This is a YouTube video titled "Do this BEFORE turning off leads!" containing a discussion between two speakers about managing in-person estimates for landscaping work. The conversation focuses on strategies to optimize scheduling and increase recurring revenue by limiting in-person estimates to specific days, rather than turning them off entirely. The content was created in July 2025.
Doing a ton of estimates right now and a lot of it is for, you know, landscaping type work, which we're kind of turning away anyway when we're getting this many estimates. Would you encourage us to turn off in person estimates?
Do you estimates every day of the.
Week right now, Monday through Thursday? I do in person estimates.
When you're doing in person estimates, it's almost always one time work.
Yeah.
And so it's not really we want to where we want to build anyways. I would, I would rather just be like we take all the recurring coming in, instant pricing, etc. And that's slowly increasing the percentage of the revenue that is recurring versus one time job. Instead of saying no in person estimate, just say I'm only doing estimates on Mondays. And then you like, you just like literally all day long you're driving around, but you just do it in one day and the rest of the week you're able to focus on the other aspects of operations, admin, etc. And then you don't have to say customers. No. Which is a pain in the butt. And then what's happening too is when you say like hey, you've got to wait till Monday, are you going to decrease your close ratio? Technically yes. However, the people who want you and you only, they'll still take you on Monday.
