Consent is just permission to start, not a promise the experience will feel good. Even when everyone agrees, things can still be awkward or regretted later. It's a yes or no gate, not a quality guarantee.
Consent is everything. Consent is not everything. Consent is the bare minimum requirement. Huge difference. Could you have consent and could it still not be a great experience? Yes! You could both agree to it and it could still be uncomfortable. It could still be awkward. It could be something afterwards you regret even though you agreed to it. It's consensual, but you regretted it. So consent does not mean that it's something special necessarily. It means We can begin. That's all it is. If we don't have it, we can't do anything. If we do, we can start.
