Mike Andes charges $40 to mow a lawn in 20 minutes, which works out to $120 per hour. He avoids telling customers his hourly rate because they compare it to their own pay and get upset, but argues his efficiency justifies the price.
I'm not paying no $300. This is bull.
I'm never gonna give my hourly rate or per minute rate to the customer because they're gonna freak out. They're comparing it against what they're making at their job, and they think it's crazy that I'm charging 80 or 100 bucks an hour to mow their grass, when reality, I'm gonna do it three times faster than them. So, yeah, it's gonna cost you 40 bucks to mow your grass. You're like, that's awesome. I'm gonna do it in 20 minutes. That's $120 an hour.
