Look guys, I'm kind of matching my drink. Actually, mm, not really. Don't look too close. Anyways, happy Saturday. Saturdays are always my favorite because I get to spend the morning with Michael and we get to go work out together. And we have a little story for you guys.
Last night I wake up at 3:30. Well, I hate getting woke up by anything or anyone. In the next door, next room over, the batteries on the fire alarm were low. You know how annoying it is to wake up at 3 o'clock, go downstairs, get a broom, get a ladder. Yes, I have to get a ladder Okay, then you push the button and of course when I do they all turn on. So I knew it would wake Brandon like right away.
I jumped out of bed because I thought it was our carbon monoxide thing, like alarm. Yeah, yeah. Um, because we have a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector all in one and I didn't even— like, I woke up so fast I didn't even register if he was next to me, but in my mind I was like, oh man, I have to turn this off before he wakes up. He's gonna be so mad. Mike hates getting woken up at night. And then I walk in and he's already there on the ladder trying to fix it.
What was funny it's one of those things where like I could realistically barely hear the beep of the alarm. It actually took probably like 10 beeps for it to like slowly wake me up until I was like, okay, it's awake. And then I'm like, okay, I can try to— I just gotta like shut out, kind of white noise. I got earplugs in, it's two doors in between us, but it was enough faint enough just for me to hear it to where it just bothered me so much.
See, I can sleep through stuff like that, but once the alarm, like the real alarm went off of like the detector going off, once it reset, I was awake. But we are currently We're going on our way to the headquarters building because there's been new developments.
We got a work order change. We are putting on a brick facade on the bottom 3 feet of the building. It's gonna look good, but it did cost a lot of money.
Have they started on that part?
Yeah, that's what, that's what makes it look different.
Oh really?
You're gonna be like, oh, I can see what they did. Every time we go there, Ben's like, what happened?
Yeah, it all looked— now the structure's up, I'm actually seeing developments, like how they put 2 doors next to each other.
I'm still not sure why they did that.
We'll get there. Let's cut to it now.
All right, so I left the princess in the car. But lots of progress being made. Here, I'll flip this around. Okay, so this is the backing for the facade. It's going to be the nice kind of gray-black brick all the way around, which would be nice. And then they have all everything framed in for all the windows. If you can't tell, lots of windows. Let's go! Lots of natural light coming in. On building number 2, which will go back there, I'm going to have floor-to-ceiling windows, but this is not really built for that with the whole metal building. Okay, well, we already got insulation. Insulation. We got— wow, a lot of windows. Let's go. And then I think next week they put in the big roll-up door. A bunch of other stuff. Don't know what that is. Oh, it looks— maybe the roll-up door's inside there. I don't know. Bunch of materials. Okay, good stuff. This is what Brianna was talking about. I have no idea why there's two doors here. None. I have absolutely no idea whatsoever because I'm pretty sure there's going to be a wall right here, go down the center, right? Cool. Cause then this will be like a little office area inside here. Then I don't know what this door is for. Like why there's, there's these two, because there's going to be a wall here. I don't know why the office needs two doors. Anyways, I could be a fire code. Who knows? I looked on the plans and it only had one. So I'm going to go on a limb and say they didn't make a mistake though, because That's pretty crazy. But yeah, you can see like lots and lots of windows. These are all windows on the top and on the bottom. Lots of windows. Offices with natural light are just so much better. Supposedly the next couple of weeks they'll be framing the entire interior out. By the time we leave in a couple of months, it'll be like to the finishes, which will be nice. But like the entire interior framing, all the walls, interior, all the bathrooms, all that stuff will be built out. So is finally starting to take shape.
As I like to say, it is a good day to have a good day. And it is also upper body day. So it will be a good day. That was so dumb. Let's go get a lift in. Good morning. Good morning. I got these for you. You're amazing.
Thank you. Again, customer acquisition cost is always the thing I'm tracking if I'm ever thinking about new market, like geographically, or adding new services, because both those things, I will make more money, but I also add complexity to the business. But before I do that, I'm looking at customer acquisition cost.
So being that we are moving to Texas temporarily, albeit temporarily, I'm using this as a good opportunity to get rid of some clothes that I don't wear anymore, because I feel like that's actually the majority of closet. I wear the same probably like 10-ish outfits, and the rest I feel like don't really fit me anymore. So I have a donate bag, and I also have a Depop, which I sold a few things on, like kind of the nicer-ish name brand clothes that I have, like Snoga skirts, which is like the athletic gym skirts that I wear, and then like the Main Street Exchange skirts and whatnot. So I need to be ruthless about what I get rid of, but I'm always like, "Oh, I'm gonna— I could totally wear this again," or like, "I don't have enough clothes, so I should probably hang on to this just in case." But no, I need to donate or sell some things. So, I'm already looking at what I have and I'm like, "I don't want to get rid of anything," but I need to. I need to. I do like this, but it's big on me, so I should just sell it. Okay, sell. Good Vibes. I got this— I got this from Costco. Like years ago. It will be big on you, but I don't want to hear it. Why am I having such a hard time getting rid of things that I'm not gonna— you know what, okay, let me not touch fall clothes and like cold weather clothes. Okay, this is getting donated. I have not worn this, and it's like a night dress. Definitely donating this. I got this from Walmart. It's too big on me. Okay, I'm gonna sell this. This is also from the Main Street Exchange. The fact that I over— like, I don't know. This is just not me anymore. I don't, I don't know what style I'm trying to— I just like comfortable, casual, athleisure, to be honest. And this is not my vibe anymore, so we're selling that. And this is my wedding dress, which I have yet to take to the dry cleaners. You know, it was a very long dress. It actually, it wasn't like super muddy on our wedding day, but it was damp. Anyways, the bottom of my dress got soiled and I've yet to take to the dry cleaners. I've got to do that. It's been like almost 2 years, kind of a year and a half. Okay, let me go through the rest of this stuff. Kind of forgot that whenever we moved into this house just a few months ago, I kind of did the same thing and I purged a ton of my clothes. So the donation pile is just like half a trash bag, and then I'm selling 2 things. I don't like spending a lot of money on clothes, especially all at once, but I am slowly learning buy it nice or buy it twice. That applies to literally everything. I actually learned that the hard way with our furniture that I bought for this house. Our furniture is great, like no complaints, but in like 10 years whenever we get different furniture, I will actually buy it nice. Okay, that chirping— still waiting on the batteries for our smoke detector to come in, so if you hear chirping periodically, I apologize. Eventually, whenever I completely redo my wardrobe, I think I'll feel a little bit better about getting rid of the clothes I do have right now. But I feel like if I got rid of what I have now I would have nothing. So right now I'm kind of having to get rid of some stuff because like it also doesn't fit me anymore. Like the two things I'm selling and then basically everything that I'm donating, they just don't fit. Eventually I'll completely revamp my wardrobe, but that's expensive and I don't like spending that much money all at once, especially for something that I feel like is not a necessity. For groceries, I'm like, you know, if I go to the grocery store, to Costco, and drop $150 once a week, I'm like, okay, this is groceries. Like it's good for us, it's reinvesting back in our health. But for clothes, I can't justify it. But it does feel good. To be able to resell some stuff and get some money back for it. So I'm going to list these two items on Depop. I absolutely love Depop. It is so user-friendly, like honestly dummy-proof, and that's helpful. But yeah, I've already sold like 4 different skirts on here, and there's still one listing up that I've discounted like twice and it's still not going, so that might not ever sell. If you're interested, Brianna_Andi I just got back from a couple local cheese shops. I went to one and they recommended another little like stand. I figured I would do a mini haul. I just got 3 things, but from the first place I went to, it's a place like that's just down the road from us called Twin Sisters Creamery. So if you live in the area, go check them out because it was super cute. They like mostly do cheeses of course, but they had meats from like other local businesses, which it is a very expensive, but I always try to support local when I can. It does hurt to see how expensive it is compared to like what you get from the store, but obviously you're getting better quality and it is just like nice to know that it was sourced locally. I didn't get any meat this time, but I did get some sauerkraut, which I'm— or not sauerkraut, kimchi. I did get some kimchi, which I will try on camera here in a second. Um, obviously like super clean ingredients. Kimchi is so good for gut health and it is in my meal plan. I have some sauerkraut in the fridge right now that I did get from our farmers market So I've been using that as like my probiotic, um, dose every day. But I want to try that kimchi real quick. In the same place, I got this blue cheese dip. Oh yeah, here's their logo, Twin Sisters Creamery. The lady there, Amy, was saying that their blue cheese dip is like the most popular thing there. I cannot have this as it is not a part of my meal plan, but Mike can. So I'm gonna get him to try it later. But it has very clean ingredients, and the cheese that they use in here, like It came from the Twin Sisters Creamery, so I'm so excited for him to try it. It looks really, really good. She said that people come in there and just like bulk buy that stuff. That's how popular it is. And then she recommended me to go to this other fridge stand that's not too far from our house actually. I'm so glad she told me about it because they have like other different cheeses, but they had— I'm gonna totally butcher how to say this— cotija. Cotija. I think you say cotija cheese. I'm making something for Mike later for dinner and I'm gonna use for it, which I will have in her video. You've probably already seen it by now, or it is coming out shortly. But I want to make like a street corn salsa, and I didn't have any cotija cheese. Perfect that I found this. So I'm very, very happy with this find. So I'm gonna put these in the fridge. I'm so excited for this kimchi. Let's try to get one of everything, even though it low-key all tastes the same. There's a good bite. Wow, wow, that is easily the best kimchi I've ever had. It is so unique. There's almost like a floral taste. Where is that coming from? Gochugaru? I don't know what that is, so maybe that's— no, there's ginger. It's probably the ginger that I'm tasting. But wow, Brits Market Jubilee kimchi. I want to go back and get their sauerkraut. Every few months I forget that I have an espresso machine, and I'll go through spurts where I'm absolutely obsessed with it. This obsession might actually stick because if you were to drink a whole cup of coffee that the larger pods produce, I think that's like 120-ish grams or milligrams of caffeine, and I already have caffeine pretty early in the morning for my workouts, so I don't want that much caffeine. So I discovered the espresso pods, which is just one shot of espresso, and it's a lot less coffee. But my favorite right now is the Blonde Roast from Starbucks, so I'll pull one of those. This This flavor is the best. Torani Salted Caramel, sugar-free. I'll just do like a splash of that. Even whenever we go to our favorite coffee shop, Liminal, I get salted— sugar-free salted caramel. It is the best ever. And I also got it on sale for $5.50, so of course the day's even better. While that shot cools, I will get about 100 milliliters of this Kirkland almond milk. Try to keep it as low calorie as possible. This whole latte itself is 20 calories. Usually my order would have been a honey cinnamon oat milk latte, but We got goals to hit, so that's on the back burner for now. And we're doing a single shot of espresso with sugar-free syrup and almond milk. Oh my word, it smells so good. The blonde roast is so good. So I'll put my glass on the scale, and I have it on grams because like grams, milliliters, tomato, tomato. We will do 100 grams of this milk, or 103, that's— that works too. And then our shot and syrup. Obviously I like to do this first so the milk can cool off the shot, and when we put the ice in, it doesn't melt as much. Like, look at that color! That hits every time. This weekend we are leaving for the last turnaround trip of 2026, which is actually crazy to think about. Usually we wouldn't wrap up the trip until like October because that's when it starts to get pretty cold everywhere, but being that we're moving to Texas, that whole project is going to take up all the bandwidth on the team for filming and editing and everything like that because Mike is going to be making like vlogs 3 to 4 times a week. We did get an applicant in who lives like 40 minutes away. He definitely seems like he would be a good candidate for the turnaround show, definitely having some pain points that I know that Mike can help out with. So I'm about to hop on a call with him, see if we can work something out for before we leave to Texas. We'd have to like move pretty quickly on this one. It would be just so ideal. We could like make a day trip out of it. He's only like less than an hour away. So let's go and hop on this call and see what's up. Hey, can you hear me?
Yeah, I can hear you.
Sorry about that. I was not even— I think an hour after I had listed that Lululemon sweatshirt, it sold. So I just got back from dropping that off at the post office. Honestly, I have no reason to promote Depop except for the fact that I genuinely love how user-friendly that app is. I don't know if you can change this in settings, but I think by default the buyer of the product pays for shipping. So you just get the QR code, take it to the post office, they scan it and they print the label there. It's a super seamless process. I feel so good getting rid of things that I don't use anymore. And like, I hate clutter and things that take up space. I just feel good about getting rid of stuff. We leave for the final turnaround of 2026 in 2 days. Well, actually, we're going down to Seattle on Saturday to go to a Mariners game with my brother and sister-in-law, and then we're flying out early Sunday morning. We are first flying into Boston to do a turnaround like an hour away from the airport. I actually don't remember what part of Massachusetts it'll be in, but we are flying into Boston since we get direct flights there., which is always super nice. And once we finish up that turnaround there, we'll be flying into Detroit, Michigan for a turnaround in that area. Technically, we have that local turnaround. I did the call with the applicant yesterday, as you saw, and it went well. So we plan on going up to Canada for that one. So this trip is like technically the last trip because the next one is just going to be like a day trip up to Canada. How many times did I say trip? Count it. I'm making a coffee so I can sip on it while I meal prep some chicken. I'm still on a very strict meal plan with my coach, but we started to reverse So reversing, it means like I've been doing a cut for so long and now we want to work my calories back up to maintenance and even a surplus eventually so I can grow some muscle. But I don't want to gain all the fat back that I lost, obviously. So like we're doing it in a very slow way. So 100% adherence to the nutrition plan is absolutely so important right now. So I'm gonna batch prep a ton of meat and food just to take on the turnaround trip. I'm just like, I cannot stray off the path. Here. Like, I need to be 100% adhering to the plan. Honestly, even if you're not on like a meal plan being enforced by a coach, I have always tried to ingredient prep. So like just making sure there's always a cooked lean source of protein in the fridge, or even vegetables, even just like pre-chopping your vegetables and having it easily accessible is like absolutely key if you want to try to keep a consistent diet. Because like, I don't know about you guys, but when I get hungry, I get hangry. And so if I can limit the amount of time that I have to wait for my next meal whenever I'm hungry, just by having everything prepped, definitely would set me up for success to stay on track to eat healthy. If you're someone who tends to go for fast food or just like the convenient route of like time sake, um, totally get it. But it is such a life hack to just make sure you have things already prepped in the fridge, like a good protein source, carb source, and veggie. I typically make a ton of chicken and beef at once, keep what I'll have in the fridge to last me a few days, and then freeze the rest of it. What a gorgeous color. Let's get some ice in there. Music to my ears. When we moved to Texas, we're allowed to pack a certain amount of things in my car before we ship it off. You best believe I'm packing my Nespresso machine.
We're late to the game.
We're very late to the Mariners game due to traffic, so we're catching up through the radio.
All right, Panzer, what do you think about the Mariners?
I just hope everyone wins, and I hope everyone has a good time. I'm just here for a good time.
It's 3-3 and we're not doing very good.
You know when you reopen your eyes, you're just waiting to see the time that you need to leave? That was me. There we go. All right, folks. We're on our way to Boston! Stay tuned for some turnaround content in the next vlog but thank you for watching— have a good week? Bye bye-bye-bye-bye-bye... brrr!
