Parents can do this too sometimes. My kid is accountable to us. Are they? Are your kids accountable to you? They're responsible for certain things, but are they accountable to you? He will argue nobody's accountable to you except you. And if you are a leader, you are accountable to them actually. It's your responsibility to support them, to be there for them. That's you. That's not on them the other way. That's not how that works. So they're responsible for the agreements, the values the family sets up. They're responsible to live that, absolutely. But they're not accountable to you. Accountable to themselves and living their values.
