Mike Andes on why hiring matters more than almost anything else. The wrong general manager can tank a profitable location. The right one can turn a failing store into a cash machine.
Look, it cannot be overstated just how important it is to get the right people on the bus. And when it comes to hiring, it will make or break your business. I've had locations before that has the wrong general manager or the wrong team. Take the most profitable location and turn it to being unprofitable and vice versa. Taking something that's in shambles and making it super profitable because the right people were in place.
