The quickest way to get rich is to stop leaking money in admin and sales. In home services, a lot of times we get fancy. Ultimately, your customer is paying for you to get the job done. That's operations. But a lot of times we get distracted with the new flashy thing in sales, the next advertising campaign, next Facebook ads campaign. We get distracted. We also get distracted with all these other things in admin, like a big fancy shop space and fancy computers. Ultimately, what the customer is paying for is operations. Because you don't have the capital and you don't have the cash to be able to focus on admin and sales when the only thing you should be focused on is doing the actual work. So if the quickest way to get rich is stop the leaks when it comes to admin and sales, I'm simply going to say, okay, well, where's the sales process? Can I plug all the leaks? Maybe I can get to the estimate faster. Maybe I can do follow-up phone calls or text messages. These are the little things that I'm tweaking to make sure I don't have a whole bunch of leaks in the sales process. This is admin bloat. This is sales leakage, and it's killing your business.
