Mike Domitrz argues that asking coworkers to describe their ideal daily work environment, then discussing it together, changes how teams work. Rather than imposing a model, each team co-creates its own definition of what an amazing workplace means.
How are you going to know what your coworker's experience of a mutually amazing workplace is going to be? What would you have to do? Talk to them. You have to talk. You have to ask, hey, what would this look like if every day you felt like you're walking into a mutually amazing workplace environment? It's a great question, by the way. You can learn so much about each other having these kind of conversations, right? It can be a game changer. Now people go, well, how do you define that then? Well, that's the cool part. You get to decide. So I'm not coming in here telling you this is what it looks like because that'd be unfair. I don't know your world, right? You get to decide that.
