prayer for small business owners

Mike Andes offers a prayer for small business owners in home services like landscaping and construction, asking for wisdom, provision, and peace during the busy spring season. He acknowledges the financial strain of early years and invokes Solomon's request for wisdom as a model for what to ask for.

If you're not religious or you get triggered by seeing people pray, just watch the next video. You don't need to spread hate. Save that for some other extremist group or terrorism organization that's also posting videos today on YouTube and on social media. But if you'd like to join me in a word of prayer for the upcoming spring rush for the small business owners and entrepreneurs that are heading into a very busy time of the year for the home service industries, you're more than welcome to join me in that.
Heavenly Father, we come before you so thankful that we have this opportunity to be able to depend on a source of strength beyond our own. So many of us maybe didn't come up with the best upbringing or money or education. And we are very aware of the deficiencies that we have in so many areas. And we need you. We need something to be able to tap into. And we don't have all together. We don't have all the answers. We don't understand everything. We don't pretend to know everything. And we need your help. We need your confidence, we need your counsel. We need the ability to be able to ask something of higher power than just our own knowledge and our own strength and our own abilities. And so, as we head into this busy time of the year, the next few months, when it's extremely hectic sometimes and there's a lot of stress financially and emotionally and physically, we're working long hours and stressed out sometimes. I pray that you would give each one a piece that passes all understanding. You would be a counselor. You would be the one that would give us confidence to be able to lead our families, lead our businesses, be members of the community that lift other people up. And despite whether or not we actually talk about you or would even reference your name, that you would show yourself through our lives and other people, whether it be employees, customers, vendors, members of the community, be able to look at our lives and know that there's something different about us, that we're tapped into something beyond just our own strength and our own abilities. And as Solomon, the Bible said, when he was praying and asking you for wisdom, he said, I'm but a babe. I don't know how to go in, how to go out. He realized that he needed something more than his own strength. And he, he came to you with humility in knowing that he had deficiencies and needed your wisdom. And you granted that to him. And so I my prayer for all listening today, the small business owners, whether lawn care, landscaping, construction, the home service industries, is that if they can recognize that they need you and that they need your wisdom, that you would be that for them, this coming spring rush, it's a stressful time, both physically working long hours, mentally and even emotionally with the family financially. For many, even if they're growing their business, especially in the first three to five years, it's just so difficult financially to be growing the business and also trying to provide for our families. And so I pray that you would be. That you would make up the difference whether it be financially, whether it be emotionally, whether we're lacking in some area. Over the next few months, as we try to grow our businesses, we try to provide jobs, we try to make it through in a pretty rough economic time that you would be the one that would provide. And you've never left us, you've never forsaken us. And I pray that over the next few months, you would be the strength giver and the giver of peace and strength. To each one that's listening today, we thank you that you are here for us and that we can depend on something that is greater than ourselves. And I pray that each one, you make them successful this coming year and that even despite all the insecurities, the failures, the problems that we have in ourselves, that you would make up the difference. You make each one successful this coming spring March. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name, Amen.
