A small-business owner compares two booking methods: customers can check prices and book online instantly, or call for a quote and have their card stored. The owner refuses to hire phone staff or publish prices online, worried competitors will undercut them.
My customers can go to my website, select exactly what service they want, get a price, and check out. Or they can give me a call at the office and someone's going to give them a price, put their card on file, and get them on the schedule right away. Honestly, maybe 3 or 4 days later I'll get back to them eventually, but there's no way I'm hiring someone to answer my phone. And I'm definitely not going to put on my website because then my competition is going to price shop me.
