Hey everyone. Hope you're doing super well. Happy Friday. Couple announcements to kick things off.
Today. Those of you using Zooper are going to get an email from Lonnie with an invite to a webinar for next Wednesday. It's gonna be at 2pm Pacific Standard Time, 5pm Eastern Standard Time. So make sure you book that on your calendars. I think it would be really, really helpful actually going over some of the basics and some of the things that she consistently sees people making errors on. And they're sometimes reported as bugs and things, but they're just user error and operator error. So she'll go over those things live with all of you. Keep in mind, Zooper has a really, really good or it's getting really good knowledge base and it's a back end where they have a lot of articles about how to use certain things. And so I've linked to that from the Academy and it's really, really helpful for, for finding little details or if you're trying to run something or build something. So make sure you check that out as well if you are a Zooper user. I am going to be away out of town for a week from August 19th through the 28th. Bit of a last minute decision and that is I'm going actually to Australia for the whole week for a Jim's Mowing franchise training. Jim's Mowing tried to franchise in the United States. They started in Texas and they had got about 20 or 30 locations and it just did not do well. So they actually backed out of the United States. They've done pretty well in Canada, actually. Very well, especially in British Columbia and a couple other of their provinces. But they've really just avoided the U.S. they said they really don't find that what they do is really jives with the entrepreneurial spirit of most Americans. That's literally what they said to me in terms of trying to growth because most of Jim's Mowing is just one operator and that's it. And they just basically do that. It's very expensive in Australia to have employees. The way that they have minimum wage and apprentices. You got to be basically paying someone $25 an hour, minimum. So it's very hard to have employees, especially 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 employees. It's difficult. You've really got to go big. So they really focus on one solo operators basically. But I'm going to be going over there and they're letting me stay for the entire training. It's going to be very, very helpful for us because I'm going to be able to see how their operation runs in terms of servicing 2000 locations. Most of those, almost all of them are in Australia. But nonetheless just to see their infrastructure and.
All of that is going to be really helpful. Obviously I can't like record it and send it to everyone, But I think 99 of it is going to be the actual training that I'm in is just going to be review, it's going to be, I want to see, I got to see the infrastructure, I got to see how, how they do their call center, I gotta see how they, how they do training, et cetera. So we are already adding more training. We're adding a fourth day of training for us starting in September. For the new franchisees they're starting in about six weeks. So we've already added in things like we have a skills test on software now and we're also adding in where when before someone leaves here they actually have to pass an exam, it's going to be a skills based exam that before they leave here they have to pass. So that way we can really make sure that a lot of the little details and things that we see consistently being made, mistakes on are ironed out prior to leaving here for training. So we're adding extra days and things like that. But me being there for a week is not ideal. I don't like to have spend an entire week on the other side of the side of the world. But I think it'll be really beneficial to us long term. I know I'll come back with a lot of good ideas in terms of how we can be better serving all of the owners as well as just our back end infrastructure. So they do things very differently in Australia. I've already seen it from the way they interacted with me. But I do believe that there's still a lot I can learn from them. So obviously even though they don't have a large like their locations don't get large, it's still gonna be good for me to see 2,000 locations regardless of how big those sizes are. You have to have some good backend infrastructure and software and things like that. So I'm gonna be looking at that. I'm looking forward to it.
And I think I'll just be better prepared in terms of training our new franchisees. So that's gonna be August 19th through 28th. I will probably, I know I will. 9:30 Pacific Standard Time live streams but I will be making videos and answering questions and things like that still while I'm away. But I still have Few weeks away. So that's that last thing. Here, let me share my screen.
And that is I put this on the dashboard and that is the banner for the conference. The Wednesday p.m. dinner at 6pm is not 100% confirmed yet because I don't know if this place that I'm trying to rent is going to be big enough in terms of the restaurant. So we'll just see. We'll see. I will have more details on the 6pm dinner, but I know everyone's going to already be there. Most everyone's going to be there already that evening. So there's no point in not having something that night and then kind of breaking the ice getting to know a bunch of people. So that way Thursday we can actually dive into stuff and really get our hands dirty together instead of you're just learning and meeting a bunch of people on that Thursday. So that's the current plans. Just in terms of anyone who needs to plan. I've already see, I can already see I have a typo here. It's 2023, not 2022. So I'll get this revised up here today. But I wanted to get this out as soon as possible in terms of dates. It's the 4th through the 7th, 2023, obviously. And if you just go to mikey.com summit, the venue details are on there in terms of the hotel. And I would really recommend everyone here, like get your hotel now because they only have a certain amount of rooms. We will fill that whole hotel with just the conference. So please get your, your, your hotel. Probably in a month or two when I start talking about on the podcast and the videos, it'll fill up really quickly and. Excuse me. I really, really look forward to having the conference this year where we're all at the hotel and it's all in one spot. It's gonna be really nice to have that. So you definitely wanna be on site and the pricing is very reasonable. So. Okay. That's all I had for announcements. I think I had a question that came in.
One thing Max had texted me the other day about. He said he went into Indeed and was trying to get creative with.
His titling. And so he put on there like do not apply for this job as the title and they actually banned his account. So he's going to work on trying to get his account back. But just, just he said maybe you want to share this as a heads up, don't get too creative. So I told him you got to swing for the fences if you're trying to hit home. Runs and sometimes you strike out. So. All right. Will the financing feature in Zebra be available for Canadian users? I have not dug a lot into this financing option because it was literally just launched a couple of days ago from Zooper. Now, let me just go ahead and show you. I did pull this up.
Share this screen. This is what.
This is the form that Zooper has on their support backend and they're using a third party called wisetac. So again, the reason we like Zebra is because they can integrate with all these different types of softwares. So wisetac is a separate provider and I think you can actually see my screen here. Nope, you can't. Boom. Share Share window, Window.
Chrome there. So this is wisetac. You go to their website. So I have not looked into this Max, if it's available in Canada specifically, because they just launched it. I'm going to dive into this next week and see exactly how this all works, what it looks like from a customer standpoint, et cetera. Obviously, we don't own Zooper, so I don't get to see what they're doing on the back end all the time. They just asked us if we'd like to be part of their pro. Part of this for them. Kind of like their beta of this whole Buy now, pay later. But that form, you can get there by simply going to the. Let me share this. Sorry. This way. I'm doing these windows this morning is not helpful. If you go to the dashboard, though, go to Academy, go to Zooper and then just scroll down to.
Set up Buy now, pay later. This is that form and it's going to walk you through step by step of how this all works. Right. So it ranges for anywhere from 500 to $25,000. Talks you through the merchant, onboarding, your settings, all the rest of it. It's really easy in terms of Zooper to turn it on. Just go to organizational settings, literally just go to the financing option, toggle it to being on, and then set in your threshold amounts and kind of like what your ranges that you're going to allow are. And you can put, you know, Wisetac is obviously the integrating platform, etc. So this will walk you through this whole process, making this integration available. And yeah, so if you want to do this, you can, I'm not going to like be pushing this. Obviously, you know, there's no, no reason for us to do this. This is. If you're doing bigger projects, though, if someone ever asked about it, you could make this an available option. You could just put it at the bottom of your invoice. They walk you through this pro that process if you had specific questions about that. So I would definitely reach out to wisetac Max, if I was you specifically and just drop them an email there, have the support right on there and just say, hey, this is working. Canada. I would imagine so. But I also know the whole banking system is totally different there. But I would imagine like Visa credit card, those are the same. So I just don't know about consumer debt, how that works. If they're running through banking or if they're running through credit lines, that would be the differentiating factor. So I got to dig into wisetac. Honestly myself, I have not done a whole lot of research because I didn't even know it was being launched on Wednesday. They just had asked us months ago if we'd like to be included in that program. So that is all I have for you all today and hope you all have a fantastic weekend and we will stay in touch and see you Monday.
