Short YouTube monologue (Mike Andes) advising business owners that to grow top-line revenue and scale crews/employees they must prioritize sales activities. He warns that spending the majority of time on administrative and operational tasks (phone systems, email, payroll, training, equipment) prevents growth and leads to plateaued businesses.

I'm always amazed how people will say they want to grow their business, but then they focus on the completely opposite thing when it comes just to allocating time in their day. So I think about your business having admin operations and sales, and for someone that's saying that they want to grow their business, the majority of their day, if not all of it, will have to be spent on sales. Because if you're spending the majority of your day figuring out phone systems, how to do your email, how to run payroll, software, training, admin and office people, trying to figure out equipment and how to do the most efficient thing for your crew, if those are the things that you're preoccupied on your time, admin, operations, the third component, sales, if that's not your primary focus, you'll never grow. And so for people that are plateaued their business or they're wondering why they can't grow the top line revenue, grow the number of employees, grow the number of crews that they have, it's because usually they're just spending time on the wrong thing.
