourself, there was plenty of people around, there was lights, and then we ended up actually stopping at Radisson's other hotel just like a block down and having a drink at their Mirror Bar, which is one of the top bars in the world. So if you're headed to Bratislava, I would highly recommend staying in the Park Inn. Not only is it centrally located, it's got a great view, it's got awesome amenities, superior breakfast. It's gonna make it so convenient for you to see everything you wanna see while you're visiting.
