So you think you're gonna start a lawn care business? Let me talk to you. My name is Mike Annies, founder of Augusta Lawn Care Services. We have over 50 locations around North America. And today I'm talking to you because you wanted to start a business. You want to get started. And the thing I'm telling you today is go get started. Don't allow paralysis by analysis and thinking and debating. And you're watching a hundred YouTube videos about the type of truck you should have and the type of mower you should have. And should I have a trimmer, should I have electric, should I have a 36 inch mower, should I have a 48 inch mower? Should I have an enclosed trailer? Should I have an open trailer? Should I have an 8 foot bed? Should I have a 6 foot be? Should I have a regular cab? Should I have a crew cab? These are all the questions and things that are filling your mind right now. And at the end of the day, you just need to get started. It's like literally standing in the middle of a road. If you come driving down here at 70 miles an hour and there is a deer standing out in the middle of the road, what does it do in the middle of the night when your high beams come, it freezes and it stops in the middle of the road and gets hit. And right now you have an opportunity. You have the idea, you have the ambition, the goal, the drive to actually start your business. That's the light, that's the opportunity coming your way. But don't freeze, freeze, don't freeze when that opportunity presents itself. When that light went other way to guide you forward and into the future. Now you're being frozen stiff. And what is that? Paralysis. Paralysis by analysis. And you never start your lawn care business. Oh, we'll do it next spring. And then next spring comes. Well, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to have a crew cab or if I was supposed to have a dump truck or if I was going to have a zero turn or a push mower. These are the crazy things that people do and think about that prevent them from starting their business. Guess what? Maybe you make the wrong decision. Maybe you get the wrong motor, maybe you get the wrong truck. But guess what? You got started. And there was no great business that ever became great without one thing. They started. There was a point in time where they began, and there was not necessarily a perfect linear journey for them to become really great. They made a lot of mistakes, made a lot of bad decisions. They made mistakes. I can guarantee you. Every single one, every single business that you look up to in your local community, like, oh, that landscape business, so big, they're so great. They've done everything right. They have so many trucks. I guarantee you they made mistakes. But every single one of them, one thing in common. They had to decide one day to pull the trigger and actually take action to their desire that they had. And if you want to start, if you want to get going, I encourage you, just go start. So I encourage you, if you're thinking about getting started, stop thinking about all the things that could go wrong and start making steps towards the thing that could go right. And it's a great business that one day you're proud of. But it all starts with one thing, and it's the first step out of the road, out of paralysis and actually doing and just getting started.
