In my opinion, there's five stages of leadership and it goes from bad to really good. At the center is good. All right, we start off with force. You can lead someone by force by telling them what to do and forcing them into it. This is like slavery, people going into war. Alright, the next stage, the next closest ring is positional authority. I am the general. I will tell you what to do because I am the boss. The next closest ring is incentive. I'm going to pay you to do this. If you eat your vegetables, I will give you ice cream. The next stage, next ring inside of here is passion. So I'm going to be excited, have a massive, massive idea of what they want to achieve. But the heart of leadership is that you would have a vision, have a vision, an audacious goal that is so worth achieving, so great, so ambitious that people follow you into battle trying to achieve that vision, because that vision outlasts you as the leader.
