Hey, what is Mike Gandies here from Augusta Lawn Care. I'm the founder and CEO, but today's a really special episode. Stay to the end. I'm going to share some special stuff with you today. As most of you know, the goal for Augusta Lawn Care is that our franchisees create simple systems based businesses that they can copy and paste replicate over time. And so I'm super excited because next spring we're having three, possibly four of our franchisees start their second location. This is the complete model. This is what I've done. I have multiple locations with general managers that are over those locations. This gives the opportunity for the general manager to gain experience before they start their own location. And it also allows an owner to copy and paste replicate these systems and utilize the cash they earn from their first location to basically pour that into a second, a third, a fourth, and continue to grow their business empire. So I'm really excited about that. The big problem is finding general managers. It's not easy, it's pretty difficult. So what I'm going to be doing right now is offering and inviting you, or potentially someone you know to become a general manager for Augusta Lawn Care in 2022. So it's going to be the spring of 2022 when you'd be started, you'd be coming throughout the winter to get trained here by myself and our team at corporate headquarters. And it's going to be a lot of fun, it's going to be a lot of learning, it's going to be a lot of hard, hard work. The advantages of being a general manager are, as I'm going to show you in just a second, from the mouth of a couple of our general managers, a couple of the advantages that you're able to get first hand experience and education about the systems that we use at Augusta and really do it on someone else's dime. The owner is able to pay you a salary, you get profit sharing and you really run the location as if you were an owner. So the general managers are here from today. They do all of the hiring, all of all the advertising they get on a monthly coaching call just like a regular owner would. They really do everything inside the business just like an owner. They just don't have the upfront risk of all the capital that is required. Get the business off the ground, advertise, get a client base, et cetera. After two years, they are able to start their own location without an initial fee. So there's a lot of advantages to becoming a general manager if you don't have the capital required or the risk of tolerance for starting your own location. So without any further delay, we've got a couple general managers I wanted to I asked them to make a quick video while they're out in their route today and just talk about what their experience was being a general manager. I know both of them have the goal of owning their own location and I think that the general manager is a great step towards that and learning so very much about the way we do systems, the way that we run businesses at Augusta. And I'm very, very proud of the franchisee owners. They're now starting their second location starting in 2022 with many more to come. So without any further delay, let's go ahead and roll the tape with a couple of general managers. If you are interested in becoming a general manager for Augusta Lawn Care. Again, this is not from one of my locations. If you fill out the form, don't expect to hear from me. This is going to be going to our franchisees that are looking for general managers to be able to start their second, third locations. In the description there is a link. Click the link, fill out the form and and you're going to be added to a roster and basically that roster over the next 12 months. If there is a location that's next to you or that potentially you might be willing to move to, they will contact you. Currently, I know there's open positions for general managers in Tennessee, Oregon and Texas. But if you're not in those areas and you're not willing to move, still fill out the roster, fill out the form in case a position opens up that's closer to you or that you're willing to move to. Heads up, it is a salary position plus profit sharing. The lower you're willing to go on your base salary, probably the sooner you're gonna become a general manager. I'll just be full disclosure because a lot of times for the first year it's not gonna be the best salary. It's a matter of learning, education. That's what's invaluable. And doing that for a couple years will set you up, I believe, for a really good career in business. Alright, let's go ahead and hear from Chuck and from Felix.
Hi, my name is Chuck. I'm the general manager here with Augusta Lawn Care at the Mooresville, North Carolina location. And I've really enjoyed my time with Augusta as a general manager as I've learned the back end of the business, which I feel is the most important, where I really needed to hone my skills on the business side, how to run the business, how to market the business, how to manage the people, grow the business so that it was sustainable. As a manager, the program is great. Because of the 3F program, you have that ability to then purchase your current location, start a location without having to have the initial franchise fee, which is fantastic. I was at a place where I wasn't quite sure if I was ready. This gave me that opportunity to see the systems within Augusta really hone in my skill set of a manager to then become an owner and use those tools that Augusta provides you, and you just really get to see yourself grow and me be able to work on myself so that I can become a better owner when that time comes in the next year or two.
Hey, everybody, this is Felix, the general manager of Augusta Lawn Care of Dix Hills. I'm here to just tell you a couple things that I've learned. One of the biggest things I've learned working for Augusta is the project management, Managing a project from start to finish, Whether it's managing the time of the employees being on a job site, materials being delivered, or one of our employees picking it up, amount, quantity of materials. Another thing that I've learned is that with working with Augusta, you're never alone in whatever the situation is. There's been many situations throughout me working with Augusta that I didn't know what to do. But there's a huge team behind me who's there to answer questions, give me their opinion on things, or just tell me, hey, this is how you should do it, and this is the reasons why. So there's a lot of systems that Augusta has placed in front of me and given me tools so that way we can be successful as being general managers for Augusta.
Hey, everyone. I'd like to invite you to Landscape Summit. It's a conference I have in January. It's gonna be the 13th, 14th and 15th of January, 2022. It's here locally, and I'm really looking forward to meeting other landscapers like yourself, that want to grow.
