Hello Augusta Nation. Hope you're all doing super well. I'm recording this.
It is what, 7, 7:30 our time in Australia. I'm doing this mostly so I can fight my jet lag. I need to work for at least the next four or five hours so I can get past this jet lag. I didn't sleep much last night and so now if I go to sleep though at 7:30 we're gonna have some serious issues the rest of the week. So I'm trying to completely reset the body clock, try to stay up till 12 o' clock to so figured making a video will keep me awake. So let's go through some announcements though, some really important ones. So I did want to make this video.
I just finished going through one of our drafts that we do for the website and that is for the dashboard. So I'm going to show you the dashboard, what we're working on. It's not done yet. We still got a couple more weeks left on it. And the reason we're extending it because I was hoping to do it by the end of September, like this week. This coming week we're going to push off one more week because GA or Google Analytics. GA4 is coming out. GA4 is actually completely redesigned and revamped side of Google Analytics and so we're trying to actually set that up so that way our back end is already GA4 compliant and you will not have to create a new account for GA4 which is going to be the case for everybody in Google Analytics before July 2023. So all that say we're going to delay it by one week so that way it's all compatible. I'm going to show you what it's closely going to look like today and I'm also going to show you something that if you are doing Christmas lights, you really got to pay attention. So because we are delaying a couple weeks, I did want to make sure that we do at least a Christmas lights for those of you who need it next week. So let me just go ahead and show my screen. I'm going to first show the Christmas lights what that page looks like and then I'll show you.
What to do if you want this added. So again this is in the future going to be on the dashboard for you to be able to change. But because we're doing this two week delay, I want to have this as a separate option for you to get up next week on for Christmas lights. So this is what it looks like in terms of the design.
We kind of used What Ryan Payne's vendor had used in the past and was starting to charge a horrendous amount of money. I think it was 1500 bucks a month. I forget what it was. It was too much or 800. I forget. So this will just be an ad service page. You can drive traffic directly to this page from an ad, etc. So feel free to take a look at this. This is just an example. This is not on anyone's page right now. Now to do this, what I need you to do, let me go ahead and stop sharing this and then I'll share. I need to fill. I need you to. If you want this added, just go ahead and fill out this document right here. And this link is in the description of this video. So we're watching this on YouTube right now. In the description is a link and they're going to have you fill out this form. So it's just expedited Christmas light service page. So if you can't wait two weeks until the dashboard is done and you want like your Christmas lights page up right away next week, just fill out this form. Again, link in the description. Just fill out your territory name and your email address. We'll get those expedited. If you don't really care, you can. Hey, I'm just. You're not going to mark it until October anyways. In two weeks you'll be able to do this even simpler from the dashboard. So I'm going to show you what we're working on in terms of the dashboard so you can get an idea of what we're trying to perfect. It's going to be a long term something that we're working on, but definitely you'll see the direction we're going, at least for now in terms of the dashboard for the website. Let me show you this one. Cool. So this will be sent out like I said, in about two weeks for you to be able to log in. I'm going to show this is Corpus Christi's and this again, just our test account. The design is not going to look exactly like this, but I just want to show you kind of what we're working on. So this is the stats side of things. And this is hooked up to their Google Analytics right now, which theirs is a little bit different because they have one Google Analytics account for both Corpus Christi and, and Rockport. But you can see here, this is pretty cool. You get your traffic overview and sessions, users, et cetera. And prior to actually when you log in, you actually get a key for what page Views mean what sessions mean, what users mean, et cetera. You'll see where all your traffic is coming from. So it looks like they're running some sort of, you know, probably Google Ads. Google Google Ads.
Google local services, et cetera. They have organic search that's really good. And then you have direct. There's people directly looking for Augusta lawn care. So again, something good to track. Yeah, so again this is useful. Usually those top three are the main ones that you're going to be driving traffic from unless you're running a Facebook ad. Down here we have some more data points I think are good. Traffic by device, again you can see the vast majority, 68% of this one specifically is mobile. And you have traffic by demographics. So your age demographics, again useful information. And we're all we're literally doing here is pulling information from Google Analytics. So this is not like some sort of custom code. Honestly, there's no reason to try to do custom code when you have Google Analytics. That is the best of the best. We've just made it simpler to read and easy to digest. So really easy to see on Google. My business overview, number of views you've collected, et cetera. And yeah, some pretty cool stats just made it a really easy to digest way. Now the support side of things is the part that we're still working a lot on and what you'll basically do. Let's see if I can do this. Yeah, so once you get past this, this is where you'll be able to change something on your website, like your phone number, your business hours, you can add something like if you want to add the chatbot, if you want to add Christmas Light, this is like for example in a couple weeks you just click click on that and you would be able to click submit and that's it. And we'd be able to have this up in a couple days and change. If you want to remove something.
If you want to remove certain service pages, if you want to remove the chat, if you want to remove the request form, if you like overloaded in the spring rush, for example, and then being able to also modify the estimate request form. If you want to remove certain options like in person estimates or drive bys, you want to take both of them away so it's only over the phone, etc. Get something. This would be access to your actual Google Analytics account because we're going to set up your GA4 and we can just give this to you if you wanted to actually see further analytics, we could just send this to you and Then this one, we just kind of threw it in here just to be able to have an option second option in here. But this will be able to get your like your Adobe Illustrator files of Augusta Lawn care, the logo, etc. Already in the dashboard for download. But we just put it there. So we'll be adding more to this where we are finding it. We have some pretty cool stuff we want to add to this, but for now this will be something that within a couple days you'd be able to submit the support ticket and it'd just be a much more automated and friendly way of doing this. And so for example, if you wanted to add a seasonal banner, you go down here like hey, I want to add this Christmas lights one, I want to add this snow one, whatever it might be. And this would go on your front page and we'll add more of these so you can kind of modify this as you want throughout the year. So pretty cool. At least you can see the direction that I'm going to with it. It's not done yet and it will not be done for two more weeks. But then you will get a separate login. And again this is@dashboard.augustalongerservices.com so I will make a login page from augustafranchise.com so that was just like we'll call it something along the lines of website Dashboard. And you click on that to be able to edit all of this stuff that I'm showing you here now. And we'll just constantly be updating and improving that as time goes on. Be adding a lot more cool stuff down the road. But that's kind of the overall direction.
Cool.
Okay.
Let me go ahead and jump into some questions. There's a couple I saw. I haven't seen them yet.
Cool.
All right.
Let'S see.
Is Kyle.
I put 200 each month into SPY. Those of you who don't know SPY is SPY is an index that basically tracks the in the S P500 on the stock market. Currently my goal is to use this money when I'm older to live off of. I'm going to have multiple businesses also, but I want to make sure that I have something stashed away just in case. Currently I'm just using the automatic transfer and investing feature in Robinhood so it automatically does this for me. Do I need to do this type of investing into an Roth ira or can I just keep using Robinhood? Any tips to bulletproof my investing strategy to get more bang for my buck? Great question. So if you're going to be doing this $200 a month. I would highly recommend using a Roth IRA. So obviously you should, you know, like literally every bank will allow you to start a Roth IRA account. You'll find like one piece of paper and you're good to go and, or you could even do it online. I think mine's through Fidelity. So even though I don't, I really don't think about a lot about my Roth IRA or my retirement, like that sort of thing, I don't because I know I want to run businesses till I die. But.
If you're going to be putting money aside passively like this, you definitely want to put it into an ira. Not just like on Robinhood. The reason for that is because in 2022 the limit is $6,000 per person. So if you're married, you need $12,000 per year into an IRA. And that is going to have way better tax implications. Right? So you have a traditional ira, you have a Roth ira. It simply is going to determine like the government's going to get the tax one way or the other on the upfront or they're going to get it when you cash out. For most people a Roth IRA is good. But again, just look up traditional versus Roth ira. You'll get a full breakdown better than I could ever give and determining which one is going to be best for you. But basically how you want to look at it is it's going, you're going to allow it, the growth of that account is going to grow tax free.
And so I would highly recommend doing that. If you're putting say six, you know, if you're in 200amonth at $2,400 a year, you're probably going to save yourself, you know, five to $800 a month or five to $800 a year in taxes if you times it by two because you have a spouse, you start moving that dollar amount up as you get older and you start getting more on five, six thousand dollars a year. That's what I would recommend doing is putting it into Iraq. If you're going to be passive investing in the index funds, that's what you want to do just to get your best bang for your bucks and have a tax advantaged account. So 401ks, Roth IRAs, all those type of vehicles are a great way to do it because it is typically protected in terms of taxes. So definitely would recommend doing that. I was going to say something else and just totally slipped my mind.
The CC filter out jobs that are out of our five mile service area. I'm thinking about adding a lawn route in the next town over, but would just need to market in this area first. Yeah. So if you're out, if, if there's jobs outside of your service area and people call you, we're going to give it to you as long as it's. There's not another territory that is there and as long as you want them, like if you're in your service area. So Kyle, I know you're coming here in a couple weeks and they'll go over this with you in terms of your service area can be outside your 5 mile race for a lot of people, they don't even serve their entire five mile radius. They have a smaller service area. You can do however you want as long as not in another territory. If another territory came along though, they could potentially buy that location out by that territory and then you would no longer be able to market in the area. You would be able to keep your existing customers though, so. Or potentially if you're planning on down the road to be a second location, you could do that potentially as well.
Okay, that's all I got. Cool. Well thank you for sticking with me so I can stay awake a little bit longer. Gotta keep pushing through about five more hours. Four more hours. I need four more hours. I'll be happy. So yeah, mostly just they wanted to address the Christmas page, Christmas Lights page. If you want that service page, please do the form. That way we can get it done this coming week. If you don't mind waiting a couple more weeks. You're not going to like remarketing it until middle of September and in a couple weeks that dashboard will be available for all of you to log in and be able to make the change there. But if you need, if you want your Christmas light page done asap, please fill out the form and we will get that.
Done next week. And that page will look very similar to what I was showing you there in terms of the Christmas lights page. And like I said, in two weeks we will have those logins for the dashboard so you can make changes to the site, add banners, etc. We're going to keep adding to that over time, add more banners, add more optionality for you and just make it a better experience. You're not emailing us for changes to your website. You know, if you're overloaded with work, you can turn off your chatbot. If you're wanting to turn off a certain service, you can just go in there and change it. So looking forward to that being a little more systematized instead of us doing it all manually like we did this past spring, and it just being a lot of manual work on our end and it's frustrating for you all. So I think that's all I got. Hope you're all doing super well and we'll see you tomorrow or sometime. I'll just be recording this week since most of the time it'll be 2, 3, 4 in the morning your time. I don't think I'll go live. Last thing you want to be doing is doing a live watching me live at 2 and 3 in the morning. So thanks everyone. Take care.
