Jesse keeps pouring drinks for Aaron until Aaron can't think straight, even though Aaron keeps saying yes. When someone is drunk enough to lose their mind, they can't actually consent, no matter what they say. This setup happens constantly at bars and parties.
We're going to imagine over here is where the alcohol is, right? Next to the alcohol, 2 of our friends. We're going to say our friends' names are— we're going to go with Jesse and Aaron. Now, Jesse's really into Aaron and giving Aaron a lot of alcohol. Don't get me wrong, Aaron's choosing to drink the alcohol to the point Aaron is no longer of sound mind. Now, Aaron's walking around talking, not of sound mind. We all know this is possible. You can walk around and talk incapacitated. Right? And so that's what's happening. Now what's interesting is Jesse is drinking very little alcohol. And what I hear all the time is that that character of Jesse who's drinking very little while feeding this person they're attracted to lots of alcohol is often doing this to try to get some. And when I ask people, hey, does this happen a little bit or a lot? They overwhelmingly tell me in bar and party scenes, what we are describing here, happens a lot.
